London’s Best Steak Restaurants | Where to Eat Steak in London | Eater London

"It started with the £10 steak, but Flat Iron deserves praise for quietly and subtly reinventing multiple elements of its offering, from extending its range of cuts to revamping its cooking process, now employing a plancha-like set up across a grill for maximum searing and brushing its steaks with a mixture of Normandy butter and aged beef drippings. For a spontaneous steak, this is the place to come." - Adam Coghlan

9 Best Sustainable Meat Restaurants in London | Nose-to-Tail Butchers | Eater London

"Following the success of two tiny restaurants in Soho, Flat Iron opened a third, larger, site near Covent Garden at the end of 2015. Four additional sites have since opened. As well as promising better chances of snagging a table, the Covent Garden restaurant is also capacious enough to house an on-site butchery, preparing the brand’s eponymous steaks, cut from the feather blade and costing just £10, as well as a selection of daily-changing larger cuts scrawled onto a blackboard." - Jonathan Hatchman

The famous flat iron steak is very flavorful, juicy, and tender. They offered 4 sauces, and I tried the peppercorn and smoked chili mayo. The mayo is very smoky and rich in flavor, definitely better than the peppercorn. The Mac and cheese is very good as well, El dente. But the best is the crispy bone marrow garlic mash...... oh my goodness! What a heavenly flavor. A Must have item.

Google
This steakhouse is quite well-known usually you’d need to book in advance, but the day I went, I only booked 30 minutes ahead 😅 Luckily, there was a table available, so I got to try it. I liked the popcorn they served as a complimentary snack a fun little touch. But honestly, I wasn’t too impressed with the steak I ordered… it was really dry 😅😂 One thing I did enjoy was the cute little knife they give you with your meal you can exchange it for ice cream after your steak. When I redeem it, I wanted to film a video of the staff making the ice cream, but they firmly told me Do not record the video😅 That kind of killed the ice cream mood for me (a bit😅😅)

It’s all in the name. Delicious flat iron steak is the star of this restaurant and menu. The menu features a variety of delectable sides for you to choose from along with a few beef alternates if you decide the steak is not for you. This is a cute and intimate restaurant with industrial décor and a relaxed vibe. The quality of food and service is exceptional. The staff were friendly and efficient. They made great suggestions and were extremely attentive. The portions sizes were generous, and the food was fresh, appetizing and prepared to perfection. Amazing food and a great selection of drinks and cocktails. Everything we tried was delicious Homemade Beef Dripping Chips, Crispy Bone Marrow Garlic Mash and the Truffled Macaroni and Cheese (which I could not get enough of). The only downside, you will not find dessert in the menu. However, along with your bill, they present you with mini meat cleaver tokens to trade in for complimentary ice cream when leaving. From the popcorn on the table to nosh while you wait, to the meat mini meat cleavers in place of knives, and the ice cream upon exit, Flat Iron is an experience that I highly recommend.

Google
Flat Iron is always a go-to spot for steak! The price has gone up to £15, but it's still well worth it. The sides are a must — they perfectly complement the steak. We were lucky to walk in with just a 5-minute wait. The steaks were cooked to perfection and incredibly juicy.

Google
The food was delicious, and I would recommend the steak, mushroom sauce, and truffle Mac & Cheese. They greet you with popcorn and farewell you with ice cream. Also, the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Google
Loved this place!! I wish Canada had one. We were on vacation visiting London and came across this place while walking around. Sounded good so we dined in. It was very busy, but luckily we got a table. We shared a steak with mushroom sauce, and the mashed potatoes which were soooo good! We loved everything. At the end we even got free ice cream! I’ve never loved a soft serve Ice cream more than this one. It was Tahitian style? Never heard of it but I don’t want anything but that again. If I ever visit London again, you better believe I’ll be back!

Google
I've visited here a few weeks ago. The stake was so delicious and sides were so fantastic! If you go there, you must try creamed spinach and truffled macaroni cheese. It was really good! And also they serve ice cream for dessert.

Google
Small restaurant but still very well arranged. Steak excellent, plus accompanying vegetables varied and of excellent taste. Not expensive and well worth the price including gratuity for attentive service. Worth another visit for sure.

Yelp
First the food: -steak is great and cooked to whatever you prefer - garlic mash 10/10 - side salad 10/10 - macaroni 10/10 Service: always great, we've been 10+ times and never had bad service Ambiance: chic and cozy (perfect for date night) Overall: go for the food, but enjoy the vibes along the way! Don't forget to use your little token for the free ice cream post meal!!

