Another birthday dinner I must say. Weekend getaway to South Hampton planned by Honey. He made a reservation here at FAUNA in Westhampton.. Oh yes OYSTERS 🦪 that’s the first think he look at the menu before making any reservations 😉 If I am not wrong we had a great server GINA. I never got to ask her name for reconfirmation. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. My honey doesn’t fail to surprise me. HAPPY WIFEY HAPPY LIFE 😜😜😜❤️❤️❤️ Thank you fauna team for great food and great services. Definitely on our list if we ever visit to Westhampton.

Such a wonderful birthday dinner! The pork belly appetizer was like biting into the thickest most well cooked piece of bacon. The asparagus in my main were crisp and sweet potatoes a flavorful complement. My drink using Betterman Distilling was nice and strong!

The best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at on Long Island. I took my mom here for an early birthday dinner, and we could not have been more thrilled. It was our first time dining here, and the food was outstanding - so good that I had to refrain from licking the plate clean. We had drinks, appetizers, entrées, and dessert, and somehow each course was even better than the last. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was just as exceptional - attentive, friendly, and warm. The atmosphere was also a dream: cozy yet elegant. We felt completely comfortable, like we were at home, but still pampered and treated to a special night out. I truly can’t say enough good things about this place. We will absolutely be back!

Caesar salad with grilled salmon is amazing! Gnudi with veggies was a surprisingly delicious, delicate, dining deluge. Definitely give it a try to see for yourself!

Kudos to Carissa for making our first dining experience an excellent one. The food is delightfully pleasing to eye and palate. All of the staff were welcoming even though we did not have reservations. (Reservations HIGHLY recommended. We arrived later in the evening and got very lucky!) The almond crusted flounder was the best flounder I have ever had! Even though it was busy, the ambience of the restaurant was calming. We will definitely be dining at Fauna again.

Food was amazing! Went during restaurant week (fall 24) and all the choices on the menu were unique and beautiful. If the bone marrow is on the menu, get it. I had the salmon, which was cooked correctly and didn’t taste “fishy” like some places accidentally do, and the almond crusted flounder had a really nice texture and wasn’t oily. Dessert was the bread pudding, which I believe had a splash of bourbon and honey, and was firm and not goopey batter like other bread puddings I’ve had in the past. The pecan pie, I was told, is spectacular and a nice spin on a classic, and the plate was licked clean. The reason for 4 stars? I made a reservation for 6:30pm, and since it’s through Resy, you’re told you’ll be charged for cancelling/not being on time. Received multiple text messages reminding me to be on time. So I’m on time. And then a group in front of us, who had a reservation at flora, not fauna, gets seated ahead of us (under 5min wait for them) and another couple that came in later and didn’t have a reservation also was seated. In the end, I got to wait a half hour at the bar, after making sure to make a reservation, so other people without reservations could be seated. Really annoying. I understand it’s restaurant week, but people who make reservations should, I don’t know, actually have their reservations honored? Also, the fire alarm randomly went off and the staff was kinda like “this happens all the time! Don’t worry!” Which makes me, someone in the safety field, worried about what will happen if a fire actually happens? Fire rescue did show up to check, but still. Overall, a nice place, will try again not during restaurant week to see if they can keep a schedule and if the fire alarm issue really does happen as often as they said.

Are outside in the back where they had live music. It was a cool night but the outside is protected and not cold. Lobster bisque was delicious with big chunks of lobster and mussels appetizer had spicy sausage in it which made them taste great. Scallops and bronzino fish dishes were also prepared with wonderful flavor. Service was great! Hard to get a reservation. Went on a Thursday, out of season, and it was booked.

Excellent food. Lobster bisque was nuts, burger was excellent, bison carpaccio stellar and man oh man was their deserts delicious. Martinis made perfectly for the first round. Second round my very lightly dirty martini came back pretty dirty and I normally would just muscle it down but I mentioned and apologized to the waiter and they made me feel so comfortable in asking for it to be fixed. I usually am too embarrassed to ask but he assured me he wanted me to enjoy my drink and changed it so quick. Overall the place was packed and service food and attention to detail was all spot on. Excellent experience.

