Google
Took my family to try Fat Tiger Korean BBQ and loved it! This cute little barbecue cabin would be a great place for a date but I brought my kids and we all loved it. The Sweet potato tempura, bulgogi fries, and boneless chicken was phenomenal! We will be back soon!

Google
A quaint little counter service spot in the middle of rural Tennessee. You wouldn’t think such a great Korean joint would be here, yet fat tiger defies expectations! Their rice is always warm and fluffy, their bulgogi flavorful and juicy. Their fried eggs also are always crispy and cooked to perfection. Definitely one of the must go to places in Dickson.

Google
Fun and unique experience here in Dickson! We sampled multiple things and were not able to get pictures of all! We started with the Fat tiger loaded fries which I thought where the star of the show. We also started with the sweet potato tempura and the other three LOVED this. We then got the Bulgogi and BBQ chicken. The Bulgogi was def the favorite of the two. Hope to return!

Google
This place was INCREDIBLE! My dad and I made the road trip to this place after seeing it on Tennessee Crossroads and after having it highly recommended by several people. The food did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Korean fried chicken was AMAZING. My dad, who very very rarely gives out compliments regarding food, said the food was "very good" which is his version of giving out a Michelin star. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The cashier described the restaurant as sort of a Korean Cracker Barrel, and I feel like the description was pretty accurate. Definitely give this place a try!

Google
This place is 12 minutes from me and I’ve SO been missing out!! It was SOOO GOOD! We will be back im already telling everyone about it. YUM! Loooved the wings that was my fav but it was all so good and huge portions! I accidentally forgot to take pics at first, we had already eaten a lot of the wings but I wanted to share :)

Google
So delicious and flavorful! It's a must try! They will walk you through the menu if you are unfamiliar. We will definitely be back!

Google
My friend and I waited for our food for quite a while. The taste was just okay, nothing special. The kimchi was not delicious.

Google
Have you ever driven an hour to try something you hoped would be as good as when you saw it on Tennessee Crossroads? I was SO delighted with the food. The staff treats you like they really care about your experience and I can't express just how happy I was. I'd leave more stars if I could

Yelp
Everything was great. The people working were awesome and the food excellent. My wife has been wanting to go here for a while and thankfully we finally did. It was better than anything we have had in a good while and we often visit Nashville to try new places. This was better than any place there we have been lately. Cannot recommend enough.

Yelp
Korean bbq in middle Tennessee. We arrived early everyone was super friendly. Appetizers were fantastic. We ordered the short ribs. Eclectic style. Lots of fun.

Yelp
What a great find just outside Nashville! Get there when they open or you may have to wait. The drive out there is beautiful and the food is really good. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Fast and friendly service! This was my first time here and the waitress helped recommend our food! It was delicious but very salty. Would definitely recommend if you are in the neighborhood!

Yelp
This spot is worth the trip outside of the city. We ordered quite a few items to try a little bit of everything and loved it all! The fried chicken was our favorite. There were plenty of tables available to sit at on a Thursday afternoon. Do make sure to check the hours before planning your visit because they are only open Thursday-Saturday

Yelp
Great food right in White bluff, can't wait to go back! Bulgolgi was great and rice is delicious.

Yelp
They have a great beer menu and good food. Because Korean is outside our wheelhouse it all seemed exotic, but the atmosphere was definitely down-home, just like we like it.

Carey J.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and spacious inside with nice music, not loud. Ordered shrimp burger, fries, sweet ice tea. The fries were good. The tea was fresh with good flavor but still warm. Even with my cup full of ice, it took a long time to have a cold drink. The shrimp burger patty was very thick and soft and leaked moisture which completely sogged out the bottom bun. Good quality shrimp, but I would prefer a crisp patty. They could reduce the amount of shrimp and still have a crisp patty that would extend out past the bun. To me, a burger or sandwich should hold together and be tasty and interesting to the last bite. Total bill was $23, too high.

