El Taller Seve Díaz

"A restaurant in which guests are definitely considered the star attraction, a notion reinforced by the sparkling cuisine on offer here. In this centrally located eatery, occupying a single-storey property with an impressively contemporary decor and layout featuring a split-level dining room and open kitchen, the culinary focus is on two tasting menus (a short option entitled “Sorpresa” (Surprise), and a second simply called “Largo” (Long)), both of which have a contemporary edge and are based around seasonal ingredients from the Canary Islands. The native Canarian black pig and fresh fish caught in local waters are a constant on the menu." - Michelin Inspector

unforgettable dining experience! We were so grateful that the manager and team were able to find us a last-minute reservation it truly felt like a gift. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the chefs are simply artists. Every dish was like a performance, beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious for me, the food is a true 10/10. The atmosphere is elegant and calm, maybe even a bit too quiet for my personal taste, but still very refined. If you’re in Tenerife, make sure to book in advance so you don’t miss the chance to experience it. Thank you so much to the whole team for giving us such a memorable evening!

We had the pleasure of dining at this fine restaurant on two separate evenings. After our first visit, we were so impressed that we knew we had to return once more before our departure — and we were able to do so two days later. On both occasions, we chose the six-course tasting menu. With the exception of the amuse-bouche and one dessert, the menus were different each time. They included two starters, two main courses, and two desserts, all for €65. We were thoroughly impressed by the creativity of each dish, and every course was a delight in terms of flavor. The service was also excellent — each dish was carefully explained to us in detail. One small suggestion for improvement: it would be nice to have the menu written down somewhere, so that guests can later recall and appreciate what they had the pleasure of enjoying. All in all, a highly recommended experience.

Google
Exceptional food and dining experience. Each course excelled at highlighting the wonderful ingredients Tenerife has to offer. The care the chefs had through each individial dish that was served was out of this world. From start to finish every dish was a new and different flavour explosion. Front of house team delivered the passion in each dish with a warm and welcoming explanation of what was served along side their charasmatic and charming personalities. Thanks again for a night we won't forget.

Superb food. Best meal without a star I have had for over a year. I rated four course at two stars or maybe more. At some point somebody at Michelin will come to their senses. Need to book three months in advance, now you know why…

Google
Outstanding restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz. From start to end, all has been amazing. Very friendly and knowledgable staff that show a real passion for food & wine. We took the 6 course surprise dinner including a wine pairing. Very rich flavours in all dishes & the wine pairing consisted of only national wines. We felt we even got more quality then what we paid for, well done!

Very very good. The food is exceptional excellent. No idea why this restaurant has no Michelin star (maybe to some incomprehensible rules of Michelin). Especially the "Egg at low temperature" is a very creative composition. I would even think to travel again to Tenerife to eat here again...

Google
The food was excellent and accompanied by detailed explanations for each of the 11 courses. The lamb and tuna taco were really delicious. We weren't particularly keen on the prawn dish, but it was interesting and well-executed. The first few courses came out quite quickly, but we had a long drive back to the South after dinner, so didn't mind this too much. The only real misstep was serving a peanut petit four with our coffee when we had made clear (on the day and in advance) that one of us had a peanut allergy. The meal was still enjoyable, but this part of the service needs some attention

Google
We had the surprise menu, and every dish was very well thought out and tasted very good with interesting combinations. Also friendly staff with good explanations of the combinations you're about to taste. Next time we will take the bigger 11 course menu for sure! Only improvement for us is to have more alcohol free drink options, mocktails, juices, more soft drinks or something interesting to combine with the dinner as non-drinkers.

Yelp
What an hidden dimond. The place are modern, with wood at theme, light and cozy. It opened newly decoreated 1st October 2015 so its not worn. Even without cushings on hard wood the chairs where nice. This very modern and I felt at home as a modern nordic european. This not super fancy but really nice. Five stars, 25 pst value. Service was done by a modern young man. Cool glasses, cool beard, cool way of beeing, open and friendly, wow nice. His english was not to good. And the price fir the set menu that was written on the chalk board of 39 was pronounsed 29 allso after a double chech. Confusion started in my head. It did not get any better when soup became soap. Food came perfectly timed, it was hot and dishes got taken away. With bad english and a ton of modern charm I have to end this at four. 25pst value. And now the BIG supprise, wow what a food at what a price. They had a six course meal with homade bread, smal welcome dish, 2x entrance, 1x fish, 1 x meat, 2 x dessert for 39 EURO! And this where nothing you would do at home unless you are stolen Michelin chef from the surrounding best ranked Michelin restaurant. Let me walk you trough the dinner: first a basked of four different breads with a pest, tomato pesto, oil, salt and butter. I ate half mmm nice. Then he came with a local chees crocette, hevy but balanced. First entrance a tunafish tartar blended in sweet an sour out a balikum sorbet, an explosion of good tasted. Talking about making a good first impression. Game was on Second entrace, that was too big and heavy, was creamed potato soup with poaced egg on a bed og basilikum oil and bacon crumble. Wow another time. My wife was full here, and i where concerned. Fish was local Sea bass? prepared with a safran sauce and a spoon of very good potato purre. This was good. Mead was duck cooced to perfection, sliced on top of a bed of sauted but still crisp vegetables. First dessert was cookie, chockate cake, chockate crumbles, choclate musse. That was very heavy cust choclate lovers like it. I went with mouse. A touch of contrau or wiskey might make it even better. Second dessert was a resberries and steawberries in chunks as a bes with the same in a sorbet. Overall food for Michelin star resturant and a Bib Gourmad. Food are beond yelp rating as a six, truly creative an vibrant. 50 pst What about value 2 x 39 + wine + cuba libre, coffe included, water included under 99 euro are superb. They actually just charged 30 for my wife. Walking home i where so full and happy. I had some bad thoughts about not tipping but he told me 29 for the menu and charged 39. Total: Interior (5 x 0,25)=1,25, Service (4 x 0,25)=1 with charm, Food (6 x 0,5) = 3 = 5,25 and over full score.
