"Does dad have a soft spot for Messi, the son he secretly wishes he had? Well, this spot has a giant mural of La Pulga outside (and one of Maradona in the back patio). On days when Argentina is playing, Fiorito has the energy of a sports bar, but when no important balls are being kicked around, you’re still guaranteed an affordable churrasco. The no-fuss steakhouse looks like it was designed by a dad. Possibly one from Buenos Aires. The walls are covered in even more Argentine soccer memorabilia. "It doesn’t take a detective to figure out that Fiorito is an Argentinian spot. Their logo incorporates Diego Maradona’s jersey number and the very good menu includes quite a lot of beef. But you don’t have to just eat red meat here. They also have some tasty octopus, butternut squash soup, and quite possibly our favorite empanada in town. It’s called the empanada de choclo, and it’s a circular little disk filled with a stretchy center of cheese and sweet corn. Order it." - ryan pfeffer
"Fiorito is a great Argentinian restaurant in Little Haiti, and almost always the right answer for a laidback walk-in dinner involving wine, red meat, and murals of Argentine fútbol gods. Fiorito has indoor seating and an outdoor patio—both firmly within the realm of super cute. You can get a juicy steak here for $40 or less. And bottles of wine go for as low as $40.