Yelp
Visited flat iron on soho based on a friends recommendation. We went for lunch around 2. They sat us in the bassement where there were only two other parties. Menu is simple. Flat iron steak for 15 pounds or a cheeseburger for 18 or a Scottish cut or the two daily specials which included a wagyu steak at 35 pounds. We ordered a flat iron and a cheeseburger with a side of their aubegine dish. All tasted well. We also were surprised by a soft serve ice cream. Only weird things was that this is the first place in London where they added a 12.5% optional tip to the bill as if anyone is going to ask the server to remove it. Not sure it is smart or not cool at all.

Yelp
We got into Kensington and were starving after traveling. So I looked online for nearby restaurants and found this spot. Initially I was worried because there wasn't a dinner reservation open til 8:45 but we decided to walk over and test our luck at getting a table- and so glad we did. Ambiance was cute on the outside and inside. Staff was friendly and we were promptly seated (it was around 5:00) and they give you some popcorn that they pop in if I remember correctly beef fat as well as some chilled water. It's a win for me and my daughter as we love popcorn and water. We both ordered medium rare flat iron steaks and truffle Mac n cheese and bone marrow mashed potatoes. Everything we ordered was incredible. Upon check out, they give you these cute cleavers that you can exchange for some yummy Soft serve ice cream- love it. The ice cream was delicious and you can get chocolate shavings added. I can't recommend this spot enough.

Yelp
Steak was delicious and cooked just right. Wild mushroom sauce was great. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Highly recommend! But make a reservation. Restaurant is small but intimate! Fabulous steaks and side dishes with interesting steak knife. Don't forget to try the Flat Iron Malbec wine. It's so smooth and has a cherry hint to it. After your meal you will be treated to a soft serve ice cone to go. Wonderful service and delicious food, a dining must in London!!

Yelp
Came here twice while staying in London it was that good. Prices were very reasonable and the steaks were delicious. The service was so fast, we were served within 15 minutes our meaWe did a flat iron steak, which was salty and full of well flavor. Ask for medium rare steak and you will get just that, amazing! Our second time we got the special of the day, Wagyu Picahana for 2. This steak was thick and unfortunately, quite fatty. Had good flavor. Slightly more tender than the flat iron, but we agreed the extra fat ends made it not worth it. We also got the truffle Mac n cheese, the mashed potatoes, and the chips - all superb. The meal ended with free ice cream. Highly recommend this inexpensive dinner experience to everyone!

Yelp
Such good steak and reasonably priced! Best steak ever and such a good portion! We loved sitting upstairs and the staff was so friendly we even got a free drink.

Yelp
Very small almost hole in the wall restaurant. The main entrance is almost hidden , not a huge sign denoting it we almost missed it. Once we were seated the service was good , tables are very close together. The steak was so good so tender. Served not even in plate served on a piece of wood. Cocktails were made at the bar but served in a flask with their logo on it, pretty cool. Everything we had was fantastic from the steak to the potatoes and the Mac n cheese. We would have gotten ice cream but their machine was down. Can get pretty loud at times because of the closeness of all the tables. Definitely need to make a reservation ahead of time.

Yelp
Thanks to my yelping in London, we found an inexpensive but popular steak place in SOHO. Our bus guide also said the place was extra popular. An easy ride to this area, got us there before the crowd. Putting our name on the waiting list got us a table in less than 10 minutes. The menu is simple: 2 types of meat cuts and the specials also include a ribeye and Waygu options. We opted to try the ribeye and the Waygu Bavette(a type of sirloin). Both cuts were cooked to our request. Hubby said his Waygu was super tender. Server recommended one side selection per person since they were portions made for one. The truffle mac and cheese was amazing. The chips(fries) were amazing! Service is quick, lots of servers and food runners. At the end of our meal, they give us these tiny meat cleavers where we can exchange them for free homemade ice cream. There are many London locations and I've read all of them have the same service, food quality and ambiance.

