The Best Restaurants With Covered Patio Dining in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Like the original Felix’s in the French Quarter, the main draw at this Lakefront location is the oysters — the second is the view over the lake. There’s second-floor outdoor seating and a covered, open-air patio under the restaurant on the water level that serves up live music and a truncated menu of oysters and boiled seafood. See also Blue Crab on the Lakefront." - Beth D’Addono

Where to Eat Oysters Outside in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Have oysters six ways at Felix’s, from cold and briny to chargrilled, to sauced Rockefeller, Buffalo and Bienville and du jour. Order a trio to sample three, all at market price. Seafood fried and blackened, homestyle faves like jambalaya and gumbo and fried seafood platters are more highlights of the voluminous menu." - Beth D’Addono

Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar Opens on the Lakefront - Eater New Orleans

"Felix’s restaurant is now slinging raw oysters on the Lakefront. The new oyster house opened this week in the spot Brisbi’s left in May after five years in business, Ian McNulty reports. Like the original Felix’s in the French Quarter, the main draw is the oysters. The Lakefront eatery has two oyster bars and a separate glassed-in area to watch the bivalves grilled over hot flames. According to McNulty’s report, the Lakefront Felix’s takes cues from a typical 'Bucktown menu' with more boiled seafood and a few new entrees than the original Felix’s in the Quarter. And then there’s that view over the lake — with plenty of second floor outdoor seating and an open-air patio under the restaurant on the water level that serves up live music and a truncated menu of oysters and boiled seafood." - Stephanie Carter

Food is good. Highly recommend from a couple places online. The way they cook the oyster is questionable. It is fresh but I never had grill oyster that has a sweet taste. For grill oysters, other seafood restaurant like Drago fit my preference better. Everything else is wonderful. Good portion, and fresh. Service is kind of slow, and their manager is useless. Waiters were running around taking orders and serving, but the man just stand there the whole day and didn't assist his staff at all. If the AC doesn't work upstairs, just sit outside, at least you get some breeze from fans.

Crab cakes were too salty and yes I told them and yes they were nice to take it off and give a free desert. Drinks arrived after the food and that is never good. We still love to come here and get away. Enjoy watching the boats come in and out of the docking area.

Came to bring our son to college. Came here back in Nov when we visited prior amd had to come again. We had the char grilled oysters, seafood boil and grilled red fish. Everything was excellent.

The AC was not working. It was SO HOT. They put a party of 12 in a booth when the whole restaurant was EMPTY. I watched people leave because of how HOT it was. I was not the driver, so I had no choice but to stay. I ordered a Cesar salad with fried shrimp. The shrimp were hot and seasoned well. However, I had to spit out shells. My husband did not eat... he was too hot. They were out of items that table had asked for. I'm still trying to figure out why we stayed and ate there. It was not a good experience at all. The only thing I enjoyed was sitting by the water cooling down (outside in Louisiana humidity, lol) waiting for everyone else to finish their conversation so we could leave.

Jessica our waitress was very prompt, knowledgeable, and kind during our first visit here. We came during happy hour, secured a great outdoor table, ordered 2 dozens of the chargrilled oysters and the crab dip— would definitely recommend and come back again!! The chargrilled oysters were delicious— I prefer them here at Felix’s better than other touristy hotspots around NOLA. They were great portions too for happy hour. We ended up getting two and a half dozen! The crab dip was also very flavorful and fresh. The house made chips made it even better. We couldn’t even wait to take a pic first for the review before digging in. So good! The outdoor patio area was nice and breezy, it started to rain during our meal but we were nice and covered from being bothered by the weather. Overall my favorite dining experience while visiting NOLA!

Took a special lady to Felix's for a date, and it was an unforgettable experience. I arrived early and worked with the manager, Mike, to surprise her with a red rose and a large slice of decadent chocolate cake for two at the end of our meal. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. As planned, our waiter brought the rose and cake to the table, and my date was completely blown away. Huge thanks to Mike and the entire staff for helping make the afternoon so special. You went above and beyond, and it truly showed. Well done!

