Fifolet Review - Wicker Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Cajun and Creole restaurants open and close in Chicago at an alarming rate. We hope Fifolet in Wicker Park doesn’t also succumb to this trend, since their Cajun food is very good. The menu is full of classics, including gumbos and po’boys. Order the Fifolet gumbo, which has alligator, crawfish, and shrimp, and the shrimp and grits - the shrimp has nice spice and the grits are fluffy and creamy. It’s a casual spot, with a large bar in the center of the restaurant, and you should come for drinks or a low-key date night. If you’re lucky, they’ll have live music." - Adrian Kane

Google
Great place to watch sports. Really loud so server was kind to basically sit next to me in the booth when we talked. Food is really good, but it’s also ridiculously large because I had trouble being able to take big enough bites, and obviously had leftovers to take home.

Google
Very cool sport bar - they have bunch of screens and sitting area including big patio! Food menu is long and could be a bit overwhelming, we tried burger and quesadillas which were great, side salad didn’t look too fresh. Overall nice atmosphere and plenty of choices!

I came here around 4pm on a Sunday with my family (3 adults, 1 kid). It was beyond average. The service was not good at all, took 30 minutes from being sat to being asked what we’d like to eat. However the staff were kind enough to move us from outside to inside when the sun became too unbearable in our eyes. This place is a typical pub, average to not so extraordinary beer selection. My aunt, not endorsing this, ordered a bud light and it came in a st. Patrick’s day bottle. For food we got the wings, and they were okay. They have “kid” coded items like chicken tenders and fries, and some veggies. Not a kids menu but close. However the chicken tenders were about $20. This place was pretty empty and remained empty through our time here. Definitely a sports bar vibe.

Google
First time stay in Chicago and this restaurant even though we did not go inside because of the atmosphere, the outside sitting was perfect weather. I had been smelling Italian. They didn’t offer anything other than pizza but they had one dish. Oh my goodness it was awesome. awesome experience, the waitress and waiter whom She was helping to to teach were both awesome if we come back we would definitely be back to this place!!! we were here on a business trip, but it was so relaxing and romantic for me and my Huby of 42 years

Google
Margherita Pizza is amazing. Staff was helpful and very friendly. We are from out of town and found it odd we couldn't be seated at 10:30pm even though they were open and plenty seats available. App says they are open which is why we chose to eat here. We made it work and had to carry out. I probably would have rated higher if we had the whole experience of dining in instead of feeling rushed out

Google
I love happy hour and it loves me back!!! I recently visited here to try their happy hour, which runs Monday through Friday, from 5 PM to 7 PM. It includes half off of their pizzas and $10 pitchers; there is also a beer and shot special for $8! My waitress, Sammie, was such a sweetheart, and so helpful (ask for her)! She recommended that I try the Music City Melter pizza and I LOVED IT. It had Nashville, hot fried chicken, sweet and spicy pickles, white sauce, provolone, and mozzarella cheese, and buttermilk ranch drizzle. The Nashville fried chicken on top was goodbye itself! But coupled with the flavors of the pizza end it was definitely a winner! I totally understood why Sammy said she could eat one by herself! They have other pizza creations like The Notorious P.I.G., The De Niro, and Frito Pie and everyone knows the wings here never disappoint. AND there are now free games!!! I think you should go every day for happy hour and try a different pizza…… JUST SAYING!!!! Enjoy!

Google
Nice place. We had the white pizza with cheese and a sausage and pepperoni with red sauce. Both were delicious. They have Coke products. Tons of beer options. My hubby loves the Green Line beer, and they have it on tap. Lots of TV's . Lots of outdoor seating. The staff was very quick and friendly. I definitely will be back.

I have been here many times and never ordered food. The wings and pizza were awesome definitely solid. The young lady at the bar offered exceptional service as well.

Came here Sat for Taylor Swift and friends Brunch event! So much fun. $10 for 2 tickets and had the best time! Got an amazing brunch food (chicken waffle bites, breakfast sliders, and bowl of fruit) with bottomless mimosas $35 ! Great full bar. Amazing friendly staff from managerial, bar and wait staff, and Dj! Screens with music videos! Free Stations for mimosa pong, hair tinseling, and bracelet making! Plus photo ops. Tons of great TS music and her friends (Selena, Sabrina, Ariana, Postie, Paramore, and so many more!). Thanks for such a fun and cool event! Made some great friends! Yelp
Amazing service, awesome food- I had the best pizza of my life from here yesterday and I had a great time eating it. If you are ever on the fence about ordering pizza from here I hope that this review will sway you in the right direction. I unfortunately didn't get a good picture of the pizza we ate because my friends and I were starving when we dug into it but let me tell you that this PIZZA was the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I ordered the French connection and got a side of their chipotle ranch with it and it was to DIE for. The bartender and waitresses were super nice and their Fat pour ciders were awesome as well. This is a great spot to get drunk, people watch, and bash the best pizza of your life!

