This is the best Italian food I have ever had in Houston, TX. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The tables are impeccably organized with a beautiful outdoor setting. The manager personally checked on each table to ensure guests are satisfied. I ordered the short ribs ravioli, and the flavor was absolutely incredible. Every plate was outstanding.

Enotecca Rossa is our go-to spot when we’re craving Italian food without going too far. It’s a decent drive from Sugar Land, which is perfect because we get that cozy Italian vibe without the long drive. The place has this casual yet warm feel to it. You can also dress nice for the occasion. Service is always on point too. The staff is friendly and we never feel unattended. On our last visit, we split the Ana pizza with arugula on top and the mussels. Both were sooo good and perfect for sharing. We’ll be coming back soon for the happy hour!

Absolutely love this place. Came here once off of a Chat GPT gluten free pizza suggestion and now it lives rent free in my mind. From the carefully curated wine list to the incredibly delicious food to the beautiful design of the interior and the patio - this place feels like a small slice of Italy in Houston. And that’s coming from someone who’s lived in Italy before. I’ve had the gluten free pizza twice and each time it was phenomenal! I will be coming back without a doubt. The gelateria and speakeasy next door were the icing on top 🥂

Parking. I'm never happy when valet parking is the default. I mean, lower Westheimer or other crowded areas, I get it. But on Bissonnet? Oh well.... Today, with a friend to sample from their price fixe. I shared a photo of the menu as I can see the Italian American focus. I I hesitate to order a pizza because I think that my criteria for pizza excellence, well, even though it is thr Candelari family, I decide not to risk it. So our defaults are salad (good), meatballs (good), pasta alla besciamella and chicken parmigiana. Again, Italian American. Lotsa chewy cheese. Entrees were perfectly acceptable. The recipes followed the traditional format and preparation. If these are dishes that you love to order when you dine out, you will be pleased imho. Service. Impeccable. Terrific waitstaff. Hindsight being 20/20, and as a good learning experience for me and my current personal taste, I should’ve ordered something different as it seems that I am moving away from the gloppy sauces typical of Italian American cooking.

Service was nice albeit a little slow but I guess they’re cooking to order , not sure . Visited during HRW & ordered the meatballs (which were delicious) & took home a grilled chicken pasta dish for my bf . Had the G&T , decent . Cute Italian place .. not sure how authentic it is but I may be back to try some more dishes . We’ll see .

The food is really good but the management/staff need some work. My last 2 visits have been disappointing. On one of the visits, I was with a friend and we ordered a bottle of wine and a pizza. The bill seemed high but I failed to check the ticket until a couple of days later. I realized that the waiter had added a couple of appetizers and an extra entree to our ticket increasing our bill by 50%. On my last visit, I brought some out of town guests to the restaurant. I called ahead of time and made a reservation for 6 people. Our guest arrived before we did and were seated outside close to the valet parking almost in the walkway of the restaurant. It was a very cold night and a heater could not be close because of the walk way. I had not requested to be seated outside and at no time when I made the reservation was outdoor seating mentioned. I spoke to the hostess and she said well we just got busy and have no room inside. What good is a reservation if they seat walk ins over reservations? She also said that when you make a reservation on online you have to specify indoor or outdoor. However, I had not made the reservation on online. I made the reservation by phone. I asked to speak to the manager, and again was told they had no space inside. They did move us to a better spot outside with a heater and the food was very good, but I will be very careful if and when I go back.

Amazing service. The service and food was excellent. The team of servers including Mateo O. really made our evening experience memorable. Thank you for the wonderful service. Y’all keep doing what you’re doing. Highly recommend swinging on by if you’re looking for an intimate dinning experience. 10/10. I have had dinner many times over the years. Always good, but now has ascended to my favorite restaurant in Houston! From the minute we stepped out of our car… valet was warm and friendly… check in staff and manager exuded welcome! Food was amazing. Best night out ever was my wife’s response as we had dinner at the bar watching the Longhorns. After dinner the manager took us over to see the secret bar behind the gelato shot. Such a nice man. Six stars if I could.