Google
After many years of visiting this lovely city, Felix's is still my go to for char broiled oysters! Can't get enough of theur cheesy mixture they generously encase their large plump oysters in and broil to perfection. The best part is dipping the po boy bread they also slather in this goodness and breaking it up and having it soak up the remaining juices on the plate before devouring it as well! Love that they offer a trio sampler of their jambalaya, etoufee and red beans & rice! And their grits & shrimp is also a must order! For some roughage you can't go wrong with their side order of Brussels and their cole slaw. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, this location is about 12 min away by car is perfect since it's right on the water with both indoor and outdoor seating with the perfect views too! Ya just gotta go!!

Google
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I visit New Orleans once a year and I always make sure that I stop by here. The second floor of the restaurant is my favorite. You have a beautiful view. Service is good. Food is delicious. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
On Sunday we took the drive from Pontchartrain park out to the lakefront to dine at Felix. Upon arrival we were surprised to find a parking spot right in the parking lot. We proceeded up the elevator to the matre d' and we were immediately seated Upon being seated we were greeted by our server whose name was Jayden, she was rather busy but did ask us for our beverage selection. After finishing with her other guests she immediately came and began taking our order. She brought our appetizers out in a relatively short period of time, with our entrees following shortly thereafter. The food was absolutely delicious and although Jayden didn't hover she was always at the ready to answer any questions and respond to our requests. The atmosphere, the view, the ambience was great and best of all everything we ordered was reasonably priced. All in all Felix was a great place to spend a wonderful Sunday afternoon.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Great Sunday afternoon at Felix's! We sat outside to listen to the band and enjoy the nice breeze coming off the water. Our server Tyler was the best, he was right there for whatever we needed even though they were super busy! The chargrilled oysters were cooked perfectly with lots of bread for dipping and the beer was ice cold. The manager Justin was walking around checking in on everyone which was great to see. This will definitely be my go to spot from now on!

Yelp
This is our first time visiting New Orleans. Yesterday (Saturday 5pm) we visited Felix's in the French Quarter and we were very disappointed. We wanted to give this place another shot. So prior to heading back home we decided to stop at this location. We were seated right away (since they weren't busy at all) Sunday at noon. Food was great! We got raw oysters 10/10, rice & beans bowl 10/10 it came with a whole sausage. Their rice and beans was so flavorful and hearty. We also got a side of fried shrimp 4/10- not a fan. It tasted like frozen/battered/fried. Our server (forgot her name- red hair) was fantastic! Very attentive, but not all over your space. The view was awesome! Coming from Cali and moved to TX- def missed the harbor/water front deal. Im not so sure why this place doesn't have much good reviews, BUT I must say this location is 1000 times better than the one in the French Quarter. Its to hyped- but doesn't live to it. I'm so glad we visited this location.

Yelp
I missed it last trip, but upon many peoples' recommendation, I got out to Felix's last night. I went to the location right on the lake as opposed to dealing with parking and stuff in the quarter, and I'm happy I did because the view was downright beautiful. Had dinner on the deck and just enjoyed the scenery. Started off naturally with the charbroiled oysters. I came here with the intention of comparing these to places like Drago's, Acme, Don's, etc but I don't feel I can do that in good conscience. These are prepared differently and give almost the feeling of eating a clams oreganata. They have seasoned bread crumb overtop as where most I've had are more of a garlic butter and blend of cheeses melted over them. With that said, these were fantastic. The oysters themselves were super fresh and not tough or chewy at all, and the topping was seasoned well and added a different depth to the dish. Better or worse, no matter your opinion, they were awesome. I also got the seafood platter which came with breaded and fried fish, oysters, and shrimp with sides of hush puppies, fries, and cole slaw. All of the seafood was very good and I enjoyed the flavor of the breading. The hush puppies were good but not the best I've had. The Cole slaw was good but also not great. And unfortunately the fries were super heavily dusted with seasoning and really salty. I ate a few just to make sure they were all that way and I didn't just get a random errant fry...but it was the batch. Their old fashioned was right up there with some of the best I've had in Nola as well. Very enjoyable meal, and I'd definitely go back again. Felix's seafood in New Orleans - Didn't Suck! Yelp
This was one of the highlights of my trip! The chargrilled oysters were SOOO good! I discovered the place on Tik Tok and was excited after hearing there happy hour prices were so affordable! $1 - $1.50 for Oysters and discounted drinks was right up my alley. It was my first time having a chargrilled oysters and I am SOLD! Additionally their crawfish etouffee and trio plate were delicious. Additionally the ambiance is amazing! Its right next to the water! As a person who lives in a big city I don't see water much so I was ecstatic! Eating oysters while overlooking the water is a vibe that is stored in my favorite memories bank. Additionally the service was decent. It was very busy so we experienced a longer wait then excepted after being seated. But the ambiance and food was so satisfying it was worth it! Since it was happy hour our bill for three came up to less then $120 including 2 orders of chargrilled oysters, 2 orders of fresh oysters, 3 drinks, and 3 entrees. I am still shocked at how affordable it was.

