"Cow Hollow Mexican standby Flores has opened a new outpost in Emeryville’s Bay Street. Just like their SF location, they’ll serve upscale Mexican dishes, such as mole negro poblano, chicken tinga, tacos, and totopos. There’s also weekday Happy Hour, and a quick service outpost attached to the main restaurant (named Flores Taqueria) that’ll focus on customizable tacos, burritos, salads, and bowls.  " - Ricky Rodriguez

"Michelin Bib Gourmand-rated Flores has landed in Emeryville, the first East Bay outpost of the restaurant which has locations in San Francisco and Marin. Expect large format plates such as chile relleno and mole negro poblano, or order up a selection of tacos for your meal. There’s also a list of cocktails to order from, including four styles of margaritas, plus beer and wine. If you’re in a rush, quick-service sister business Flores Taqueria next door will serve dishes fast." - Dianne de Guzman

It is one of the best and freshest Mexican restaurants in the Bay. We love it. The Chicharon was awesome all of the tacos are delicious and the flan is the best I have ever had and I am a foodie. . The waitstaff is amazing. And the ambiance is lovely. We stayed in Berkeley for 4 days and ate at Flores three days. It is a must to try. And their happy hour is yummy. Even if you don’t drink.

While the food was good and atmosphere inviting, the service left a lot to be desired. Food was decent (chilaquiles was my personal favorite), but they would not allow any protein accommodations — my halal dining partner could not substitute any pork with a beef or chicken alternative, so something to keep in mind. The atmosphere is bright and really sells the vibe of warm Mexican cuisine. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday (most of the dining room was empty following the brunch rush, but still plenty of servers and a few other tables). While the staff was friendly, they missed the mark on adequate service. Our two meals were brought out 10 minutes apart, and despite ordering coffee and reminding the waiter once both meals were finally brought, the coffee never came. At the end of the meal, we told the waiter to not worry about the coffee as the meal was over and we had wanted it earlier, and the waiter protested — he told us he had put a pot on just for us and it would go wasted if we didn’t take it. We reminded him that we were ready to leave and had asked for it at the beginning of the meal. It was frankly — and surprisingly — unprofessional, particularly the bartering that he continued well after we had confirmed that the coffee hadn’t yet arrived and we were ready to leave. Overall, it was good food, but not good enough to put up with the lackluster service and extremely rigid menu for a casual dining spot.

The ambience is lovely, our servers were prompt and friendly. We got the chips and guacamole with salsa, sopas and moles poblanos. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend

My boyfriend, his parents and I went on a Sunday around 2:30pm. There was no wait time, and we were seated immediately. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered fish tacos, carne asada bowls, and a chicken Adobo bowl, as well as platanos, guacamole, and the street corn. The food was brought out surprisingly fast, but it was very fresh and cooked well. The only thing I wasn't blown away by was the street corn, it was lacking a lot flavor. The portions were large and filling, so sadly there was no room for dessert. The atmosphere of the place was great, very inviting decor and comfortable seating. This place was definitely better than most in the area. Simple, yet elevated.

Google
Authentic tasting Mexican restaurant in Emeryville serving some great happy hour options with drinks at $8 and tacos at $4. They provide some complimentary crispy rinds and for $3 a great trio of salsa that are pretty spicy with chips. Staff are kind and prices are reasonable with good outdoor seating.

Love the happy hour here, we come for the mushroom tacos specifically. The server is really kind and allergen conscious, gave us churros and removed dairy sides. Thanks for making my birthday special.

This was a decent restaurant. The margaritas were good, the tacos were good, nothing was fantastic that I’d be saying I must come back here. One time and I’ve experienced it. It was quite pricey for what we got.

We’ve been to Flores Emeryville several times and have always loved the food and service. The dishes were, as usual, delicious, and our server at the table was amazing, attentive, friendly, and welcoming. However, our experience this time started on a disappointing note. When we arrived, the restaurant was half empty, but my family had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated. During this time, an older server at the front completely ignored us. When another group walked in after us, the server immediately addressed and seated them without acknowledging our presence. It wasn’t until someone in the group pointed out that we had been waiting that we were finally seated. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. We’ve always enjoyed our visits here, but this experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It’s disheartening when moments like this seem influenced by our skin color. While the food and table service continue to meet the high standards we’ve come to expect, the initial treatment we received overshadowed the entire experience. We hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience for all customers moving forward.

