"El Bulli 1846, a museum that was 'designed to be the ideal ecosystem for creativity,' as he told Eater in 2017, is now being turned into an Airbnb for one night only as per a partnership with Airbnb. The museum, which is located in the tiny Spanish town of Roses, encourages visitors to 'reflect on the themes of gastronomy and innovation.'" - Amy McCarthy

The spirit of El Bulli lives on thanks to this unique place and amazing staff. Every detail is well designed and thought through that pays great tribute to the historical relevance of what this restaurant represents in the world of culture. El Bulli has now its own universe.

One of the best museums I have ever visited. Trully an eye-opening experience. It much more than the story of one of the best restaurants in history, it’s about wanting to understand the art of cooking in it most basic origins, it’s about questioning how and why we do what we, as humans, do. Overall, it’s about searching the limits, innovating, designing, understanding, sharing knowledge and of course, cooking.😉 Really recommend visiting the museum, reflecting on what they are trying to share with the public and get to know elBullifoundation.

An amazing destination to go to if you are a fan of nouvelle cuisine. I was so lucky to visit El Bulli with my teacher who was a former pastry chef of El Bulli from 1986-1988.

The amount of work done before opening the museum is just unbelievable. Every single detail of the history of El Bulli and Ferran Adria was preserved. I was super inspired after the visit. However, for me 3 hours was not enough in order to read and see every single detail, so I will be back soon for sure. Amazing museum!

Ok, so I’m not a foodie but ended up here. It’s actually pretty funny as a computer programmer seeing someone trying to use a bunch of flowcharts and decomposition diagrams to do a recipe. First don’t pay for the parking , you can park for free at the beach. The entrance fee is not cheap either for what it is. Having said that the place is actually really interesting, clearly the pioneer of deconstructed deserts and foam based dishes. To me the best part is the beach next door, that was beautiful. So I’d recommend a visit combined with a day at the beach, that will be a wonderful day.

I absolutely loved this place, without a doubt my favorite museum ever! 2 critiques though: 1: The video at the end, The staff kept acting like there was going to be some big special surprise at the end of the tour and you are led into this weird dome building with a bunch of screens in it. But the only thing playing inside is a short video of an interview with the chef that doesn’t even scratch the surface of what was talked about in the other sections of the museum, very big let down. 2: For the love of god, give us something edible!! There are so many opportunities to do so at different exhibits but it just never happens, very disappointing. Even in the whole room dedicated to coffee and the story of how they made “solid coffee” through an experimental technique, they just give you regular espresso??? I thought that maybe at the end in the “big suprise” room that we would get to eat, but no, there’s nothing.
