I came across this gem while trying out the amazing pizza restaurant next-door. I saw they had a happy hour, which is one of my favorite activities and decided to meet up with a girlfriend to give it a try. Overall, I had a fabulous time and the atmosphere and restaurant is absolutely impeccable. Everything is clean, well laid out and the service was absolutely outstanding. I tried several of the bar bites, including the cheeseburger, pizza, truffle, fries, and fried okra. All were pretty good some a bit better than others but overall, I would say the star of the show was the cocktails. These were expertly crafted, incredibly delicious and presented beautifully

I came here for a birthday dinner and it was exquisite. The service was amazing, JT was so funny and great to speak with. Cary, the owner, was so welcoming and provided us so many details about how Fielding’s River Oaks came to be. You can tell he’s a master of his craft and pays great attention to detail. We were offered a tour of the kitchen and it was truly incredible to see where all the baked goods are prepared every morning and where the executive chef runs a tight ship. Every detail and action in the kitchen is intentional and that seeps into the experience provided. For food we got the sirloin steak, bolognese, dashi broccoli, skillet bread, butter chicken, lamb chop and baby wedge. Everything was so good. I had absolutely no complaints about the food. The cocktails we got were also so scrumptious. We got the midnight mule, dirty martini (Galveston water dirty), golden hour spritz, and frozen watermelon. We also got to try their vodka based Frose which was soooo good. For dessert we got the table side bananas foster and it was a HIT and so fun! The food, drinks, vibes were all worth it!

The customer service is exceptional! I had a reservation for 3 and we were running a little late, it was the end of the night and the kitchen was getting ready to close. I wasn't sure if we would be able to keep our reservation but after we called them, they confirmed they were anticipating us. For dinner, I ate the butter chicken and my drink was the Poisoned Apple (n/a) from their Halloween menu. Everything tasted really good. Brenden was our server. The manager even talked to us and we learned they have live music on certain days. I plan to go back for brunch as well. Definitely a 10/10 experience! Also, Valet parking is offered for $8 and our total for dinner was $165.63 for 3 cocktails & 3 plates.

I recently enjoyed a delightful Sunday brunch at Fieldings with cousins, and it was a fantastic experience! Our server, Tabby, was exceptional—her menu suggestions were spot on, and she took the time to walk us through all the options, which we truly appreciated. The cocktail flight options (mimosas, bloody mary’s and coffee) were impressive, offering a great variety, and the food was simply delicious. We enjoyed the skillet bread (must order) and I had the avocado toast. The love entertainment (he takes requests) added an extra special touch to our visit. Let me not forget to mention the table side-prepared bananas foster. I’m definitely planning to return, especially after the wonderful kitchen tour. I was pleasantly surprised when the restaurant followed up the next day to check on my experience. That thoughtful gesture really stood out to me and confirmed my desire to come back and enjoy another meal there.

This place was pretty good. We got the martini flight and pecan smoked old fashion which were both good. The beurre blanc was fantastic on the oysters and pearls, but it kind of over powers both oyster and caviar - so might be worth getting the beurre blanc on something else. The waiter was very knowledgeable, and great at guiding us through both drink choices and food. For the mains, my hubs and I split the cowboy steak, which is a 32 oz ribeye cut. We ordered medium rare, it’s a big piece of meat cooked over fire so def the center was medium rare, tho the edges were medium well. The steaks come with a side and a sauce - we went with the lobster Mac, which is made with Gnocci, and was absolutely fantastic… I think there was a 1:3 lobster:gnocci ratio… so much lobster flavor! The truffle butter also was fantastic, don’t miss that. Honestly everything here was fantastic, the steak was very well seasoned, if a lil overcooked. I’ll def come back and check out what else they have on the menu

Google
Had the best time at Fielding's River Oaks with my girl!! We tried so many different and delicious things like the A5 Japanese Wagyu Tiraditi, oysters, the crispy okra, the pumpkin ravioli, a ribeye with the best chimichurri I've EVER had!! Oooohhh and that cucumber Hugo Spritz (which is one of my favorites). Everything was done just right and we ate so goood!!!! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Houston and I can't wait to try all the things again!!

Google
This place is absolutely fantastic. There is so much attention to every detail that it’s hard to describe. Everything from the seating, the hand scrub in the bathrooms, to the individual plates and elaborate cocktails has a process that was thought out and designed. Our server Dee is the best server I have come across in quite some time. Ask for her if you can. Her knowledge, skill, and delivery is phenomenal. She serves with confidence and knows the menu. Everything we tasted today was outstanding. The aged steak falls apart as you cut it. The broccoli is the best I’ve ever had, along with the delicious creamed spinach. Don’t miss out on the pork belly appetizer, it’s got such a unique flavor to it. This is a place that guarantees you a great experience through and through. I highly recommend it. I was enjoying myself so much I forgot to take more photos!