Yelp
Stopped by here with my girlfriend for Friday night dinner last week - we weren't sure what to expect but this place definitely exceeded expectations we had. We made a reservation for 7:30 but we arrived a little early as we live nearby. We promptly seated without any issues. The restaurant itself is pretty cute and has plenty of cozy seating options. We ended up being seated at a booth. For our meal we ordered Queso Fundido, and Sikil Pak as starters and for our entrees my girlfriend got the Chile Relleno, and I got the Carne Asada plate. We also shared some margarita pitchers. The starters were both very solid - the queso fundido was delicous and had well roasted mushrooms and garlic in it. The Sikil Pak was also a welcome sight - it's something I've made at home before but have never seen in restaurants. Flores' take was very solid and it was served with Lettuce cups and Jicama Sticks (which i was unsure of at first but were surprisingly refreshing). The Margaritas were also solid - we ended getting the strawberry flavor ones and they were tasty. For our entrees, my girlfriend enjoyed her Chile Relleno. Flores doesn't do the regular egg batter on the chile that is traditionally done and my girlfriend really appreciated that (she doesn't like eggs). She enjoyed the sauce that the chile was covered with was good, and the overall flavor was good. Her only comment was that the rice was little hard/ not as soft as she would like. My plate was very good - the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the chimichurri and potatos were a excellent edition. I wasn't the biggest fan of the rajas con crema but that is just my preference. For dessert we shared the tres leches cake which was decent - not the best we've had (the cake was a little dense - and the cream was a little tart) but it satisfied our sweet tooth. Service was decent - at the start our waiters were very attentive. As the night went on though, service got a little slower. We also didn't get the right type of margarita pitcher when we ordered our second one (we asked for regular and got another strawberry). That didn't deter from our meal by any means and we still had a good time. All in all - I'd say this is a fun option for a date night or dinner option. I'd definitely stop by here again (most likely for brunch or lunch to explore the menu) Service : 3/5 Food: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Overall : 4/5

Yelp
This review is based on a quick stop. Upn entering there was no server so I waited for about 2 minutes before seating myself at the bar. The bar was partially cleaned with wet marks, spills, napkins, and menus from previous parties still sitting. My server (blonde highlights @ the bar) immediately noticed and started cleaning the bar off. To drink I had the Fresa margarita which was alright - not bad but but nothing to ride home about. To eat I just had the queso fundido and it was just okay. The tortillas and salsa were good. Overall, would I come back? I'd give it another try! Would I recommend it to a friend? Maybe

Yelp
The service here is amazing! The ambiance and decor, a delight! The food...could be better. I'd actually give it a 3 1/2 stars. I had the chorizo/potato flautas which were good, but you only get 2 short flautas when in my experience, most places usually give you 3. They were rather minimal. The green salad ingredients just didn't give super fresh. The chile relleno wasn't grilled, peeled then cooked in egg batter like traditional style, but the sauce was really good. The Chile Colorado was super tender and most excellent, the rice...not of the fluffy persuasion. The mini sopes were very good as well as the red pozole, and the pepita hummus with jicama was sorely lacking. I had a great pisco cocktail and they gave a complimentary, rather large slice of birthday tres leches cake which was quite good. I think the place has great potential and hope they can work out their menu a bit to draw me back.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with the fam on a Friday afternoon. The place is cute with all the colorful decor. The lunch menu wasn't plenty, it had a lot of the same dishes with different proteins. Our waiter was a nice guy, but inattentive as we asked for more duros and it never came. I asked for hot sauce because the bowl was missing some kind of zing and the hot sauce took about 15-20 min to get. It was slow service for a not so busy afternoon. The plantains was yummy and came with a lot of crema sauce. The carnitas bowl had every ingredient to make it flavorful, but it was lackluster. Hence, the need for some hot sauce or salsa of some sort. The prices are high everywhere so you can expect about $16+ per plate. I hope the dinner menu is a little better. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying dinner, some drinks since they had a good lookin' drink menu, and dessert (they had churros!).

Nicole P.

Yelp
Not sure why it's taken me so long to come here but it won't take as long to come back. Lively atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and enough space for private gatherings. They even have a taco bar! The food was really good and extremely flavorful. The carnitas were very tender and the sauce on the enchiladas had just the right amount of spice. The drinks were good too! Our meal was very affordable even though we had a big group. The servers were very attentive and the manager, Jordan was so nice and welcoming! We celebrated a couple of birthdays and had a chance to try the churros and tres leches cake. Both desserts did not disappoint. Excited to come back and try other items on the menu.