Yelp
i arrived during happy hour and was served by Jade. The last time I eat at this location, Jade was my server so I knew the service would be great. She did not disappoint The oysters were delish as always. My view was awesome. A++ in everything

Yelp
Considering they appeared to be pretty busy, we were greeted and seated pretty fast. We requested an outdoor table since the weather was so beautiful. The waitress quickly came and took our drink order. I ordered a lemon drop which was not good at all. I tasted more artificial lemon juice/concentrate than anything, with cheap vodka and no sugary rim. I expressed my concern to the waitress and she removed it, sitting it on a used table behind us and got me a glass of wine. We ordered a dozen of raw oysters which were a nice size and tasty, and I had fish tacos while my boyfriend had the shrimp and fish platter with coleslaw and fries. We finished up sharing a piece of key lime pie and I had a second glass of wine. My boyfriend stuck with water. The bill with taxes and gratuity for the 2 of us for a shared appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine, and a shared dessert was about $135 which included a 22% gratuity. We eat out often so we're not opposed to paying for good food and service, however we've eaten at far more exclusive restaurants for dinner with more food and/or people and didn't pay this much. Keep in mind, this was a Friday during lunch time. I think for the food quality, service, and environment, the food is very much overpriced. Not to mention that the fish selection that was on the platter and the tacos was sway which is one of the most bottom feeding and cheap fish to buy. Lastly, we were forced to dine next to people with their dogs. I don't think restaurants are a place for animals. It's unsanitary and people also may have allergies towards them. Unless it's a seeing eye dog or a registered service dog, I don't think they should be permitted. I'm not sure if I'd return or not, but certainly would not be my first choice.

Yelp
We were blown away by how amazing everything tasted! Of course we ordered char grilled oysters, gato bites, and some raw oysters. The pasta dish we ordered was very delicious. The food was so good that we didn't even have any leftovers. Service was fun and friendly and the view from the outdoor seating was awesome, being so close to the water. This location is better than the one in downtown, unless you want to go to the original spot for nostalgia and long wait times.

Yelp
Service was excellent and everyone was very attentive. Food was excellent and raw oysters were huge and delicious. The turtle soup and bread pudding were so good. Great laid back atmosphere with a nice breeze upstairs inside. Music downstairs was good but a little too loud if dining with friends you want to talk to.

Yelp
When we noticed that this place had some great food and a very relaxing ambiance we decided to make it a point to go for a visit. Great food, great service and amazing music from the first floor that you are able to hear from the terrace

Yelp
Best 100 bucks of food I've ever spent. So this actually ended up being the most amount of money I've ever spent on a meal for myself. Got the crab fingers, which I didn't really care for and could've saved 30 bucks on, the trio plate of the gumbo, jambalaya and red beans and rice. Of which, the Jambalaya was the best without a doubt. Tasted heavenly, an explosion of flavour, a little spice too.. man even talking about makes me want more. The red beans were okay, and the gumbo was good in that order. The main course oyster platter was amazing. Expensive, but worth every penny. The batter they use for the coating of their fried food is so nice. A little bit of remoulade and those crispy chips? Jeez. Some of the best fried seafood I've ever had. Felix is known their oysters, I didn't have the charbroiled ones on this occasion, but I have in the past and highly recommend them. The fried oysters of course are also great. You can't go wrong with anything on this menu.

