Barcelona-style small plates, cocktails & wines served in a sleek, exposed-brick space.
"El Born feels more like a Spanish bar (with a big food menu) than a restaurant. The long bar takes up most of the space, and there are almost as many drink options as there are dishes. We like their gin & tonics, which come with things like with rosemary and thyme, and are about the three times the size of gin & tonics anywhere else. Get one of those, or try one of their Spanish vermouths, along with classic tapas like papas braves and croquettes. This is a great place to come before a night out in Greenpoint or Williamsburg. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Back in late Medieval times, this neighborhood was a coastal haven for aristocrats (several buildings date back to that era), but now it’s mainly a favorite area for artsy hipsters. If you’re into small galleries, vintage boutiques, and trendy tapas bars, you’ll feel right at home in El Born." - MATADOR_NETWORK
"Luxuriating in the backyard at Spanish restaurant El Born, enjoying a stellar lineup of tapas, with the standout being the Iberican pork ribs served boneless in a creamy potato and Idiazabal cheese puree." - Eater Staff
"This Greenpoint tapas spot is housed in a sleek, minimalist space, with a lengthy marble bar that serves several occasions well, whether it’s sampling a bunch of tapas or just a couple of drinks. Opened by restaurateur Elena Manich and chef Diego Gonzalez in 2014, El Born serves a family-style bottomless brunch for $27 per person, as well as an unlimited taco Tuesday deal for $12, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the bar." - Alexandra Ilyashov, Izzie Ramirez