Yelp
We were Looking for a new place to go for dinner for Cinco de Mayo and came across yelp reviews for Flores. Mix reviews red flag was that SERVICE was lacking. Based on the other reviews, we decided to give it a go. We knew it was a 50-50 shot. We arrived early and sat at the bar. There were three people at the time behind the bar. It took an unreasonable amount of time, considering the place was mostly empty, for an employee to acknowledge us Even though several times they were right in front of us just prepping items and chatting. Not receiving a greeting for me Is a sticking point and We didn't receive one, actually it felt like we were a bother. Bartender warmed up eventually But the service remained lacking. Bartender did offer me A taste of a tequila and Mezcal That I was eyeing so that was appreciated but we had to ask for everything else thus we were there way longer than needed. I am a big hydrator and it was apparent they were getting annoyed at me asking for refills which most of the time my glass and others in my party were empty. Finally after we finished our food the bar back brought us a water pitcher. When the bill came it was wrong and had to be sent back two times. Items we did not order on there. We really wanted to Like this place but the location and service is a huge deterrent. Since it's a mall as we were walking up there was a group of unruly individuals That nearly knocked us over while We were walking the stairs To the restaurant and those individuals ran into The restaurant and towards the indoor tables. The bartender said we could eat at the bar so we stayed there. The food was good but nothing memorable, the bar was cute, decor nice, employees were nice just not attentive. Bathroom needed attention. If the service was on point I would have given 4'stars and would Say give it a go. Based on the service we received this is a no go for us. Best of Luck

Yelp
I stopped by here on a sunny Friday late afternoon. I was definitely hungry and went to sit at the bar which was very lively. I ordered a house margarita to start. Then I got the chicken tacos and guacamole. The chips were hot and crisp. These were all delicious. The tortillas are house made and that makes them taste so good. The bartender was very attentive and got my drink out quickly. The other bar staff were also friendly and helpful. The ambiance was festive and they have a nice outdoor seating area. Overall very pleased and will be back!

Yelp
Our server was great ! No issues there food was quick to come as well We ordered the flautas and it was over cooked . I couldn't even break through with my fork . Good flavor once I was able to dig in . The guacamole was okay ? It tasted like artificial lime. We ordered that with the trio The salsa verde was my fav . The carnitas tacos I really loved . The asada was nothing special . The fish was delish . The ceviche was 1/5 it was so salty . We added lime and managed to not waste but jeez that was some else . The churros was a huge disappointment too . It was so hard The place is so Beautiful and I believe has so much potential in the near future . The strawberry margarita and Paloma were on point though 5/5

Yelp
Got the lemonade from here as a treat while walking around Bay Street -- very refreshing and had a great taste to it. Ordered from the to-go side. $11 after taxes around. Excited to try out their sit in bar and other options next time!

Yelp
I had tickets to Dune 2 and usually get a hamburger at Shake Shack before a movie, but I decided to mix it up and try Flores. The host was very friendly when I came in and told me I could sit anywhere at the bar. I was greeted by the bartender right as I sat down, talk about service! He recommended some items on the menu, I tried one (the ceviche) and then opted for another as I was craving soup. The ceviche was extremely flavorful (potentially over salted) and fresh. The fried corn patty that came with it was an interesting touch. The pozole was just okay. It didn't have enough salt or flavor at first, but adding some salt and a bit of hot sauce really elevated the dish. The lighting and ambiance are a definite upgrade from the CPK that occupied the space before. I'd like to come back and try the enchiladas which the bartender raved about. Overall a solid dining experience if you're ever in the area.

Yelp
Gorgeous space and great service! The food looks really nice, however there is a complete lack of seasoning with all of it. Not even salt, let alone some spices. I would advise to the owners not to be scared to up the level of flavor in the food. The space is so gorgeous and I'd be back in a heartbeat if the food was more flavorful.

Yelp
Stopped here for a mid-shopping snack and will definitely be coming back. Staff and Service: - Wanted to sit at the bar and got seated right away - Main bartender and 1-2 people helping her - all were nice Food and Drinks: - Fresa Margarita: a refreshing blend of strawberry and lime flavors. Don't let this little drink fool you - it does hit if you have a low tolerance for alcohol - Totopos: their chips and salsa trio. If you're looking at my photo of this dish, the green salsa at the bottom is a very zest lime salsa. The one in the middle (my favorite) is more of your traditional salsa, but they did something different to make it delicious. The one at the top (more of a red-orange color) packed some heat! My tongue definitely felt this one - Snacks on the house: when we sat down, we were given these snack things (not sure what they're called) that had a nice lime zest. Initially, they tasted similar to Japanese osenbei, and then I started tasting more of the delicious like zest. Miscellaneous: - Flores is located on the same floor as other restaurants - Parking is available via the parking structure connected to Bay Street - Indoor and outdoor seating available

Yelp
I had NO IDEA!! On the outside , and from a distance and online, Flores looks small, quaint, and like a typical eatery at a mall. It's much more than that. Colorful, vibrant, and fresh, the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Staff were quick to seat, and there were options for private dining using g heavy barn doors and curtains. Vegetarians have plenty of good options, enough to make a carnivore like me eat from their plate. A spicy drink and a full plate, I had the street tacos. Although the carne was a bit overdone, it still varied good flavor. Grilled fish tacos were fresh and filling. I'll go back again , and sit outside next time !