Yelp
I've been doing myself a disservice by passing this place for years and just now getting around to trying it. Such a nice restaurant/bar located on the lake. Food, drinks, and vibes were all nice. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend taking advantage of the outdoor seating when the weather permits, it's so nice on the lake. My friend and I had the Buffalo oysters for an appetizer, they were very tasty and filling, they could have easily been my meal. I had the Felix's pasta for my main dish and I highly recommend it. It was penne pasta with shrimp and oysters, so good. I'm not a beer drinker but they had this Urban South lime cucumber hose beer, very refreshing. The service was top notch and they have plenty of parking. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came to enjoy the nice weather outside. The appetizers were fine, then proceeded to wait over an hour for entries, which we asked the server to box up to go as we were getting tired. When we opened the boxes, how sad. You can literally count the noodles in the Alfredo. And the steak was supposed to come with asparagus, and for $49? Sorry but, absolutely not

Yelp
Local staple right on the water. We ate upstairs and had oysters and bloody Mary's. Both recommended. Open atmosphere is breezy and fresh. The service is attentive and friendly too.

Yelp
Whenever I visit New Orleans, I try to find the cheapest happy hour oysters. Last year, I found parlays, which sold a dozen of fresh oysters for $8, but I was told that they stopped selling them about a couple months ago, after hiking up their price to $12 for a dozen. After receiving a recommendation from one of the locals, I came across this place that also sold a dozen of fresh oysters for $12 during happy hour. Oysters were super fresh, service was great, but most surprisingly, the view was from the seats upstairs were amazing. We also got a chance to try their chargrilled oysters, and even though we preferred the raw oysters over the chargrilled ones, they were full of flavor and had an amazing, smoky flavor. We definitely look forward to coming back the next time we visit New Orleans.

Yelp
Don't walk.. RUN!! They have an amazing happy hour. $1 raw oysters and $1.50 char broiled plus 50% of wine. They oysters are to die for!! Literally the best that I had while visiting New Orleans.

Yelp
Update: The business manager reached out to me to contact them, and after reaching out to them some time ago, I have not heard a thing.

Yelp
As a local and moving to the Northshore and coming back from time to time, I really have enjoyed eating here before with the family. But tonight on 4/6 we decided to drive from the Northshore to eat here with my friends and tonight we got sat rather quickly but was never was seen by our server for close to 20 mins. I went up the bar order drinks tipped the bartender and went back to my table. At which time the server decided to come to the table after I told the manager I had to get my drinks from the bar. The server came to the table and proceeded to have attitude and we all stood up and walked out. Decided to go across the way to JB Fueldock for a better atmosphere. It sad that it came to that but it is what it is. Hope you have a conversation with your wait staff and no matter if they having a bad day. Treat your customers with a smile bc you never know who you are serving.

Yelp
Really enjoyed lunch here! Got some awesome chargrilled oysters and a wedge. My mom enjoyed her shrimp poboy and really liked the gumbo. It was easy to park, get a table, and was a clean restaurant with a fun view. I'll be coming back and bringing family.

Yelp
"If it's great, it's worth the wait" Over the holiday, I went for a magnificent dinner (at the Lake front.) My table was on the veranda, which was very cozy with the addition of the outside heaters. An unexpected and extra pleasing treat, was being able to hear the live band (playing downstairs.) Immediately, I placed an order for my go-to of a dozen Char-grilled oysters. [*I highly recommend putting in your oyster order first. Nowadays, it seems like restaurant goers have forgotten that quality should not be rushed. The oysters take some extra time, (but trust) that they alone are more than worth the wait!) I'll admit, when I make a trip to Felix's (almost monthly, as of late) I don't hold back. This visit, I started off with the Avocado and shrimp salad, along with an order of Hushpuppies. Unlike their name "hushpuppies," I cannot keep hush about these golden, crunchy, mouthwatering bites of comfort. Before I knew it, my oysters arrived and the Parmesan breadcrumbs were still bubbling! Talk about a "feast for the eyes!" Again, superb quality will always beat rushing greatness.