Yelp
Thought I walked into the wrong restaurant initially because the cabin look and wall decor made me think this was a southern restaurant! On a Saturday evening around dinner time, Fat Tiger was super busy. We waited for about 10-15 min to get seated and maybe another 15-20 min for our food, which is super understandable given how packed the place was! We got the fried chicken in the OG Korean flavor. The chicken was super tender and juicy! It also came with a pineapple cole slaw that was a nice light and crunchy complement to the richer chicken. Also got the grilled pork belly, which came with awesome side dishes, rice, and lettuce. Great smokey flavor, worked really well with side dishes and ssamjang sauce. The jjajangmyeong (black bean noodle) was also very flavorful and came with some of the best kimchi we've had in Nashville. Would've like the noodles to be a bit more al dente, but overall great dish. Located in a remote area about 30 min outside of Nashville with hiking nearby. Will be back!

Yelp
Absolutely cannot say enough good things about this place!! We were welcomed and introduced on the menu. The staff were incredibly nice and loved the feel of the place inside. The menu wasn't intimidating, started to drool once my husband and I began to read it. We got the bulgogi fries, fried chicken with all the sauces and the pork belly. 10/10 this place did not disappoint! Every bit of it was delicious. The sauces are incredible, the rice was perfect down to the side of salad that came with the pork belly plate. The fries were crispy with every bite of bulgogi that just melts in your mouth. Portion sizes are great. They carry some local brews that we love. The bathroom is rad AND they have the best toilet paper of any place we've ever eaten at. The whole place and the people are a gem. We live about 50min from this place and all we could talk about going home was how great it was. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've been this excited about food. Worth the drive and worth the money. This is going to be a staple and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Not the typical place you'd expect to find in small town TN. Worth the drive to experience a unique, fresh, well cooked menu. The short rib special was fall off the bone, and the sweet Potato appetizer was as great. If you save room for dessert the cookies are homemade and delicious! Great ambience.. even better staff and owners! If you're looking for a fun, different dining experience don't hesitate to try Fat Tiger.

Yelp
It was delish!! I was a little sad that you could not grill at your table, but the flavor made up for it!! My whole family drove over an hour to eat here and loved it. My daughter wants everyone to know she loved it!!

Yelp
Visited Fat Tiger Korean BBQ in White Bluff, TN. This place serves up authentic Korean cuisine with incredible flavors. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the design of each dish and sauce so they complement each other while filling you up! The owners David & Starrlite are so welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. Our servers Morgan and Jody took our orders, answered questions, made recommendations, and took great care of us. For an appetizer...the Boneless Korean Fried Chicken with the Soy-Garlic-Honey glaze on the fried chicken is amazing...this could be a meal all on its own with some sticky rice. The Bulgogi dish was simple yet so good with thinly sliced beef that was fork tender and flavorful. LOVE the sticky rice here, and if you drizzle a bit of their Fat Tiger Aioli sauce on it, puts this rice over the top! The Bibimbap is huge and the flavors of the pickled/cold items and the warm rice and meats is a delightful mix of flavors and sensations. I even tossed in some of the Korean Fried Chicken...next time I order this dish I will order a side of the fried chicken to add to it. For dessert tried the Deep fried Nutella rolls...tempura fried rolls with Nutella and powdered sugar...they are delicious. Also took an order of the Galbi-jjim (braised short ribs) to go, I wish I had taken two servings. You can literally slide the bone out of the rib with no effort, the meat is that tender. The flavors of the meat, sauce, veggies, and rice reminds you of an old school New England Pot Roast with a slight kick. I'm sure this dish takes a lot of work to create...but in the end the outcome is delicious. Great food, friendly service, in a warm and inviting location makes the drive for such great food well worth it!

Yelp
This highly acclaimed BBQ did not disappoint! The service was drive was lovely. We'll add this to must do's in Nashville.

Yelp
I had to update my review because this time I didn't forget to take pics and I dined inside this time. Our sweet potato tempura came out hot, crispy, and delicious. That sauce that's drizzled on top is so good! Talk about umami, yum. My husband's hangover soup had me drooling. Thank God he doesn't mind sharing. He always lets me taste and I make him wait while I take a picture. My kimchi chigae(sp) I wish I could say it was good, but I wouldn't recommend that and I wished I'd ordered the spicy pork bulgogi instead. I don't like my rice getting soggy or even having it served that way. It was way too sweet. And I had to search for meat. The chairs and tables are cramped and you can hear everything your neighbors are saying. My chair was so low my chin was close to the table. I didn't mind and it was funny. You order first and get your own drink. And food is served on styrofoam. The same two ladies were working and they were friendly and helpful both times. It was still good enough that I'll be back to pick up my takeout pork bulgogi.