Yelp
Pro-tip: come early, so you have a semi-decent-chance to grab a seat before the rest of the flock arrives. If you're traveling solo like me, there's a high probability you can skip the line at the bar. Bottom line: the best culinary deal you shall find in London . Period. A must-stop-by to find a bargain during inflationary times . Show me another place serving a high quality steak for 14 pounds? Yeah, you can't, can you? To put this in perspective, a SMALL cheese pizza from a fast-food chain costs 17.99 pounds. But wait, there's more! Each patron receives a free complimentary popcorn snack before meal, and at the conclusion of the meal, you are awarded a 'cleaver token' to be exchanged for a free ice cream cone. So for 14 pounds, you receive popcorn, steak and a desert ice cream cone! Probably cheaper than if you bought each individually from the grocery store ! So I ordered the flat iron steak (medium rare), and two side sauces -- béarnaise sauce and pepperoni. Steaks came out perfectly medium rare , melt -n-your-mouth and already sliced for consumption. But if you must cut it further, they provide a miniature fancy cleaver. From a well-trained chef, it's a rookie mistake to dip any sorta sauce in a juicy medium rare steak. In some countries , you're insulting the chef. I tried two of the side sauces on a few pieces just to see what they tasted like. Béarnaise -- skip. Too rich . Cannot taste meat. Peppercorn-- okay. Better flavor , but just order the flat straight up. I also ordered the cream spinach side. It was more wholesome and healthier as it contained less concentration of the cream side Im accustomed to. Complimentary ice cream cone was excellent. Tasted like something I found at salt 'n straw: basically ice-cream cone of what a sticky toffee pudding would look like. Strong 5/5 stars. Can't recommend enough.

Yelp
We went there without reservations and was offered to be sitted right away provided we only have the table for 1hr and 15 mins which is plenty for us! It was refreshing to be offered to be sitted despite no reservation. Food aaa great! We had the wagyu steak, chips which i forgot is fries nad the truffle mac is delish! Will go back there! All the food that we ordered are very good, servers very friendly, ambiance is nice and its oacked!

Yelp
Really great food for reasonable prices. Food was delicious. They do serve the food extremely fast so take that info and determine if you want to have a relaxing drink before you actually order your food. We received our food before our drinks arrived. The ice cream at the end of dinner was delicious as well.

Yelp
Kasim was the BEST waiter. I've been here a few times. My husband and I try to get there every time we're in London. His family is there so we go at least once a year. They have some of the best burgers I've ever had. We had our wedding there in December 2022, we brought over roughly 20 Americans. We brought them all here and they still rave about the burgers (over a year later) The icing on the cake is the ice cream cone on the way out. Just perfect! One of my absolute favorite spots!!

Yelp
I have just finished having dinner at the Flat Iron in Victoria. Wonderful! The Wagyu Flat Iron steak, rare, was so tender and flavorful. I ordered the bernaise and the wild mushroom sauces. Both were fantastic. My Old Fashioned cocktail came in a tiny flask (nice flair) and was surprisingly tasty. The La Foule Pinot Noir paired well with my Wagyu. The best part of dinner was the warm hospitality and fantastic service given by TAL the bartender. TAL schooled me on cuts of meat and the best way to order them. A very personable yet efficient bartender, made me feel like a regular, and so appreciated. Kudos to Flat Iron for great food and drinks at a very reasonable price. The staff is wonderful! This will be one of my go-to joints in London.

Yelp
Flat Iron is a local chain steakhouse that has their experience down to a science leading to incredible popularity. They start you off with popcorn (it's seasoned with beef drippings, so not for vegetarians). We ordered the flat iron and the bavette and both were very tasty, well marbled and prepared as ordered. The sides were perfect for vegetarians and omnivores alike. They send you out the door with some soft ice cream, in case you weren't full enough already. Super fun and reasonably priced.

Yelp
We came to this location when we were visiting London back in July. We made reservations ahead of time for 6 people. I think 6 was the max they'll let you book for at this location. Other locations I can't remember which one now was a max of 4. We arrived and were seated immediately. We sat at a table in the back closest to the bar. Our waiter came and introduced himself. He asked us if we'd been there before and proceeded to explain the menu to us. He answered all of our questions and was very patient with us as that was our first time there. 5 of us ordered the flat iron steak and one of us ordered the burgers. We got all the sides to share except the chips since they were out. The food arrived quickly. My steak was delicious even though it was more done than I had requested. All the sides were delish. Our fave was the bone marrow mash. The mash was so buttery and smooth. At the end they gave us tiny cleavers as a souvenir which you can also trade in for an ice cream cone. My cousin who got the ice cream do it was delicious. If we ever come back to London to visit, we would for sure try the other locations or come back for lunch.