Google
This place is top notch! We started out with the fried quail that was suggested to us , the lamb chops and NY Strip and my husband and I loved it! Service was great , they cleared our plates and filled our waters promptly! The staff was kind and considerate throughout the evening. The owner introduced himself to us and was committed to our whole experience at his restaurant! The Atmosphere was calm and warm with Midcentury Coastal elegance. 5 Star🙌🏻 We will be back!

Yelp
Ambiance good. Service Excellent. Don't order the Shrimp Sandwich. 2 shrimp only. Embarrassing Rest of meal was good

Yelp
Wow......just wow. Came here for brunch, not realizing that it is only on weekends. However.......what a wonderful, beautiful, delicious establishment! Service was through the roof excellent. Javier was so delightful and knowledgeable. We went off his recommendations and they did not disappoint. The GM, Jonathan gave us a tour of the private dining area along with the kitchen, which was so very cool to see. This place has only been open for 85 days. CHECK IT OUT, it does not disappoint and experience was above and beyond expectations.

Yelp
Hot new spot! Let's start with the service, the experience was phenomenal. Before we even got to the restaurant, we realized we accidentally made the reservation for the Montana location and live in Houston. The staff was able to work some magic and get us seated, even though they were completely booked for vday. Our waitress Brittany, red hair, was super friendly and gave us great recommendations. We came on Valentine's Day and despite the vday rush, all of the staff really made it special. The food was another level. I LOVED the grilled pulpo. I found myself scraping the bowl to get everything out. My date asked if we needed to order another . He had the steak and it was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. I had the pork bowl, it was good, but out the normal food I would order. So I might not reorder, but I'd say try it if that's your ham. We opted out of desert, but can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Stopped in Saturday night for a little galentine's dinner. We had a reservation, which I would definitely recommend. The restaurant itself is dark, moody, and over all very aesthetically pleasing. The owner is very kind, he walks around to each table to introduce himself. The restaurant is a part of the Fielding's group and fairly new to the area. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. We started off with cocktails and truffle fries. I ordered a French 77 and it was very good. The fries were nice and crispy, they had a good flavor. As an entree I had the Bucatini, it was very good. The sauce had a little spicy kick which was nice and the shrimp was cooked and flavored perfectly. When the owner came up to our table he offered us a tour of the kitchen. My extroverted, enthusiastic friend took him up on the offer. It was a nice quick little tour but they were so busy that I felt awful walking through that kitchen. Overall, it was a great experience I would definitely recommend stopping by and trying them out.

Yelp
I was very impressed with Fielding's brunch. Bread basket- English muffin and coffee cake were amazing!!! I ordered the crab avocado toast- it was good. I also ordered a side of the crispy fingerling potatoes- omg... ONE OF THE BEST POTATOES I've ever had!!!!!!! I'm still drooling over them. Drinks were strong! Service was sooooo awesome! Our waiter always checked on us and we constantly were attended by other servers/managers as well! The decor was open, warm and inviting. I would highly, highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Ambiance is upscale. The service was great, from the hostess to the servers! The food was really good and worth the prices. This was a birthday brunch for my daughter on our mother/daughter trip :) Her steak was cooked just s as she wanted and when they served it to her, the server waited and had her cut into it to ensure it was to her liking, GREAT JOB!

Yelp
First time trying and I thought this place was pretty solid. Staff were amazing 10/10! Food was a mix of good and very good. Got the skillet bread (8/10 very good), crab cannoli (6.5/10 needed a touch of salt), gnochetti ardi added shrimp( 7/10 if you love truffle you'll like this), and finally the bread pudding (7/10 it was good but it definitely was banana forward which I've never really experienced for a bread pudding). Ambience was also really really nice. I've heard they have a very good brunch so I will definitely give the brunch a try!

