On the Grid : Five Horses Tavern

"Five Horses Tavern is one of the few modern pub style restaurants in the South End. Built on craft beers from around the world offering 36 rotating drafts and 80 bottles. The food is locally sourced modern American comfort food with consistent vegetarian options as well. Outdoor patio is a major bonus, but if it's full up, there are plenty of seats inside." - Adam&Co.

Boston’s Best Shakshuka | Eater Boston

"At the Somerville location of Five Horses Tavern (but not at its younger sibling in the South End), shakshuka is on both the brunch and the dinner menu, featuring a Moroccan lamb merguez ragout that has a bit of a kick to it, along with harissa, poached egg, crispy haloumi cheese, green chile sauce, and grilled flatbread on the side." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Vibrant yet not so noisy to hinder conversations. Serving staff readily catering to our needs. Have been meeting up with coworkers here for lunch meetings and socializing after work for years. Has been consistently a great place for all party sizes.

Google
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The chicken wings which were $30 for 13 of them tasted like they were frozen for a year. The sauce was awful and so was the dipping sauce they included with it. Our burger was acceptable. Not great. The server dropped our food off and never came back again. Never asked if I would like another drink or if we needed anything with our food. The kicker was when we got the bill. There was a service charge of 4% Hospitality Admin Fee added to the bill. When I asked the manager what it was for she said since Covid they decided to add a fee for the kitchen staff. Really?? I'm sorry, you just charged me $28 for a burger and $30 for freezer burned wings and you want me to pay your kitchen staff??? I told her I wasn't paying it and she walked away acting like she really didn't care. That was their policy. We will never go back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Google
Street corn nachos might be my new favorite appetizer, absolutely fantastic. Perfectly fried, very crispy wings and the hot honey are to die for. The buffalo with a spicy aoili was a delicious twist on regular wings. Others loved the chicken Satay Bowl, steak n cheese sandwich and burger. I was so stuffed from the street corn nachos, I brought my whole burrata flatbread home! Service was wonderful, our waitress Paige was great! I highly recommend!!!

Google
Awesome spot, great vibe, music, atmosphere, service, food and beverage are all superb! We always order the Burger - fantastic! and the Caprese grilled cheese (w/ chicken) - double fantastic! All the food is always excellent. Great selection of beers, (and ciders), whiskies, scotches and great stuff on their drink menu. Bar staff really know their stuff and are excellent muddlers, for those who like an old fashion. Staff always friendly, quick, and great with great recommendations for things to try. We always greatly enjoy the Five Horses Tavern. We give it five stars... four moons, and a comet with a million mile tail.

Google
Can't argue with the spectacular, ever changing beer list, which includes many hard-to-get draughts and bottles. I saw two each from Hill Farmstead and Trillium on a recent evening, plus many more. Also decent food, and the cornbread in particular is otherworldly. I enjoy that they only have tater tots as a fried potato side.

Google
Just be careful on your order. I am not super clear on whisky types and accidentally ordered two $60 drinks. Unfortunately the staff did not let me know before the bill came and noted the manager was supposed to have come check with us ahead of time. Food was good though- great cornbread.

Google
Everything we had was unbelievably delicious. The pizzas were so amazing, my son kept giving us a thumbs up after every bite :) you can turn a mocktail into a cocktail by adding your favorite shot. Variety of beer flights. Excellent service, friendly staff.

Google
My partner and I came here for a work function. The staff were attentive and friendly. When we called ahead to ensure they had food that would fit my partner's dietary restrictions the gent we spoke to not only helped us find something safe for her to eat, he also passed out along to someone who would be on shift the evening of our visit (who turned out to be the manager). As soon as we spoke to the waiter, he acknowledged our requests, confirmed the selections, and took our order. The whole experience was generally great, the only concern I really had here was the accessibility; the elevator to the restrooms evidently required the manager to operate, which was somewhat tedious as well as socially and physically uncomfortable. If staff is required for safety reasons or whatever, it would be nice if any staff could operate it, instead of having to ask them to get the manager and then having to wait for the manager (to her credit she was prompt and friendly; it's just the process itself that feels like an unnecessary obstacle to accessibility).

Yelp
Great spot! We love coming here on New Year's Day to enjoy brunch. The mimosa flight is a favorite of mine, and my husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary. He loved the Shakshuka! It was his first time trying it, and he'll definitely get it again. I had biscuits and gravy. I loved the gravy, but the biscuit was a bit too dense for me. Our server was friendly, and I always love the atmosphere here.

