I had been visiting him for a long time. A fantastic Salvadoran place with a super attention since you arrive and the waiter who served us, Bryan, very professional and attentive in his work. What we ordered was excellent, good flavor and very well made, the Mojito, spectacular, one of the best and the place very nice and cozy inside, I was really surprised. I give it a 10!!!

Delicious and affordable food! I had the Pupusa with chicken and cheese (fresh, good size and very tasty!) and the Horchata drink (this one particularly was refreshing, with a strong flavor but all in all, delicious!). We also ordered the Pupusa loca, which was huge but exquisite as well!.

Fantastic place for Salvadoran food. Had the chicharrón and queso pupusa ➕ the jalapeño queso pupusa which is just like mom used to make. Also had the sopa 🥣 de 🦐 camarones y cangrejo 🦀 which was perfecto 👌. Great place for dinner on a weekend. Also had salvadoran quesadillas (pastry) that was awesome.

Atlacatl Restaurant is a delightful dining experience with a beautiful ambiance and exceptional customer service. The highlight is the seafood paella—bursting with fresh flavors and generous portions, it’s a must-try! While it’s a bit pricier, the quality of the food and service makes it well worth it. Highly recommended for a memorable meal!

We had the Seafood Soup (Sopa de Mariscos) Carne asada, and pupusas. The food here is good, unfortunately the service has gotten worse and ridiculous throughout the years. Most of the waitress feel entitled to high or double tips! Beware!!! Gratuity is included in the bill but is hidden in plain sight, then, they expect you to pay additional tip. Our waitress got mad because my father complained about the high tip amount, for a $60 bill, she wanted $20 tip!!! She called a male co worker to intimidate my elderly father with some B.S excuse about the tips. Horrible service, we will not be going back. Its not the foods fault, go at your own risk. I believe all these 5 star reviews are by friends and family of the owners and staff. Nobody in their right mind would be ok with the tip scam they got going on here!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The staff is very polite and extremely friendly. Their food is delicious and amazing, with great portions. Wonderfully prepared. The prices are affordable. The hours of operation are great. I can come meet my friends after work, since they're open til midnight. Nice music playing in the background. The have a nice bar, and a menu with many options to choose from.

Delicious pupusas, just wish they had put more sauce, got 2 small cups for 3 pupusas and they were gone with one pupusa. Horchata was delicious.

This is a very good option for an affordable and tasty meal on Calle 8 Our group ordered steak, pork and chicken plates to share. Sides arroz Moro, boiled yuca and Plantains. This location is remodeled and looks beautiful you can see partially the kitchen and the incredible movement that happens inside The staff works hard to provide a tasty and meal quickly served. 1. Portions are noticeable smaller (my carne asada was served with 2 small pieces compared with past order with the same plate 2. A charge $.50 per container to go is added to your bill ( consider this is if requesting multiple containers) 3. Paying with cash is more convenient here because a fee for credit or debit card transaction of about $3 is applied Overall Good dining experience Considering the portion reduction and added fees still an affordable place to eat.

We had a pupusa taco which was delicious also the filet of fish tasted well both with large portions of food, this was on a monday late afternoon dinner. Service was good the ambiance had a nice private homey ranch feel to it. Parking is ample with site located on a main street near little havana. i rate about 3.75 stars

LA MISMA... no la cambiaron.. todavía estaba salada... otro mesero llegó y ofreció devolución; le dije no deseo devolución de dinero cambiela por otra sola PERO de res.. pues Ya no confío q me darán otra sopa de mariscos bien preparada.. regreso y me entrego la sopa de res para llevar y Ivan ajustar el precio... Tido de conformidad hasta ese momento... al llegar la cuenta Solo descontaron $7.00 ... sopa de marisco costo $25.99 menús sopa de res $12.50 CRÉDITO/Diferencia $13.49... y solo descontó $7.00 y como se pagó con tarjeta... cobraron recargo $7.41 ‍... dónde está el crédito de $13.49 y para COLMO adicionan propina $26.00 ‍.. una cuenta de $195.00 Ya con la propina /recargo/descuento $7. My place to go for Salvadorian food, I always order the pupusas, but notice they have an extensive menu and lunch specials, and all look GOOD !! The pupusar are only $ 4.95 each and 2 will more then fill you up. Had the Fried Calamares as an apertizer the other day, lightly battered and ample portion. The prices are reasonable, service is quick and friendly, free parking. Highly recommend.