Had an amazing lunch today......The chef's plating and combinations of flavors with our server,Angela's , guidance was a wonderful experience. We decided to take advantage of restaurant weeks special and adding a few of the most delicious entrees. Starting with popovers with brown sugar butter, Brussels sprouts, red pepper Gnudi , kale salad, salmon and chicken baguette. The combinations of flavors were delightful... The plating was a piece of art. Not being able to eat anymore we decided to share a dessert... Angela suggested that we could always take it home for later but after having the croissant bread pudding with house made ice cream how could we not finish? Fauna is a Michelin star restaurant so good bye trekking into NYC !

Anyone who says the food in the Hamptons is just alright clearly hasn't been to Fauna. I had one of the best meals and best martinis of my life here this winter. Located off of main street in Westhampton, Fauna operates out of a cozy cottage-esque building that's warm and inviting in winter (and I'd imagine just as charming during summertime). We made a reservation for 8:45 on a weekday, but saw how much fun everyone was having at the bar and decided to post up and eat there. Our bartender was attentive and accommodating, promptly supplying us with the food and drink menu. I kicked things off with the hot and dirty martini which lived up to its name. Equal parts salty and spicy, it combines the best flavors of a bloody mary while packing the punch of a dirty martini. For appetizers we split the bison carpaccio, the best carpaccio I've ever had in my life. The espresso chili salt and fresh lemon balanced this dish out perfectly, plus it was served with crispy crackers for added texture. The mussels we split featured chorizo which I typically don't like, but the spices in this one were just right. We also had the herbed popover, which was fluffy and delicious. We split the steakhouse caesar as well which was another home run - the horseradish forward caesar dressing was on point, and the hearty anchovies the salad came topped with were excellent. We also split the French dip which was packed with prime rib (can you tell we were hungry?), probably the best French dip I have ever had or will ever have again. If you're in the area and want to have an outstanding, memorable meal, this is your spot.

My brother treated me to dinner here. Ooooh. This is situated at the site of the former Starr Boggs. The ambiance is both lovely and lively. The place was filled with happily chattering gourmands, and the bar was packed. We had a reservation, so waited just a few minutes to be seated. Service was flawless. Water glasses were discreetly refilled, plates whisked away. The food was superb. My brother's steak was perfectly cooked. My Caesar salad was delicious, and the grilled chicken was juicy. Both the Brussels sprouts and the mushrooms were flavorful and yummy. This was a splendid dining experience. I also had a delicious cocktail, but apparently neglected to photograph it. It was a combination of mezcal and bourbon. Wowza!

The food was exceptional, got the Steakhouse Caesar with salmon on it and that salmon was perhaps the best I've ever tasted. Perfectly cooked and melted like butter when you ate it, so good. My wife got the Fall Harvest Salad With Grilled Chicken and we both split the Wild Mushroom Radiatori - all delicious. The place had a cool animal-inspired rustic ambiance, with notably quirky wallpaper in the bathrooms which was cool - check it out and you'll see what I mean. Only thing that could be better was the service was lacking when we went. Only one server managing most of the entire dining room, and in their defense there clearly should be more people on for a weekend afternoon, but they were still often absent and not very engaged. I know I sound petty and needy - but oh well I am - and you should expect attentive service at a place like this in the Hamptons for the prices you pay per plate. Overall, Fauna offers GREAT food but needs to improve its service to match the quality of its food and atmosphere.

I have visited this place numerous times, and it has never failed to impress me. The atmosphere is always lovely, and I particularly enjoy spending time at the bar. Without fail, I find myself indulging in the delicious bread every time I visit. The service is consistently exceptional. I have had the pleasure of dining here during Long Island restaurant week, and I have always been impressed by the high-quality menu offered at great prices. One of my favorite items on the menu is the sangria, and the addition of hibiscus flowers makes it even more delightful. Dominick provided us with excellent service, and her recommendations were spot-on. The hibiscus flower in the sangria was a delightful touch. For appetizers, we tried the lobster bisque and shrimp, and for the main course, we savored the steak and duck pasta - both dishes were absolutely delicious. We concluded the meal with the chocolate mousse and cheesecake, both of which were outstanding. We are definitely looking forward to returning :). Additionally, during the summer, I have had the pleasure of enjoying live music outside.