Yelp
Perfect place to go when the weather is beautiful and you want to enjoy it while getting a bite to eat! This time we sat at the bar so we had a couple of very nice ladies tending to us. I had the Jungle Juice, drink which I loved and my friend had the Bushwacker, which she loved! We had the chargrilled oysters and they were very good (i just acquired the taste for oysters). The gumbo was mediocre and did not have much seafood. The same goes for the Caesar salad. It cost $9 to add shrimp - it came with 8 shrimp ... no dressing came out with it. They have dressing after i asked for it but I'm pretty sure it was Italian The downstairs bathroom was kinda like an outhouse dirty. Buzzkill. Overall, I'd go back for the ambiance but not because the food is something to rave about! If you stick to the chargrilled oysters, you're good everything else...meh.

Daniel M.

Yelp
No , my oysters were burnt /dry Fish was like rubber , I guess it depends who's in the kitchen . Iv heard great things , I must of went on the wrong day

Yelp
My friends and I had the best meal and overall experience in New Orleans 11/18/2023. The weather was perfect overlooking the water with a very pleasant breeze. Our waitress Susie was phenomenal in suggesting dishes and she offered pleasant, responsive and very quick service. Every single dish we ordered was beyond our preconceived notions of "New Orleans type of food". It was seasoned so carefully and had us literally licking our fingers. Our food was fresh and absolutely delicious! I mean the chargrilled oysters was a dish we had to keep ordering because it was just that delicious. The drinks were delightful. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK.... Every time we are in N.O.

Yelp
Cute little waterfront restaurant. Service was great van was amazing ! I got the jambalaya pasta ! Absolutely delicious , a little spicy. I had the hurricane but with rum and it was also great! We had all the oysters on the menu and they were good a little room temp for my liking but flavorful .

John A.

Yelp
True New Orleanian here. Came to Felix's for a family get together. Almost Everything was great. The hostess, the food server and the manager. However, our waitress did not even present a smile and gave us a hard time. She warmed up a little bit towards the end. Food server noticed that the shrimp on our po-boys were low. So, he brought some extra on the side. Very nice atmosphere for a Saturday lunch. Raw oyster: 10/10 Char-grilled: 7/10 Shrimp po-boy: 6/10 Blackened chicken Alfredo: 8/10 Shrimp Tacos: 7/10 Bagel n Lox: 7/10

Yelp
Have y'all been to @felixsoysterbar on the Lakefront? People are always asking me for spots, so bookmark this!!!! These photos have no filter and don't need any. This food is so good. I don't really like filtering food because it is art. It's perfect for group dinners and holiday parties. I just LOVE the view of the water The food & vibes are amazing. Chargrilled oysters & Oysters du jour. Perfect for the seafoodies Seafood Salad. Love a salad with crabmeat. This may be a new fave. Mai Mai & vegetables BBQ Shrimp Christmas mint & lime mistletoe mule really enjoyed the Christmas mint. We enjoyed Louisiana oysters dishes, Christmas cocktails, salad, mai mai and bread pudding.

Yelp
What a great local treat. Located on the lakefront so you've got a lovely view. I went with my husband and our two boys for a late lunch early dinner. It was busy. We caught them at the tail end of happy hour which was cool because our oysters were cheaper and my beer was half off. We ordered the world as it was our first time going. Everything was good. I had the soup trio and all the soups were pretty good. We had the fried alligator which was delicious. We also had the fried calamari and that was less than savory...it tasted like everything else that hits the fryer. For entrees we had the fish/shrimp platter, kids tenders, cheeseburger, seared tuna and a half dozen buffalo oysters. Tasty tasty with enough to take home. I wanna go back and try the Sunday brunch, it says bottomless mimosas are $15.99...I can get down with that. Go check this place out!

Brandy C.

Yelp
We have been going to Felix's on the lake for a couple of years now. The location, right on the water, with great views, makes it one of my favorites. They usually have a live band at the outside bar on the weekends. The grilled oysters are always so good! There has definitely been some room for improvement, but I met the new general manager, Justin, and he is working on some great ideas. The outdoor server, Tyler, is always very nice and very attentive to his tables.
google avatar

Yelp
Disappointed with the experience. We ordered to go food a couple of times during the pandemic so wanted to try it out in person. Service was "challenged" but we see that a lot post-pandemic so don't always blame the restaurant. The gumbo Ya Ya was terrible, the roux was obviously burnt, which no serious Cajun restaurant would serve. We had the fried seafood which was okay but some was a little over cooked so dry. The worst was the 3.5% "administrative fee" added at the end of the bill for a mediocre dining experience. Leave for the tourist I guess.

