I've gone to Evergreens several times for lunch during work days a few times, when I've felt like getting a salad for a given day. It gets the job done, but I think it's just okay. I think I much prefer Toss'd, which is much cheaper and better-tasting, in my opinion, but is now too far from my workplace to warrant a frequent trip.

Evergreens, of course, mostly focuses on serving you salad, and you can pick from either a list of pre-set salads, or customize your own. The ingredients they use here are pretty good, and there's a pretty decent variety of options to choose to put on your customized salad. The ingredients work pretty well, though I've found the ingredients at a few other salad places in town (like Toss'd) to taste a little better.

== Value for Price ==
For a salad, and for the amount you get, Evergreens makes you pay quite a lot. I once got a custom salad without any proteins (I wasn't feeling like adding proteins that day), and it cost me $9 before tax (this was circa early 2019). That seems kind of high, considering that places like Toss'd (where I've also preferred the taste) charge only $7 for a similar portion size. Not only that, but if you did want to add proteins, it's another $3, and again, that's higher than rival salad places. So, overall, when I went, I just had this lingering feeling that I notably overpaid for my food. It was still pretty decent food, though, so it's not like there was extremely low value for the price I paid, however. I just feel I would have liked going to other salad places for the taste, and the price here at Evergreens wasn't helping to sway my opinions of it too well.

== Service ==
Overall, the service at Evergreens was pretty decent. They took my order quite well, and making the order on my end was relatively hassle-free. The person taking my order was also very nice enough to recall that Samsung Pay could work with their payment systems, even though they didn't have an up-to-date credit card machine (Samsung Pay is backwards compatible with such machines, since it uses MST). This is quite a surprise to me, since most folks would assume that because Apple Pay didn't work with such legacy systems, Samsung Pay probably wouldn't either. It as only a minor thing, so it doesn't boost the service score here too much, but it was nice that the person behind the counter recognized this.

All in all, Evergreens does a decent job of providing me with my salad fixes, whenever I'm feeling it. It's not the best salad I've had in town, but it still tastes pretty good. I just wish it was cheaper than it currently is, as it's pretty darn pricey right now, especially compared to competitors.
