Fielding's River Oaks

Dropped in for brunch on a Sunday before the rush. We were offered a booth adjacent to the bar which we happily accepted. The owner stopped by and talked to us explaining what makes Fielding’s unique and even offered a tour of the kitchen. Our server was attentive and helpful. However, she was not very knowledgeable of the brunch menu. While a shortcoming, we appreciated her candor. She told us up front it was her first brunch shift & promised to find the answers to the questions she didn’t know. We ordered: breakfast martini, latte (not pictured) coffee cake, romaine salad, spinach salad, avocado scramble & the black lentil shakshuka. We found everything to be super flavorful. They offer a mimosa flight and a boozy breakfast coffee flight which we didn’t have a chance to try this time around. Live music was also a nice touch! Looking forward to a return visit for social hour and/or dinner. Note: valet available

Words cannot fully capture the exquisite quality of the food I experienced. Each dish was a delightful masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. The service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive and truly dedicated to ensuring their guests felt welcome and valued. Their genuine hospitality made the dining experience all the more memorable. Without a doubt, they deserve nothing less than five-star reviews for their outstanding performance.

My family and I went here after church on Sunday for Brunch. I was SO IMPRESSED! From the time we walked in the Hosts made us feel so welcome. The owner greeted us at the door also and even gave her a brief walk through of the kitchen. We met the executive chef as well as some of the other kitchen staff. Everyone was beyond pleasant. Our waiter was amazing and gave us great service. But the food, OMG AMAZING. By far my new favorite brunch spot in Houston. Definitely a 10/10! Oh.. can't forget the live music that really helped set the vibe!

Our brunch experience was absolutely phenomenal! Every bite was as delightful as the next—the food was simply delicious. The service was unparalleled, with the staff anticipating our needs and offering excellent suggestions. Our server, Britney, made the experience even more special with her detailed and enthusiastic descriptions of the menu, making it so easy to decide what to order. From the warm welcome by the hostess to the attentive GM Carrie, the talented barista, and the opportunity to meet the owner and all three gifted chefs, every aspect of this meal was executed flawlessly. The team created the perfect blend of exceptional service, a beautiful ambiance, a thoughtfully curated menu, and outstanding drinks. This was, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. This is what I call fine dining!

Absolutely phenomenal experience and easily one of my newest favorite restaurants in Houston! Definitely add it to your must visit list for brunch on weekends or a nice cozy dinner during the week. The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, everything made fresh and in house. We had the Iberico Pork rice dish for dinner and the burger, both were so delicious. The staff here is what makes it such a top tier place, every one from hostess to wait staff to management were so accommodating and courteous. I highly recommend trying Fielding’s while you’re in river oaks area and coming back for brunch! Dee was our waitress and she was magnificent. We loved her demeanor and her suggestions were spot on, from beginning to end. Kindness goes a long way and Dee went above and beyond. Thank you to Luis as well for taking care of us during the evening and making sure things went smoothly. The table side flambéed crepes is a must have! So intimate and very exciting, as well as delicious. 5 stars you guys!! Thanks again and we will definitely be back with friends!

Get some steak here. I had the 14oz ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. I was a little hesitant because the steak came out thinner than I was used to but it was so flavorful with every bite. Our waiter, Troy, was also a delight, he was engaging and knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. Shoot, we’d come back just for him. The drinks were good as well, just another great spot in the city of Houston.

She not only helped me navigate the menu with ease but also provided a thorough explanation of each course I was interested in. Her knowledge about the menu was impressive, and she even shared fun facts about the chefs and their unique cooking styles. The manager, Tom, also went above and beyond to make my visit even more enjoyable. His positivity was infectious, and he truly made me feel valued as a guest. Tom took the time to check in personally, ensuring that everything met my expectations and even offering thoughtful recommendations to enhance the experience.

We decided to try this new restaurant in River Oaks and it was a good decision! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Our waiter Javier was outstanding, taking his time to explain the entire menu. We had a Caesar salad, although not traditional, it was unique with an impeccable crunchy texture. The Crab Cannelloni was a little light on crab meat, but delicious, with leeks and a creamy sauce. For the entree, we both had the Branzino, which had a tad too much salt perhaps, but overall tasty with spinach gnocchis and sauce. The skin was crunchy and edible which is not always the case. Overall Fielding’s food execution wasn’t perfect, but they are new and it was very good. We will be back to explore more on their menu.