I have been to this establishment before and when I first arrived I had ordered their seafood soup however it was way too salty and decided to give it another chance today. We decided to order it once again but this time the soup was cold and on top of that some family members of the owner or well acquaintances arrived and they were given higher priority than the tables around them ( us included) we also ordered additional plates, another soup and a fried appetizer platter they had. However it was obvious that one of the items was over fried and burnt in some areas. As for the workers they kept forgetting to bring basic items such as forks, napkins and it took a while to get their attention. Unfortunately I don't plan on coming again, it was very chaotic and not worth the trouble for that type of treatment

Best spot on calle ocho, my favorite spot When I'm in the mood for some authentic Pupusas ! Super delicious! Not only is the food amazing, the service is also excellent. Do you like coffee ? They have Best cafecito around.

Initially, it is obvious the place has had a facelift. It has been beautifully renovated and updated. It exhibits a modern look with an upscale yet relaxed feel. Upon arrival we were met by a polite and pleasant waitress who took our drink order. The drinks took only a few minutes and the food took about 15 minutes to arrive at our table. Everyone in our group had the same dish, the Huevos Rancheros/Ranch Style Eggs Special Breakfast (the special comes with carne asada). The breakfast includes sausage, carne asada, cream, cuajada (Central American soft cheese) refried beans, and cabbage salad with onion and tomatoes. Accompanied by warm tortillas (1 per breakfast, can order additional if desired) and a plate of plantains (2 pieces per breakfast). I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice and others in the table had American coffee or cafe con leche. Breakfast here is always delicious and well proportioned. The tortillas were warm, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the eggs were well cooked with soft centers. In summary, the service was great, the staff was polite and attentive and the food here never disappoints. It is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner at a great price. Good for families, friend groups, couples and individuals. The breakfasts start at $8.99. The special is $14.95. I went in a group of 4 and the total was $109 inclusive of tip.

My order 3 Pupusas revueltas 1 fried tacos de pollo 1 Horchata As soon as i finished placing my order they gave me the drink. Please note that it has ice which is an important detail for what's to come. Approximately 10 to 12 minutes pased and my order still wasn't ready. I noticed they were given out other orders, and once they were done, a bag remained on the counter which got my attention. Is that part of my order? Which they replied yes, it's the tacos. I've been said, but they've been sitting there for about 10 minutes already. To which they replied, yes it's that the tacos are fried so it's really quick and the pupusas take more time. I said wait, but if the tacos are made so quick, shouldn't they have left them for last to avoid them sitting here over 10 minutes getting cold? They said oh no, it's that they make things in the order that they come in. Do you understand now? Wiat what ? Long story short I didn't get my entire order until approximately a total of 22 to 25 minutes, which is how long the Horchata was just sitting there about that time that the tacos were just sitting there. Really sad because we really like this place and now I'm seriously considering not going there ever again.

I had lunch here with a friend. We sat at the bar. Staff is super friendly. Service is great. We ordered several items and everything was delicious. The chicken was my favorite. I had a side of fried yuca. The soup of the day on Monday was beef and my friend loved it, the bowl was enormous and a whole meal. Great spot, spacious with great ambiance inside.

Traveling to Miami and knowing that there is an Amazing restaurant that have everything that you looking for, good music, delicious food and amazing staff.

Do not go expecting to receive the advertised 30% discount with Primecard. On more then one occasion the manager has refused to use Primecard as payment and not offering to discount what is being offered. SCAM! They use the advertisement and then Refused to honor. Later instead of apologizing or offering to discount using another form if payment. She (the manager) end up arguing with you like if its your fault and refuses fix the situation. STAY AWAY!!!

One of the few places in the area with ample free parking and a free standing building. The place was recently remodeled, a very nice dining room along with outdoor dining as well. The staff were all friendly and smiling: The prices were reasonable and nice sized portions as well. They have a nice menu with multiple options and a large drink menu as well. In addition to being friendly the service was fast and food was good. They didn't honor the yelp check in offer so ask before ordering it. We will definitely be back to try other options. The flan wasn't big but it was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the flan!

Wonderful, quick service. Not as busy as the rest of the restaurants in the area on a Saturday night. Location has a Private parking lot and was able to accommodate a last minute large party of 13 with outdoor seating, on a Saturday night. Beautiful Food presentation, large portions and delicious. Unfortunately, got food poisoning from their seafood coconut milk soup. First time having Salvadoran food that was not homemade and as much as I would like to give this place a higher rating, I cannot due to the food poisoning incident.