Yelp
A lovely place to try for brunch or dinner! We came for dinner and definitely plan on coming back for brunch/lunch soon! Prices are extremely reasonable, considering how nice the restaurant is. To start off, we shared the bay scallops, pulpo and crab cannelloni. My absolute favorite was the scallops--delicious! My husband's favorite was the crab cannelloni, but we both agreed the pulpo was decent (quite heavy). We shared a dry-aged NY strip with a side of charcoal-roasted cabbage and truffle fries. Very nicely prepared, but the cabbage stood out, surprisingly! It is definitely an amazing dish! For dessert, we enjoyed the crepes Suzette, which is prepared tableside. It is truly such a lovely dessert, with a decadent chocolate sorbet! Modern, but simply adorned in an elegant fashion, and a great location! Staff is all VERY welcoming and friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious cuisine. The highlight was the Expresso martini, gnoccheti pasta, octopus and the crab cannelloni. I also purchased the hand scrub. If you visit the restroom they have a wonderful hand scrub, soap and lotion that you can purchase as well. Had a fantastic night and experience. Very accommodating and wonderful staff. Will be back.

Yelp
Our drinks were beautiful and tasty. We both had the signature gin with the lighted ice cube. Food was a hit and mix. Our appetizers where pretty to look at and flavors where good Not amazing but good Service was amazing. Our girl (I'm sorry I forgot her name!!) she knew everything and had some suggestions but we didn't go with those. Salads were very soggy. No need to empty the bottle of dressing and the pizza was ok, nothing to rave about Restaurant got crowded after we arrived and noticed they had a couple of booths for 2 so it'll be cute and romantic but also have bigger parties I wish them well! But I don't think we would come back.

Randee R.

Yelp
Breakfast at Fielding's was exceptional. This was our first time to eat here and we will be back without a doubt. . The atmosphere is beautiful, bright inside, server (Javier) was knowledgeable and pleasant, Cary Attar (Founder of Fielding's) mingled with guests. I had the yogurt, granola and berry dish and it was better than any I've ever had elsewhere. Others at my table had crab avocado toast on sourdough bread, Turkish poached eggs with almonds on naan bread. Everything on the menu sounds appetizing and we can't wait to bring friends when we come back as our goal would be to try everything on the menu.

Yelp
This food was pretty good & I have 0 complaints only slight remarks...if I may! Appetizers: the yellowtail & scallops were good but Costco sample size & for the price point...nobody could have expected this, so we also got a Caesar salad, which was amazing! Mains: Bucatini was flawless and the lobster again with the portions (not with the protein) but assortments & this could have been seasoned more! Dessert: madeleine and the chocolate...CHEFS KISS...I could do this alone with dry wine & would be totally happy! I'm not even going to mention the other dessert because this is the one.

Yelp
So if your resolution was to lose wait 2025... just block me! So we went to Fieldings for brunch this morning and let me tell you it was an experience. Its in River Oaks so we had the option to valet or self park in the garage. When we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest host and secondly by our waiter Troy. Kerry the manager came by and checked on us. Brittany another random waitress checked on us and gave recommendations. Troy gave amazing service along with a brief history lesson on his name. We felt extra special. Customer service was a 12 out of 10. Now I will say you must come willing to try new things. This is not your average brunch spot. He got the coffee and I got the mimosa..both good and strong! We got a starter which was the lemon cream cheese pancakes which were highly recommended. They make you want to slap your mama and her mama too! Omg they were amazing. Watch the video and see that maple butter melting over everywhere. The Philly must be the secret. We split the Kimchi chicken and waffle. Also very good with a little spice... and that waffle batter requires little to no syrup. To top everything off Kerry took me on a kitchen tour and I was able to meet the chef and see where the magic happens! Even if the food was mediocre (and it wasnt).. i would still come back just based on the experience.

Yelp
Warm and elevated atmosphere. At first, I didn't feel welcomed walking in by the hostess- things must've just been busy and I felt very offput. Once sat down, though, we had a superb dining experience until the end. Our waiter, JT was impressively knowledgeable about the dishes and provided incredible service. Multiple people throughout the evening came by our table making us feel welcome. Food was not too salty, but creative and harmonious of different flavors. We really enjoyed the branzino! Their dry age steak was not ready yet, and will be in about 2 weeks. Their normal steak was still flavorful and very soft. Our spontaneous date night turned into one of our favorite memories :) also, happy hour daily 3-5pm!

Yelp
Wow, how refreshing of an experience to have amazing service, lovely bathrooms with nice products, and delicious food! I took my sister here for brunch on Sunday and we even met the owner Cary. So nice and even bothered to get to know us! As an interior designer, this place is beautiful. We had the focaccia madam and the lemon ricotta pancakes and both are to die for. Our server Brittany was also amazing. The focaccia got a bit soggy just on the inside a bit maybe from them being a bit pre assembled, but the flavor, live music and service still makes this a 5 in my book. Also potatoes are delicious! Will be back soon!

