Run, don’t walk to this phenomenal place! Don’t let the casual nature of this restaurant fool you; this is gourmet plant-based food where EVERYTHING is made from scratch. We had the chick’n parm special, which was THE BEST Italian meal I’ve ever had, vegan or not. We were just visiting for the day, but I wish I lived nearby. I’d never eat anywhere else! Greeter/server super friendly and knowledgeable too. What a hidden gem!

Went on a whim, and it was great. The store owner is super nice and a conversationalist with his customers. The food was great, and the horchata was even better. I'm still thinking about it. I'm going back to try more of the menu. Food is made fresh, and the price will reflect. Worth it, though.

Food is awesome, couldn’t tell the difference as vegan Ruben to regular Ruben. The Ruben sandwich was so stuffed and juicy, had to be eaten with a fork…yummy. My Non-vegan son, loved the quesadillas and fries! The bowl was very delicious. The food was so filling, couldn’t eat it all. Definitely give it a try.

The food is incredible! I have been a vegetarian my whole life. Came in this afternoon with my son and had a huge lunch. The desserts are great also. Almost forgot - you have to try the horchata. It’s insane.

My husband and I stopped in Oceanside for lunch and were so impressed by the delicious food options & kind employee who took our order. She was so helpful with suggestions. We loved the "chikun" sandwiches & grabbed dessert to go, which was so delicious! Great vegan options & generous portions...you don't want to miss it! We can't wait to dine there again.

Huge portions, great food, fantastic service. Absolutely love this place! The carne asada bowl is sooo good, but the portion is so big that I only ate half. I definitely could've shared it with somebody else! I've brought non-vegans here who ended up loving it too!

Wow! The food is amazing! And the portions are huge! The owner and chef Eric is so welcoming and a bit of a character. But he’ll make sure you get an amazing meal…with enough to take home for your next day’s meal! The place has a funky surfer laid back vibe.

High quality homemade vegan fare. Not cheap $$$ but very good tasting and high quality ingredients. I ordered the fish tacos, because I have a garlic aversion. Most dishes use a substantial amount of garlic. The “fish (the hearts of palm) tacos were huge and very tasty. Very filling. They also had a very nice homemade hibiscus tea with a little bit of lemonade added.

I highly recommend this 100% vegan restaurant in Oceanside! The lasagna was incredible--so rich and flavorful, you'd never guess it was vegan. A must-try! Hidden Gem! LASAGNA BOLOGNESE: Mouth-watering vegan bolognese sauce layered with our sunflower mozzarella and fresh pasta baked to perfection and smothered in there in aerosa. Jughead Burger: Cast Iron seared burger, hand-made pretzel bun, thousand islands, melted cheese tomatoes, pickles, onions, lettuce, Served with russet & sweet potato fries and house-made ketchup. Bam-Bam Burger: Cast Iron-seared burger, hand-made pretzel bun, spicy Bam-Bam sauce, vegan Bleu Cheeze, crispy onion strings, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, Served with russet & sweet potato fries and house made ketchup. Fairly small restaurant with limited seating. Street parking.

Eris is located in Oceanside, Scott the owner is very nice and explained Eris is the Greek avatar of destruction. This is an all vegan restaurant. He is very good with details, as I was looking over the menu he asked if I had any allergies. He suggested the lasagne; if I remember correctly it was one of the jumbo meals and at that moment was too big. He also recommended the "fish" tacos with heart of palm. Everything here he makes from scratch. I decided to sit outside as it was such a lovely day and they have a small patio outback. My three tacos with heart of palm arrived; they had a lovely presentation and I could not wait to make them disappear. As I devoured them, like a lady of course, the flavors were delicious and the textures were appreciated. I will definitely be back when in the area. Next time I have my eyes on the carne asada bowl.

We're returning customers and James has helped us out each time. He's very friendly and down to earth and we enjoy the overall good vibes of this place. The food is delicious and the portions are huge! We always have leftovers to enjoy later. We have sampled several items on the menu and we haven't been disappointed with any of our choices. I love that they keep a bowl of water at the front door for thirsty dogs, too. Will definitely be coming back again.