This was such a wonderful spot for dinner. I am on a quest to find the best Italian spot in Houston and this is a top contender, vying with Giacomo's! We stopped by on a weekend evening for date night. As an appetizer, we shared an item from their daily special - it was a lovely shrimp and garlic bread in champagne beurre blanc. The sauce was so tasty and rich, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection! The garlic bread was so well-paired with the whole dish. Next, we tried the Michele pizza and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We absolutely loved the sausage and ricotta pairing, and the basil made for a fresh, tasty complement. We scarfed it all down pretty quickly and it was the perfect amount for the two of us to share. I liked that they have daily specials including both drinks and entrees, which make for a unique treat any time you stop by! Our server was very attentive and kind, and took trouble to explain the menu items to us to help us make a choice. We really appreciated the service here, the absolutely delicious food and the ambiance! It seems to be a great spot for date night, a treat for the family, or anything in between. It's conveniently located in Bellaire, and while you can valet park, we were easily able to find a spot in the nearby neighborhood and walk over. We will certainly be back!

Met with friends for our only HRW dinner this year. I chose this spot for proximity and the extensive HRW selections. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and runners were nice and efficient. All the food we had was tasty and well executed. Nice pasta texture, light meatballs, crisp veg. It was super busy and basically valet was the only option. Very loud and dark, but fun vibes and great service staff. A great option pretty close to home so I'm sure I'll be back!

Very authentic Italian restaurant with good service and great price points... from high end to middle of the road.... I have drove past the place for years and glad I stoped in... when I want good Italian I'll be back

The food was excellent and well portioned, and the drinks were delicious with a little bit of creativity! Really enjoyed the restaurant looking forward to coming back.

We only visit here because it's so close to where we live. But otherwise, I probably would not come here. They do have a nice patio. The drinks are generously portioned, but expensive. The pasta is the best part - the pasta alla besciamella is terrific and I can't wait to have it again. Perfect amount of sauce and flavor. The bad: We ordered two seafood dishes, and both were bad. The mussels were old, not fresh, and tasted way too fishy. And the fritto misto had this horribly bitter taste to it, and we had to send it back. Not sure if the octopus and squid were, again, not fresh to the point of spoiling, or if it was the batter. The meh: The pizzas were better, but still not great. The crust is soggy and floppy underneath the actual pie, although it's chewy and crisp at the edges. All in all, I'd come here for drinks and pasta when I want to sit on the patio. No seafood at any cost.

This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Partially it is because it is practically in my back yard, but mostly it's because it's an incredible dining experience Tucked away in what is essentially a residential area in West U/near Bellaire, this is a great spot for a date night, happy hour, or family events. There is interior and exterior seating. Patio seating is partially covered and there are heaters if necessary. There is parking in the lots next to Rossa's, and they also have a speedy valet service The exterior is incredibly appealing and inviting. The interior is also well decorated, and is intimately lit. They have a fully stocked bar where they make artisanal cocktails. There is a beautiful pizza oven and espresso machine The service is great. Everyone is professional and friendly. If there's a wait and you don't mind sitting at the bar you will get excellent service there as well. You will also get a glimpse into how they make the cocktails and pizzas The menu offers a variety of Italian delicacies. You can't go wrong with one of their brick oven pizzas to share, but their main dishes and appetizers are all exceptional as well. You will want to choose a either wine from their extensive wine list or one of their signature or classic cocktails as this is the perfect environment to sit back and relax with some libations Some tips: Occasionally Rossa's will close for a day or couple days at a time. I'm not entirely sure why, it's not it's for holidays, but it's worth trying to either make a reservation beforehand or calling ahead to make sure they're open. Be sure to ask about any daily specials. This spot actually makes one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had. They offer delicious desserts in-house, but if you walk outside and around the corner to the cute gelato shop you will notice it's owned by the same owners. And if you are looking to bar hop, you might journey thru the door to the right of the gelato shop that has a neon sign reading "vino," as there is an awesome speak easy in the back (again, same owners) Cheers!!