Yelp
Came here for brunch to meet up with my cousin who lives nearby. I made a reservation online so that part was easy. My favorite part was the mimosa flights. So fun to try the different flavors! Very cute looking too. My cousin got the chicken and waffles and seemed satisfied. Husband got the shakshuka and didn't feel full or impressed so he also got the chia yogurt pudding and liked that. I got the smoked salmon plate and likewise wasn't a fan. Unlikely to return for the food but I did like the mimosas.

Yelp
I had a really great time here!! They were able to manage a big group well, the staff was amazing, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend coming here with a group of friends or even just as a couple. Cornbread: 10/10 This cornbread is out of this world. It came out hot and the middle was sponges and fluffy while the edges were crispy. It wasn't dry at all and the flavor was amazing. Shepherds Pie: 9.5/10 This was fantastic! The portion size is very large, and it comes in a large ramekin. The meat is very juicy and flavorful, and the layer of mashed potatoes is the perfect amount for the meat ratio. Overall this was one of the best I've had. I love how they melt cheese on top too but it was almost a little too much cheese you lost the mashed potatoes. Fried chicken salad: 8/10 The fried chicken in this salad is pretty good. The chicken is pretty flat leaving a nice ratio of meat to crispy exterior. The chicken didn't come out soggy and it wasn't dry. My one big issue was the salad was so bad. The leaves were absolutely drenched in dressing and there honestly wasn't enough lettuce for the ratio of dressing and chicken. Still a good option just not the best. Tater Tots: 0/10 Throwing this out here because I love tater tots and these were disgusting. They tasted like they had been freezer burned or gone bad and still served anyways. You could taste how old they were. They were fried nicely but the taste was gross. Please fix haha. There are TVs everywhere and the vibe here is good. I would definitely come back if I needed pub food!

Yelp
Five Horses Tavern is a great spot for brunch! I haven't been there for lunch or dinner, but it seems like the type of spot that would be fun any time of day. Compared to some other brunch spots in the Boston area, it wasn't too busy, which was nice to see, but it also wasn't the best out there. In terms of drinks, I wasn't overly impressed. I get the sense they're better with the sports bar vibe than with the cocktails. My Paloma was a bit watery, but I'm not sure if that was just because of the ice. For food, I had the Shakshuka, which was delicious. I loved the flavor of the spicy lamb, which absolutely hit the spot! My friends also enjoyed their dishes, which looked pretty solid. Next time you're looking for brunch in Davis Square, check this place out.

Yelp
Five Horses has pub-style dining in Davis Square. The interior has a lively vibe with a buzzing bar area and a close-table dining room. We sat outside at the streetery, which had a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Good food, good drinks, good service. Prices are fair; there was an extra random charge for around $4 for something, maybe a leftover fee from covid dining days, who knows, but frankly it wasn't enough to make a deal over. I would go again on a nice day, inside is probably fun to watch local sports.

Yelp
Staff is great, cocktails are delicious! Apps and entrees were fantastic, as was our server, Jess.

Yelp
While visiting family we went for brunch earlier this month. I'm not usually a brunch person but the service. and food were great (the only thing I didn't like was the bar tables and the high chairs). I had the Shakshuka, which was delicious. The Breakfast Club was also tasty. The Bloody Mary flight was a fun idea: the flights were tequila, vodka, gin and bourbon. Adults and kids will find a good amount of options (and quite a vegetarian-friendly menu).

Rickey S.

Yelp
Shady hidden fees added to bill. Had an expensive beer only to have some made up few added to bill. I think it was called a hospitality fee and it was like 5%. Bartender explained it was something they started after the pandemic. I explained I would not be back. It's like shady airline practices.

Yelp
Very family friendly. Usual bar food and good beer list. Great neighborhood in Davis square

Yelp
I saw great reviews about this place so thought I'd give it a shot! I specifically appreciated some of the unique options on the menu including the power bowl, which I thoroughly enjoyed due to its flavorful ingredients (black beans, edamame, sweet potato, tofu). Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations. I also enjoyed the ambiance, not too fancy but not too casual. Great spot for a date or night or get together with friends!