Loved the huge portion, amazing American style vegan meatloaf and the vibe is so nice in there. Love this intimate spot with casual and delicious vegan food! Scott the owner is super friendly and they had a great low key vinyl set by live dj on Tues nights. So cool.

I'm not a vegan, my friend Dana is. I'm a foodie in pursuit of all foods with a wow factor. We are hard to impress because we both love to cook. This place is the real deal. You don't need to be vegan to say "might be the best meal I've had in weeks". Scott has curated a diverse menu with fresh ingredients and bold and beautiful flavors. The portions are very generous so don't be afraid ladies to split a meal. The chef/owner,Scott, loves what he does and it shows.

This place is a not so hidden vegan gem in Oceanside. The food is amazing and the house made sauces are mouth watering! I went with my boyfriend and we shared 3 dishes because we couldn't choose just one! My favorites were the monster fries and the chikun bakun ranch sandwich. The inside is a little small but they have a large outside eating area. The staff are always friendly and the service was pretty quick for the amount of food we ordered. If you're in Oceanside you gotta check out ERIS, they also have great weekly promos that are sent via text.

I tried the Carne Asada bowl, and it looks like a have another favorite here! The portions are incredible! I always leave full with leftovers to enjoy, which is so unique to a Vegan spot. Per usual, the staff is amazing! The music is always delight, and the vibes are always upbeat. You'll make friends just by being in this positive environment. Eris is also within walking distance to the beach, so you can catch sunset pretty easily. Be sure to follow them on Instagram for their BoGo entree specials, which are visible on their story.

We came here from Coronado after seeing all the great reviews. The owner was extremely accommodating and helped us out a ton as he knew we were in a bit of a rush. The food was absolutely incredible as well as the massive portion sizes. Although we enjoyed everything, our favorite dishes were the Lamb Gyro and the Chicken Parm. Vibe was great! Service was amazing! Overall 10/10!!

A very cute casual spot with a creative menu where you order at the counter and grab an open table indoors or on their outdoor patio. We ordered two items, one of which was the daily special, the Lasagna Bolognese and a Firecracker Sando with upgraded Chipotle fries. The total came out $52, so I'd say this place is more $$$ vs $$. The portions as you can see from the pics are huge. Overall the flavors weren't bold or spicy as I hoped. The service was great, and kept us updated as the special took a bit longer to make.

I have to update my review here after a more recent visit. We gave this restaurant another shot and are glad we did! This time, the owner Scott was there and greeted us, shared recommendations and was very friendly and kind even after hearing we had a bad experience in the past. He explained that he makes everything from scratch. He brought us a small vegetable soup on the house because it was chilly and we opted to sit outside because of our dog. Very thoughtful and the soup was hearty and delicious. I ordered the homemade lavender lemonade which was also very tasty! Highly recommend. We ordered the lasagne, the chorizo burger and the chop chop salad. The lasagna was super good and the soy protein texture was very close to meat, almost scary how real it tasted, haha. The flavors were bold and just like a lasagna should be. The burger was good as well. I enjoyed the lasagne and salad the most though and am looking forward to trying the other options next time. I don't know what happened the first time we came around, maybe the chef had a bad day or maybe I ordered wrong. But we are looking forward to trying to more options from the menu in the future. It's really awesome that everything here is made from scratch, that's not easy to find.

Been wanting to try this place out and it didn't disappoint us. The portions are huge, filling and super nutritious. I think the meat sub was seitan and it was flavorful and super smokey. The owner was nice and said everything was made in house. I love their dedication to vegan food and would definitely come back.

I just wish their menu wasn't 90% fake meat and bread . I also wish they put more plantains on the bowl advertised and also wish the guy who runs the register would use his inside voice . Otherwise they have good horchata Update, I never said I don't like the way that you talk , you just talk so loudly I found it overstimulating which is why I stopped coming in . I'm normally vegan and I wish I could come back this is so close to my house but everything is so processed I'm better off just eating at home . I just posted because I was sad.

The food is 100% vegan. The portions are huge. The menu has lots of variety. The desserts are yummy. After we finished eating, we had lots of leftovers and we bought desserts to go. The marshmallow covered chocolate brownie dessert was amazing.