I came with a coworker for lunch and really enjoyed it. We came for a quick bit and ordered the chicken tacos and chicken fajitas. The food was very good and the service very friendly. I would definitely be back for lunch if I'm in the area!

Stopped here to grab some bites for a family gathering i was going too. While i waited i got a bite to eat. Wings were ok and extremely small lol. The tamal was delicious. I wanted to point out that this business doesn't honor their Yelp Free HORCHATA when you check in. That is NOT a good look. I showed my waitress the free OFFER on Yelp whenever you check in and she came back to me after speaking with the owner and she said NO, they will not honor it. I just laughed and said ok but they shouldn't be false advertising. There was no explanation at all either. I spent over $100 with the food i ate and the picada trays that i ordered to go and still they wouldn't honor their "free horchata" . 2 stars for that!

Try to order on uber but idk why they don't letting me they have the Uber option off or sum ? And the prices are more high than the restaurant those is just crazy I Walt's used to come here bring a lot people here but now it's just different it's a disaster in this restaurant

Delicious. Daily specials are my go to. Sopa de frijoles is my favorite on Thursdays. Nice place, ok service. Had to speak to manager on previous visit to acknowledge price given on menu versus what they decides to bill. Second visit was good.

Our food was very good except for a steak that was a bit tough. It's nice to go out and try food from other countries. This place is for San Salvadorian food. The service is quick and efficient. The building has been remodeled and looks good. It could have a bit more character. The sangria was delicious! It's a large place but we did call ahead for a table since we were a party of six.

In my opinion, el atlacatl has the best pupusas you will ever find in Miami. The location in particular is pricier compared to their other locations. The restaurant was resolved a few years ago and it's "fancier" compared to the other locations. My two favorite dishes are their pupusas and antojitos.

This is the second time that I attend this restaurant. The first time the food was sequential and tasted good. Customer service was not 100 %, but the waitress was attentive and cordial. This time around the restaurant felt trap to the bad service. First in the restaurant business one must pay close attention to the customer. When instructions are given is for a reason and not for instructional purpose. The waitress even wrote down the information and still the food was non-sequential and the kitchen did not follow the instructions. If I would have been allergic to any item, that would have been catastrophic for the business. Not to mention that the food did not have the proper temperature and was missing items. Simple things like water fill up or refills on drinks as well as checking to make sure the customer is good are essential in the restaurant business. Finally, I do want to give credit to the other staff that was more attentive to our need, than our waitress. A rotal lacking customer service ability and hospitality. Definitely not recommending this location to friends or family.

Driving up I didn't think too much, the mix and match decor reinforced that. When the food came, however, my mind was changed! We ordered pupusas with beans and cheese and seafood soup (everyone was eating soup) was huge, three of us split it for lunch. EVERYTHING was tasty and felt like it was made with love. We also ordered a tres leches and while it tasted good the texture of the cake was a bit off. My only critique comes down to service! We were greeted and served extremely fast. A little too fast, we received our appetizer at the same time as the meal and it goes without saying that soup is not ideal cold. We also had to make several attempts to flag staff down for additional utensils and and the check. Overall I will be back and further explore the menu!

This is a Miami staple for Salvadorian food! All you need to know is that the pupusas ( A pupusa is like a thick griddle cake or flatbread filled with different things inside ) is a culinary staple in El Salvador, and here at el atlacatl they are the best in the city! The place has a cool look to it with its different murals, huge bar and big screen tv playing the whole menu. The staff is attentive and always give great customer service. The arroz with mariscos ( seafood rice ) also is one of my favorites the seafood is always fresh and gives my palette a run for its money. Not to be outdone by the churrasco that is soft and easy to cut with some gallo pinto rice and friend yuca it's sure to make your day that much better! Well recommended!

If you are looking for a great Salvadoran restaurant that serves delicious dishes in large amount! You need to give them a try! Food taste good and comes in generous size!

I'm a well known regular at this restaurant and I always go for the special breakfast with steak. Last night I stopped by for that and I tried their mantequilla this time and it tastes kinda old but I didn't think anything of it since I expect great service as a regular. This morning the stomach pain woke me up instead of my alarm. I'm not sure if it was the beans or mantequilla pero I'm not going back. My cousin who always joins me when I go also woke up to the same issue. Definitely food poisoning. Really sucks to leave this review since I love the food here but this experience made me think twice about showing up again. Forgot to mention we spent nearly $100 and tipped well so this is a disappointment for us.