Yelp
I came here on Easter Sunday for brunch. I was with a party of 10, so we made a reservation. We were seated promptly in a large booth. I ordered the Southern Comfort, which was sausage gravy, a biscuit, 2 sunny side up eggs, and fried chicken. The sausage gravy was the best part; everything else about it was just okay. The biscuit wasn't particularly buttery or flakey, and the fried chicken was not crisp at all. How could it be when it's bathing in gravy? I didn't really understand why it was included in the dish. The best part about our meal was our waitress. She was patient with us and super nice. I wasn't too impressed with my order, but mostly everyone else in my party liked what they got. IMO, skip the brunch menu and come for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Had a great lunch, everything very tasty, prepared to perfection! The freshly baked chocolate cookie and ice cream dessert was to die for! Ambiance very nice with appealing decor and very clean! Paige our server was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others!

Yelp
They did everything right when they designed the interior spaces, and there are numerous spaces, so as large as it is it always feels intimate and welcoming. The bartenders, especially Jake, are top notch - true professionals. I have to say, my real reaon for writing this review is the Shepards Pie. It's one of my favorite dishes so I've had it all over Metro Boston and Five Horses delivers the best. It has flavor (usually bland Irish cooking everywhere else), and lots of it. Best with a perfectly poured Guiness. Enjoy!

Yelp
There's a reason we continue to return here for each Galentine's Day Brunch! I'm glad that they are able to accommodate a reservation for a larger group in Davis square. This year after always yearning I finally gave in and splurged for the mimosa flight at $19! I love the adorable 4 glasses. I didn't even ask what the flavors of the day were but it looks like it was probably: Blood Orange, Green Apple, OJ and Pineapple. I'm glad I splurged even though understandably it was more expensive than my Southern Comfort meal. I've ordered this meal before in previous years and always enjoyed the gravy and biscuit. The chicken also came in a generous portion. I wanted to make sure I ate enough to pair with the drink so I probably didn't even need the black bean hash on the side, which was also excellent! The service here is always great and they are fantastic separating our individual orders onto separate checks, which can always be a pain for large groups. An added bonus is that they are also usually pros at taking the group photo of the long table to ensure that everyone is visible in the pic! If you're looking for a cozy and tasty brunch spot this is always a great option!

Yelp
The first time has been there. I like the souther comfort a lot, the gravy is not too salty, very creamy. Recommended! One thing is that the restaurant charges 4% hospitality admin fee....

Yelp
Menu has a perfect amount of variety and the food is really delightful. The flavors and portions are spot on. The beer selection is fantastic if you are into micro brews. My favorite thing on the menu? Fried chicken salad. The tenders are fan.tas.tic

Yelp
Love this spot for a casual, reliable meal. Their menu is relatively simple but you can trust that no matter what you order, you're going to leave satisfied. I visited for Sunday brunch with a group of 7 and we were given a nice, semi-private table in an alcove in the back. Our waitress was great and service was pretty quick throughout the entire meal. We started with the donut holes, which were really more of a deep fried funnel-cake-tasting sort of situation - I probably wouldn't order them again. I did have a delicious vodka Bloody Mary which I ordered extra spicy. I was excited to see that they use horseradish to spice it up instead of just adding whatever hot sauce they have on hand. For my entree I went with the breakfast tacos and a side of harsh browns. Both were great and the portions were huuuuge across the board, we almost all had leftovers at the end. A couple other people at the table had waffles of some kind which were good, but not great. Everything else was pretty much what you would expect from a place like this. This spot definitely has a tavern vibe to it, but I'd say the food is one step up from your typical bar fare. All in all it was a great choice for a family meal with options for everyone. Would totally visit again, just don't expect anything too fancy or creative from this place.

Susan H.

Yelp
WOW! The cornbread appetizer and salmon main dish were outstanding. The service was spot on. We also loved the decor and our window seat. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us! This was our first visit. We will be back. A plus!

Yelp
Great food, great price! Came here for an early Saturday dinner and place was packed! There were no tables available, but we took a seat at the bar as there was some space. We were promptly greeted by a kind bartender who gave us plenty of time to decide what to order and answer any of our questions. Their actual dinner menu is a little underwhelming and nothing really stood out so we went with an appetizer, drinks and that's it. We also went with the seasonal menu as that looked the most interesting. The drink was really good! Truly tastes like what it's named after - the apple was quite strong as well as a hint of cinnamon. It honestly reminded me a bit of Fireball, but was much more reasonable. The tots were fantastic!! I love crispy tater tots and the topping really brought it all together - the textures, the flavors, everything about this dish was perfect. I can't wait to go back to order it again, honestly. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. I'm not sure if I'd come for a full meal, but their snacks and drinks are amazing!
google avatar

Cory B.