Yelp
Great place to watch the Michigan game. Decently priced for this type of bar. Service is pretty quick even during game day which is rare.

Yelp
Fatpour is a terrific bar. We came for the Michigan-Ohio State game and had a blast with fellow fans. Best experience I've had watching a football game in a bar. Fatpour delivered on all accounts: FAN-tastic service, food, drink menu (the Harbomb was the perfect way to celebrate our victory!), and best of all... FUN! Thank you for such an awesome game day!

Yelp
My friend and I went there last week while attending the Division street festival. The bar wasn't too packed which was nice. We ordered a pizza to share and had some drinks. Pizza was quite tasty. We banged that pizza and i totally forgot to take a pic of it when it arrived. The vibe inside was cool and they played great music! Will definitely go there again!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night around 8pm with no reservation and was able to get a table on the patio right away (ps they're dog friendly!). The server came right away with waters and gave us time for our order. We went with the JALA AT YOUR BOY and the Maple Bacon Burger with a side salad/Brussels and sweet potato fries/Brussels. The Jala was tasty but note - the jalapeño is HUGE with the seeds and veryyy spicy. The maple bacon was tasty, cooked well. Not the best burger I've ever eaten but very solid. The sides were on par, both tasty with good flavor. They also brought three dipping sauces for my SPF. I would prob give fatpour a four based on food alone but the server was so attentive and on top of everything that she deserves a five for this experience! I sadly don't recall her name but blonde, mid twenties probably and very kind!

Yelp
Ordered food for takeout. No complaints, everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. One of the better takeout meals I've had lately.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night with problem getting seated (even for a weekend). The restaurant is split into 2 floors which was pretty nice. Service was a bit slow, maybe becuase they were short staffed, but our waitress was very nice and friendly. The food tasted pretty good, but they did take a while to come out. I ordered the chicken and waffle bites, the meatballs, and couldn't take my eyes off the cookie skillet that was on the menu, so I had to order it for my dessert After we were done with dinner, we headed upstairs to drink at the bar. Great vibes and they had a live DJ there too. The music was lit all night which was nice. No complaints. Would definitely come back for more food and drinks with friends!

Yelp
We ended up a little punchier than planned at a nearby establishment and were so grateful for Fatpour. The bartender was super nice and mixed me a great Cosmo. We shared the nachos and loved them. This is everything I want from a sports bar and I highly recommend popping in for a drink and a snack.

Yelp
Probably the best burger ever it's really creative and different. The service was great are server was really nice. I really recommend this place

Yelp
We came with a group of 12 to celebrate a birthday. The staff was helpful in coordinating the reservation. It was a great time hanging out at fat pour on a Sunday and catching the football games on the multiple TVs. I got the fat burger and it is about 3 meals in 1. It's quite the culinary wonder. You have a burger patty sandwiched between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. It was a lot of bread (4 slices). The sandwich was full of good flavor and cooked medium rare just as I ordered. The burger came with 2 side and I opted for sweet potato fries and Brussel sprouts. They were both delicious and I enjoyed them. We spend time hanging out and playing shuffle board, darts, skeeball, and Jenga. There's a lot of cool ways to pass time with your friends here. I'd recommend you check it out!

Yelp
Love going to Fatpour for all the great drink deals and theme nights! Shoutout to Drew at Fatpour - a guy was touching and harassing women at the bar, and Drew and the team at Fatpour immediately came over to remove him and make sure we were okay. Really appreciated the swift action!

Yelp
Jazzlin was an amazing server for our New Years Eve party! She was an amazing server with a great personality and attentiveness during a busy night! The NYE party was a great deal and we had fun!

Yelp
Stopped by after brunch because we were still hungry haha. It was pretty empty even thought I added myself on the Yelp waitlist. We were seated right away at a booth. Two of us ordered soda and 1 had a beer. The soda was absolutely disgusting lol I very much regret getting it. The wings were tasty and so were the pretzels. Music was great. Definitely a cool vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
We went to Fatpour to watch a football game. Nothing special for me, typical bar food. We got the cheese curds which were really good. We also got loaded baked potato pizza -- that was a mistake on our part. We thought it would be great football food, but I just wasn't a big fan. I wish we would've gotten one of the other pizzas instead.
google avatar

Yelp
Sadly, probably some of the worst pizza I've ever had. Completely undercooked and bland. So disappointing. Nothing like what they advertise.
google avatar

Anuj S.