Yelp
According to my husband, this is the closest to authentic Korean we will get close to us. Every bite was enjoyed! See photos for details. Very excellent Korean. Wish it was closer to us, because we'd visit frequently!

Yelp
Authentic, delicious and super friendly! This has become our go to for authentic Korean cuisine. Firstly, it's convenient for us, we like that we can drive down country roads to the restaurant. Second, they are helpful in ordering. The recipes are passed down from the owners grandmother. It's an interesting style of decorating. Country meets Asian . It's clean and pleasant to be there. The tables are clean, the floors are clean, the beverage dispenser is clean. It feels good to eat out and enjoy the space. My husband and I shared our plates. The chicken had so much flavor, we chose the peanut dipping sauce which was perfect in flavor. The pineapple coleslaw is the right side to have. Next time I'm ordering an extra side of that. We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Yelp
The food is amazing and bountiful! The service is outstanding! The ambiance gives off a groovy and hip vibe!

Trudi M.

Yelp
This is our new favorite restaurant! We have eaten in and carried out twice in the last two weeks. The boneless Korean Fried Chicken with sauces is so tender and tasty - we ordered it both times! The Curry Tonkatsu, Bibimbap, Clam Chowder and Spicy Chicken were all fabulous! We'll try the Bulgogi and Loaded Fries next visit! We tried Fat Tiger after seeing the article in Southern Living Magazine. Note that they are only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Mayme M.

Yelp
Bulgogi loaded fries was yummy. Fried chicken with sauces was very tasty. My husband had chicken with the rice and sides. He wasn't crazy about the Korean style hash browns but otherwise very pleased. The staff were great. Very pleased and would definitely return when in the area.
google avatar

Karri S.

Yelp
The Korean food here is good and has a fun modern Korean fusion section which involves cheese and fries (all the hype in Korea now!) Its way off the beaten path but worth the drive since you can't get this mix of food anywhere else. I couldn't give it 5 stars because the banchans were kind of gross (except the Kimchee) and EVERYTHING is served in disposable containers even for dining in. I wish they'd serve in things that won't go to the landfill.

Dorothy J.

Yelp
We drove 30 mins to eat here and we have no regrets! Delicious!! The ambiance is old fashioned and it was dusty! Feel free to get your food to go if you have bad allergies like me. They will not disappoint!

Yelp
We had been meaning to stop here for dinner for awhile. We finally made it and I'm so glad we did! It was delicious and packed with flavor. We had the fat tiger fries as an appetizer. I highly recommend those! 10/10 As my entree, I had the bulgogi. It was also delicious. The owner recommended this for someone who is trying Korean BBQ for the first time. She also brought me some bean sprouts to go with it. I loved the bean sprouts too. The portion size was huge! I'll be having this for dinner tonight again! My husband had the spicy pork. He loves spicy food and he loved this! I also really liked it. It was packed with flavor as well. We both had a craft beer with dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the beer selection! This is the best place to eat in White Bluff and we'll be back for sure. On top of the food being great and the good beer selection, the owners were there and they were super nice! They made sure we liked our food and even brought us special sides to accompany our entrees. I'm so happy this restaurant here!

Casey G.

Yelp
Food was great and portions were quite large. Definitely an unassuming and pleasant surprise. It was worth the extra drive out and we will most likely be back when we can!

Yelp
Absolutely love this hidden gem outside of Nashville. We eat here often and love that the menu changes every two weeks while still having a few staples to enjoy. I have done catering from them several times and everyone raves about the food. Wil continue being a local customer in the restaurant and catering.

Mckenna B.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! The fat tiger loaded fries leave a party in your mouth! Literally drank the sauce out of the tray! You could not have something bad here! We also got the kimchi soup, hangover soup and the homestyle bibimbap! All of it was phenomenal! The service was amazing and the chef that came up with menu was so personal! The ambiance was very cozy and we loved all of the whitey signs around the restaurant! We will definitely be back! The kimchi is also to DIE for! I am eating a cup of it a day later! I will for-sure be recommending this place to other foodies!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing! Fresh and full of flavor. Such a gem to have here and if you are visiting the area you must eat here! Check hours as they're only open three days a week. Favorite item is their bisque. Tastes so fresh!!