Yelp
People... just read Daniel B's review below. Nothing else to say. I'd like to take these 50 remaining characters to thank Daniel B for writing the most perfect review! I haven't even had the ice cream. I wish I could curse on Yelp. Effin amazing! That's as good as you get. Cheers!

Yelp
My coworker recommended this spot ahead of my trip to London. After doing research on Flat Iron's various locations, reviews, and reservation availability, this location was the best and a lot closer to where I was staying so walking distance was a plus. Even 3 weeks before traveling across the pond, the only dinner reservation availability was from 1-4pm... I opted for the 4pm slot. This location has 3 floors and is right next to Carnaby Street which was perfect - eat a good meal and head down Carnaby to do some shopping next! Keep in mind, there is no parking available so it's best to Uber/taxi or walk to the restaurant. Upon arriving, there was a small wait as there was a group before us. We were taken down to the bottom floor next to the bar. While there were several tables filled, it took about 10-12 minutes before we got water and order taken. You're given a complimentary cup of popcorn to share at the table. For our group of 4, half ordered the flat iron steak (14.0), the other half ordered the wagyu steak of the day (22.0), 1 creamed spinach (3.5), 1 truffled macaroni cheese (5.5), and 1 crispy bone marrow garlic mash (4.0) all to share, 2 rose lemonades (3.5 each), and 1 bottled coke (3.5). This totaled to 107.84 with the optional donation and 12.5% optional service charge. What peeves me is that they already include it on your bill and if you don't want it, you have to ask them to take it off, which can be an awkward conversation. If it's optional, leave it up to the customer to say to add it to the bill or not. The menu is simple. When the steak comes, it's laid out on a wooden board and not of great size, but a reasonable portion for the amount you're paying for. Overall it was tender, a bit between medium and medium rare. The steak of the day is definitely more fatty and tastier than the standard so definitely recommend ordering one of those to try the difference. The sides were very delightful and delicious! My favorite was the truffle mac and cheese and garlicky mash. Consider ordering sides with your meal - you can't go wrong! Once your meal concludes, you'll receive tiny cleaver charms to redeem for a complimentary scoop of ice cream on the main floor. It was a nice way to end the meal - during this visit, they had Tahitian Vanilla with French Brown Butter. You can choose either a sugar cone or cup. Overall, this is a great inexpensive dining experience if you're visiting from out of town!

Yelp
This place is delicious omfg! I cannot believe how good the steaks were and they were decently priced ! I love that they give you popcorn to start the meal. The atmosphere is so cute ! The steak was so good we went back a second night. And the best part is that they give you free ice cream after your meal. It was 30°s but the ice cream was soo delicious! Overall an amazing place and I would definitely come back when I'm in London again.

Yelp
Amazing flat iron steak, cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender, full of flavor. I paired it with the green salad and mashed potatoes. There's a few locations - this one is located in the heart of SOHO. They even give you a tiny little hatchet at the end of your dinner so you can collect a free ice cream cone. I kept my little hatchet, so some day, when I come back, I'll return for my ice cream :)
google avatar

Tracy Y.

Yelp
I see why people like it. It's cheap and tasty! We ask for medium rare and it's cooked to perfection. Frankly I'm not the biggest fan of the cut because it's rather lean and chewy but it's very good value. They even have other cuts for as low as £20 for options so it's actually quite nice. Our fav sides are cream spinach and roasted aubergine - do give it a go! Their wine is also quite affordable despite the short list but overall experience was very nice! What tops it off is the free ice cream at the end - it's super sweet (not the best) but it's such a cheer on top to end your meal. The only thing is they are very hard to book.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
I fully admit I didn't know what to expect from Flat Iron but I was very pleasantly surprised. First off your only main is a flat iron steak but these guys understand how to season and cook it. It came out about as close to perfect as you could get a flat iron steak. The sides were amazing too and the wine seemed reasonably priced. If you haven't tried them yet - give them a shot.
google avatar

Amy Z.