Yelp
Great ambiance and fast service. The feta dip was amazing and the classic burger was a close second.

Hunter D.

Yelp
One of the best brunches I have had in a long time. The restaurant is very dark leather and wood inside, quite classy really, but it was so nice out we sat outside. The French toast chicken sandwich is as decadent as it sounds, the biscuit was shockingly delicious, and the bloody mary flight was a total treat. Our service wasn't so great, we had to get up and find our own cutlery and I think they refilled our water once in the entire hour we were there, but the food and drinks alone are reasons to return.

Jayson C.

Yelp
We have always had a passion for Davis Square in the Camberville area of the Boston Metro - with Jayson having lived in the Square, and both of us having visited there on numerous occasions throughout the years! In addition to Davis, another passion we have always had (maybe Kell more than Jay) is for brunch...it is the most important Gay meal of the day (Lol). So, naturally, somewhere we have always combined those is at one our Davis favs - "Five Horses Tavern!" Since it was dinner - and since - due to our nature - we just grabbed a seat at their warm and intimate bar, we couldn't wait to try out their Winter Signature cocktails! ESPRESSO MARTINI - Vanilla Vodka, Hazelnut Espresso Vodka, & Bailey's Grady's Cold Brew! CANTINA TURNER - Tequila Blanco, Mango, Passionfruit, Lime, & Ginger Spice Syrup! BLACK BEE - Gin, Blackberry Honey Sage Syrup, Lemon, & Barenjager Honey Liqueur! WINTER MULE - Sobieski Citron, Passionfruit, Cinnamon, Apple Cider, & Lime! These were all such good cocktails, made ably by our bartender (who must've have run up and down the two tiered bar stairs over two dozen times! That's one way to to get your steps in!) However, the Winter offerings - such as the 'Winter Mule' and the 'Spiked Cider' guarantee this will be a Winter dinner spot for us for years to come! But cocktails alone do not (usually) make a dinner - so join us in our next post as we dive into some excellent dinner offerings! Shakshuka anyone?? After a long day out and about in the cold, and a few rounds of delicious wintery signature cocktails, it was time to grab a bite to each at one of our Davis Square favorites, "Five Horses Tavern!" Since we visited just after the Christmas weekend, we decided to keep our fare light, while indulging in one of our favorites: SHAKSHUKA - Spicy Moroccan Lamb Ragout, Harissa. Poached Egg, Crispy Haloumi, Z'huh Chili Sauce, & Fresh Baked Pita! HAUSMADE PRETZEL - Soft Pretzel, Salt, Beer Cheese, & Spicy Mustard! The 'Shakshuka' is by far one of the standout items on the menu, and one of the top brunch items in the Boston Metro Area! Absolutely delicious - though we have heard rumors through the grape vine that this might no longer be on the menu *fingers crossed* that isn't true This is such a great spot to grab some excellent drinks, great food, while enjoying some great decor (gotta love a beer tap chandelier ) and Davis Square people watching! This will be a bar we will be frequenting often when we move back up this summer! Plus, we can't wait to check out this South End location too! Be aware: this location can be very busy at times and tables are generally close together in spots. Have you been to "Five Horses Tavern" - either in Davis Square or the South End? What were your favorites? Let us know!

Yelp
Have only had brunch here so far - ordered take out once and been in once. I'm a fan! The drinks and food are both pretty good. The restaurant is aesthetically nice and well maintained and the staff is great. They accommodated our group of 6 with friendly attention and well timed table visits. We've tried the breakfast pizza, shakshuka, Belgian waffle, chimichanga, and breakfast tacos. The shakshuka and breakfast pizza were both amazing but the rest is just good. No complaints, just nothing mind blowing. I'll definitely be back for dinner and drinks sometime soon and could definitely see potential for my opinion to go from like 4.2 to 5 stars.

Barbara P.

Yelp
Enjoyed the welcoming staff, atmosphere, and great service from our waitress Paige! The food was fresh, delicious and the beer was cold! The cookie and ice cream dessert was scrumptious! Excellent experience!

Chuck C.