I was glad to see they had an outdoor seating area. Service was fast and food was good. I took one star because the OJ tasted spoiled and they replaced it with an horchata (tasted good). The tamal and mantequilla were the best I've had in Miami. My partner ordered a lunch special, the churrasco and chimichurri was cooked just right.

Have to say was disappointed. Service was extremely slow, food lacked tenderness and it wasn't savory. Dishes ordered was yuca frita con chicharrón and while chicharrón was good the fact that they gave less than a quarter portion of curtido that looked more like dried cabbage was disappointing. When I requested more I was given cured onions instead. I also ordered a pupusas revuelta and this was good not great. The dough was a tab bit undercooked and needed more time on the griddle. The filling was good but again no curtido. The highlight of the meal was the tomato salsa. The salsa tasted super authentic. I would give this place a 1.5/5 Stars.

Excellent food. I had the carne asada with gallo pintos. The steak had soooo much flavor and the rice was moist and delicious. The service was average. It was a busy Saturday night so I won't hold it against them and I will definitely come back. If you don't speak Spanish, it may be challenging to order. The menu is in both languages but the server didn't speak English. The prices are reasonable and the food was amazing, which made it all worth it. Try it out!

My friends and I stumbled upon this place by accident. We parked a few blocks down and it started raining while we were exploring the area. We found this place by accident and were hungry so decided to get lunch here. (Didn't get to read the Yelp reviews). We just knew it was a Salvadoran spot. It was actually a big and busy restaurant. The service was decent. I just remember being cold and humid in there which was weird. I ordered the lunch special, a soup, mariscada con leche de coco. Seafood with milk and coconut soup; it looked and tasted like curry and the flavor was okay, it was on the saltier side. Another complaint, there wasn't enough seafood in it. It's a far drive for me so I don't see myself frequenting this place often. If you're in the area, check it out, you may or may not like it. I didn't try their other menu items but they had a huge menu.

Haven't been here in a while, great food and service, only thing I recommend is they put glass of water for each guest and when ordering appetizer to share bring small plates

Omg this has become our favorite restaurant to get breakfast. I can never get tired of their desayuno típico! My bf and I always split this big plate and order a side of 2 pupusas Trust me it'll be enough food for two. Pro tip: mix everything together! Grab the eggs and dip them in the crema and beans, take a bite of the queso and maduros...grab it all at once! So good

As someone who grew up in El Salvador, it pains me to write this review because I really want Salvadoran businesses to succeed. But this restaurant has gone downhill so fast I have to share so that customers looking for authentic Salvadoran cuisine know to stay away. Today I ordered pupusas from this restaurant... each one about $3.50 and almost all dough with little cheese. Very disappointing. But I don't let that bother me too much because the quality of the pupusa depends on who is in the kitchen that day... so maybe a bad day but wouldn't have made me write this review. We ordered a large number of pupusas and received only 4 one-ounce containers of sauce (after specifically asking for extra, they were only going to give me 2)... I know restaurants have to portion control but that's extreme. The sauce is an important part of the meal, and we had to eat more than half of our pupusas without it. The worst part of the meal, however, was the pickled cabbage ("curtido") that tops the pupusas. The primary ingredient in Salvadoran curtido is cabbage... this one didn't have any cabbage it was just onions. That's as far away from authentic as you can get. After asking the staff to confirm that this was indeed "curtido" with our food and not a mistake, it became clear that this restaurant has lost what once made it so special to people like me who miss our country's food. I used to love this restaurant, and I always try to visit Salvadoran restaurants in Miami and when I travel. This place was great once upon a time, but all the money they spent on renovations and making it look like a high end steakhouse would have been better spent on staying true to their roots and preparing authentic cuisine. You don't need a black napkin and waiters in ties and vests to eat pupusas. If you're looking for better Salvadoran in Miami, try "Cabanas Restaurant" on 8th street in Brickell or if you're willing to drive to South Miami try "Salvadoran Cusine" restaurant on SW 280th near Homestead.

This place is on my regular rotation and it never disappoints. Order the whole fried snapper - It may be the best in town. The staff is always friendly, delightful and smiling. The location has been recently renovated with a nice bar area and plenty of seating options.

