11 Great Places To Get Pizza By The Slice - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"When we need a giant slice of pizza with a side of sports, The Elbow Room is our spot. And since it’s open until 2am most nights, this Buckhead sports bar and pizzeria is one of our favorite late night haunts. At $3, their dependably good slices are easy on our pockets. And they have plenty of topping options, which range from pineapple to banana pepper. We don’t even mind the tacky copper tiled walls since we’re usually focused on TV highlights from the day’s games. And if we’re ever with a group of non-pizza lovers (we don’t actually know these people), The Elbow Room’s giant menu of calzones, burgers, and a foot-long hot dog has enough for those haters to explore." - nina reeder, juli horsford

The 10 Best Late Night Restaurants In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"No one is trying to spend precious brain energy at 1am trying to figure out how to park in The Elbow Room’s one-way, steep uphill parking lot—instead, use the street parking or just rideshare there. Inside, the usual Buckhead glitz is glaringly absent from the bright red booths and tacky copper tiling on the walls. But the kitchen is open until 2am, the food is stellar, and the quirks are endearing, so we kind of love it here. Their menu is extensive, but the pizza and stromboli stuffed with four different meats are crowd favorites. When we swerve on the red sauce foods, we order bar bites like the foot-long hot dog and add such toppings as a fried egg or fried onion straws." - juli horsford, nina reeder

The 13 Best Hot Dogs In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"The usual Buckhead glitz is glaringly absent from The Elbow Room’s bright red booths and tacky copper tiling on the walls. But the kitchen is open until 3am, the food is stellar, and the quirks are endearing, so we kind of love it here. Their general pub and pizzeria menu is extensive, but the surprise hit is the all-beef foot-long hot dog. Cover in any of the near-20 topping options—we're fans of the fried egg and fried onion straws. Or hell, go for more. You're already eating a foot-long dog anyway, so why bother with the Emily Post modesty now?" - juli horsford, demarco williams

Google
Elbow Room is a great spot to relax with a good drink and tasty food. The atmosphere is comfortable, the service is friendly, and everything came out fresh. The Irish Mule was made really well and ended up being one of the highlights. The “small” onion rings were surprisingly giant and absolutely on point. The potato skins, on the other hand, were just okay — not bad, but nothing special. Overall, it’s a solid place for a casual meal and well-made drinks.

Customer Reviewer

Google
First time here and it was great! Our server was very personable and kind and I looooove the vibe of the place. Sweet potato fries with the blue cheese bbq sauce are insanely delicious. I’ll be back for sure

Google
I really like the feel of this bar. It feels like a great local bar where everyone knows each other and the vibe is real chill. Let's start with the bad. The parking lot has only 9 spaces and one path to enter/exit the premise. There is some street parking but you have to pay for that. The place looks huge. Plenty of seating and TVs at the bar. There is an upstairs and outside patio. I ordered the Stromboli which was huge and cheesy. I also grabbed a beer and cocktail which were good. I like this place.

Trey Robinson

Google
Nice place, the decor is a little dated, but the TVs are great. We went for a Texans game as it is a Texans bar and that was great. The pizza, especially the Stromboli was great. Be aware, the parking is limited.

Google
We had an early lunch Sunday so I could watch a little bit of the Wimbledon’s final. We brought our two year old! The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate my daughter. The food… the food… We were shocked. The burger was amazing? Really surprised us. The Stromboli was equally good. We weren’t expecting anything special, but the food was really good. Get the burger, enjoy the atmosphere and don’t complain about the parking; there is a parking deck next door.

Google
Long time customer here at Elbow Room. Walking in here nothing but smiles and a warm welcome from staff and patrons a like. Bubbly vibe, Christmas feel, with friendly customers jockeying for a position at this ever so popular bar, with great food flare. We decided on a large “Pizza Supreme”. Real nice, baked right, in the later hours of Buckhead. Thanks Elbow Room, for nothing but good times, as an Atlanta destination spot!

Google
This place has always been consistent. Great food, fun and friendly staff, and very clean. I get the Stromboli on and off every few years, and it is always to Joe's high standards. Hope for many more good years!!