We had dinner at this restaurant and our experience was mixed, the pasta dish was ok but their $21 pizza was not good at all, they don't know how to make pizza.

You guys know how I feel about Italian food right? I feel like it's just pasta in different shapes and then different sauces but sometimes I do enjoy Italian food, but I want it to be really good and this place at lunch sealed the deal for me. Question the pastas were all handmade or house made or whatever you call it and you could tell the sauces were fresh. The eggplant Parmesan was a little mushy, but I didn't mind it not being crispy and smothered and sauce because it had good flavor and it was well layered eggplant with the dish. The tagliatelle that came with it was tasty. The onion soup was spot on with great flavor. Mussels were super flavorful and the sauce was so good we ate the rest with spoons. The linguine con vongole was amazing. I'm sad the four of us split it because I needed more. The pizza was pretty good. Wouldn't get it again because the other stuff was so good.

Good neighborhood spot. It isn't mind blowing Italian but will get the job done if you want decent pasta. I would say the short rib and olive oil cake were the standouts although I got beef with the fact that it came with 4 ravioli. Like this is supposed to be a main dish. The olive cake was pretty perfect. I actually feel inspired to bake one soon because it was so good.

I had lunch here last week to celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks for 2024. The reservation was easy to make but I wasn't told that they have complimentary valet parking only (tips). When I arrived the restaurant was about 3/4 full which it stayed that way during the majority of my meal. The HRW lunch menu was a two course affair and I started with the Caprese salad and with our waiters recommendation the pasta bolognese for the main. A basket of good bread arrived later with butter. Our first courses arrived a few minutes later. My Caprese salad tasted very good but I must say it was more of a lite version of what I expected. A slice of tomato and a lump of mozzarella with some basil. I would have liked a little larger serving. The main arrived later in a big bowl. The meat sauce had pork, veal and beef in the marinara on top of a bed of tagliatelle. It was an ample sized serving but taste wise it was more of a 3 score than a 4 to me. With marinara, I have my preferences in taste and this one did not necessarily make me want to order it again. It wasn't bad but if I returned I would try something else on the menu. The pasta was good and our table service was decent. I give an overall score of 3 because the food taste was ok but didn't make me think about needing to return soon. My biggest gripe here was the noise. All 4 of us agreed it was way too LOUD in there. Conversation was difficult and I felt I was attending a college football game. They really need to improve the acoustics here. Later after several tables left it improved. I would not like to have a dinner here with it like that. One person in my party said that they had been here before and the noise level was the same then and that's why they hadn't returned. Oh well you live and learn....

Amazing service, cool vibes, great food and cocktails. We enjoyed our food it was hearty and filling. The shrimp, scallops and risotto was divine in particular. The dessert was good but will likely try another option next time.

We went during Houston's Restaurant Month (today) and the good sized eggplant Parm was very delicious! Both of us loved it. The dining room is quite pleasant but too loud! Our server had to be prompted 2X for bread & we felt neglected. But the worst part was their parking. I am handicapped & over 80 so parked in the one handicap space in front, only to find my car trapped by valet parked cars. It was hell maneuvering out of there. I wish we'd done take out!

Our server was great and knew everything about the menu. The ambience is intimate and cozy. They offer gluten free pasta and pizza! He also told us the pasta is hand made. The short rib ravioli was our favorite. I would ask for extra sauce on the side.

Best everything.. Greatest Italian food, wonderful selection, beautiful atmosphere with suitable music in the background. Very clean, plenty of seating and nice service Don't think twice, beyond recommend.

The food here was fantastic! The pasta seemed like there was attention to detail when it was prepared. The flavors were rich and enjoyable. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant had plenty of open seating at lunchtime. The only confusing part of the experience was if there was valet parking, we waited out front in our car for some time prior to parking ourselves in the back.

I went back to this place after many years during restaurant weeks. We had the meatballs and the arancinos. Those were delicious. Unfortunately, I ordered a Bolognese and the pasta was so overcooked I had to send it back, the second time was better. I got the hazelnut chocolate cake for dessert and that one was a winner. Service, atmosphere and wine list were great.