Yelp
So "Ok" sums up our lunch here. We came a bit after 1PM so it was not crowded. Service was friendly and on point. Presentation was nice but in the end errant tortillas and the overall bland level of the is what got us here..... The food: The fried pinwheel thingys: They came as part of the service. OMG they were good. Just on the edge of too much salt, but had a ?onion taste to them. With beer they were perfect. Kind of like a craft Funyun Flautas De Chorizo Con Papas: The filling wasplaguedexcellent. The tortilla not so much. It was either old or over fried or something. It should not take effort with a knife to cut through them. The avocado tomatillo salsa was good but we could not get past the toothsome tortillas Quesabirria: The meat was in large cubes but tender. But the broth was bland and it was a pity as a good broth would have taken this from okay to great. Esquite: This was excellent. Think of it as craft Mexican creamed corn. The corn tasted fresh, and the richness of the crema was balanced out by the slight sourness of the limes and cojita cheese. The roasted tomatoes added a nice hit of acidity as well. There were two white beans in ours not sure if that was a accident or intentional. Tacos: We ordered 6 total and 5 kinds: Chicken Tinga: This one was the best of the bunch. The shredded chicken was flavorful and the pickled onions were a perfect contrast to the chicken. Carnitas: Crispy edges on the carnitas was a nice touch and the taco was good but not world beating and tasted flat Carne Asada: The steak was tender being cut small but again on the bland size. The pico on top did not help much. Adding the salsa helped but like carnitas it was flat. Pescado: The fried had promise and the batter was well executed. But it was in multiple pieces like it had fallen apart or something rather that a single piece of cod. The grilled was okay but suffered from the flat note that plagued many of the dishes we had.

Yelp
We were confused about the kiosk ordering & inquired at the front desk, that was in the other room. The Host explained that the Kiosk is for to go ordering, but we were welcome to eat in the patio. He was very kind and offered to delete and refund our order so we could sit inside & have the full dining experience. We chose to keep order as is. He then walked Us out to the patio and offered Us drinks. He came back a few minutes later and gave us a coupon for the confusion. Excellent customer Service. Above and Beyond. The salsas were the food highlight for Me. Burritos were good. We will be back to have the full dining experience this Sunday.

Yelp
I sat at the bar with my friend and our bartender was Ivan. He was awesome and his customer service was excellent. I'm glad I sat at the bar. My friend & I enjoyed the atmosphere there. Everyone is very kind & welcoming at the restaurant. I got the salad and asked for recommendations and Ivan recommended this salad and I was not disappointed. Very flavorful and good. The manager brought out my salad was a little disappointed in my dark avocado, but didn't want to say anything because Ivan was so nice. But it did not ruin the salad it was still good. The drinks were good too. They have a very big selection. You should definitely check this space out and sit at the bar. I'm definitely going to return

Yelp
It's 1/1/24 No one ever wants to have bad vibes the first day of the year !!!!!! But apparently I can't speak for everyone I called ahead to confirm the venue was open on New Years Day I spoke to Jordan who confirmed the venue is open & confirmed for today no reservations is needed I explained to Jordan that it's just me & a few coworkers that wanna have drinks at the bar & I asked if the bar was open he confirmed it was and Jordan provided me with exceptional directions on how to arrive to the venue Thanks JORDAN for the green light I couldn't make it to the YELP ELITE EVENT so I came on my own time and dime I am always actively looking for venues to hold parties Never ever in my ONE THOUSAND plus reviews have I walked away from a restaurant with such disservice based SOLELY ON one employee named RAUL Again it's 1/1/24 !!!! Yelp
We ended up here because we were originally heading to Chevys for a quick bite/drink before catching the Amtrak. Thank goodness that chevys location recently closed because we found this gem! Great drinks, great food, and even greater service! Shout out to Jordan and Raul who were so nice and attentive! It's also a beautiful restaraunt. I took pics of the restaraunt to remind myself to come here for a group dinner sometime!