Yelp
Had dinner and drinks here last time. The place is pretty huge and it was hoppin' during the march madness tournament. Overall good times. Service was fine. Draught beer options were great. So many beers to choose from. And they had every single bourbon county option, which was impressive for one of my friends. Food was fine. Kind of bar food type place. There were a couple of vegetarian options. Pizza and what not. It's been a while since I was there now and dont remember exactly what i had. If you're doing drinks with buds, this is a great choice.

Yelp
Becoming one of my favorite spots. Cannot wait to hang out here during the World Cup! I may hate Qatar, but I love Fatpour! Great stuff, drinks, and food. Cool vibes and good music with like a thousand TVs so you can watch all your sports! Quality place from top to bottom.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food amazing beer and great ambiance! Really fun on the weekends!. They truly have the best salads ever

Yelp
We hosted our annual Football Playoff Party here and worked with Mikaela and Chelsey. They did the best job handling our group of 70 with ease. The buffets were delicious and all served on time. We did a 4:30 and 6:00 pm serving. Liz and Allison were our Servers and they got drinks out promptly and with the best demeanors. Everyone had a great time and people come in from all over Illinois for this party. So hats off to Fatpour Wicker Park. This was our fifth year there and we will definitely be back next year. Fatpour is great because it is very spacious but still intimate. Great place to watch a game, eat, or just hang.

Yelp
Food was very delicious. My boyfriend had the Chicken Little, fried with Nashville hot sauce and fries. I had the Jala @ ur Boyger with 2 sides: fries & brussels sprouts. Josh, the bartender, was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Loved spending some of my casual week nights here for a quick bite when I am not wanting to cook. Love the sides that come with the burgers. The variety is

Yelp
We've were out last Saturday and wanted to eat somewhere familiar but not one of our regular places. The last time we were at Fatpour, it was probably 2018 and we were here for brunch. It wasn't great - but clearly it wasn't terrible because I didn't leave a review then. Our initial plan was to get take out, but it was raining, so we decided to have a couple drinks and maybe an appetizer and then get entrees to go. So, first of all - if you were born at anytime in the 70's, it's about that time in your life when you start to realize that most cool/hip sports bars are loud af. This place was no exception. Although the playlist was really good, it was pretty loud. We were also sat right next to a shuffleboard table that was being enthusiastically used by (most likely) college freshmen. Thankfully, they got bored after dominating each other in their rousing match and left to annoy someone else. Lots of beers. A very decent selection of Oktoberfest brews too! Cocktails were also imaginative and strong. The menu was super substantial and very well priced - especially for the area. The production value and presentation of the burger (which we discovered when we got home) was also amazing and very cool - the branding of the logo on the buns was extra fun! Okay, let's talk about service. I fully believe that you can have mediocre food but make it up with awesome service. Fatpour has just stellar service. Angie was super quick with suggestions and refills of beer and cocktails. I did inform her of our plans when we sat down - I didn't want her to feel screwed when we ordered food to go. She still was SO NICE! Sarah, the MOD, was also really fun when she touched our table. It was just an awesome experience overall. We were going to stay for just one drink and then order to go - but because of Angie and Sarah, we stayed for an app and another round (for me, I had 3 rounds haha). THANK YOU BOTH! We aren't in this neighborhood a lot, but we will def make it a point to come back :) *also, all COV19 protocols were being followed and I felt very safe*
google avatar

Ted C.

Yelp
3.5 for sure. My friend and I came here after having a drink up the street. After having had cocktails we were in the mood for beers. My friend ordered the chicken and waffle bites which were great. The waffle batter was thick but still crisp and the chicken was tender. I was the only one actually eating so I got the badger burger, which sounded really good, and burgers come with two sides so I got the brussels in addition to fries, because who wouldn't get fries? The burger was pretty good, the pork belly was bacon, it seemed cured and/or smoked, I didn't really pick up the cheese curds though, I think they were drowned out by the onion strings. Their beer selection is pretty large with a lot of verticals and beers that are on the rare-ish side. It's definitely a step above your regular tap room.
google avatar

Joneice B.

Yelp
Ended Up here after having coffee in wicker park. A few of us gals decided it was time for brunch. This restaurant had a good selection of menu items. However I saw an advertisement in the bathroom for pizza so that is what I got. I was not disappointed in the pizza whatsoever. It was plenty of food and I was able to take home over half of it for my husband. He also enjoyed the pizza. I had a really good cucumber mule at the bar and also enjoyed Virtue cider. This location is right off a division and kind of popping. check it out if you in the area.
google avatar

Salena C.