We used to eat here regularly when we lived here and make it a point to always stop by to get our Eris fix on when we're in town. This used to be a regular stop on my 30 mile bike rides and biking in and out was a Breeze. We're fans of any food Scott creates and love the food and ambiance here. We will continue to follow him to wherever he goes and have been fans of his at various establishments. My go to is the Fysh tacos on gluten free homemade tortillas. The coleslaw on top really makes this dish, and I could eat just that alone!Scott always has some great specials or a recommendation for something new to try, too. The food comes out quickly and there's always a good vibe and great decor. When expansion is being considered, I'm hoping for some version of this to pop up in the Knoxville area. :) Sadly, Scott wasn't in the shop during this visit, but I have no doubt we'll see him again.

If anyone wants a cozy place to pull up to. This place is a real gem. Owner is friendly, kind and very knowledgeable, food is scrumptious and sides are very generous. Also the reading material and Bob Marley playing in the background makes you feel like your on a friends couch vibin out to your favorite beach frequency.

Loved the vibe of this spot. Immediately entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly face who was very welcoming and informative when discussing the menu and deals. I ordered the triple taco combo and I must say that these were thee best vegan tacos I've ever had! I brought mine to the beach and should have had it right after ordering to enjoy it hot and fresh but still good. The tortilla did a pretty good job at holding all of the contents. I will definitely be back! So much of their menu sounded delicious!

We like to support small businesses and found this place off Yelp. Without reading the reviews, our experience is solely based on our experience and unbiased. We came in right when it opened and our first impression was that we were greeted by the owner. We were told to wait about 5mins when it was open--which was fine. The decor of the place was very interesting with a lot of different elements. It was our first time there and the gentleman was helpful in making our decisions and was able to explain the menu to us. He tried to accommodate us, and was helpful in that regard. Although the owner was friendly, his style was a bit quick. He tried to upsell us on their fresh drinks which was a nice effort but we decided to just order the horchata. We decided to get the firecracker sando and some loaded fries. The food came out kind of quick which made me question the freshness of it. We were the first customers at 11am and the food came out a bit cold. The fries didn't seem as fresh nor hot and the sandwich was really messy to eat imo. The sandwich was so big I had a hard time eating it. It was too big for me to open my mouth too wide haha. It was tough and hard to eat. Eating it with a knife and fork would be troublesome. I get the style and gist of the menu but the food was not what I expected to be honest. The slaw was dripping wet and the taking a bite out of it had juice dripping from the sandwich--which was difficult to eat really. The plate had slaw water all over. I also would've hoped to have more flavor. The flavor overall was just okay. We sat at the back patio. The place definitely needs a makeover. The tables were not clean so we sat at the cleanest table but still had dried stuck food still lingering that wasn't wiped. The table covers baking in the sun looks to be in rough shape. Just my suggestion, hopefully that helps. Overall, the food was okay--wasn't what we thought it would be. The photos on the app looked so appetizing. Perhaps we were hungry. The owner did tend to us, served us our food, and asked us if we needed anything else. The decor inside was okay, just the outdoor seating needs some changes.

This was our second time eating here, both times blew us away with how good the food was . The service is also fantastic, we are greeted enthusiastically, (even remembered!) given great recommendations and checked on while we ate. There is a small town artsy vibe inside that I really love. The menu is vast with options, the portions are generous - I only wish I had a larger stomach . I'm certain you'll enjoy whatever you order here, come hungry!

Right when we walked in we were greeted by James and the vibe in this place makes you want to just chill on the couch and stay after you eat to listen to the music and read a book. They have book shelves that include books for kids and a chest board... I love games! Now, about the food... we had the chicken parmigiana, a Rueben, a Philly Cheesesteak and an order of the kids Chikun Nuggies...we all tasted each other's food and everything was so delicious! We stopped here on our way home to Newport from Julian for the day and we will definitely make the trip back down here to try some of the other dishes on the menu! So many choices and one of the best customer service I've ever experienced! Thanks James for making our experience extra special!

Scot is a most gracious host. Best vegan food I've ever had! It's an extremely warm and inviting atmosphere. I'm so grateful we found this special place!

