"El Mariachi Birria, initially a food truck, has now opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant. The restaurant is known for its braised beef birria served in various forms such as quesatacos, quesadillas, tortas, and birria ramen. They also offer al pastor and vegan soy chorizo tacos, with a keto option available by replacing tortillas with a crispy cheese shell." - Jade Yamazaki Stewart

Google
Blink and you could possibly miss the turn you need to get here. Stopped here on a whim and I'm glad I did! Was immediately greeted by the gentleman at the counter even while he was in the middle of a transaction. Not the impersonal kind of greeting but like we are good buds and he was so happy to see me! Lol. Hey man, it's the little things, you know... I went with the #1 (3 queso tacos) and WOW. Just WOW. I used to frequent a spot out on Casino for birria tacos. I can no longer remember the name of the place. El Mariachi has stomped on that memory. Good bye Felicia. My pictures nor the pictures here do the tacos justice. It's so damn good...especially when that ooey gooey cheese oozes out and and traces the outside of the taco while being grilled and becomes this beautiful crisp. Delish. Yaaaaaas beech....I also want to mention that I hate onions. But I sure ate the hell out of them picked onions. Yum. If you're allergic to grease and eating off a cookie tray, this place isn't for you. And that's ok because more seating for me. Otherwise, come hungry, don't wear your favorite shirt or at least tuck in a napkin before you eat, grab a coke and go to town! Oh... And please close the damn door behind you. It literally says it on the door. And only God knows where those flies have been out in these streets of Everett! I'll be back!

Google
First time eating here and will definitely come back. I arrived 10 minutes after they opened and there was already several customers there. Customer service was 10/10. Very friendly and kind enough to let me try a sample of their homemade horchata before ordering some. I had 2 Birria tacos. The plate came with a delicious green sauce, chili oil, pickled onions and cilantro. Prices are great as well. Definitely recommend.

Google
Talk about a lucky find! Driving through Everett, WA and craving tacos, we pulled into El Mariachi Birria y Tacos. What a gem! The staff was amazing, guiding us through their menu to a delicious decision: a Regular Taco Plate and their incredible Queso Tacos with that essential consome. It was a race to the finish line, messy and magnificent. The love the colourful decor especially the wall mural, "Bienvenidos El Mariachi"! There are limited parking spots. If you're in Everett, you know where to go!

Google
My partner and I ate here about a month ago, and we still talk about the delicious food. I had the queso birria tacos and a side of refried beans; everything was flavorful, and the two sauces were incendiary and addictive. His burrito was excellent as well. Kudos to the team for making food that is truly a joy to eat; we will be back for more soon!

Google
I got 3 queso birria tacos with consommé, rice, and beans, and a large horchata. The vibes and music of this place are amazing, and the customer service was honestly fantastic. The girl who worked the front today was so sweet! The food was also incredible and probably the best birria I’ve had in the area, if not Washington as a whole. Portions were also really good for the price. This place is so legit, and well worth the drive. 10/10 can’t recommend enough

Abigail Miller

Google
The queso birria tacos were so delicious! Generous portions of everything. Salsa and picked onions were great. I got take out. The person that helped me was so kind, remembered my name, and he knew the name of the customer who came in after me. Obviously a small locally owned biz! New favorite place.

Jim Askervold

Google
These guys are always great. Food is awesome especially the Birria queso tacos. Sorry I don't remember her name but the little Latina at the counter rocks. You guys are the best.

Google
Seriously this may be one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my LIFE!!!!!! The birrria was unreal. Our whole group enjoyed every bite. The only downside is we can’t eat here all the time because we have to fly home tomorrow. It was so good we went back and got a second order to eat tonight. And this was after a full foodie tour of Seattle. Easily the best meal of our entire trip!!!

Chris L.

