Emerald City Bagels

Bagels are fabulous with loads of schmear, and the drinks hit the spot too! Tons of fun options, super friendly staff, and the vibe totally feels like a classic NYC bagel shop. Since it’s right on the Beltline, it gets busy—but the flow’s solid, so you can grab your goodies and bounce pretty quick.

I’ve been to two Emerald City Bagels locations and loved both! Their bagels are so filling, and the branding is so cute. Love their multiple vegan-friendly topping/schmear options as well! Totally recommend going for the experience.

We went at a terrible time it was very crowded and overwhelming, and something that should have been maybe a ten minute stop turned into a 45-minute one. But the coffee, seltzer and bagels were really good. I got a vietnamese cold brew and a pastrami on rosemary salted. There could have been more mustard and onions on the sandwich, but it was good. The house made seltzer was very flavorful and the other bagel disappeared in minutes.

This is one of the many very aesthetic but not very good places in Atlanta. The atmosphere is very cool and trendy but this was one of the worst bagels I’ve ever had especially for the price. I got a sesame seed bagel with bacon egg and cheese. The bagel was hard and there was something sour in it not sure if it was the cheese? It was not enjoyable and 2 bacon egg and cheese cost about $25. TLDR: Kroger has better bagels lol save your money.

Absolutely rip off. Give you almost no cream cheese and charge $6 when the bagel itself is only $2.50. Can’t wait for PopUp Bagels to open.

Disgusting bagel, burned to a crisp. Totally inedible. I also ordered an untoasted bagel. It was dense and unappealing, sort of tasted like a grocery store bagel. Edible, but certainly not winning any bagel awards.

I’ve given this spot 3 tries in hopes it would get better. Since the opening it’s been packed with people. And everyone looks to be enjoying the bagels. Every time I ask myself what am I missing? Am I just a hater? But no every single time I’ve tried the bagels it truly has not been enjoyable. My first bagel was the Lox bagel with garlic cream cheese (recommended by the cashier). That bagel was so hard to eat and so incredibly salty. The second attempt, a simple bacon egg and cheese. Again the bagel was so hard. I could not finish it. The third attempt, the bagel of the month- Meghan was hard to eat and lacked taste. The only thing that made it eatable was the cream cheese that doesn’t even come with it. I want so badly to like this place because it’s the only bagel/breakfast sandwich spot on the beltline. But it’s truly terrible and not to mention expensive. The bagels taste microwaved and are physically hard to eat to the point it hurts my jaw.

Been a while. Started doing some charity work and stopped by this place. Good walk we have to walk the entire beltline. Overall love seeing the beltline and Atlanta great spot. Saw this place pretty cool. Looks pretty aesthetically cute. Bagel was solid. Creamy and flavorful. Savory. Love some cream in my bagel. Overpriced tho. Spent way too much ): I’m sad. But great bagel if you have some cash to spent. Got regular coffee. I’m not a big coffee person but I’m starting to. Let me know what I should order I have no clue what to order I just get coffee. Im a squid. Maybe like a latte or something else. Classic white girl order. Let me know. Overall tho, overpriced but still good. I gave it 6.7 out of 10 so around 3 stars.

This spot has a great location right along the Beltline, super easy to find. We went on a Saturday around 8:30, and it wasn't too busy, which was nice. We ordered two sandwiches, a coffee, and a matcha latte. I was a little shocked when I saw the total, though. For what we got, I think the sandwiches could definitely be priced a bit lower. I usually stick with a bagel and cream cheese, but this time I went for the lox. It was decent, though I prefer it open-faced, and for the price, I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, it was a decent experience. nice spot, just a little pricey for what you get.

I am not apologizing for being an Emerald City Bagel Hater, I'm so sorry!!!! I love the charm of there EAV location but I didn't like those bagels and I still don't like the new Beltline ones. My first problem ultimately goes to the fact that the new Beltline location has the automat for bagels and it wasn't even working!!!!!! And then, I paid $24 for 2 BEC (bacon, egg and cheese) bagels that were small and extremely mid!! like there was too much bacon and not enough egg and then the bagel was thin and not giving what it needed! This didn't surprise me because I remembered that from their original location but still! The one redeeming item I had was the cinnamon sugar bagel with their seasonal Biscoff cream cheese. While delicious, it did not make up for everything else.

Convenient location but limited options! For a bagel lover and a diary eater, this place is probably perfect. There are a range of bagel options and they open early. BUT when I visited there was only ONE vegan cream cheese option. Perhaps there isn't a large market for it OR not requested often, but I wish they had at least ONE flavored, vegan cream cheese option - not just plain.

Emerald City Bagels off the Beltline is the real deal. I went for the blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese, and let me tell you... that combo is a power move. Sweet, fresh, and chewy in all the right ways. The vibe on a Saturday morning is unbeatable. People are out jogging, biking, starting their day, and you're just there with a killer bagel in hand thinking, "Yep, this is how you do mornings." The staff is friendly, quick, and keeps things moving even with the line out the door. No inside seating, but the outdoor tables give you front-row seats to the Beltline buzz. If you're in the suburbs like me, it's worth the drive... these bagels actually live up to the hype.

I've now been to both of the locations. Both are just not good, these are not good bagels. The cream cheese is good, and ratio of cream cheese to bagel is good. The BEC is also good. The part that is bad is the bagel, which is ironic considering it's a bagel place. They're just void of flavor, they're very thin, I could get a better bagel from the grocery store. It's also $5.50 for a relatively small bagel with cream cheese.

