The Best Beer Places To Impress Out-Of-Towners

"Everyone will find something to do at this 80-acre property on the Upper Westside. Start with a cold one from the 50-barrel Dr. Scofflaw brewery—they brew a sh!tload of popular IPAs, plus great stouts, sours, and adult slushies—and then it’s all retail, entertainment, and restaurants from there. There is also a full bar in The Works’ expansive food hall, which sells everything from Cubans to crab fries. The newest addition to the complex—the futuristic Your Third Spot—is a 26K-square-foot, multilevel dining, gaming, and beer garden combo that makes Dave and Busters look like bingo night at a senior home. Tried DoorDash for the first time and ordered from Farm Grill Asian Fusion. The process was smooth, and my food arrived on time, still warm and well-packaged. I went with the salmon teriyaki bowl and grilled coco corn—both were excellent. The salmon was tender with just the right balance of sweetness and umami, and the coco corn had a delicious charred, coconut-infused flavor that made it stand out. Definitely, it was a great first experience, and I’d order again!

I went here during my lunch break on a Friday and it wasn’t crowded which was nice. I had the shrimp and chicken skewer. The shrimp was amazing.. the chicken was okay. The chicken was cooked well, but needed more flavor. I wasn’t a big fan of the rice, it needed more flavor also but still good. The salad and house made dressing was a 10/10. It was a pretty good meal though overall. I would return.

Pretty good food! I got the fried chicken bowl and the chicken was very juicy, but wasn’t really seasoned. All the flavor came from the sauce on top. It was $18 total for the bowl which felt a little steep, but everything in The Works seems to have gone up in price over the past few years.

We found this place by mistake, but, oh, what a great find. The food not only looked good, it was delicious. This place is in the far back corner of the food complex, so it is easy to miss. Customer Service was fabulous... everyone was so nice and informative. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

This place is awesome. We had the steak and shrimp kabob. Seasoned shrimp and steak tender. The rice I wasn't a fan of, but my husband loved it. We also ordered a shrimp bowl, just great. The salad that's given is sooo good. This is a must stop at the Works!

I ordered the ribeye bowl. The ribeye was terrific except for it was kind of fatty and the bowl did not have even salad to rice mix; here was way too much rice compared to how much salad. The sauces were delicious and the pricing was equal to the portion.

This restaurant is always consistent and offers healthy and delicious food options. They also give great rewards. If you are looking for something delicious but less healthy try the barbecue turkey tater tots! They are addictive and so unique!

This was the first place that caught my attention when I entered the food hall. It caught my eye, but I decided to explore other options first. After making my rounds, I circled back to Farm Grill. I placed an order for the Skewer Entree, selecting a combination of one chicken and one grilled shrimp skewer, which was served with yellow rice and a salad. They provided me with a small device to notify me when my meal was ready. About 10 - 15 went by and the device didn’t vibrate, so I just walked over and they advised that my food was ready.  It looked like it was sitting there, but I was not notified.  I picked it up and  joined the family at an outside table and started to dig in.  All the food was very fresh and delicious.  I really enjoyed everything despite the moderate portion size, high price tag and lag in notification that food was ready.