Yelp
The sopressata pizza is perfectly spicy. My friend had one of the smoky old fashions and the presentation was exceptional plus the drink was on point. Fantastic service! Everyone that served us or stopped by to see how things were going were friendly and welcoming. Also, the Shea Butter in the ladies bathroom smells amazing!

Yelp
Enjoyed brunch at fieldings. Beautiful restaurant with live music sunday at brunch. The mimosa flight was a fun way to start then the carajillo and lemon pancakes were all delicious!!!

Yelp
Service - outstanding. Food - outstanding. Ambiance - really nicely appointed restaurant. We were a little late arriving due to the traffic in the area and called to tell them and they were super accommodating and very nice about it. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and seated immediately. The atmosphere was very nice and there was live music during brunch (a little louder than I prefer). When he stopped there was music piped in and at a much better level for dining during brunch. We tried the bread assortment and all were delicious. We ordered the Crab Avocado Toast, the Chimichurri Steak and Eggs and the Kimchi Chicken and Waffles - all were excellent. The highlight was the steak and eggs. We also tried the mimosa flight and they were tasty. Excellent service from Javier and everyone else in the restaurant. The owner stopped to introduce himself and thank us for dining. A great brunch experience overall! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great ambience! Great service! Great food! The kimchi chicken & waffles was sweet, savory, and spicy. A must try!

Yelp
We had a great lunch at Fielding's! The restaurant is beautiful; service was nice; and the food was very good. I had the spinach salad and thought it was very tasty and had a bite of my friend's pomodoro pizza and thought it was great--the crust was perfect. My other friend had the crispy chicken sandwich and said it was good too. Overall, a very good lunch.

Yelp
Amazing food, attentive service and a beautiful restaurant. So glad it's here in the heart if Houston.

Yelp
Food was great and service was amazing. Alexander provided excellent service to me and my husband! We even came back a few days later to try more food!!! Beautiful location and great for a date night out.

Yelp
10/10 EXPERIENCE!!! My boyfriend and I came here (our first time visit) to celebrate our anniversary and wow, how wonderful!!! The managers, bussers, hostess, & our server Fernando were amazing and took such great care of us!! Fernando was very attentive, knowledgeable, & professional. Even Cary (the owner) took time out of his day to speak with us and give us a special tour of the beautiful restaurant. I loved all of our food choices however I DEFINITELY recommend the quail, potato crisps, skillet bread, & salmon. Thank you so much! We will be back again!

Jeff A.

Yelp
Loved everything about our evening at Fieldings. The staff was incredible, food absolutely delicious and beautiful ambience!! We will be back and can't wait to try brunch.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!! Brittany was a knowledgeable server and so sweet. Food was absolutely delicious! Pictured is the frisée salad with a perfect poached egg on top. We also got the table side crepe which has an amazing history. The chocolate bar is perfect with the raspberry gelato. Will definitely go again and i recommend it 100%

Yelp
I went to brunch after church around 1045 ( No reservations), I had one lemon cheesecake pancake. It was OK, but really didn't have a strong taste of lemon, which I typically love. I also had the soft eggs with the salmon and capers. It was a little salty (probably because of the capers) , but I did like the flavor. Now the espresso... Was top-tier. That was the best part of my meal. I had a latte with vanilla flavoring. Overall, a good vibe. There was soft music playing on Sunday. Great place to have brunch.
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Food, service, Sunday brunch, live music, ambience, bathroom amenities. Fieldings has it all.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal experience and easily one of my newest favorite restaurants in Houston! Definitely add it to your must visit list for brunch on weekends or a nice cozy dinner during the week. The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, everything made fresh and in house. We had the Iberico Pork rice dish for dinner and the burger, both were so delicious. The staff here is what makes it such a top tier place, every one from hostess to wait staff to management were so accommodating and courteous. I highly recommend trying Fielding's while you're in river oaks area and coming back for brunch! Dee was our waitress and she was magnificent. We loved her demeanor and her suggestions were spot on, from beginning to end. Kindness goes a long way and Dee went above and beyond. Thank you to Luis as well for taking care of us during the evening and making sure things went smoothly. The table side flambéed crepes is a must have! So intimate and very exciting, as well as delicious. 5 stars you guys!! Thanks again and we will definitely be back with friends!