Yelp
Beautiful location and superb food as well as live music! Will definitely go back for the chargrilled oysters

Yelp
the view makes you forget that you are at the city.... view to the river and such relaxing ambient- the oysters are delicious out of this world!

Yelp
Wonderful charred Oysters and amazing view. Such a great spot! A big change from the hustle and bustle of french quarter location which wonderful too!

Yelp
This location of Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar is located in New Orleans on Lake Pontchartrain at 7400 Lakeshore Drive which is about 20 minutes and 8 miles away from the New Orleans French Quarter. This location of Felix's is located in a popular spot situated right on the lakefront where you get some amazing views to go along with your traditional New Orleans seafood. There are currently five locations of Felix's Restaurant including three Louisiana locations including this one on the New Orleans Lakefront, the original in the New Orleans French Quarter and in Mandeville along with locations in Gulfport, Mississippi and Pensacola Beach, Florida. Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar on the lakefront has developed into a locals favorite along with their neighbor Blue Crab Restaurant & Oyster Bar with both spots often offering live music. My video review of Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar is here: https://youtu.be/DZtyqHCPTWc

Yelp
As a follow up I had to change my review. The manager/chef reached out personally about my review and was sincere in his apology. Also I will say my meal was amazing. Try the char broiled oysters. BEST EVER!

Yelp
If you are looking for a waterfront view, this is the place to go, but if you want great food. Probably not. I ordered a Caesars salad. The croutons were the only thing that tasted good. The lettuce was wilted and not appealing. I ordered the BBQ shrimp po boy, and I was disappointed with the small popcorn shrimp. Not what I expected at all, but the flavor of the bbq sauce was tasty. Sadly they did not clean the shrimp, and I could see the vein. Needless to say, I was not impressed at all. The French fries were piping hot and very good. I'm only giving them two stars because Von, our server, was very pleasant. Not a favorite.

Wendy R.

Yelp
We went to Felix's for chargrilled oysters. It took nearly 70 minutes for them to come out. When they did come out, they were singed and tasted like lighter fluid. I could not even eat one entirely; they were so burned. The oysters were also very gritty. The accompanying bread was completely burned. The manager, who had never cooked oysters before, was grilling them. This is not something someone with no experience should do. If one wants chargrilled oysters, stay away from Felix's. To be fair, the fried oysters were very good. But what got me, was that the manager offered NO ONE a free drink for waiting for 70 minutes, nor did the manager come to our table to apologize for the poor food. A good manager should know how to cover his or her behind. This one did not.

Yelp
5 stars for the drinks and prompt service. Didn't try the food. Lake front and nice view. Laid back ambiance.

Yelp
I'm generally not too picky with foods but sadly didn't have the greatest eating experience here. Overall the food was fairly bland and didn't feel like it was the highest quality. More specifically - the raw oysters were bland and the wines we had were so difficult to consume.. Niceish view sitting in the outdoor patio.

Yelp
The Shrimp and Grits were excellent. The Shrimp Scampi was a very large portion with mostly pasta. The sides were expensive and were extra. The bread pudding was served piping hot and the whiskey sauce was delicious. Service was slow initially for how few tables were in use. The ambiance was ok for a family place but the prices were high for a family place. They can charge the higher prices because the location on the lake made them competitive with the other two major seafood restaurants in the row. They advertised Wagyu beef but they did not have any when we ate there on a Saturday night in February.