Great spot. I have driven past it a million times. Decided to stop and check it out and I'm glad I did. I have not visited several times and I sit at the bar. The food and service is excellent. I recommend and will be going again. Free valet parking.

I started my meal with the Arancini, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully creamy on the inside. For my main course, I opted for a pizza and a salad. The pizza was well-cooked with a thin crust that had just the right amount of char, topped with fresh ingredients that burst with flavor. The salad was crisp and refreshing, providing a nice balance to the heavier pizza. The ambiance of the restaurant is intimate, making it an ideal spot for couples. The lighting is dim and the space is small. Note that the tables are super close together so it would be hard for larger groups to fit comfortably. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us a great recommendation on a red wine. Be sure to make reservations as this place fills up quickly, especially during peak dining hours. This was my second time dining here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it once again. Next time I return, I plan to check out the gelato shop and speakeasy connected next door, which I've heard great things about!

Really great food, excellent service, and romantic atmosphere. I had the diovola pizza (hope I spelled that right) and the sangria. Both were amazing! I definitely want to come back to try their pasta dishes as well.

So, I'll start with the better things about this place. The ambiance is very nice and cozy and romantic yet casual setting. The hostesses were super nice and welcoming. The food presentation was fancy, but I wish I could rave about the flavor. My friend had ordered the Lamb pasta special of the day and her dish was extremely delicious, but my plate which was the Frutti de mar - was quite bland. The seafood on my plate was quite overcooked. It just lacked the bold flavors and fresh seafood I had hoped to taste. The Basil Pina Colada was delicious, it just needed a bit more Malibu Rum, and the dessert I ordered which was the tiramisu was OK. It too was quite bland. Not sure if they use Decaf or what, but it didn't have the bold taste of café it usually has at other places. Overall, I would go back and perhaps try a different dish.

Houston Restaurant Week review incoming... First let me say this was maybe the best VALUE we've ever had for a HRW experience. Small but with great ambiance, there are a ridiculous number of servers, expediters and runners on the floor. You will NEVER lack for anything no matter how busy or full they get. It's very Italian in feel & presentation, although the food is far more Americanized. There's a good wine list & interesting cocktails. My old fashioned was way heavy on the bitters but it was remade quickly. My arancini was SPECTACULAR. I'm not sure I've had better in Houston. The Caprese salad was rather mid, but presented beautifully. Both of us had the same pasta- mine with FRESH peas, mushrooms & chicken. His was a side with burst cherry tomatoes alongside a quite delicious chicken parm. It's excellent fresh pasta! His salted caramel gelato was too salty by the middle of the serving but that hazelnut cake will stick in my memory for quite a while!! It wasn't perfect but it was a great introduction to a lovely date night spot.

Food was decent.. funny thing is, the free bread is even better in taste. Service was weird , he was flirty with any and all women. A bit unprofessional. He was rude to us and would look anyone of us in the eye. He seemed annoyed and sus. Ambience is nice but music is loud as if it's a downtown club at 1 am . Great for one time, wouldn't come back. Just make sure you lower your expectations.

8/29/2025 Four of us visited Enoteca Rossa for 'Prix Fixe Restaurant Weeks.' 4 Chicken Parm, 2 Clam Chowders and 2 Caesar salads. The Clam Chowder was very good, the Caesar salads were good but the Chicken Parm's breading was heavy and was more like chicken-fried steak. The service was very good, but this place has the worst Italian food we've ever had. The ambiance was nice; the tables were too close to each other, and It was a squeeze to get seated.

Cute neighborhood gem and nice decor. The food was delicious. The service could've been better. It took approx 25 mins to order appetizers. Luckily we ordered entrees at that time too. It was also very hot in the restaurant. Probably because they left the front door open.

Their food and service is always excellent at this restaurant. The night we went, there was a giant rain storm that came in and they were unable to see anybody outside, so it was very crowded inside, but they worked everybody in and were very accommodating to all the people that had reservations. I appreciated their hard work and good service.