Yelp
Walked in with no resy for Sunday brunch so I wasn't surprised that the wait time was long but to my delight there were plenty of seats at the bar. Bartenders were very pleasant, got the order in promptly. Had a bourbon spiked coffee it was decent but probably won't crave it in the future. About 1/2 hr later wondering why the food hasn't arrived, the waitress let us know the kitchen was backed up. Same time a lady comes to order a drink at the bar and says she's at a table but they never brought her wine. About 45 mins in with no food I started to get irate and while the servers did address the mishap it took another 15 mins before only half the food came out. When it did, it looked superb but the bland flavors and lukewarm temps let me know it was being rushed in the process and then just sat there bc they were so busy. I tried the waffle, the sausage, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. The waffle was overly sweet after being dipped in sugar to give it a crispy texture and also covered in syrup, it was just too much. The bacon was more like ham slices with no crisp or texture reminiscent of what bacon should be. The eggs potatoes and sausage were hella bland and came out cold so that plate was sitting for a while. What topped the disappointment was me so excited to try the ricotta pancakes, which took another 20 minutes to arrive after all the other food. After one bite I had to spit them out bc they were undercooked and unacceptable. They also covered them in syrup to disguise the foul. So the whole meal was a miss for me. But the mgr was very kind and understanding so I walked away with no hard feelings. Overall the ambience was nice and they have a guitarist during brunch. I'd say maybe give them time to work out the kinks and I may try again in the summer.

Yelp
Such a great experience! Sat at the bar and Darius the bartender was awesome! Good drinks , delicious apps (we had the Octopus & the cauliflower hummus ) & beautiful atmosphere! I've heard the butter chicken entree can't be beat! Definitely give Fieldings a try!

Aimee E.

Yelp
Visited a second time for brunch and it was as delicious as the first! They also had live music, which was a pleasant surprise. Such a fun atmosphere. Great service. Our group enjoyed a bloody mary, paris spritz, and the emerald margarita. Also, the soft scrambled, ham and cheese omelette, and the chimichurri steak. We would recommend it all but the steak was hands down the favorite. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
It's a beautiful restaurant. My husband got the cod and he enjoyed it. However, I got the radiatori pasta, and it tasted like it was boiled in beef broth. Of course it comes with beef as well. We decided to pack that up. But after we told our waiter to pack it, he seemed to have forgotten so we reminded him. He came back saying they accidentally threw it out and NEXT time we would get a free dessert. How would you remember us next time? All that money down the drain. There will not be a next time.

Brandon J.

Yelp
Amazing food, and service! Staff was nice, and I felt like a VIp! Brunch food was out of this world!

Emily M.

Yelp
The food was awesome and the wait staff is very attentive! A beautiful space too. Definitely recommend and I'll be back :)

Yelp
Immaculate service. You are not forgotten when you are there. Cup was never empty, table was always clean, food was always good. I'll be back.

Rebekah H.

Yelp
If I could give this place a million out of 10 I would! The food, service and ambiance was beyond amazing! Literally I can't even explain it you, you just have to come and try it!

David S.

Yelp
Love this restaurant! My favorite place in the Woodlands to relax and unwind. The burgers are topnotch. Upscale feel and still comfortable to go to if you are dressed down.

Avery T.

Yelp
Amazing service and even more amazing food!! The second I entered the door I knew it was going to be an amazing meal and Fielding's river oaks delivered. The vibe of the whole restaurant was a 10/10 will be going back again very soon!!! New staple resultant to go to with friends/family/date night!!!!

Joy J.

Yelp
Brunch today was phenomenal! The Food, Waitstaff, and ambiance were top tier. Really enjoyed the live music. What an experience. We sat at the bar and Lisa took really good care of us. Visits from Cary, Chef Edel and Executive Chef Brandon were the icing on the cake! Will definitely be back.

Donna L.

Yelp
Very impressive new fine dining..Loved the ambiance. We were regulars at the Fielding's in The Woodlands & when we saw that they opened a "fine dining" in River Oaks we were very excited & it did not disappoint. JT the general manager gave us a tour of the kitchen & restaurant & explained about the all the steaks that were offered, etc. He stopped by our table a couple times throughout our meal to make sure everything was good & to engage in conversation. That goes a long way. Our waitress Tabitha was amazing...we made a connection right away. We can't say enough good things about her. The only negative feedback & suggestion that we gave to JT & Tabitha is to serve the Cowboy Steak on hot plates. They cut it tableside, but by the time it was cut & served, it was lukewarm & then not having hot plates made it cool down even faster than it should have. Other than that, this fine dining restaurant is AMAZING!! Thank you JT & Tabitha for great customer service.