Yelp
We drove over an hour to eat here! So glad we did! What a gem in middle TN. Fat Tiger is located right off of the highway so you can't miss it. The quaint, little log cabin exterior makes it very cute and homey. They described their restaurant as a "Korean Cracker Barrel" on one of their recent Instagram posts and I completely agree! It's definitely Korean comfort food at its finest. For our meal we ordered the KFC with the Tiger sauce, the bibimbap with Bulgogi, and the Spicy Pork. The serving sizes are HUGE for their entrees. You get plenty of food and more to take home for the price. Our personal favorites were the Korean Fried Chicken and the Spicy Pork. Both of these dishes were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. We also appreciated that the KFC was dark meat which kept the chicken moist. We loved it so much we ordered extra to take home. The spicy pork was tender and the seasoned well. It wasn't too spicy either. Just a perfect hint. All of the sides were very good and complimented the meal well. My guy especially liked the egg plant bonchan. The bibimbap deserves praise as well. It's a very big serving and comes full of fresh vegetables and topped with a perfectly sunnyside up egg. The bulgogi is good but I just preferred the spicy pork in this case. If you haven't had it, it's a must try and classic Korean BBQ dish. The locals are so lucky to have this place close by. We loved everything here. The customer service was wonderful, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the food spectacular! We can't wait to return to try more items on the list along with some of their beers. They have a very extensive menu of that as well.

Arita H.

Yelp
What a treat, great food, ambience, and service! Enjoy going every time. My Damian's friends always enjoys going.

Yelp
Visiting from California and this place is a must! The food was so good! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
New and exciting dining experience in White Bluff TN off of Historic HYW 70. This is not fast food. The food is all fresh and prepared once ordered and well worth waiting for your plentiful dish and sides you receive. It's casual dining inside and self served drinks. Cups are provided at order area and utensils are at the tables. This husband and wife team have given this area a whole new experience in fresh dining and It's well worth checking them out.

Yelp
Was driving by and decided to stop and was SO glad I did. The bulgogi fries I ordered were amazing but what was even better was the service. Every person working that I interacted with was incredibly kind. They went the extra mile and thought of every detail! I will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly, helpful staff! Went here for a family event and they blew me away with the quality of their offerings.

Adam W.

Yelp
Wow! This place is awesome! Food was delicious. Service was great. And the portions...yes! We had enough for our next meal. You gotta go if you love great food prepared by cool people.

Yelp
Love this place in the Bluff. I get the Bulgogi fries almost every time, but the bulgogi meal is also really awesome

Yelp
Since I moved, I I don't get to White Bluff much any more, and Fat Tiger is only open Thursday through Saturday, so my visits are hit or miss--usually miss. But Fat Tiger NEVER misses. I had a rare opportunity to stop by and get some food to take home, and I'm glad I did. I ordered the pork and kimchi stew, and it's awesome! The flavors are complex and the heat level is pretty good. I think I could have handled a little more heat, but the aroma... the flavors... it's literally some of the best food I've ever eaten, Korean or otherwise. While I was there I chatted with co-owner Starrlite, and she asked if I'd like to sample some of the clam chowder they were making. It's very good, and you can tell that it's made in-house and not canned. I was perusing the menu, and the Spam and potato gumbo stood out to me. Interesting idea, that. I casually mentioned it, and off goes Starrlite to bring me a sample of that, too. Like the clam chowder, this is definitely not a canned product! The flavor of the broth was wonderful. Spam by its very nature is salty, but this gumbo was definitely NOT a salty dish. Y'all need to get over to Fat Tiger on the weekends, and partake of some of this yummy goodness. Authentic Korean food with a few other cuisines to make things interesting. It's a winning combination! (This is a veteran owned and operated establishment, and as a disabled veteran, I suppprt such businesses when possible. So if you're a veteran, be sure to take your VA card with you for a 10% discount! Fat Tiger also discounts first responders as well!) Well done, Fat Tiger! To owners David and Starrlite, thank you for bringing us such wonderful deliciousness!

Yelp
Magical , amazing food . I felt super lucky eating here I had the Korean fried chicken , tempura sweet potatoes and pork belly. . Everything I had was perfect and full of flavor. I want to thank the chef and his team, for putting out such amazing food.
google avatar

Shelly M.