Visited during Labor Day holiday and the service was impeccable. The ambience is very relaxed and the decor was quite traditional, yet historic. The food was delightful. We shared the scallops and chicken, which was flavorful.

This is the old Star Boggs, now Fauna part of the Cowfish and Rumba Group. The food is just delicious and the service is Top Notch. There is Bar as you enter with both outdoor and indoor dining areas. The Apple Crisp French Toast for brunch is amazing. The location is off of Main Street but there is public parking available.

This place had such a lively atmosphere and live music! Our server was very sweet and tended to our needs. We started out with delicious oysters and some drinks. All of this was amazing. For an entree,my partner got the pork chop and loved it! My swordfish was yummy and the plating for everything was so vibrant. We finished with the chocolate pecan pie. EVERYONE should get the pie! It is SO GOOD.

Everything was great food,service and drinks. Definitely will be back. Burger is amazing

This was our first time dining at Fauna ( formerly Starr Boggs) and it did not disappoint. The food, service and ambiance was perfect, and our server (Angela M) deserves a shout out! She went above and beyond to serve us with a smile. We will definitely be back. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, as was the salmon. We will definitely be back!

What a great night last night celebrating our anniversary. We like to eat at the bar so we sat down and were introduced to the bartender Scott. What a great bartender he was I had their hot and dirty martini, and my husband had a Tito's and tonic Both drinks were amazing. We continued on to order an appetizer which was pork belly. Also amazing with the most delicious brussels sprout salad on the side and then for dinner we both ordered the petite filet mignon I added crumbled blue cheese my selected side was cream, sweet potatoes absolutely delicious. My husband also ordered the petite filet mignon he went for mashed potatoes. The whole night was just wonderful the food the service and Scott the bartender was a highlight. We appreciate them comping our dessert we shared the sorbet trio. We will be back.

My husband and I have been coming out to Westhampton for the past 3 years, and Fauna is hands down our favorite restaurant in town. The food is amazing (kale salad, the pork chop), the drinks are so unique (try the Hot & Dirty!), and the staff is so incredibly friendly (Angela is the loveliest waitress - you would be lucky to be in her section!). We have visited every restaurant in town, but Fauna is the one we keep coming back to over and over.

We love Fauna! We were in WHB for four nights and came to fauna twice for dinner, and a third time for drinks. We all could not get enough of the hot and dirty martinis. We are trying to recreate them ourselves they are that good. The food and service and atmosphere are also all pretty incredible. Definitely worth trying if in the area.

Service was impeccable, food was on point, get the sea bass if they still have it on special... was soooo delicious!

Fauna is an amazing restaurant. Everyone there has been so kind to me. The food, service and ambiance are all perfect. But, it's the people who work at all The Rooted Hospitality Restaurants that make them so special. Special shout out to my favorite at Fauna, Angela, who sent over desserts to my friend's birthday dinner at Cowfish. Angela makes a patron feel like family.

Fauna is probably the best restaurant in westhampton. The food is spectacular- the chicken for 2 is an amazing deal and absolutely delicious. The service is also great, the whole staff is so nice!

So, since Larry sold Dockers they lost their mojo!! We came to Fauna for our 3rd or 4th time.(Saturday night) The place was packed but we got a good table. Drinks were excellent, salads were also large and good! But the main course for all 4 of us was EPIC!! The portion was huge and it was delivered to the table piping hot!! I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 210! Usually I leave restaurants hungry, not here!!! Desert was warm pecan chocolate pie! It was delicious! I've been coming to the Hamptons since the 70's and live in WHB, take my word for it,GO TO FAUNA!!!! Enough said.

Tuna was very fresh and the lamb was devine--our service was prompt--the ambiance was nice save for the table next to us that became rowdy after a few drinks.