Yelp
Best tacos in Everett hands down. I've been going to El Mariachi since they opened their restaurant on Everett. Their queso tacos are the best I've ever had in Everett... possibly ever. The consome is the perfect compliment to the tacos. The cilantro and pickled red onions with hot sauces pair perfectly. I usually go right when they open to best the rush, but they're worth the wait if you can't. I've had the Ramen, and while it's good, it can't beat the queso tacos, in my opinion. Their keto tacos are also a good choice. I really enjoy their horchata and tres leches.

Caitlin R.

Yelp
Fire Tacos were on point and customer service was next level. This placed was packed and for good reason. Tres leches was PERFECTION

Nausheen D.

Yelp
Wow! Did not know a gem for Tacos existed right in Everett! Its a cute little spot on hwy 99 with a pretty decor and some really amazing tacos. We had their Birria and pollo tacos that we ordered with rice and beans. The chicken in those tacos is scrumptiously soft and juicy! The green salsa that tacos come with is really flavorful! There are limited parking spots but we got lucky! Reasonably priced.

Goos Y.

Yelp
Ate in. Service was quick. Food was ok. Keto taco was greasy but it's a cheese shell so that's to be expected. The regular taco was good. I would eat here again if I was in the area but it's not something I would crave.

Carol C.

Yelp
We are so happy to finally try this amazing place. The birria ramen and street tacos were flavorful, and service was friendly and fast! Very casual and cozy dining space and limited parking might be best for to-go orders. We'll be back!

yeti m.

Yelp
Sent me regular tacos insteadof 3 Keto Tacos , than immediately removed 3 Keto Tacos from menu on DoorDash, if you dont have the product dont accept the order

Allison H.

Yelp
Stumbled across this place while driving through town and I'm so glad I stopped! I ordered the 3 cheese tacos with rice and beans. It. Was. So. Damn. Good.

Annie G.

Yelp
The birria tacos were a slice of heaven. Best I've had. The place was completely full by 5:30 with a line to the door. Completely understandable. Will be here several times a month. Folks working were helpful and everyone in the place had that 'ohhh myyy goodnesss this is delicious' face on!

Muriel K.

Yelp
We had al pastor, birria, & chile Colorado queso tacos & all were fantastic! Their consume is the best I've ever had!

Derrick G.

Yelp
This restaurant serves some of the best tacos I've had in the area. I ordered tacos of several different varieties, all had exceptional flavor. Also, I ordered a side of rice, which was delicious, and the taco sauces were very good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Dustin P.

Yelp
Best Quesabirria in town, these guys have fire food and are quick and have great service

Jeremy A.

Yelp
If you have not hit up this hidden gem in North Everett, do yourself a favor and try it. I have been eating their Queso Birria tacos since they only had a food truck. Now it's made extra easy and convenient now that they have their own brick and mortar! I frequently bring co-workers and friends to this spot. If you go for lunch be prepared. There is limited parking and seating. The inside is clean and and has a nice ambiance. The owners are always working, and all of the employees are friendly and very delightful. I stopped by for their Thursday special 2 orders of the Queso tacos and 2 sodas for $20(I don't know how long this will last it's such a good deal). I have brought people that have said 3 tacos won't be enough, but I have yet to have anyone leave not full and happy. Now they offer other items, but I have a hard time ordering anything else than the Birria Queso tacos. If it ain't broke don't fix it! I have had friends order different meats and also the ramen Birria. Not one dissatisfied customer. Everything so far is a home run. Doubt it'll change!

Angela C.

Yelp
I love this place! The food is phenomenal. The service is great - everyone is always so friendly! Sometimes there's a wait for the food, but I never mind. It's always hot and it's the best Birria I've had. They even have a rewards systems and you can get a discount on tacos!

Doug P.

Yelp
Ordered the Al pastor tacos this time, ordered a burrito last time, loved both meals! Great tasting food for a good price, will come back anytime! Always such fast and friendly service here!

Richie D.

