We've were out last Saturday and wanted to eat somewhere familiar but not one of our regular places. The last time we were at Fatpour, it was probably 2018 and we were here for brunch. It wasn't great - but clearly it wasn't terrible because I didn't leave a review then.
Our initial plan was to get take out, but it was raining, so we decided to have a couple drinks and maybe an appetizer and then get entrees to go. So, first of all - if you were born at anytime in the 70's, it's about that time in your life when you start to realize that most cool/hip sports bars are loud af. This place was no exception. Although the playlist was really good, it was pretty loud. We were also sat right next to a shuffleboard table that was being enthusiastically used by (most likely) college freshmen. Thankfully, they got bored after dominating each other in their rousing match and left to annoy someone else.
Lots of beers. A very decent selection of Oktoberfest brews too! Cocktails were also imaginative and strong. The menu was super substantial and very well priced - especially for the area. The production value and presentation of the burger (which we discovered when we got home) was also amazing and very cool - the branding of the logo on the buns was extra fun!
Okay, let's talk about service. I fully believe that you can have mediocre food but make it up with awesome service. Fatpour has just stellar service. Angie was super quick with suggestions and refills of beer and cocktails. I did inform her of our plans when we sat down - I didn't want her to feel screwed when we ordered food to go. She still was SO NICE! Sarah, the MOD, was also really fun when she touched our table. It was just an awesome experience overall. We were going to stay for just one drink and then order to go - but because of Angie and Sarah, we stayed for an app and another round (for me, I had 3 rounds haha). THANK YOU BOTH! We aren't in this neighborhood a lot, but we will def make it a point to come back :)
*also, all COV19 protocols were being followed and I felt very safe*