Yelp
Beware of this restaurant if you have food allergies. We informed our server of a sesame allergy. My daughter's salmon dish came out covered in sesame seeds. It was attributed to a chef mistake but there was clearly a lack of inspection by the waiter or manager which is typical in allergy aware restaurants

Yelp
On my search to find good eats in Boston I stumbled across this place as one of the few places that stay open pass 8pm. I know folks will look at this rating and wonder why it rated so low.. I'll tell you, The food! Can I get a little flavor with my Sammy and I should've read some of the post... Tots!!! What are we 3? The website showed a yummy looking sandwich with golden fries. The sandwich did look good but, I was told they no longer served fries. Disappointed. None of the signature cocktails hit either. Ok, time for the the good, the bad and the ugly on five horses. The Good- very friendly and welcoming staff. The place would be great for watching a game. The Bad- Food was tasteless and the cocktails are a pass The ugly- the website should be updated to depict what is actually available. "Don't hit me with no bait and switch!"

Josh B.

Yelp
Excellent beer selection, excellent mai tais, and absolutely top tier service from Thomas. This bar has been here forever and is better than ever

Yelp
Five Horses Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants in Davis Square. I always recommend this place to anyone new to town. Everything on their menu is delicious. They have a unique spin on American favorites like Fried Chicken Salad, but don't leave here without trying their cornbread which is melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Their tacos are also to die for. The service is excellent and the ambiance is classy and low key. This is a nice spot for brunch too- be sure to try the Huevos Rancheros!

Nick M.

Yelp
Oh good lord they've started playing country music. Might have to boycott. Food and beer is good otherwise.
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Their brunch menu is excellent. The service is prompt and the patio outside is great when it is nice out. I was frustrated by the extra service charges they have added - definitely not cheap and may not be necessarily worth the money.
google avatar

Meg C.

Yelp
Solid place for beers and a bite. Have had their tacos for dinner and chicken and waffles for brunch, both enjoyable. The chicken and waffles passed my expectations, the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned and the cheddar chive waffle was savory and soft. Great beer menu, I tend to gravitate to Maine Beer Co or Fiddlehead brew. The spicy bloody mary is solid and the coffee is surprisingly good.
google avatar

Anastasia L.

Yelp
My ten year old asked me to post that this is a five star brunch. The portions are huge and it leans toward fried foods (especially chicken) but that's not necessarily a bad thing- just know what you're in for! We liked the donut holes (especially the 10 year old), I loved the breakfast sandwich (which has a much twee-er name but anyway), and she enjoyed the waffles.
google avatar

Reagan W.

Yelp
Came for brunch and left absolutely stuffed! Great atmosphere and good for last minute reservations. Feels like southern style cooking met east coast flair. The tater tots are delicious, and the cornbread is a MUST! Great biscuits and gravy as well. The skillet dessert was extremely disappointing. Overall, good brunch spot but there's better out there.
google avatar

Jen E.

Yelp
I was looking for a quick bite in the city and found this place on Yelp. From the pictures and reviews it looked pretty good. My friend and I got seats at the bar and immediately the bar tender looks unhappy. He was literally throwing the dishes in the dish bin so loud it sounded like glass was breaking. He got us our drinks in a timely manner but towards the end he just went missing. Our food took quite some time to come out and I have to say it was pretty disappointing. It was luke warm, and it was horribly plated. It seriously looks like someone took a TV dinner and put it on a plate. There was absolutely nothing special about it, and honestly I could make dinner at home that looks and tastes better than these dishes. If I had any clue that this was what I was getting I wouldn't have come. It's getting two stars because the drinks were good, but everything else needs improvement.
google avatar

Julianne S.

Yelp
Brunch was delicious. We originally had a reservation for a party of 7, and while 1 couldn't make it and 1 was late, the staff was very accommodating. Highly recommend the donut holes to start and the Tavern Breakfast for a classic breakfast. Only giving 4 stars because we were sat close to the entrance and it got chilly every time the door opened.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
The Five Horses Tavern location in Somerville, MA is an affordable brunch option for classic comfort dishes and fun southwest influences. Be sure to try the brunch tacos with pork belly, pickled onions, and spicy mayo along with the brunch tots which are smothered in sausage gravy and roasted red peppers
google avatar

Yelp
RODENTS IN PLAIN SIGHT. Came in with our family for dinner based on reviews. Shortly after order a mouse comes walking out in plain sight, perusing around looking for its next meal. Manager made no attempt to comp or make ammends other than to say sorry we are trying. What happens when when the lights go out, and what's in the food being served?
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
The ambience of this place was great. They were playing early 2000s jams all night long! The fried chicken Sammy has real honey drizzled on top, along with a lemon aioli-- which actually worked really well together. The rose sangria has a strong grapefruit flavor-- which I love! Recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
A fun lively place with friendly staff. Food is consistently very good especially the fried chicken dishes! Lots of great beers & cocktails. Love the sangria too!