Yelp
This was one of my top favorite meals in London. £13 (less than $17) for some of the juiciest tender steak SIGN ME UP. Our entire group ordered a steak each with different sauces. The steak was medium rare which was perfect, each piece was tender and juicy. I got the chili pepper mayo sauce was like smoked mayo, a little heavy. I got to try a bit of peppercorn and that was delicious, I'll probably get this next time. And let me tell you about the sides, my goodness were they good, I loved them all, each was so flavorful. The crispy bone marrow literally tasted like bacon, I LOVED it. Pair it with the steak and it's an amazing combo. The Mac and cheese was also loaded, definitely getting these two again next time. And the price for the steak was a steal! I've paid more for steak that didn't taste as good as this. This is a must try restaurant and if there is an opportunity I will most definitely come back. Service was ok, at one point we couldn't find our waiter. The inside was a nice sit down restaurant.

Yelp
Flat Iron in Soho, London is a hidden gem! The skirt steak was cooked to perfection! The prices are very reasonable for such high-quality food and the service was fantastic. This quaint little spot is a true hole-in-the-wall with a cozy atmosphere that makes for a memorable dining experience.

Yelp
I loved the food. Service was excellent as I sat at the bar and the ambiance similar to a pub.

Yelp
Wow!!! This restaurant was amazing -- great food, atmosphere, drinks, and service. They first gave us complementary popcorn which was a nice surprise. I got the Tony's margarita and it was hands down the best margarita I've ever had. I also got the steak and split three sides- truffle Mac and cheese, fries, and an eggplant dish with mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. All were AMAZING! Everything was reasonably priced and the staff was super friendly and nice. And at the end the gave you free ice cream! 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
The best meal I had in London. Service was excellent, the food was amazing and cooked perfectly. The steak was melt in your mouth and I Loved the little meat cleaver. Highly recommend and definitely will be a regular stop for me when I'm in town

Yelp
Yummy meal on a rainy day. Took our name and wait was less than thirty minutes. We were taken downstairs to our table, and know seating is tight amongst the tables. Although they are busy, food came out quickly. There is a board with specials, but was told most were not available. Party of four enjoyed dinner. At the end, you get a tiny cleaver to exchange for an ice cream cone upstairs.

Yelp
This is hands down, my absolute favorite restaurant in London. I wandered here by chance three years ago and had to come back. Seriously, I booked plane tickets, a hotel, tubed my way on over to get this food again. I am not exaggerating. You MUST make this a priority. All those buildings and museums aren't going anywhere. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Jade G.

Yelp
Perfect service, tender steak cooked perfect and yummy truffle Mac 'n cheese. We sat downstairs on a rainy day so it was super cozy and a good time was had by all!

Irena T.

Yelp
Came here because it was highly recommended by friends and Yelp. For a group of 4 we waited about 30 minutes on a Thursday night at about 9 PM. We got the regular flat iron steak and a Scottish bavette to compare. We also got the mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chips, and spinach. The steaks were cooked correctly (medium well), but I wish they weren't so tough and chewy. It didn't help their knife was so unbelievably DULL. The bavette was slightly more tender than the normal flat iron. The complimentary ice cream was the best thing I ate there. Service was nice and quick.
google avatar

April L.

Yelp
We had a nice dinner here with a short wait. Service was great and the environment is nice. They even gave us ice cream tokens and it was a fun surprise and a very nice and unique finish!

Leo G.

Yelp
The food was great and the ice cream at the was delicious. The place was looked fancy and the staff were really kind. Also they give you free popcorn when you come in.

David I.

Yelp
Great place in the theater district. Quick, cheap and good. Only a couple of choices on the menu for steaks and then four or five choices for size. Best of all, a free ice cream cone at the end.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
I love everything about this restaurant. The location, the ambience, the service, the menu, the drinks, and the food. And let's not forget the hatchet for ice cream. . I live across the world and still plan on coming back!
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
This is a very interesting place. Imagine, waiting an hour to get in, and finding one thing on the menu. But I must say, it was the best flatiron steak I've ever had. The fries were so amazing. I had to ask how they made them, and was told they fried them in the Juices from the steaks. Incredibly good. I don't know what else to say but this restaurant should get five stars.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect for a quick bite! Relatively inexpensive and you leave feeling full without the heaviness. Get the bone marrow garlic mash!!!

Yelp
I Googled steak houses in London while we visited. Flat iron had great reviews! Myself and husband shard the flat iron steak and the special wagyu steak. Both were tender and seasoned perfectly! As our sides we shared the creamed spinach and the garlic mashed potatoes, both delicious! Nicole, our server was delightful and attentive. And the free ice cream was a great bonus!