I drop in while in the area and wish I lived closer. I had the three-taco platter, and it was fantastic. The best tacos I have ever eaten, all three varieties. Have now made it a point to visit when traveling that way. The owner and staff are hard-working culinary artists, and it shows. I tried to remove the 4-star update (and Scott's response) by deleting and submitting a new review, but it doesn't work that way, apparently and his response pops back in. We had a small misunderstanding that's been more than satisfactorily rectified. I would give it ten stars if I could. This is your excuse to try vegan and discover what you are missing while on your quest for optimum health. You get to feel good about kindness to animals too. Win/Win.

If you are looking for healthy this is not your place. Spoke with the owner who said he used to try accommodate all food allergies and eating preferences and he stopped as he was making food he didn't want to make. The food is quite flavorful

I love the beach cafe vibe. James was so welcoming and helpful when we were trying to decide what to get. I wish I had the photo of the dish when I first received it. The French fries were amazing and the ketchup is homemade... we finished off the ketchup after the fries were done... the Bam Bam burger was amazing and so large I got to take this half home with me. If you think vegan is boring this place will change your mind. If I could eat vegan like this all the time I would be a full on vegan.

Been twice and will come back again! Variety of delicious options. Recommend the pesto chick'n gyro. Lavender lemonade was also refreshing (albeit pricey). HUGE portions which I appreciate. Cute enclosed outdoor space. Staff was friendly. Love this place.

The food at Eris is literally the best vegan food I've ever had. The owner is from Italy and you can taste the freshness and Love in everything on the menu. We have eaten here many times and we drive about 2 hours to get here...so you know it's really good. The location is boho doesn't look like anything special from the outside but what shines is the truly amazing food. Even my friends that are not vegans loved loved this place. You MUST MUST eat here!!

Best food in CA. Wonderful service, great family friendly atmosphere, and the food is phenomenal. I had the Super Gyro and it was MASSIVE. Best gyro I've ever had. My husband got the tacos and loved them. We both had a delicious lavender lemonade. Can't recommend this place enough!

I've only cried once during a meal due to the food transcending anything I've experienced in this world and Eris brought me to the doorstep of repeating that experience. This food really is THAT good. Come and see for yourself what you've been missing. If excellent customer service and excellent dining are things you don't value, you may not enjoy the experience so consider takeout instead lol. My husband is a social carnivore, and he remarked during the meal that if every meal was like Eris's food then no one would mind eating vegan, ever. The flavors in our meal were absolutely mouth watering. I am already planning my order for when I return.

Best vegan food in Oceanside! Been in Oceanside a little over a year and nothing compares to the food! So many options and amazing desserts to finish the meal with! Also amazing service, everyone is so kind, accommodating, and quick. Scott always makes you feel so comfortable and welcome. The ambience is so aesthetic and comforting! Seating inside and outside and even has live music from time to time. I can't recommend this place enough! 10/10!

We drove in to Carlsbad to escape the wildfires in LA. When we got to our hotel, exhausted, we DoorDashed from Eris. Our driver delivered the wrong order. James stayed after closing to make sure we got our food- what a kind soul. And boy was it worth the wait. The Chikun Bakon Ranch Sando is as delicious as it is massive. The Chop Chop salad has great flavors and the dressing is distributed evenly (but not too heavily) across the kale. I loved the Triple Taco Combo. I went back this afternoon and grabbed an Arnold Palmer with their hibiscus tea and jasmine lemonade. They nailed it.

I was excited about this place because it is all vegan and got good reviews. However, I will not be going back and was nervous to try some other places in the area with similar food because it really wasn't good. I got the Carne Asada Bowl that had seitan carne asada, black beans, brown rice, lettuce, some sauce that was strange, and I think a pico and avocado. It really had no flavor so I tried putting some hot sauce on it, but it was a strange flavored hot sauce so it didn't help either. The lettuce seemed a little old and I couldn't tell any particular flavors in the food so I am assuming they weren't the most quality ingredients. My friend got the Havana bowl and said mine was better... I am not sure how that was possible because I couldn't even eat half of mine (threw much of it away). I had the worst gas all through the next afternoon then I think from the bowl that I had too. Maybe they didn't wrinse their black beans? It should be noted that I eat lots of mexican food and beans and don't have this problem normally. I also got their vegan carrot cake that was alright, but way too sweet for my liking. I am guessing it is their least sweet desert as the others all looked like straight sugar. Mainly the frosting was too much so I just decided not to eat that part. The inside had a bunch of concert posters and fun stuff hanging up so that was a cool vibe, but it also kind of felt a little dirty. Just spend the extra money and go to The Plot.