We decided to try someplace we had never been for our wedding anniversary, and we chose Fauna. This meal was incredible, and every cocktail we had was excellent. It was the first day of their new seasonal menu rollout and we were loving it. We had the popovers and lamb "lollichops" to start and both were incredible. For our mains we both had the fillet and it was one of the best I've had. They even sent over a delicious mousse dessert which was the perfect ending (with an espresso martini) to a great meal. The decor is great and the place has a great vibe. To top it all off the service was great. Everyone from the hostess, to the servers, to the managers, to the bartenders were all super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back- and soon!

Our waitress was incurable and on top of everything! She had great recommendations! The only down fall were the lamb lollipops were soooo small, and our drink from the took a while(not the waitress doing) I just think they were so busy with restaurant week. But this doesn't change my 5 star review. Everything from the drinks to dessert tasted incredible and I will be back to taste more. The photos hanging and atmosphere were a great as well. I cannot wait to visit again!

Delicious food and great service. We had lunch and had the radiatori with cheese and mushrooms, the harvest salad and the Scottish salmon. All were the best food we've had in a long time! Eating outside surrounded by plants and greenery: what could be better?

My family and I went to Fauna on Easter and had a fantastic experience so we went back for Mother's Day and the food atmosphere and drinks were all great. Pop overs with seasoned butter are a must try (very light and a great start. Oyster were fresh and ice cold (cocktail sauce had a great flavor) I had the scallops with truffle for an entree and I can say they were the best I've had. Flavor was so well balanced. Steaks were cooked perfectly and sauces were all great. Mushroom sides and asparagus were terrific. One of my biggest takeaways was the hot and spicy martini. By far the best martini I've had. Food here is top notch, service and staff is great and I would recommend this spot if you're in Westhampton!

Been going to their other location flora for a few years now so we wanted to try here for my mother's birthday. Atmosphere, food and service was great. Our server was really attentive, friendly, and gave us some great suggestions. Highly recommend the duck l'orange it was extremely tasty, tender and refreshing, the oysters were fresh and excellent, and the kale side salad with peanuts was so good we all tried it. Thank you to management for their help with my step-dad's steak that came out slightly overcooked. We will definitely be back we have never felt so appreciated as a customer before, amazing staff and highly recommend!

Stopped in for a nice light lunch with mom. Service was great and super friendly. We ordered the soup which was a red pepper tomato bisque, the blueberry crumb cake with creme fresh and the lobster Benedict. Perfect amount of food. Great taste. We really loved the crumb cake and there were big chunks of lobster with the Benedict. Plus 2 espresso martinis :) Classy, bohemian vibes.

Food is tasty. Drinks are delicious. Service is great. Very amenable. The ambiance is very chill, cozy. I love coming here.

We found Fauna by accident and had a truly delightful meal. Our server Angela was outstanding. We had to take our deserts home. Prix fixe was a great choice. Highly recommended.

The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place. We were visiting from Philadelphia and my husband was wearing his Phillies shirt. It was during the playoffs and our waitress was joking with him. The game is on now and the Mets are ahead currently! It was wonderful! Our waitress was Angela! She was amazing!

We had a great evening at Fauna. It's really a scene, quite crowded with an active bar. The clientele ran the gamut from slinky ingenues to dudes in polo shirts, shorts and flip flops. We were happy to be seated outdoors- it was a beautiful and the indoor space was quite noisy. Sierra, our waitress, remembered us from a recent visit to their sister restaurant, Flora. She was lovely and gave us good advice. I started off with an expertly made Monkey 47 martini. The other cocktails were really good. My wife and I split an order of crab cakes as an appetizer. They were among the best that we have ever eaten. The popovers were awesome and the wedge salad was great. Main courses were excellent, too. I had great grilled tuna that was accompanied by smoky, umami rich fried rice and chimichuurri sauce that complemented the fish. The lobster carbonara and flounder received rave reviews. We were too full for dessert. Great atmosphere, service and food- an excellent antidote to the overpriced, yet mediocre food that inflicts the Hamptons.