Yelp
Y'all! I'd you missed the quesadilla, RUN the next time it's on the menu! This quesadilla was enough for 3 meals. Fat Tiger never disappoints, check them out!
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
So so good! Delicious beef that deserves a drive out of Nashville! It was busy but we did not have to wait long. I'll keep going back! It would also be great for takeout if you need something last minute!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
This place is so good!!! Everything is so savory and delicious. You can tell the cooks really care about the food. If you want good Korean food, go here!

Margot C.

Yelp
This place is an off the beaten path gem. We got there around 6:30 and the place was packed. It's a small menu but everything sounded amazing. We ordered the wings with OG Korean sauce, and the black bean bulgogi bowl. Getting a table was a little tough, but the team helped us out! The wings were great, but the black bean bowl was beyond amazing. Five stars and we will be back! Check the hours because they are pretty limited
google avatar

Joanne S.

Yelp
Excellent Korean food. Kimchi pork stew was amazing. Appetizer of tempura sweet potato was incredible, as was the Korean pancake with pork and Kimchi . We will definitely return.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
I can't imagine giving a lower score than five stars. The people are nice, the service is FAST, the food is awesome. We ordered two "shareables"and three entrees and all were on the table within ten minutes of sitting down, and this was at 6:30 on a Saturday. The fried chicken (soy garlic sauce for us) was awesome. They had a bulgogi quesadilla - absolutely killer. It's so good I'm tempted to tone down the review so it won't be swamped every time I want to go, but that's not fair to these good folks. You've got to try it.

Robert W.

Yelp
Super friendly staff. Food was delicious and served very quickly! I ordered the Bulgogi and my wife odered the spare ribs. Soooooo good. Both entrees come with kimchi, Korean hash browns and cucumbers which are delicious in their own right. We also ordered a brownie and a Very Berry cake desert. Had to get those to go because we were very full!! What an awesome place and awesome people just minutes from our house!!
google avatar

Emmanuel B.

Yelp
A hidden gem. This family owned and run restaurant delivers quality food with fantastic service and patrons. The boneless bbq chicken, with it's a array of sauces, will give your tastebuds a ride of a lifetime. Pro tip: get the bibimbap and add the bbq chicken - so good!
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
Great food tonight again! It never disappoints. Best customer service by all the staff and owners.
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Was so happy to have this place open so close to me. They're still new and are currently offering a limited menu which changes weekly. Regardless though the menu always has some good choices on it. The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was amazing. Moist and so flavorful. I have also tried the Spicy grilled chicken which was really good, but Fried is where it's at. Just wish they would expand their hours though. Right now they are open for dinner only on Thursday and Friday and lunch and dinner on Saturday.

Yelp
5 stars. Easily the best restaurant we've been to in the last month. Staring off its location is completely unexpected. Which adds to the appeal. The front has a cool and colorful mural that draws your eyes to it. The place looks like an old wooden building that's been there for decades. Once inside its spruced up with a country vibe with antique furniture and appliances that have been made into new things like an old oven that's now the soda machine and condiment stand. The music inside was cool and the decorations were fun and interesting. The staff were very mind and helpful, especially the lady who took our order. The menu isn't overwhelming which is a nice touch and works for then because the foods so good they don't need to have a vast menu. Onto said food. We got the Korean fried chicken in the fat tiger sauce. The chicken was super crispy and tender. They use thigh meat which tastes waaaayyy better than plain old chicken breast. The fat tiger sauce was sweet, spicy, and had a hint of peanut butter. Basically good enough to make you want to eat the plate it comes out to you on. Next was the spicy pork. As a fan of swine, this was some of the best pork I've had. It's thinly sliced and has just enough fat on it to keep it moist and savory. The sauce is spicy but not overly so (my opinion, some folks might think it's really hot. To each their own). It had a hunt of sweetness as well but the spice and pork is the star. Even the rice is perfectly cooked. Not too soggy, not too hard. It was so good we got more fried chicken to take home. From the location, atmosphere, to the staff and the food, Fat Tiger works. So much so that we would drive the hour and 15 minutes JUST to go eat there again. See yall soon.

Yelp
So good and so worth the hour drive. We had the soy garlic boneless friend chicken, bulgogi, and spicy pork. Each was 10/10. Fat tiger aioli is a must. Easily the best food I've had since moving to Tennessee.