Yelp
This is a chain of restaurants located in central London and their motto is bringing affordable tasty steak to everyone. I love this place so much, that I came here twice to eat during my visit to London. I went to the Covent Garden branch because it was in a great location and within walking distance to major attractions and theaters. This location has two floors and with the restrooms located downstairs. As I sat down, the staff served popcorn and water. I was excited when I saw the small cleaver as cutlery and couldn't wait to use it. I ordered the sirloin for 20GP the first time and then on my 2nd visit, I ordered the flatiron steak 13GP. Have to say the flatiron steak was deliciously juicy and flavorful and was better tasting than the sirloin, which did have some fat. Have to say, I ordered the pepper garlic sauce which I hardly used during the first time. There are 3 sauces available for 1GP each but the coarse salt was enough to flavor the beef and to appreciate fully, the beefiness of the steak. I ordered Chips fried in beef dripping, sooo good and crispy. Also, the aubergines was very flavorful and tasty. After the meal, 2 small cleavers accompanied the bill. This was the fun part!!! You may keep the cleavers as souvenirs or exchange them for caramel ice cream coated with chocolate chips on the way out or if you're too full for dessert, you may come back anytime later to exchange your mini cleavers. What a lovely way to end a meal, with a complimentary dessert. Don't forget to wave to the butcher on the way out, next to the ice cream, as he prepares to cut the meat into great steaks. BTW, if you love the mini cleavers, they're available for sale 15GP. I regret not getting one but will do on my next trip. Cozy ambience, friendly staff and I loved the gimmick with the dessert at the end of your meal. Absolutely, will be back for sure.

Yelp
We went to this tiny little eatery based on other Yelp reviews and glad we did. They have a limited menu, only 2 cuts of steak and they were perfect. Flavorful and tender with approximately 4 sides available that were delicious. A nice touch is the popcorn appetizer on the table and the soft serve ice cream after. Seating space is kind of limited so you may wind up shearing a table, a nice way to meet new people. A true gem to have a meal at, you will enjoy this one.

Yelp
After a long walk at the British Museum, wife demanded steak. This place has good reviews from fellow yelpers so we gave it a try. It is small, cosy, and we got seated quickly. The staff is polite but very efficient. The food came really fast. The only steak on the menu was the flat iron, I ordered the peppercorn sauce. It was make perfectly and pre cut for easy enjoyment. The baked eggplant side with cheese as also pretty good. The larger the waiter recommended was nice as well. The price was pretty reasonable. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
Exquisite steaks, lovely servers. If you are in the soho area you must give them a try. It very popular with the locals and hard to get a reservation.

Yelp
We had planned to visit a different restaurant nearby, that was incredibly rude - so we changed plans. We happened upon Flat Iron and after a wait, were led downstairs. This place is just adorable and filled with charm. We were given tasty popcorn to start and started noticing the adorable cleavers. Our family loves the steaks and burgers and service. Everyone here is so cool and welcoming. After dinner we received adorable cleaver charms and a delicious gelato. Every bit of this was delightful and such a memorable experience.

Yelp
Great service, delicious food, in a fun atmosphere. Went on a whim and glad we did. The menu was simple but they let us share a steak entree and we just ordered a few sides to taste test. The cones at the end were a great little treat. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Cheap, good food. Free ice cream after. Cute little cleaver to cute steak. Would recommend.

Yelp
One of the best bangs for your buck in the entire city!! I got an entire steak - cooked to perfection - for £13, which includes a snack of popcorn to start and an ice cream to finish. The quality and taste of the steak and other menu items compared to their inexpensive cost is unbelievable. I may just be used to U.S. pricing, but a meal of this quality would have been 3-4x more in the U.S. than it is in London. I always make sure to stop here when I'm in the city and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious, reliable, quality, and cost efficient dinner spot. The surrounding area is also very nice, filled with shops, sweets, and pubs to check out. I'm usually somewhat disappointed with British food options but this place is always spot on and more than satisfying.

Yelp
Flat Iron was a highlight of my time visiting London! The concept is so simple but delivered with pure excellence! You get a high-quality steak for a great value. I recommend making a reservation or going early in the evening because the restaurant gets packed quickly. We had to wait for 45 minutes to get a table around 7 PM--the wait was totally worth it though! My husband and I both got flat iron steaks with different sauces. We got mashed potatoes and french fries. Everything was so delicious! I would die if this concept crossed the pond to the States!