Yelp
Super cool, casual hangout spot. We sat back and watched the game while enjoying a couple of Frosés and nibbling on a $7 pizza. I felt they were priced perfectly given location and environment. I would have liked to have seen the server tell us about that evening's deal BEFORE our table ordered, but that was really the only tiny flaw. That and the fact that the frose machine makes VERY limited amounts of frose, so make sure you get your drink order in ASAP so you can be one of the lucky ones!! Overall, I like this Fatpour better than the one down by the UIC campus. This one is great for a casual date OR a large party!
google avatar

Tammy W.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon and were able to get a table for 4 right away. They are all decorated for the Olympics and have tons of TVs to watch the action so it's a great spot for that. We had an attentive server who checked on us often. Tons of drinks to choose from and prices are what you would expect in this area of town. My friend ordered nachos for the table. They were okay. Not the worst nachos I've ever had, not the best. I was considering ordering food for myself but given that the nachos were underwhelming and the help reviews were mixed on other food items, I decided not to. Good place to come for drinks and the olympics! And I assume other sports since they have so many TVs.
google avatar

Sueann R.

Yelp
Angie is such a great server and gave the best food recommendations. Will definitely be back. Delicious food plus exceptional service.

Yelp
We are from out of town, decided to check out this place and it did not disappoint. When you walk in, you will notice the loud music, which I personally enjoyed. It was loud but not too loud to where you can't hear one another. The food came out and presentation looked great. We tasted different things and everything was great!

Jamelia R.

Yelp
We told the host/hostess we wanted to watch the Houston game and they were very kind and changed and changed one of the closer tvs to the game. Some of the tvs we're having a picture issue and we asked to be moved. The host/hostess & server was very kind and adjusted. We ordered a Patron Pineapple Margherita made by the bar and a Seattle Dry Cider. Both drinks were not up to par but I take away a star for the mixed drink made by the bar because it tasted like medicine. For food we had the Skillet Cookie and the ends were pretty burned, a delicious cookies in the middle but the ends were less than pleasurable. Finally time to pay our tab. As seen in the picture provided I wasn't given noticed when I walked in nor signs neither our server telling us of a credit card fee. I would've been fine given notice times after the pandemic with inflation I get prices get hefty but the surprise of it is unprofessional. The redeeming quality of this establishment is the people who work here. The Ana gets and staff worked quickly to try and fix the tvs but a good smile and attitude isn't enough to make me return any time soon
google avatar

Gariana R.

Yelp
I ran across this restaurant when visiting Chicago. The drinks were a little over priced but the food was really good. There was a Michigan game that night so we had 1 hour to sit at our table. The wings were very spicy for a normal buffalo the fried also had a little kick. The restaurant do offer a couple different options on the menu. Overall I would give the restaurant another try.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
HUGE a shout out to our server Christian! We came in on a three day weekend of hanging out and needed some legit brunch service! Not only did he keep our drinks constantly filled and attend to our every random need and our ever growing group, he was kind and thoughtful. We convinced him to also join the A&M cheering squad! He made our last event in the city fantastic!
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Arrived as a group of 4 at 8:30 on a Tuesday night, there were other groups seated but we were able to be seated right away. Most of the group ordered drinks and we all ordered food as well: Fatpour burger, classic burger, Jala @ ur Boyger, and the cheddar ale and artichoke dip at 8:35. Food arrived in about 15 min, the fat pour is a bit much, and I'm not sure why they decided to make the Jalepeno an octopus with stem lol. Cooked perfectly by chefs! Just not sure they work. Overall a good spot for a social dinner with friends if nearby
google avatar

Priya K.

Yelp
Stopped in for the Michigan Sweet 16 game. The atmosphere was great! From the tip off, the energy was high. There were no drink or food specials for the game, which was a little surprising and disappointing. The beer was cold and the mixed drinks were solid, but the showstopper was the food! We started with the nachos, which were fantastic. The pickled onions really added a flavor profile. For our mains we got the southern salad made into a wrap (an option for all their salads) and the hulk burger with a chicken patty instead of beef. They didn't up charge for either option. The southern wrap was delicious. The chicken was tender and the rest of the ingredients were fresh. The hulk burger was equally amazing, but note that the peppers were pretty hot so this burger isn't for the faint of heart. We both got sweet potato fries for our sides and let me tell you--they were the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Perfectly crispy and delicious. Most sweet potato fries are soggy, but these were so so so good. Will definitely return!
google avatar

Natasha O.