Google
I love coming here! Especially at midnight. The pizza is one of the best pies in town. But then again all their food hits pretty good. The staff is funny and interactive. And the people who come are characters. If your looking to do something but still be chill and entertained then try my spot.

Yelp
I just needed to come back to this review and give an update because my last visit TOPPED my first. Y'all.... Do yourself a favor and try the Bianca pizza with prosciutto. When I say I almost fell out of my seat... that pizza had me about to fall out of my seat! It was good the first time but HONEY I had to run back to the review to tell you that the prosciutto takes it to another level. I'll fawn over good pizza any day and this unassuming bar serves it. The wings were still awesome and I'm 90% sure they make a house ranch because it was the most unique ranch I've ever tasted at a BAR (of all places). We also got the pigs in a blanket this time. The blanket is REAL pizza dough, and the pig was the biggest beef pig I've ever had in this type of appetizer. The mustard they served it with provided the perfect balance for the flavor. Whoever is in that kitchen is working with blessed hands because I've never had bar food this impressive in quality. I also want to shout out our server who I think is named Amber. She was incredibly attentive and very pleasant the entire time. This will continue to be my late night spot, for certain.

Yelp
My last attempt. Tonight I met a friend for a quick drink and a slice of pizza. Actually got to sit next to the owner for a few minutes. I was never given water... then Somehow my pizza came out cold and my beer never arrived. There was some issue with tickets getting mixed up. So disappointing. As a leader, less than desirable service. Oh well.

Yelp
Great spot for a casual drink and bite to eat on the weekend. Ambiance is super cool - golden walls, red accents make for a unique atmosphere. There are plenty of TVs to watch the game and a patio to sit outside when the weather's nice. The service is reliable at Elbow Room as well. Overall, hits on all marks!

Yelp
A sports dive bar with a good selection of pizzas, wings, and burgers. The menu includes variety in each category. The food is solid. The feel is comfortable. There's a bar that always seems fully occupied by regulars. The booths and tables are clean and pretty central in this smaller space. There is also a small back room. All booths and TVs that rarely have volume on. In fact, only the biggest game may have sound on but the captions are usually on. The patio also has muted TVs and patio type metal tables and chairs Service is friendly & good anywhere you sit. The servers always seem to be women. Not Hooters style. Just an aside. We enjoy it as an occasional neighbourhood haunt. Enjoy!

Yelp
Absolutely no doubt in my mind the best in town. Hidden gem but not for the locals. The food we had was 10 out of 10. Service was friendly and fast and the ambiance was chill this day. I heard it can get noisy on the weekends. Not a lot of parking and parking is tight ( drive the small car ) This place is so good I would pay for parking just to eat here.

Yelp
Dog friendly patio, good beer and chicken tenders, why am I not here more often?? Parking is a bit of an annoyance but we got lucky and found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. It was a little damp out but we were able to find a dry seat on the patio and brought the pup along. Service was slow but she brought a water bowl for our pup, so we were satisfied. I had dinner plans later in the evening but I was starving and wanted a quick snack beforehand. The beer battered chicken fingers were hot and crispy and really hit the spot. The tots were a nice touch too, versus regular fries. Paired with a cold Scofflaw POG basement beer and I was a happy camper. Next time I'm looking for a casual bite to eat in Buckhead, I'll definitely be hitting up Elbow Room again.

Yelp
Cool spot for late nite eats and dranks. The service is always great and the food's always been a win for me. We usually go for the pizza, but the wings are good as well. Can't miss this staple in the Atlanta bar scene!

Yelp
Great women run bar in buckhead. Its open late and nice for getting after hours food or drinks.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
A great hidden but not really hidden gem for all us locals. The staff is great, food is always amazing and usually a great group of people in and around the bar. Great for all sports.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
This is as much of a dive sports bar as you're going to get near the Shops of Buckhead. Lot's of TV's, solid food and drink options, and kitschy interior. Our waitress was very attentive although I came at a quiet time. Also had to pay for parking as there are limited options in that area.
google avatar

Joshua M.