Yelp
I've been here several times and have sworn by their chargrilled oysters - love to go there just to sit by the water, have a beer, and enjoy a sunset. However, yesterday was my absolute last visit here. My boyfriend and I ordered one dozen chargrilled oysters, two crab cakes, and two beers. I was in shock as we ate the oysters - every single oyster had shell fragments in it. This was really off putting, like biting down and getting a mouthful of gritty, fishy sand between your teeth. I have never, in a lifetime of eating them, found a shell in a chargrilled oyster. Even more egregious - we pulled a shell piece the size of a dime from one. When the server came to check on us, I was waiting for her to ask, "How was it?" so that I could tell her about the shells (not for compensation/re-order, just to let them know they'd messed up so they could fix it for others), but she didn't even ask, just nodded and said, "Y'all doing alright?" and walked away before we could say anything. To add insult to injury, our bill came: $78, and that wasn't even including the tip! That's right: 6 oysters and a crab cake the size of poker chip each (we were just there for a snack), and nearly $100 gone. I have never felt so cheated by a restaurant in my life. They've lost two customers forever.

Yelp
Took out of town guests there hoping for good oysters and food and we were so disappointed. After ordering off the menu our server went to the kitchen and returned to tell us three out of the four things we ordered were not available - how can a seafood restaurant be out of shrimp (!) and tuna? And how could the server not be aware of that and tell customers ahead of time? Once we had our food the jambalaya pasta was dry and not very good, the oyster po-boy was dull and the grilled oysters in the half-shell were small. There were many empty tables and we could see why. There are too many other good seafood restaurants in New Orleans and Felix's should have stayed with its French Quarter location, chef and staff.

Yelp
Felix's not only has a great view, but fantastic food as well! Of course we had to try some Oysters, so I got a dozen of the Chargrilled Oysters, which were delicious. I also tried some of their summer specials, like the Gazpacho, Mahi Mahi, Crab Ravigote, Watermelon Salad, and some seasonal cocktails! The service was awesome, and we went for dinner on a Thursday and there was a decent crowd, but you could probably get a walk-in table. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
One of the best restaurants price-wise and taste-wise. You will be glad to go here. Excellent water view. The chargrilled oysters have an excellent presentation and great taste. We paired them with oysters Rockefeller and oysters Bienville. Both were great. They have the best turtle soup that I have had in the last 20 years. The shrimp poboy was good. the fried alligator poboy was flavorful and delicious. Overall, I would give it a great rating. The prices and taste would make it a favorite of I lived in New Orleans. You can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Well I took a trip here after constantly seeing it pop on my Instagram and because I will travel for good food, especially to my favorite city. When we arrived the place was half way full but they were no longer taking people in due to staff and kitchen staff. We were able to snag a seat at the bar thankfully. The bartender was overwhelmed but prompt. It didn't bother us at all that it took a minute to get to us bc he was ripping and running and to us still got to us in a reasonable time. The oyster bar was half way down so they only had chargrilled and raw. Hubs ordered chargrilled was impressed. He does want to come back to try the other options. I was a little underwhelmed with my plate. The portion to me was really small for the price. They were also out of red beans which was a bummer. The batter on the seafood is great but I don't think the portion is up to par to match. Also their punch bowl drink was not on my menu but I noticed it someone's picture so I asked about it. The bartender was able to make it for me. A little weak at first but it will catch up to you. I really think they need to advertise it more. Overall I might come back. Shoutout to the service team all of them were running back and forth trying to keep up.

Yelp
Had a good experience with the whole family. The wait staff was great and everyone enjoyed their food. The live music downstairs was also very fun.

Yelp
Food and service was great, restaurant was very busy but worth the 20 minute wait. Charbroiled oysters were on point as usual!

Yelp
I don't even want to give this restaurant a one. I understand that it's Good Friday and everyone is busy but not only where we forgotten about to get our table outside but once we got outside, we waited 30 minutes for service. Not one waiter or waitress even acknowledged that we were sitting there. We had one drink that was paid for at the bar by a wonderful bartender. Too bad she was the only one paying attention.

Yelp
So im here for my Birthday and we appreciate the fact that they took on a large group at the last minute but the cocktails is horiable and the shrimp and grits is like bighting into a block of warm butter not savory at all. Also the BBQ shrimp has no flavor but just a ton of hot pepper. The waitress was awesome!! Ask for Lauren she is an awesome waitress. I feel bad because this place has a goodnoutside setting and view with good outside features but the food isnt that good.

Yelp
We came for happy hour. Raw oysters was so fresh. Chargrilled oysters were so good. We got white wine which was refreshing