This restaurant is definitely known for the pizza and the ambiance! The service was very great, I ordered the Anna pizza and it was so hot and fresh. The onion soup had a nice heavy flavor as well. I added sausage to the soup, but there was barely any in there so I wouldn't recommend it. For dessert, I ordered the crème brûlé. While it wasn't bad, it didnt taste like a typical crème brûlé so I wouldn't recommend that either.

My friend and I enjoyed this restaurant very much. The pizza and the pasta were both delicious. The service was good. The only drawback is that the restaurant is very loud inside and it's hard to hear yourself think. But that's because so many people go there because of the great food

Today we got completely ripped off, Enoteca Rossa charges $21 for a tiny to go salad....we assumed for the price it would be large enough for both of us. Look at the photo.....what makes this tiny salad $21???? This is egregious. I dont mind paying $21 for a salad that is large and might feed more than a small bird. Hold on to your wallet folks, you'll still be hungry after going here. Check out the photo, yes this was $21 + tip!! I always tip, because it is not the staffs' fault that the restaurant is ripping off its patrons. WE will not be back, too many great places to eat in Houston for a reasonable price.

We were quite happy with our dining experience this evening at Enotecca Rossa. It was the wifey, two LOs and me. Our server was quite knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I will say that it was loud in there not because of music, but all of the conversations that were going on in the restaurant. If you are looking for a quiet secluded romantic dinner, this is not the place. However, if you are looking for solid food and good service, you cannot go wrong with Enotecca Rossa. Our appetizer was the Tuna Crudo. It was pretty good. The mango, avocado and tuna were on point. However, it really could have used some crisps to go with it. On the point about bread, there was not that much given and about three pieces were almost like a thin pita bread with garlic. It was meh. The main courses included Scallops and Shrimp, Pepperoni Pizza, a Red Snapper dish and Chicken Parm. The two who had the Scallops and Shrimp and Red Snapper dish absolutely raved about the dishes. The pizza was ... pizza - nothing special. It is not bad by any means - but, we knew what we were getting when we ordered pizza with red sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. So, it met expectations. Similarly, the Chicken Parm was pretty good - like the pizza, we knew what we were ordering and we got what we expected. This was the first time we ate at the restaurant and we enjoyed our experience there. BTW, we tried two desserts. The chocolate hazelnut cake and the olive oil cake. They both came with a scoop of vanilla gelato. They were good and our LOs wolfed them down. I do think that we will walk over to the gelato place next door (owned by same folks) to see what they have there next time. Overall, this restaurant is deserving of a 4.5 star review, but our waitress bumped it up to a 5.

It was cold and rainy and we wanted a cozy, warm place to eat. We went here as we were craving freshmade pasta and Italian and they did not disappoint. The interior is beautiful and made us feel like we were far from Houston. The bread at the beginning was warm and flavorful, the cheese pizza was decadent with a rich and buttery crust that was chewy, crisp, and soft. The salad special was flavorful with a wonderful orange vinaigrette. And the eggplant Parm was as they described, delicious with fresh pasta on the side. The chocolate hazelnut cake was rich and gooey and a nice finish. Our server knew the menu well and was friendly and attentive.

Left the speakeasy due to dress code miscommunication and loved that we chose next door! The drinks were all great and the food was wonderful.

Had a reservation for Valentine's Day. There was a long line out front. I go to check in and they said it would be 45 minutes. We had to stand in the cold. When I checked in they checked us into Open Table as if we were eating dinner. They said they would call and let us know when our table was ready. They never called or communicated via open table. Then this morning after I left a horrible review about the situation they canceled my reservation as though it never happened to keep their ratings good. This is a greedy restaurant that overbooked on Valentine's Day. Add insult to injury they are hiding my bad review. Hence my post here. We went back to Carabbas in Katy. This would have been our first time at Enoteca Rossa. Not impressed at all. Good way to lose business. Sincerely, Kelley Buck