Yelp
My friend and I visited El Mariachi Birria Y Tacos in search of a good birria spot in Everett. It was busy when we arrived, and parking was hectic with the limited available parking spots. When inside, there was a decent amount of seating available and significant decor in the restaurant. The staff member who took our order was patient and provided helpful suggestions. We ordered the Queso Birria taco and Al Pastor taco. Our food took about 15 minutes to be ready, considering big orders were placed before us. Nonetheless, we were stunned by the presentation of our meal. It was neatly organized with available toppings such as cilantro and pickled radish, which we added to our tacos for flavor. The meat of the Queso Birria taco was well-seasoned and juicy, with a nice crunch. The sauce was a great addition to the taco, adding more flavor. Overall, I highly recommend this birria spot to taco lovers out there!! I find this place one of my favorite taco spots in Everett due to the price and food quality! I will return for more :)

Sophia T.

Yelp
Our team had a big order, so even though we had our pickup time right when they opened. It wasn't done till an hour later. Everything was so yummy and filling. Cheese beef Queso tacos (birria)- super crispy texture on that complimented with the soup Quesadilla- crispy cheese filling on the inside that was addicting. Beef taco - the pickled onion and cilantro paired well with the beef tacos and sauce

Trista H.

Yelp
I finally had the chance to stop into the brick & mortar location. In the past I have only ordered from the food truck when scheduled at local breweries. There is free parking in the small parking lot shared with the laundromat. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors is small with only a handful of tables. There didn't appear to be any AC on my visit. Alcohol is not served. I have only eaten the tamales from their food truck and was quite disappointed to learn that tamales are a specialty and only served during select times, such as around Thanksgiving. I placed a to-go order of two Queso Tacos for $4 each: one Pollo (chicken) and one Al Pastor (Pork). I also ordered a side of Rice and Beans for $5. Of the two meat choices, I preferred the Pollo. The Pastor had a subtle cinnamon flavor that I didn't care for. Both tacos were full, quite filling and greasy. The beans are more on the runny side but had good flavor. The rice was standard Mexican rice. Allow yourself 15 minutes to walk in and place a to-go order. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, I am happy to have finally stopped into El Mariachi; however, I'm not quite sure if El Mariachi will be on my rotation due to the fact that it's not really as convenient as I had originally thought and I'm not used to the high levels of grease in my diet.

Yelp
Delivery review In short Killer birrieria. The Herald up here has been flipping out over it, and so have lots of other online sources. Easy to see why. In long It's better to check out a place in person for your first meal there (let alone first review), because not many foods are designed to sit in a car for 15 minutes before you tuck in. This is a small place, though, and tacos travel a bit better than other things, so here we are. Now that I've eaten the food I kinda wanna fight the parking and seating hassles and check 'em out firsthand. Quesadilla (Chile Colorado) Thick and juicy. Lots of quesadillas are about as thick as two folded tortillas; places just skimp on filling. Not here. Big messy delicious portion. Tons of smoky deep flavors in the carne and the chile. Red & Green salsas worked perfectly with every dish. Queso Tacos (Carne Guisada) Nice layer of white cheese under super-tasty carne. Tons of seasoning flavor, very tender. Plenty of limes, cilantro, and onions on the side. I already want more of these less than a day later. Esquites Awesome dish hardly anyone else seems to have. Crunchy corn, other great veg, plenty of delicious flavors. Keto Tacos (Birria, Carne Guisada, Chile Colorado) Best keto tacos around up here. Almost crunchy on the shells, which ya never get. Awesome meat flavors. So cool that you can get 3 different meats in one order of 3 tacos. These folks nail everything, starting with the meats. Awesome deep complex flavors. Not crazy spicy, all savory notes. Salsas are similarly savory with not a crazy amount of heat. Extra salsas are 75 cents for 2 oz or so. Worth it! You will drench something with them and run out if you don't get extra. Generous sides. Prices are more than fair. Competition for Mexican food bragging rights gets fiercer and fiercer all the time up here, even with a really good newer spot going under this year.

Todd W.

Yelp
I highly recommend El Mariachi, the food is amazing and the service is on-point. I regularly stop in for my taco fix and the birdie never disappoints. The staff keep the place clean, are friendly and always get it done.