Yelp
Great experience. Jojo n Dahlia took great care of me!! They were so sweet n informative. The food was good, pretty standard for a bar but the pizza was great. The ambiance was nice! I came earlier in the day but I'm sure at night time it looks nice.
google avatar

Taina J.

Yelp
I'm not much of a sports bar fan, but this place was alright. The staff was really nice and truly knew how to make you feel comfortable. I ordered the nachos with chicken which were ok. It certainly lacked the amount of cheese you would expect from nachos, but it tasted fresh. There is very limited parking in the back of the building, but I thankfully managed to squeeze into the last one. I'm not entirely sure if this is a place I'd return to, but it's worth a shot if you're in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been a regular on and off since 2002. I have nothing but praise and respect for the staff and the owner. Joe is an awesome guy. The food , the drinks, the ambience is great. Great drafts; love the Guinness, drinks, burgers, wings, Stromboli, and pizza to die for ! I still make my quarterly trip ITP to get a taste of the best Buckhead has to offer !
google avatar

Yelp
Good place for pizza and bar food by Buckhead Village. It's probably the only place you can have a sit down lunch in that are for less than $20 - which is nice when you don't need or want all the Buckhead vibe and cost. Has more of a bar (lot if TVs, regulars sitting at the bar, and full assortment of drink options)than restaurant feel - but reliable good food and friendly service. Nice to have this in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Marni G.

Yelp
The service was actually horrible. I came here on a Saturday night to watch the alabama game and there was like two other people sitting outside so it was pretty empty. The server for my group had an attitude about everything and it seemed like she hated her job. I don't think she smiled once during the whole time we were sitting down. I also asked her to put on the alabama game and she just said yep and then didn't put it on. The food on the other hand was fine it's like mid for a sports bar.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice clean and happening! We ordered cheeseburgers. Service was quick. Nicole and I had a beer too. We were in town for the French Festival which was a couple of blocks away. That was fun. The restaurant has inside and outdoor seating. The burgers and fries were no joke and good, but perhaps that I was just especially hungry.
google avatar

Leesa W.

Yelp
Our first stop was closing so they recommended the elbow room Yay! I'm so glad they were closing. The pizza here is awesome- great service- fast even for later at night. Puppy friendly patio :)
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
I have always wondered about the elbow room and finally got a chance to try it. I had a burger and fries that I shared and a salad. It was really good. We sat outside, inside the tvs were on, which is not really my thing but everyone looked like they were having fun. I had a Monday night ipa beer which was good but not my favorite Monday night beer. If you are looking for a burger (or pizza-didn't try it) this is a good kind of whole in the wall joint in Buckhead.
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
Would leave 100 stars. had a rough start to the night here but Haze made everything 100 times better. Come to elbow if you love a stiff drink, even better service and incredible vibes.

Jonny R.

Yelp
Just flew in from Chicago and heard that elbow had great pizza. I met a lovely lady named Jessica she was outstanding I wanted for not. Always quick to bring another drink or refill my water. A+++. I'm showing my family this place next time I'm in town I'll already ask for Jess The Best!

Yelp
The food, especially the pizza is worth going ANYTIME of the day OR nite! Quick, friendly greeting & service with relaxing sports flatscreens or whatever else takes one out of the ATL day-2-day: Bravo & BRAVA-2-the Staff & Mngmnt‼
google avatar

Ed S.

Yelp
Wonderful dive sports bar with tremendous food as well. I highly recommend. The bartenders are very welcoming and nice as well.

Blair B.

Yelp
do not recommend. waited 45 minutes for check on a slow night because waitress was bouncing from table to table sitting in customers laps. food wasn't good either.

Casey L.

Yelp
Haze is the best server and we love her so much!! She really cares about her people and is passionate about giving good service !