Yum, Yum, YUM!!! If you're in the area and in the mood for pupusa and general Salvadorean food, you MUST go to Atlacatl!! I've been going to Atlacatl as a kid in Pembroke Pines and it's the first time I go to this location. I must say the establish has a more Central American feel to it then the Pines one. Unfortunately, the waitress lacked great customer service and friendliness but got the job done, thus the three stairs. However, the food continues to be delicious and consistent!! This time around I ordered the parrillada pequeña (small) and it was AMAZING! You can share this plate for two as the hubby and I did that. They served several selections of meats for a really great price and two sides. The meat was fresh and sizzling. Overall, you can't go wrong with Atlacatl when it comes to great dishes, just don't expect the service to be as great!

10/10 recommend for an authentic culinary experience. I come here weekly and have never been disappointed! Service is also usually very good.

The only place the where the waitress tells you to ask for things by saying please. I asked for more lemon and they said it was an extra charge. I asked for a to go container and they said it would be an extra charge. I asked for more napkins and wanted to know if I was gonna be charged for those too and she said that I needed to say please to get napkins Where she would not give them to me. Now this might sound funny but she told me with an added to it as if she were my mother. This place has good food but honestly the service is so horrible it just is not worth going. I understand being charged a to-go fee but usually they just put 1 fee' per ticket not per item. But most importantly why are the waitresses so rude? I honestly challenge anyone to go and be happy with the service.

Casual, laid-back & homey restaurant for classic Central American food. I've been coming here for YEARS, thanks to my Costa Rican father. Consistently delicious food at ALL locations with welcoming & warm service. I ordered to-go today & decided to try something new. Their "Filete de Salmón con Salsa de Camaron" (Grilled Salmon with Shrimp Sauce), a side of "Yuca Frita" (Fried Yuca) and un "Jugo de Mora" (fresh Blackberry Juice). Everything was AMAZING! The fish & shrimp were perfectly cooked & the light sauce was super flavourful with lots of onions & cilantro. Yuca was great & the juice was wonderful. Their tortillas are made fresh & don't miss their "Picante" or hot sauce filled with pickled vegetables (sounds wierd but TRUST, it's bomb!) Great place for great (& very affordable) food!

We came here in search of Hispanic cooking to feed my Hispanic roots. I am not Salvadorian, but there is nothing like a freshly made pupusa. The nine year old and I were hungry and I didn't want to cook. Go figure! Figured we could have something relatively homemade. So, the nine year old had rice, beans and eggs for dinner. I had a cheese pupusa with a side if maduros and a side of beans. Both dishes were freshly made, hot and delicious on taste. Would I come here again? For sure Would I eat the same thing? Most definitely What do I recommend? Their signature pupusas. The orchata. They have soups...different day different soup. Their fish soup which I think is on Fridays is delicious!

Super clean, staff is attentive! It does get busy especially weekends but they're pretty fast regardless! Food is yummy def recommend! Nice ambiance and Elegant

First time being here and I really Liked it, so I will go back for more had the bistic Al jalapeña and it was really good.

My family and I frequent El Atlacatl on a regular basis, depending on the day we go to different locations near us, but recently this has been our go to location. Really there isn't much to say, if you want some solid Salvadorian/Latin American food (pupas, cuajada, ect.) at a great price, you cant go wrong. The food is typically cooked just right, there are plenty of options, and like I said the price is right for the deliciousness. The only reason for the 3 stars is because the consistency of the food varies, and the service isn't stellar. The lack of consistency in the food can just be chalked up to, you know...being human, but it is worth mentioning - sometimes the eggs are perfect, and sometimes they're a bit burned. But again, people are human and it still hits just right. As for the customer service, the waiters typically seem like its painful for them to be there, and sometimes orders are forgotten, or they bring the order to the wrong table (multiple times). And also if you order to go you get charged .25 for the container, but if you order sit down and then ask for a to-go container there is no charge for it ... which seems just a little weird and off putting to me. But again, I still come here (and to other locations of this chain which don't have the same above mentioned critiques) and would still recommend this location to others. Just be aware of the mentions above.

Pupusas were really good! Service was not all that great and servers were not familiar with several Salvadoran dishes. Basically the only thing Salvadoran about this place was pupusas

I went to this location really eager and excited to get some pupusas-- albeit I came about a half hour before closing so I had a feeling we may not get to order. As soon as my partner and I walked through the door we were greeted by a friendly waitress and as we looked around for someplace to sit a man (who I can only assume was the manager) yelled across the room "tell them it's take out only!" The waitress uncomfortably passed along the message and after that not so warm welcome we decided to leave. I understand we came late but the customer service was definitely lacking. Can't say I'm tempted to go back, maybe they're other location is more amicable and I'll be sure to go before closing.