Delightful place to enjoy fresh, delicious Italian meal. The service was excellent, valet parking is available with courteous valet attendants. There is also self parking available in certain areas at certain times. Also, recommend making reservations to ensure seating as it can get busy. The ambiance is semi dressy, but also casual. Can visit for a date or catching up with friends. We ordered appetizer Bruschetta Misti, which was served in three variations. I tired the wild mushroom & burrata and enjoyed it. My two friends enjoyed theirs one was tomato & basil and the other cannellini beans & anchovy. I did have a glass of their red sangria. It was good, nothing notable other than refreshing & was a bit tart. I tried the Pasta alla Besciamella, and it was what sold me on having to return. The chicken was savory & wood fire grilled chicken, the Parmesan sauce wasn't overpowering. Prior to choosing a menu item, I did ask if they could make a Cacio e Pepe and was told they could. Might try that next time. My friend enjoyed the roasted lamb chops di Montalcino & finished his plate with no complaints. Finally finished the night with chef crafted in house cookies & cream gelato. Light & not overly sweet. Didn't feel guilty having it.

This was my first experience after driving past the place for y e a r s. I ordered curbside. The food was affordable, fresh, and good, especially the pizza (yum). I will go again but try to dine in to compare dining experiences.

The place is a beautiful restaurant, the ambiance is perfect for a romantic date night. Service was fast & professional. Food was obviously all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. It was so good to celebrate 26! Definitely recommend.

A great find although it's been around for over a decade. My wife and I just went for a date. Very nice cozy atmosphere, warm welcome. Lockhart took care of us. The food is amazing and great value. Definitely generous portions. If you're looking for a nice date place, here you go.

Food was delicious! Waiter made us feel like he didn't like us. He just wasn't very attentive. The atmosphere is welcoming but voices carried through the restaurant. A bit loud for me. Worth going back for the food.

Really enjoyed my entire experience! The rolisotto balls are excellent as well as many of the pasta dishes. Service was great as well! Super cute small restaurant with tasty food and quality service.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Houston. I go every time I'm in town. The restaurant location and decor is very low-key and inviting, but the service is like fine dining. The waiters and waitresses are attentive & know the menu and specials from memory. They're always kind and accommodating. Their pizza is delicious! The bread is fresh and the sauce and cheese are perfection. My personal favorite is the short rib ravioli. I'm drooling just typing that. It's SUPER rich, so even though it only comes with about 4 ravioli, it is definitely filling. I don't eat seafood, but my boyfriend swears by the frutti di mare. Definitely definitely try this place out. You won't regret it!

I had been here few times and I really love this cozy little place. We had some nice beer and house wine. The little patio is pretty cozy. The food was simple but great! We will love to come back when we crave for some Italian food!

This place looked promising but the food ended up being too cold and salty. We were a party of 4 ....seating was too tight, waited too long after seating to hVe waiter take order. It was for dinner, 2 chicken parm plates, the cheese wasn't even melted all the way...so I can tell it was not freshly made chicken, meat Ravioli w mushroom ssuse was way tooo salty!! Calamari appitzer, too salty. And the wait staff was rushing us to grab the plates ..guess they trying to seat the next guests. Overall very disappointing for a $300 bill dinner. Expand the place and put a bit more effort into cooking the food!! Very disappointing

I've been 3 times now for dinner and all of them have been excellent. It can get crowded and noisy because of all the customers but the food is fantastic. Even with the restaurant always being crowded the service has been good. I love there fish specials and fried artichoke risotto. My husband and kids also love the food so a great option if you want a nice meal with kids.

The ambience of this place is perfect: very intimate - perfect for a date night or an intimate small gathering. The espresso martini was delicious and the lobster ravioli is some of the best I've had. Our server was attentive and responsive. Will definitely be back!

We have gone twice now to this cozy Italian spot. The mood and lighting are great. The restaurant is a little loud, but it's because there are so many people there enjoying the experience. I've tried every appetizer now and so should you. They are amazing. The pasta and pizzas are the best. The lamb dish is excellent. The next door fresh gelato really is the cherry on top. This place brings our family straight back to Italy every time! Definitely get a reservation!

Must visit. Great food, its like you are in Italy. Ask to visit the Gelato store next door, it has a bar in the back.