We had to wait 30 min for our table even though we had a reservation, super frustrating. Normally if this happens, i expect them to bring something over for free, which they did not. We're a group of 5 mid 20s adults and we definitely felt like they didn't take us seriously due to our age. Service was very eh, we kept having to flag our waiter down just to get water. Food was not bad but nothing to call home for. I would not recommend and will not be back. Daphnes was much better. Ambiance is nice

I love it when I can give a restaurant 5 stars!!! Fauna deserves it on all points! A beautiful restaurant which has a lovely exterior & interior, personable and professional service and last but not least, great cocktails & food! It's the little things that truly impress! I asked our server what brands of Gin they had as I wanted to order a Gibson Martini. He told me but then returned with two samples for me to try! Just a great experience!

Another home run by Rooted Hospitality. The slam dunk of a restaurant is the perfect place to have a great brunch on the weekend or dinner for a date spot. The popovers were so good and tasty we ordered seconds! We got a bunch of appetizers, but what really stood out was the salad that accompanied the lamb lollichops! I wish that they were open for brunch during the week so I can try the lobster Benedict but I will have to come back on the weekend for that! The service was excellent, I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

As a long time local denizen, I've witnessed the many changes within the town - not all favorable, not all unfavorable. It took me longer than I wish it had to try Fauna once it replaced the beloved Starr Boggs but ever since my first meal there, I've been hooked! Their happy hour is by far the best deal in a 20 mile radius (I've done the leg work) and I'm not the only one who's noticed. There's typically a line out front before the doors even open for business (and not just during the summer season)! I always opt for the inside bar where Chris and/or Carlos continuously deliver top notch service. They are friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and truly put forth effort into remembering their customers. As for the food, the kale salad is a dish that I legitimately crave at least once per week. I don't usually obsess over lettuce, however, this salad is a real game changer. In regards to the rest of the menu, everything I've had has been fantastic. Be sure to order a popover (or 2)! They're so good that I was inspired to make them at home - to which I quickly learned is not an easy feat! Fauna is by far my favorite addition to the food scene in the area and my favorite of the rooted hospitality group of restaurants that includes Flora, Cowfish, Rumba, Rhum, and avo taco.

Dinner in the bar area . Great drinks , good food , amazing service ! If the made my salmon which went with my kale salad right before they brought it to the table instead of hours before .... I would have given them five stars .... Stay tuned for my return review !!! Make reservations 2-3 weeks before hand .

Hard to follow Star Boggs -long standing restaurant in WHB, but we were pleasantly surprised! Fauna stands very well on its own. From the new sign on front lawn to the details in the restaurant... deer paintings, ostrich feathers on chandelier, Japanese fish prints by local artist Chuck Seaman framed... signs of animal life everywhere. The seating was comfortable with padding. All was pleasant - visually and sensory. There were three of us and we ordered wedge salad, lobster bisque, summer salad with chicken and the famous chicken with two sides for two. The jous made it unique. The meal was delicious! I highly recommend!

So much potential to be fabulous! We loved our dinner. Sat at a high top in the bar and it was perfect. Oysters on point. Halibut is a must! Also tried the wedge salad which is a full head of iceburg lettuce with a surprise of tomato, bacon and goodness inside! There was far too much dressing though. I think they can tone it back. I got the petit filet with the salad and the size was exactly what I wanted. Bartender made a great old fashioned too! Service was great, attentive at the right times. Can't wait to come back!

Great meal. Good service. Loved the duck entree. Lovely spot to have a celebration. They really made it special, even bringing champagne.

Had the best first experience at Fauna! We went for happy hour on live music Thursday. Sat outside and our server Brianna was FANTASTIC!! Food was incredible as were the martinis. Watch us become regulars here!

We have had a number of amazing meals this season. And want to call out our fantastic server Angela!!! She is the best.

Went here during Winter restaurant week. My first time. Everything was fabulous from cocktails to food to service! Had the hot and dirty martini! Yum! Mussels as an app, side Caesar salad and the almond crusted flounder. Food was amazing. Ambience, lovely. Our waitress Angela could not have been more friendly or attentive. Next time you go, ask for her! I will be back for sure.