Stopped in here on my way from Chula Vista back up to Chino Hills. This place did not disappoint. I had the "Thanksgiving chick" sandwich I am a person who loves dressing and cranberry, and the dressing was outstanding. The chick'n was super crispy. Only complaint, I wish you were closer to my house. Anytime I'm headed down south, I will definitely stop in here.

Food was so good! The Gyro is actually HUGE. Definitely something to share. Vegan chicken was delicious. Amazing they make everything from scratch. Ranch was also one of the best I've had. Happy we found this gem!

Best vegan food & service ever. I had the chikun Bakun ranch sando and it was the best vegan sandwich I have ever tasted. Portion sizes were huge- service was top notch with spacious outdoor dining to enjoy food with your pup. Right when I walked in I was welcomed by the owner- I've worked in the food service industry for many years and I always give props when management or the owner is out on the floor working with the crew. You can tell this owner is passionate about his restaurant and making good food- so don't waste an opportunity to try what he's creating. I just moved to the area and will be back often and recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants a tasty plant based meal.

First time there, I'm not vegan. This place is amazing I would recommend to anyone. No impossible/beyond meat here this guy, as he explained, makes EVERYTHING himself. Only thing would make it better is beer but it's also nice to take a break :). Not to be missed.

I LOVE this place!! The food is made from scratch, the portions are huge and worth the price. They reheat perfectly. I have never been to anything better for vegan food. We used to go to The Plot but their food hasn't been consistent, overpriced and smaller. Either way this place is DELISH

Will not be coming again... You got to come here if you're absolutely starving because the portions are HUGE. Not to mention 2 items and 2 drinks that came out to almost $70 with tip. Food was good, but add-ons increasing overall charge was not mentioned. Outdoor seating area was cute and quaint, but the seating and tables were dirty and dusty which did not make for a comfortable dining experience. For the price I'd rather go to The Plot that's a few blocks down for a dish that's also made from scratch, half the price, and double the dining experience. This place has a lot of potential, but unfortunately just did not meet my expectations.

Our favorite place to eat! My family and I have gone 3 times now and it never disappoints. We can't wait to go back and try other dishes. James is a great front man, the owner Scott is very personable, and Kevin throws down in back. This is truly a very unique all vegan experience that you won't find anywhere else in the area. Incredible. Quite possibly the best burger and fries I've ever had. I can hardly believe they were vegan. The Bam-Bam burger was delicious, savory and extremely satisfying. The basic fries were crispy, crunchy and memorable.

This place IS THE BEST!!! I've been coming here since they opened! Watching them grow and evolve lights my heart up! The owner is so fun and full of knowledge! Everything I've tried has been amazing! A few of my favorites are their Havana bowl, Tacos, crab cake burger, fries are fire, desserts are next level, and they make fresh drinks daily! The food can be messy but part of the joy in the experience!!! I highly recommend! Such a special treat.

My wife and I always comment on the restaurants that make it to the top 100 list are always delicious, but what really separates them from the pack is their outstanding customer service. It is tried and true and if you don't believe me, then test out my theory and you'll find it to be overwhelmingly evident. Eris hasn't made it to the Yelp Top 100 yet, but they fit the formula to a tee. Scott, the owner welcomed us in as if we were old friends and helped my wife figure out what we would be having for lunch. We sat down on their inviting patio and relaxed while listening to some music playing in the background. There are also table games you can grab while you're waiting for your food to be prepped. When the food was served, I was actually taken aback with their chickn parm, and their chop chop salad. The salad was colorful and gorgeous to look at, while the chickn parm had wonderful flavor and an intoxicating crunch to it. Splitting those two dishes between my wife and I resulted in plenty of leftovers for me to bring home for dinner that night. We will be going back again soon for the generous hospitality, the general fun quirkiness, the great vibe, and the outstanding menu.

Family owned & operated. You will feel great supporting a family man with great customer service & amazing food! I enjoyed the chopped salad. My friend really enjoyed the sweet potato tacos & fries. The hot chocolate was rich & sweet!! Loved the good vibes here!!