Rachel S.

Yelp
This is the best Mexican and Mexican-fusion spot in the Everett area in my opinion. Felt like a bit hole in the wall vibes due to its location, but don't be turned away by any of that; the food is worth the visit. Staff are always friendly and the cooks in the back work hard to ensure that the food is out with minimal wait. A very welcoming environment and a great small business to support. The food is flavorful and very filling. I've ordered to-go and for dine-in and have never been disappointed. Also reasonably priced and consistent! My favorite items include the birria tacos, queso tacos with chicken, and the standard meat + rice and beans plate with tortilla on the side. Be sure to check the daily deals for a discounted meal. If you are looking for something sweet, the tres leches cake is tasty!

Kara M.

Yelp
Great food! Our second time here and it's all been amazing. Love that there is a vegetarian option with soyrizo!

Frank J.

Yelp
Birr-i-a-tas-tic! Aight, being from LA I know a thing or two about good tacos. This place checks all the boxes! The proprietor of the joint is also a fellow Angelino so I had high hopes, and they delivered! I know I'm kinda hyping it up but I (nor my crew) were not disappointed, we had quesitacos of: birria, tinga, al pastor. They were all good, granted the tinga coulda been a bit spicy but flavors were all there. The 3 they serve you in the combo is worth the price and they are filling, I'm a big boy and can eat and I got full off the 3 (I'm just sayin). But do yourself a favor and try them out! Happy eatin, -FJ

Anand W.

Yelp
Driving by Everett we stopped at this Taco place, I had very little expectations but this place is bomb. Their tacos are on point. We tried, Al Pastor, Birria, soy and chicken taco. None of the tacos disappointing. The staff was friendly too.

Nisi N.

Yelp
So I went here another time and we ate at the restaurant it's nice inside but parking is so so crowded The employees were so nice abs friendly But the food ! My husband got a meat burrito and he liked it was big I got my favorite ALPASTOR tacos street style and the meat is odd taste I don't understand why

Sara W.

Yelp
The food was really good and tasty! I ordered online for takeout and it was ready when it was supposed to be. Picking up was easy, too! The employees were friendly. The food was really good. The al pastor street tacos were pretty spicy. The rice and beans were really good! I loved the tortillas. The birria tacos were good and so was the consomme. I wanted to order an additional side of rice and beans but it said it was sold out online. The parking lot is small and is shared with another business. There was only one spot left when I got there on a weekend at 5:30pm. I couldn't really see anywhere else to park, so that may be an issue.

Shawana L.

Yelp
So now that I've gotten the regular tacos and the queso tacos I feel fully equipped to give a review. Queso tacos for the win!!! They came out so hot and delicious! I could only finish two because they are so filling but damn, they got it right. I love the pickled onions and the copious amount of cilantro they provide with the tacos. I got three different meats for regular taco and all were great but I do have to say, I'll be returning for the queso tacos. Staff is super nice by the way!

David L.

Yelp
Really good birria tacos that you can find north of the Seattle area in Everett. The queso birria tacos are cheesy solid tacos and packed with meat! I would definitely come here again to grab some great birria Food I got the queso birria taco plate and would get it all over again. The tacos are filled with meat and are a decent portion size. I do wish there was more cheeseyness to it but there was a good amount. There taco shell itself is nicely toasted and the consumme was good. A decent amount of rice and beans in the side to go with your tacos. Atmosphere The restaurant is very casual and has a couple of tables to sit at. Noise level wasn't too bad when I went but I could see it getting loud since the space is small. Big windows to let in light. Pricing Prices were decent and not too expensive. I've had more expensive tacos from taco trucks or places in the Seattle area. Good prices for the amount of food and quality. Service Order at the counter and then you can eat the food inside the restaurant if you want but seems like a lot of people take it to go. Bus your own tables. The service was good and friendly. Other Kind of a small parking lot in front since it's shared with a buddy laundromat next door.

Jamie P.

