"Laurent Tourondel’s burger restaurant on Sag Harbor’s Main Street morphed into a cantina this season with dishes like lobster and corn tucked into homemade soft tortillas with chiles, smoked pork, and pineapple-jicama pico. Bowls with a base of either cumin green rice or cauliflower rice can be topped with carne asada, chicken asada or glazed pork belly, among other options." - Beth Landman

"Gone is Laurent Tourondel’s American burger joint, and in its place a Mexican restaurant selling lobster tacos with corn with pineapple pico de gallo; impossible chorizo; and glazed pork belly with avocado and pickled onion. Bowls include the Mexican Cowboy with beans, carne asada, tomato and cabbage; or the Puebla, with pork al pastor and plantain. Leave room for churros with spicy chocolate, and wash it all down with smoked lime chili margaritas." - Beth Landman

"Keep LT Burger in your back pocket for the time you’re craving a burger, but don’t want to cook one on your own. Come with the whole family and sit in a big booth, or just sit at the bar with a beer. The milkshakes are good, too. photo credit: David A. Lee" - Team Infatuation

Food was good but had a few problems with the menu. It was advertised as items came with cheese and then was charged 3$ for cheese on a burger. It also said it was 2$ for bacon and was also charged 3$ for it. Also there were no free refills on a fountain soda, makes no sense. None of this was a big deal it should just be mentioned before we order or mentioned on the menu! I recommend the bleu cheese burger and the gouda fries as well!

manager was very rude and the service staff was inexperienced. 3 twenty-year-olds went in and ordered chicken tenders however they treat us like children. The 80-year-old couple next to us, got a larger drink order than us, despite ordering the same thing. we received more toys than food in our kitty to go box placed on a plate. and more oranges than fries. do not order from here and do not talk to the manager. it was not made clear that we were being served as children beforehand despite paying $75 for three chicken, tender boxes of toys. overpriced, rude, and areogant. when we questions the manager about this, since there was no warning that we were being served as children he said “but there are toys so enjoy” no apologizing or making his customer feel welcomed! The waiter also was watching us tip him to pressure more for him. they should have put a better first experience for all their customers since they are new and I will not be going back

The manager was immature and treated us like children when we said that we didn’t know that the chicken tender meal was a cardboard box with 80% toys and 20% food. We were also served plastic cup sodas, the size of a golf ball. Not to mention, we were served more clementines than chicken, even though we did not ask for any fruits on our table. Go here at your own risk if you want to be treated like a three-year-old. Overall, it was a horrible experience and it should not have been opened a second time.

This new iteration of LT Burger is now doing smash burgers. They're very good and prices are reasonable. Service was very quick at 8pm on a Saturday.

Fun and outstanding eatery on Main Street. All of our dishes were tasty, fresh and delicious. We ordered two plates of the chicken quesadillas and they were delightful. The flour tortillas were perfectly prepared and the chicken was juicy and tangy. The shrimp tacos as well as the chipotle cauliflower tacos were equally fresh and delicious. Our server Sallyleonie was exceptionally kind and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Most importantly, El Tacobar is super family friendly!

I miss LT burger. The waiter tried to scam us multiple times. First off, before he even gave us the chance to glance at the menu, he asked if we needed more time and if we wanted some chips and guac while we were deciding. We said sure because we thought maybe it was free like table bread. Then we looked at the menu and the chips and guac (and salsa which he did not mention) was $22 and gigantic-enough for two entire meals. We ended up returning it because that was ridiculous. Next, when our food arrived, the tacos were actually the tiniest I've ever seen. They were finger foods (at most) for $7 each! Finally, when we paid, the waiter dramatically looked away when the tip screen showed up, and it read "25% 22% 20%." Typically, the smallest percentage is on the left so most automatically click left, but I read it and when I saw I was about to pay over $10 extra for this service for 2 people, I almost decided to put in a custom amount. In the end, I paid 20% but I don't know if I'll come back here :( Very unfortunate because LT burger used to be our favorite restaurant in town. The food here is okay, not super flavorful (especially for a Mexican restaurant.) Definitely overpriced. The vibes were great though because it's the same exact layout as the previous restaurant.

The food here is killer. Burgers, shakes, sides all great. Chicken sandwich with smoked Gouda was awesome! 7/11/22 just had another great burger at LT. Amazing how consistent the food has been here now 12 years in business

TL;DR: Tiny tacos, big prices, great drinks and vibe. I was tempted to give this place three stars, but the decoration and vibe pushed it to four stars. My companion and I discovered this place while walking around the super scenic Sag Harbor Main Street on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately and provided with paper menus that listed their tacos, bowls, appetizers, and drinks. I wanted to try either their al pastor or pork belly bowl, but our server informed me that they don’t have bowls yet as they’ve only been open a week. Why not cross off the bowls on your disposable, paper menus? After that slight bit of disappointment I settled for the al pastor and pork belly tacos. We ordered a side of chips and guac. Had I immediately noticed their $22 price I probably would’ve ordered something else, but we stuck with it… and that was a good decision. The tacos are closer to a traditional Mexican size and not the beefier tacos most Americans are accustomed to. Upon seeing the tacos my companion said “I see why they make you two order at least two.” We noticed that I’d received a fish taco in place of the al pastor. I tried to flag down our server and a manager(?) came to the table instead and said that he could help with whatever we wanted. I asked the server to read back what I ordered (in case they heard differently) and I did indeed order an al pastor. The manager person said I could keep the fist taco and an al pastor taco was brought to the table a few minutes later. TASTE: The chips and guac were delicious and filling, which was appreciated since the tacos are on the diminutive side. The al pastor taco was dry and underwhelming. Disappointing. Pork belly taco: The star of the show! Tender and flavorful. A must have. Fish taco: It’s your typical fried fish taco. Nice flavor. Lobster taco: Pricey but great. It’s kinda’ gooey and will squirt out the other end if you don’t hold it properly. Lobster meat flavor was delicious. Shrimp taco: It was okay.