Yelp
We had such a great time last night! In the past I had only been here for drinks. It was so refreshing to finally come here for a meal. The atmosphere for dinner at Five Horses Tavern was very comforting and warm. I wish the fireplace was on because that would have really warmed us up after running away from the brisk fall weather outside. I ordered: 1.) Grilled Brie Cheese 2.) Cup of Tomato Soup 3.) Corn Bread 4.) Apple Crumble Can you tell only comfort menu items were ordered?! The food was delicious. I highly recommend ordering the corn bread as an appetizer. It is a little thin but it is delicious and comes with a sweet and salty butter to lather with. The tomato soup was delicious and creamy- and the cup portion was still a generous portion. The grilled cheese was delicious especially with Brie cheese- I would have done without the greens that come in it though. And finally the apple crumble- not the traditional apple crumble but definitely worth ordering and extremely satisfying!
google avatar

Tuli S.

Yelp
I come here all the time for drinks & dinner. Always great service and food! I love the jalapeño mashed potatoes and the drunken wings. I've also had the loaded tots, fried chicken, and squash pizza. I came by last week with my coworkers and we all staggered in at different times. My friend asked for a table and there was no issue waiting for the rest of the party. Usually, I end up waiting for the whole party at other places so this was nice! Little pricey for dinner but not bad for sharing apps!

Laura M.

Yelp
Burger was great with the "dirty cheese" as was the GF beer and the service! I will be back!

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're in Davis square. Great for lunch, brunch or dinner.

Yelp
Got seated right by the fireplace, to the left. Had the foolish pleasure- with gin, prosecco, grapefruit, and rosemary syrup. Nice way to ring in the new year. Huge beer list.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
With a bit of time on my hands, I wandered into FIve Horses to get a frosty beverage and to get out of the cold. It's a nice spot with a large selection of draft and bottled beers including many micros. Service was good, they didn't mind that I took up a table for an hour nursing my one beer. Comfortable, quiet, good looking platters made their way past me. I'll have to get back to here to eat!

Yelp
Had my first indoor dining experience at Five Horse's and felt so so safe. The tables were really spread out and all the staff wore masks. They are doing indoor dining right and I will definitely be back! We came by during Oktoberfest and they had cute decorations up and a few German style beers and meals on the menu. I had the Vegan burger and it was filling and delicious. The patty was made out of quinoa and edamame and was super flavorful. I also enjoyed a side of tater tots to go with it. Other meals people ordered were the vegan patty on the power bowl if you are looking for a high protein option with less simple carbs and a special bratwurst they had for Oktoberfest. A quick bar meal but the whole thing was delicious and I will be back.

I wrote the same review for their South End location I like the food here. The drinks are good. Pretty much anything you'd want in a gastropub and the atmosphere is awesome. But I can't justify coming here anymore out of principle. With every bill there is a mandatory hospitality fee applied. The hospitality fee started as a covid fee to help keep the business afloat. I was totally on board with paying that during the pandemic when the restaurant was legally prevented from filling all seats. Those restrictions are gone but the fee still remains. So I'm done. Give that money back to your servers.

Yelp
Interesting that the receipt included a $3 PPE fee...(this restaurant provided no extra PPE equipment). The host wiped down 3/4 chairs at most. No mention of a PPE fee on the website or at the restaurant. Mac and cheese was delicious! The Honey Hot wings were unfortunately, very dry. They were overcooked, had barely any sauce on them, and didn't even have a slight kick to them. My friends said their drinks were not strong. The pizzas were also a bit oily. Our waitress was super sweet and apologized that my lemonade was very watered down.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place for lunch. We came in when it wasn't crowded, so I can't say how attentive/fast the service was since we were one of the only ones there. I ordered a cider mai tai and it was great! It tasted just like a glass of sweet apple cider. Definitely better than some other seasonal drinks I've had that were not sweet enough or watered down. This was not! Food came out fast. It took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted because they have plenty of vegan/gluten free options. I ordered a veggie bomb pizza. Full of veggies! The vegan parmesan was great!