Yelp
This is the best Birria i've had in Washington. It's a little drive for me but worth every mile. They never miss every time I go to their restaurant. Their service is always amazing. The food always comes out fresh and pretty quickly. I have never been a fan of burritos, but for some reason, their Birria burrito there is amazing! I get it every single time I go. The honorable mentions the Birria ramen and quesadillas are great! I pretty much crave it at this point. And what makes it even better is on Thursday they have a burrito special. I always will come back as long as they keep the food and service as good as they have!

Becky P.

Yelp
A great and filling dinner in Everett! The staff at the cashier was very nice (the owner?) and recommended the burrito, since it was burrito Thursday. Lunch special is from 11am to 2pm. I loved all of the pickles, sauces, and limes that came with our meals, especially since birria can be heavy. The birria queso tacos were absolutely flavorful with the consome. The birria burrito was likewise very tasty. The only thing I'll say is that the tortilla did get a little soggy towards the end. This is more of a fast casual place.

Chanel O.

Yelp
These tacos were soooo good! My favorite taco place by far. My boyfriend and I went on Tuesday, they have these for 20% off! I wish they gave more of the green salsa instead of the spicier red salsa on the right side. Some pico de gallo on the side instead of the veggies would be way better as well but it is still amazing. The lady at the front desk was kind and the service was pretty fast. It was clean inside but there were a lot of flies inside but probably just because it was a hot day when we went. Would definitely go back and recommend to family and friends

Dimitri J.

Yelp
This is literally my favorite restaurant in Washington. And just so happens to be run and owned by the nicest people you'll ever meet. I swear their food cures depression

Christina B.

Yelp
Good vibes and the food is always amazing! The queso birria tacos and birria ramen are the best

sean w.

Yelp
It's just the best, you try to find a place that compares but you can't. The staff and the food is amazing.

Angelia V.

Yelp
A well known and loved local taco truck has its own official taco shop! I've known about their truck for a long time now but always missed opportunities to try them out! I was excited to hear they opened up a permanent location. We finally had the opportunity to try it last week and let me tell you, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!‍ Their food is so good! Definitely worth the hype. We also got birria quesadillas. We over ordered bc we couldn't decide what to get and just wanted to try everything. But we ate the rest for leftovers the next day and it was still good. It does get crowded quick so something to keep in mind. We opted for to go since it was pretty packed when we arrived but it was fine! They gave us plenty of toppings and everything we needed with our to go order. Even though it was really busy the food still came out quickly. The customer service was great too! Portions are great and prices are fair. The quality of the food was excellent. Even as leftovers it was still really good. If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying this place! We'll definitely be back to try their other menu items.

Abby F.

Yelp
Great burrito or birria tacos! Super good and always tastes amazing!!take out is easy and quick!

Jayde L.

Yelp
I have only ever seen the taco truck so I felt pretty dumb when I was looking around for it and didn't see it even though I followed the address they have listed on Yelp. Well that's because they have a store front now! It's not very big but they have 4 tables for people and currently there are 3 families, one with 5 people and there's room for everyone. I ordered the queso tacos, quesadilla, and esquites. I was highly disappointed, especially for the price. The esquites was definitely not worth it and my quesadilla was disgustingly greasy and the meat on the tacos was dry. Definitely sucks because I know others have recommended this place but I would not eat here again. It also took about 40 minutes to get my food.

Ben R.

Yelp
This place slaps. Maybe because it's my first time eating Birria but I was with a friend who is very experienced with birria tacos and she said they were bomb. Obviously as a first timer I was blown away. The Wednesday ramen special was like ten bucks too. For real? Seriously? In this economy!? You gotta find deals like that! Service was fast and the folks were friendly.

Brant J.

Yelp
A delicious lunch for 10 bucks? Yup. Just tried this place for the first time. Solid, lip-smacking, napkin-needing birrias, with all the necessary trimmings. Nice staff, they look like they are enjoying themselves as well.

Jaehyung C.