Yelp
I visited Elbow Room for the first time for a first date! It will definitely be my last date with that man, but not my last visit at Elbow Room. I will admit that this bar certainly attracts a male audience, so it's not the best to be the only woman in the room. But that can be overlooked because of how good the food & service are. My date split the bill with me... mind you we are both in our forties and honestly I don't even know if my date had a job which is probably why we split the bill. After my divorce I just can't find a decent guy to go on a date with. I don't know what's happening with the dating scene but this is not how I remember being courted before I married at 19. Anyway I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and it was seriously impeccable. Those fries were SO salty just a heart attack waiting to happen but they were so crisp and crunchy, and my mouth is watering while writing this review because so good. My date ordered the tater tots and he must not have liked them because his grimy slimy fingers kept making their way to my plate -- which is actually just a basket not a plate. The conversation with him was horrible. He kept speaking over me so I went to the ladies' room just to get a break from him. That's when I met one of the bartenders and she was honestly the sweetest most beautiful woman I've ever spoken to. I don't know her name but she had beautiful eyelashes. Anyway this place was great. When I have better company I will surely enjoy my visit even more. Highly recommend.
google avatar

V T.

Yelp
The Elbow is one of ATL's few remaining old school bars that sports great food. It's a locals place that I goto when possible.
google avatar

Fred B.

Yelp
Only stopped in on a walk with the dog. Had some House Margaritas and some PBRs that were on happy hour. Snacked on an order of wings. Good wings. Naked no breading. Cajun had good flavor but the super hot weren't that hot (must be my time in Arizona). Service was fantastic and will be back for another happy soon.

Mohamed A.

Yelp
I was introduced to the awfully red interior and the post Soviet unions style decor with the game ubsensly playing in the background with the unfortunate refusal of playing the jukebox tried the Stromboli a little oily for my taste and served on not so thought of platter throw on without and consideration the the apperanace for the customer along with no napkins nor condiments Overall it taste like a diner quality pizza in a roll and seemed a little over cooked a lil Burnt for my taste it does come with a side of sauce overall not bad would recommend
google avatar

Bruno S.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Buckhead...not Twin Peaks, franchise-laden, corporate Buckhead. This is a friendly, laid back place that has a great draft beer selection and very good food. A nice place to start the night or wrap up a long day of work. Great happy hour from 5 to 7pm! Stop in and say Hi to Karen - one of the best bartenders I've ever met.
google avatar

Dionne T.

Yelp
I wish I could have stopped eating and taken a picture. I got the simplest order, two slices (one with onions) and a Greek salad. It's bar food, but it's unpretentious good bar food. The way the slices disappeared, I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited on a Wednesday evening with my sister. Street parking is your best bet as the parking lot behind the building is very limited. There's ample seating. They have patio seating, bar seating, front room seating, and there's even a small area behind the bar with a couple of booths and a pool table. In the front are booths, tables, and community seating. There's also a jukebox. We first sat in the back room but then decided to sit at the community table. There weren't too many people in the restaurant so it was just us two at the table. After looking over the menu we decided on the Elbow Room Nachos and a small veggie pizza. I also ordered a frozen rose margarita. My sister got a margarita with a shot of Martell. Drinks came immediately then the food came out shortly afterwards. Everything looked and smelled delicious. The nachos were lacking some cheese and we let the server know. She said it probably all went to the bottom and offered to get us more to pour on top but what wasn't mentioned was the fact that there was an extra charge. That would have been nice to know. Everything was delicious. Once we added the extra cheese on the nachos we quickly ate them up. Those were some bomb nachos and I would def go back for them. The pizza had a nice crispy crust with plenty of toppings. The frozen rose margarita was good but not strong.

Ja'don C.

Yelp
food was cold! meat was frozen! only one waitress... waitress attitude wasn't it her customer service skills needs improvement!

Meetali B.

Yelp
LOVE this place. The vibes, service, and food amazing. Perfect place to chill and watch football with some good beer
google avatar

Yelp
Got the Moooondays?! Head over to The Elbow Room Bar in Buckhead and get you the Hangover Burger! Ask for Evan and Morgan and you shall feel better after some excellent service and great bartending. Introduce yourselves so that everyone will know your name.
google avatar

Kendrick J.

Yelp
Beers on tap were delicious, as I sat and watched the game I decided to order some wings and let me tell you they were amazing. I got lemon pepper well done all flats and didn't regret it at all. The bar can be a little skimp on seating but that's only because people love this place. My mom used to go here when she was younger and I get to continue the tradition!! Definitely recommend this place
google avatar

Tasha D.