Yelp
Stopped in after a conference at McCormick Place. The place was packed, but my server was still very attentive. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and Brussel sprouts. The sandwich was amazing. The Brussel sprouts were a bit large, but good flavor. Many dark beers on tap, which is what I always look for. Fabulous! Worth checking out.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
True burgers here are delicious! I usually don't finish my burgers, as I don't have a huge appetite most of the time, but this was so good! I got the Brussel sprouts on the side which were delicious as well. Service was good, drinks were good, I was very satisfied.
google avatar

Yelp
The name truly speaks for itself. Large drinks or large alcohol pours... regardless it's truly amazing. I went here on a Tuesday afternoon and got a coronarita. It was recommended to me by a colleague so I decided to give it a go. Words can't express how large this drink was. The glass itself is about 24 oz and then there's a 7.7 oz mini bottle adding extra into the mix. Considering I am not a huge beer fan, this is a nice mix between hard alcohol and beer. On Tuesdays the special is $2/$3 tacos without rice and beans. I purchased one fish and one steak taco. I was really not please with the tasting of the food. The flavors did not mix well personally to me. Of course since it is not an authentic Mexican restaurant, you get more of an American twist of flavors in the food. Personally I didn't even finish the tacos.
google avatar

Erika G.

Yelp
Oh, never again. Popped in here for a Bloody Mary. It was horrible. And $13? Weird sour-bitter taste, and minimal garnishes. Not good at all. And almost $1 for a "credit card surcharge" on the bill? NO. Inside was horrifying. Super LOUD and a COVID night mare with no one masked up. Tables outside on the patio (where we sat) were quite close together. I won't be back.
google avatar

Shanel S.

Yelp
I've gotta say, this place has pretty damn good bar food. My go-to is always their nachos. For about $11 they're completely loaded and almost impossible to finish if you're with less than four people. I'm not sure what theme they're going for outside of a brewery, but they even do pizza really well. Always be sure to check out their website for updated happy hour deals and specials - there's something for pretty much every day. Wide beer list and strong cocktails. Great service and clean!
google avatar

Lewis V.

Yelp
Delicious and affordable. Looking forward to returning but on a non game night. The tv screens were a little too loud but still worth it.
google avatar

Doris M.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW when I got my bill. Nachos, chicken wings with bone, chicken wings without bone, two cokes and one margarita. The food was blah. ( 17.00 for a margarita on the rocks) 79.00 for snacks and we didn't eat it all because the nachos were like cardboard. plus tip 89.00, that is alot of money for what we ordered. I will not return. I felt ripped off. The place was empty except for one other booth and 2 people at the bar and I had to ask for my margarita, and was told he was backed up at the bar??? go if you want to, but get ready to pay big time. Oh and what about a cc charge of 2.75 as if that isn't enough. NO BANG FOR TE BUCK

I'm soooo happy Fatpour is back open! We love this place so much. The food, the drinks, the servers are all amazing. I literally dream about their burgers and brussels sprouts. Every server I've had is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I can't wait for Patio season to open back up so I can sit outside and enjoy a watermelon is good.

Yelp
Great place for food, drinks and sports. Recently came on a Friday night, for whatever reason the bar back Josh made my margarita. It was the best drink I've had there and I've been many times! He should be fronting the bar, but regardless always a good time.

Yelp
Misa is the best bar tender ever!! She knows her sh*t! Great beers and mojitos here. Try the cucumber drink.

Yelp
Tim, James, Clinton and most importantly Chloe, were absolutely amazing, they provided the best service I have ever experienced!! My brother and I went to 3 other bars and immediately left back to see Chloe and staff!!

Yelp
You come here for the beers honestly, do I need to say more??? It truly is a fat pour. You won't be disappointed! Burgers were another highlight. I got the maple bacon burger that comes with avocado, tots, and a fried egg, With each bite, you can definitely taste it all and that's what I loved about the burgers. Also got the Nashville hot wings appetizer, but they were a tad small and nothing special tbh. Same with the sides of fries and crispy brussel sprouts. Overall good experience as you come hear for the beer and sports (FYI: they have a pig outdoor screen so you can watch your favorite game, definitely a huge bonus)

Yelp
I came in last Friday and had such a good experience! Me and my husband finally had a night out for some food and drinks. We started with the chicken and waffle bites, cheese curds, and artichoke dip. Our server Angie was the best. She welcomed us as soon as we sat down and made sure we knew how to navigate the menu as it was our first time there. She gave us lots of suggestions and spent time chatting with us. We appreciated feeling like friends and not just have our order taken and food dropped off. We will definitely be coming back to Fatpour!