Yelp
Some of the best tacos in the Seattle area! The birria tacos are delicious, and their green sauce is unlike any sauce I've ever had. I would go back to buy just the green sauce - that's how good it is! We ordered takeout, got our food within minutes, and it was still great at home. I personally would not get the taco plate because the rice and beans portions aren't too large, but they are still good and enough to fill you up! Next time I come back, I plan to get 5 birria tacos. An absolute gem of a restaurant :)

Jen B.

Yelp
Omgoodness the food is amazing. Authentic. The waitresses weren't very attentive. We sat a long time before they took our order. It was freezing. And the music was so loud we had to yell to have a conversation. Next time I'll order take out.

Cassandra F.

Yelp
I came here claiming not to be hungry and proceeded to inhale my tacos before I remembered to get a picture. My husband and I ordered: Queso taco 3 regular tacos: Birria, Al pastor Carne Guisada +Esquites (a bowl version of street corn) I don't know how to rank them. Everything was delicious. I can't remember when I had better tacos. The tortillas are lightly fried so they maintain structural integrity but aren't "hard shell tacos." All of meat was great and generously portioned per taco.

Lamin D.

Yelp
I been there for a long time and it is so good love el mariachi. the queso birria tacos are yummy

Jeff N.

Yelp
Going to update my review with tonight's order I noticed some more options available so game on! My son also got in on the order so one of the pictures is of the torta he chose with guisado as his meat choice, we both hadn't had this before basically it's a thick beef and potato stew on a bun almost a French dips cousin. I got to try a bite and have a taste of my own it wasn't spicy more savory if you want heat it up put some of the red hot sauce on it but be careful that stuff is super hot. I chose the queso birria taco plate with beans and rice and a new item esquites which is a corn and cheese salad. I've had the birria tacos before and they are a very delicious filled with tender braised beef and queso cheese that gets dipped in the braising sauce so good!! I was glad I ordered the esquites the corn and cheese had just a touch of a salty and slightly spicy red sauce a really nice contrast to the tacos I really recommend it. My wife had picked up our order and she informed me that the restaurant was slammed with customers picking up their orders and a lot of door dashers too but she didn't have to wait too long and they got our order right which was good because my son and I asked for extra verde sauce since the rojo sauce is way too spicy for us. I haven't been to Mexico so I'm not sure how authentic the menu is but it's way better than the chain restaurants in my humble opinion you should give them a try I think you'll be glad you did!!

Joey L.

Yelp
Probably the best tacos I've ever had :). I always crave them. Birria itself is the juiciest. The restaurant itself is really cute and clean. Service is always nice and friendly. Also such a good deal compared to other places.

Tommy W.

Yelp
Hands down the best tacos in Everett, Wa. Did I mention their Birria and consume are awesome? You'd be missing out if you don't come here.

Rum M.

Yelp
Awesome birria tacos. Flavors are great, ample supporting condiments. Professional presentation in a to-go box is not something you see everyday. At the time of this writing an order cost $13 which seems fair for the amount of food you get. With good hip hop playing (Fazers by King Geedora) and Mexicans eating at a Mexican restaurant, this is a tell-tale good sign. If you serve birria in this area you have serious competition.

Monika C.

Yelp
I know I rate a lot of businesses 5 stars, but if I could I would rate El Mariachi Birria 10 stars. I do not have a single complaint except for the fact that I eventually had to stop eating them. Round 1 we got 3 regular tacos with consomé on the side. We ended up ordering one more of the queso tacos just to try it. My husband literally drank the broth. It was so good we didn't even think to take pictures.

Hailey J.

Yelp
I had the queso birria tacos and the birria ramen (not pictured) and both were so good. if this place wasn't so far away from my work i'd eat here on break every week!!! their portions are plentiful and the flavor is to die for!!! better than any mexican food ive had here. they used to be a taco truck but after gaining popularity they moved to a storefront, and I see why :)

Amanda S.

Yelp
Best birria tacos in Everett! Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking can be a challenge since it shares a lot with the laundromat next door.