Yelp
Hubby and I spotted in on NYE for the first half of the Michigan/TCU game. It's got a cute little inside seating, including space to seat at the bar and a larger heated patio area. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was decent. Drinks were tasty (I had the mule). I have it 4 stars because the stairs at the entrance are a bit treacherous. Not sure that it is wheel chair accessible and the stairs were kinda scary if you're not in tip top shape. Overall his expedient and would return.

Yelp
I stopped here last Saturday with my friend. We had been out and about earlier in the day and wanted some food. And Elbow Room was right there. We sat outside but it looked like the inside was open. Due to COVID, if I can't sit outside I'm probably not going to go there. Any time I see a big variety menu i get nervous. And this menu was BIG and BUSY. To me it screams they they aren't every good at any one thing. I ordered some wings and asked for extra hot. And they were indeed hot but so so yummy. I was said i didn't eat more of them. I also did fries and mozzarella sticks. Neither of those were special. My friend, she did lemon pepper wings and a slice of pizza. We came to an agreement that the wings are the best. And I'm honestly gonna suggest you stick with those. The service wasn't bad given the situation we're all in right now. I look forward to going back to eat more wings!
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
After reading the other reviews, I was kind of thrown off but actually this place is pretty great. First, the prices are very reasonable for a buckhead location. It's one of those place that you feel comfortable going in anytime to watch a game or to just chill with friends. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food is pretty good especially considering that it's a bar. I will definitely be back to enjoy laid-back nights with friends.
google avatar

Jeff D.

Yelp
Great locals-only dive bar with a lot of soul in the soulless hellscape of Buckhead. Karen, the bartender/manager, is great. Would go back if you ever have the displeasure of finding myself I. Buckhead again. The pizza wasn't great tbh, but I didn't really care.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Hidden Gem! The Pizzia was Delicious. Good Quality ingredients, Great Staff and friendly environment. Definitely will visit the place again when I'm in the ATL area.

Sean M.

Yelp
Great bar with super regulars. Joe and his team of employees are the best. Give them a try at the only real bar in Buckhead
google avatar

Tanya P.

Yelp
I met a friend here for lunch. Who suggested this local dive. The decor is cool and the environment laid back. They had a special for Stromboli with a salad. The portion was huge so I had dinner as well. The waitress was awesome. Good location, good food, and good service. Best Stromboli EVER
google avatar

Trevor A.

Yelp
I was a regular at The Elbow Room, from 2001-2007 when I waited tables, and bartended in the area. I live 40 minutes away; three counties now. I was in the neighborhood for an event, so I decided to stop in. The free parking was a plus!!! The food, the ambiance, and service was still there, just like I remembered. Great food, huge portions, and a great beer, wine, and spirits selection. I had the prime rib melt with au jus and onion rings ! Nicely toasted bread, covering moist, tender, sliced prime rib. The onion rings were perfect!!! Nice crunchy coating, and soft tender onion inside. My friend had me pick for him, since he's never been before. I picked the Stromboli! He took one bite, and he was all smiling. Joe the owner was there while we're dining. I said hi, and introduced myself again. He gave me a big handshake, and sat and talked with us for a bit ! Great guy! Great place. The food, the service, and atmosphere were all great! Our server, I forgot her name; sorry. She was fantastic, friendly, and engaging. I'll be back!! Next time I won't wait another 14 years .

Ashley T.

Yelp
Good food, great customer service, and amazing vibes from other patrons. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar with a large selection of liquor and TVs the best is the KENO. Unfortunately, the food needs a lot of work on doesn't have enough flavor or texture ingredients are not the best would love this place to have better options.
google avatar

Bronson W.

Yelp
This place is awesome. It is very different from the surrounding bars which makes it special. The pizza and wings are good and the beer is cheap. The patio area is the perfect spot to watch a game and drink a picher with your buddies. Just a heads up, they allow smoking so if you're unable to tolerate it or can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke, here is your warning
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
Great little dive with surprisingly good food and friendly service. My husband and I were visiting and needed a quick snack but didn't want to spoil dinner. After splitting a quesadilla that was better than an average bar quesadilla, we were bummed we couldn't try more of the menu!
