El Tigre Coffee Review - East Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"El Tigre is a small coffee trailer that recently moved to the Arbor Food Park from their previous spot in South Austin. They roast their own coffee, sourced from ethical farms across the world, and there’s a simple menu with most of the standard espresso-based drinks, as well as cold-brew and coffee by-the-pound. But what they may lack in choices, they make up for in quality, with silky-smooth cold-brew and a great espresso." - Nicolai McCrary

Lil airstream on the East side outfitted with cozy seating, damn good espresso drinks and even freshly made breakfast sandwiches! We sat outside and enjoyed the retro vibes in the neighborhood. It was a pleasure being served by Paige and Carlos behind the counter— we quickly became friends. There’s free parking in the neighborhood and a bathroom in the Nextdoor vinyl shop, Keep Looking.

The service was super nice and knowledgeable. One of the best coffees I’ve ever had - the Mexican iced coffee. Had a great experience here, just wish they had indoor seating.

This is the best coffee shop in East Austin! They recently had to relocate, and now serve customers in a beautifully refurbished airstream, parked on a spot that used to be a mechanic's shop. Walk inside to order, where you'll be greeted with classy decor, great tunes, and little table on one end if you want to take a seat. They offer up some tasty, tasty drinks — I looooove their iced chai, and my husband says their espresso, made wth their own roast, is fantastic! — with an assortment of pastries, and breakfast tacos during the week (M-F), then a great little sandwich & salad menu on the weekends. SUPER friendly barristas, plenty of outdoor seating! We walk there every other morning or so. Definitely the best local coffee spot in our area!

Felt awkward about asking them to remake it when they kind of already did. Barista didnt steam enough milk so they resteamed a smaller amount and dumped it in which led to the flat white being too hot with zero milk texture

El Tigre offers an amazing drink experience, especially the matcha with cacao mushroom powder. It has an oddly nostalgic taste that’s hard to put into words but keeps you coming back for more. Sitting inside the airstream is cozy, especially in their U-shaped couch corner surrounding a table. It’s the perfect spot to relax and watch the barista work their magic.

We wanted to check out a local Austin coffee shop to work from. This place stood out as it was in a trailer, but had plenty of seating outside. The inside only has 1 table, but they have several picnic tables outside to enjoy. Beans for purchase along with merch. Cool spot, I’d recommend.

Great, great new coffee spot in East Central Austin. It's tucked in the back but very open, outside area, small tables and inside area. The coffee was great and service was even better. They have bags of coffee, sell muffins and bagel s, and enforce safety measures. Very, very happy and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The service is very quick and the coffee is good. The staff is always friendly. It's a relaxing atmosphere and there's air-conditioning in the second room and inside the trailer They also have Wi-Fi

Yelp
Came around 9:30 ish on a Wednesday, and was able to find a spot in their parking lot. There was only one barista available so I waited a less than 3 minutes to order but patience is a virtue and clearly could see they are doing their jobs. I ordered an iced latte with whole milk and flavor was nice. I took to go, but they do look like the offer WiFi.

Yelp
I'm on a quest to hunt for the best coffee in Austin! This place was good but not necessarily anything to write home about. I had an event to go to on a Sunday morning and decided to look up coffee places near me, and the name really stood out. Google maps took me about a block and a half away from the actual location. I think they must have moved because there was a painted wall that also said El Tigre coffee roasters. When I finally arrived, I asked about their 3 different beans which I was surprised to find out that they only served their Brazil beans in house. The other 2 you would have to buy to be able to try. ‍ I ordered the Cold Brew. The best way I can put: It was good. The coffee has a subtle bright taste up front but mainly stayed more in the medium roast realm that wasn't too bright, bitter, or strong. Seemed to have good extraction but also felt it was a little weak on the end. I might come back if I'm in the area, but I'll probably keep searching at other places as well. Regardless, the name, merch, and coffee bags all looked amazing. I wish them nothing but success.

Yelp
This was my first time trying El Tigre, and I was happily surprised! I've heard great things from friends so I knew I had to try it. The non-permanent and renovated airstream trailer was very cute and well furnished, and had cool air. The barista was very nice and helpful, so that always helps! And I decided on an iced caramel latte with whole milk, and it was perfectly sweet, the espresso had a prominent flavor and it was strong on the palette, and overall was refreshing in this heat! And the pastry was also very good!! I honestly can't wait to be back, I was delighted to find such a hidden gem!

Yelp
I love that they open early and I can swing by and get coffee before I go to work. The staff is really friendly and makes coffee quickly. They accommodate requests for flavors and always make what you want as you asked for it. I really like this new location because I can walk to it from where I work. I like all of the outdoor seating and the umbrellas. I do wish they had tacos and more pastry options but I'm sure that will come later on.

Yelp
I've been passing by this joint every day on my way to work, gave it a shot at lunch break. Great service today from ally at the counter, coffee is awesome and they've got some BOMB-ass breakfast burritos. Such a cool original outdoor coffee shop concept, go give this one a try!

Yelp
Great coffee and breakfast tacos! Love their new location and patio on E. 12th St. in East Austin. Definitely recommend.