Cute grab and go breakfast on the beltline. My bagel was overall good just my personal preference was that it was a lot of cheese that over powered the smoked salmon. Sat outside to people watch those on the beltline and it was nice as well.

This is a really great bagel spot on the beltline! You walk in to see the freshly baked bagels, and there is a variety of cream cheeses and sandwiches to choose from. Service was a little slow, but there were a lot of orders because it was the weekend. I got a sesame bagel with lox cream cheese, and it was really good! They were really generous with the cream cheese too. I really enjoyed my bagel today and I would come back to try the sandwiches sometime.

Came here after a long run and the bagel was really fresh! Not a traditional NY style fluffy bagel, but was still tasty. Food came quick, but the food was a little too overpriced (guess that's typical for ATL)

We came here for a late breakfast, early lunch. The location is on the beltline and we were drawn in my the bagel ATM that is facing outward. Everything in the glass display looked kind of old, so we ventured inside. The interior is small, but there are a few tables and a fun interactive element on the payphone back by the clean bathrooms. There is some picnic style shared seating outdoors as well. There was only one party ahead of us in line when we were there and we needed the time even after we were up since there are so many good options on the menu. I ended up getting The Eggy Pop, which is egg salad and pickled onion. I chose the sesame seed bagel and it was delicious. The pickled onion was a nice touch and it was a very filling sandwich.

They don't have any indoor seating but do have a table by the wall where you can stand and eat. I got the blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese and it was soooo good. Full of flavor. This 2nd Atlanta location opened in 2024 on the Beltline Trail. This review is based on my first visit to Emerald City Bagels in late January. +. Ambiance is urban, togo only space in the Citizen building between Irwin and Edgewood. Inside is an order counter, room for a line and pickups. Outside are ~ 6 tables on the sidewalk parallel to the Beltline Trail. +. Bagels, smears, bagelwiches and coffees. I tried their everything bagel toasted with garlic & herbs cream cheese and my friend had their poppyseed toasted with butter. I found my bagel too chewy and very dense for NY style. It was tasty especially with a generous portion of cream cheese. Perhaps I'll skip toasting next time. My friend loved their poppy seed bagel with butter. =. Price is high for what it is. ++. Service was cheerful. The line moved fast and our wait was short. =. Parking is limited street and paid lots. I parked on a nearby street and walked. So, their name has nothing to do with Seattle and is derived from the Wizard of Oz. This is a 3.5* rounded up since my buddy loved his bagel.

Over priced and horrible customer service. Almost $30 for 2 bagels. They skimp on the cream cheese but charge a fair amount. The amount of cream cheese is like they did it by accident and then attempted to scrap it off and you get what's left. Absolutely not worth the price. Then if you call them out or mention it online they block you instead of trying to resolve the issue. This is why "small businesses" get "beat up " online. Because they have no customer service skills and force you to go public even when you try going directly to them, with hopes of them showing you a different experience because maybe it was an off day. But again for the price they don't have much room for "off days". Not to mention they have a "bagel box" outside to avoid the lines bug when you go even mid morning it's still closed forcing you to go inside and wait or pick something else in the area

Good ambience... Clean establishment... Food was good, I ordered bacon, egg and cheese on cinnamon bagel and it was good.. Only thing is that I asked for strawberry jam on it and it wasn't on there.. I went back and asked about it they charged me $2.50 for some jam... Smh terrible... All good... Overall good experience.. Coffee was good.. I like the setup and vibe.

These bagels are hard as a rock and they do not taste fresh at all. I remember when they first opened and you could really count on the quality-- now I'd rather go to Kroger and eat a bagel at home. It is also pretty pricey for bagels that taste days old. Will not be back.

This place is a staple with a wide range of bagel options and toppings. Couldn't recommend it more. Great service.

My first time at this new location on the Beltline. Same great bagels and retro look. The inside is designed for take out but there are tables outside. I liked The Veg a lot, especially the pickled onions and radishes. The cold brew was pretty good, too.

Trendy experience! You can go inside, or if walking a dog, you can order at their window. It was yummy but did take a minute. We didn't mind because we wanted to sit a be slow... but just fyi

This place surprised me. I thought it would be over priced and underwhelming. While yes it is expensive (it's on the beltline) the food was pretty good. I got an egg sandwich with the chicken sausage. I'm not a fan of chicken sausage, but the side of pastrami would've been a 9.5 add-on. The bagel sandwich was really good though and will probably go back.

Good bagels but not great bagels to justify the price. The cream cheese was the highlight.

I loved the bagel I got (The Veg). I would absolutely get it again. I also ordered a coffee but the worker was soooo sweet and recommended the blueberry matcha instead. I'm very picky w my matcha and avoid it if i think it's going to be low quality but this was a 100/10!! I ended up buying another one lol

Every time I ask for a 2 BeC w/ chicken sausage, I never receive a BEC w/ chicken sausage. They charge me EVERY TIME. THIS IS THE 3rd time! And of course theirs no way to contact them.... It's ridiculous, I can't trust them to make me a bagel with everything they charged me for?! $40 for two bagels and you can't get it right??

These bagels are out of this world! I had seen so much hype for this place, so initially I was worried my expectations wouldn't be met, but I was so wrong. Just like most people, I came here to check out the new self serve bagel machine, but I went to order inside instead. This place is so cute, it kind of has like an old diner feel. If you want a popular bagel, you need to get here early, they get cleaned out pretty quickly. I will say the only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fact that there wasn't any seating inside, but I guess it's more of a grab and go spot anyway. Either way I would make the 45 minute drive every time just for these bagels!