Yelp
We came here for dinner on a Saturday and were seated as soon as we arrived. The place has a nice outdoor patio and plenty of space inside and bar area. The service was friendly. We enjoyed the veggie chicharrones. Also had chips and salsa, chicken tinga and carne asada tacos, pozole, carnitas plate, and corn esquite. All tasted great especially the carnitas. For dessert we had the sundae and churros and of course with margaritas and beer. Yum! We enjoyed our meal and time here. We'll be back!

Yelp
Such a great addition to the Bay Street mall! I haven't been here in forever and recently realized that the upstairs has really elevated their food scene. Flores has a great ambiance if you're looking to treat yourself to something a little fancy. When you sit down, you get these complimentary pinwheels, which are delicious. Per recommendation from the server, we ordered the Sikil Pak ($20), which is a pumpkin hummus with jicama. Super unique dish in terms of flavors and textures. I'm not sure it was my favorite, but I appreciated trying something completely new to me! As an entree, we shared the Carnitas ($32), which was one of the larger plates. The meat was crispy and tender with a nice, sweet flavor. I appreciated the warm tortillas to make your own carnitas tacos with all the fixings and chicharrones too! This was plenty of food for the 2 of us after an evening workout. Overall, I would come back here again if I'm looking to treat myself to something special. I'll have to come back and try some of the cool sounding cocktails too!

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Honestly the pictures didn't sell me -- but I do get the hype! Lighting inside isn't good so its hard to get good pics. But the tacos were flavorful and super juicy! I thought they'd be bland or hard but that's not the case. Do wish they came out hotter. Salsa was bomb and legit margaritas! Everything came out fast and service was concise. Can't wait to try other things on the menu, quesabirria and enchiladas were calling my name!

Nuhamin T.

Yelp
The food was really great, the tacos felt really authentic and flavorful. Came during happy hour and the prices were good. The flautas was crunchy and flavorful. All the staff was nice and inviting. So glad this opened up at Baystreet. Also the drinks were really good! The ambiance. All around really good.

Yelp
Everything about this place was mid. I only came here because I was cold and I already paid for parking and Saucy Asian was closed. This place replaced CPK (RIP) - which was a staple for me growing up as it was weirdly enough one of the few American places my mom would go with me to. We were offered a booth but it looked cramped and uncomfortable so I asked for a table. (the booth seats were short and straight backed, which I hate) We sat down. Ordered. Got the guac. Queso fundito. And a few tacos. The chips and salsa that came with the guac was pretty good... But the guac itself was too sour. They used too much lime juice or something which overpowered the avocado and made it also kind of slimy and wet. The queso fundito was extremely congealed and wasn't really the texture I was expecting. It was like eating soft plastic. I got a sinular vegetarian taco bc the choices were fairly limiting and none of the meat options seemed appetizing. That was good. I love mushrooms. But it wasnt worth $6.50 for it since there was barely anything in that taco. I liked the guava queso. Service was good though. I liked the hostess a lot. And our server came and checked on us! Glad I tried it since it was a new spot on Bay Street. Definitely will go elsewhere if I wanted Tacos though.

Yelp
My friend and I were trying to find a nice chill restaurant to grab dinner and margs after work and we came across this new restaurant on Bay Street. Upon entering right away, the interior was nicely decorated that fitted the overall restaurant aesthetic. Our server was really nice and provided lots of recommendations which was appreciated since everything on the menu looked super good! - Fresas Margarita (5/5): We ordered a pitcher which was around 4-5 drinks. It took us aback because the drinks were STRONG... but they were delicious and still had that refreshing strawberry flavor! We ended up finishing the whole pitcher haha. - Ceviche Mixto Campechano (4.5/5): Can never go wrong with ceviche! The flavors were all there and was really delicious. It came with a corn fritter but our server offered to bring out tortilla chips which we gladly accepted. Only qualm we had was that there were only 2-3 pieces of shrimp which is a shame since it is so good! - Carnitas (5/5): SO DELICIOUS! It had a crispy exterior with a savory and soft interior. The server brought us out more tortillas which was needed since they gave us quite a bit of carnitas. Overall, I would definitely come again given the great service and yummy food and efficient drinks. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I came to Flores the first time for a Yelp Elite event and was wowed! 5 star service and the food was delicious. I still stand by that. I came here for my bday lunch last week. I made a reservation and I like that they called to confirm and when I was late, they called to see if I was still coming. I rescheduled for 2:15pm and made it by 2:45. 15 minutes until happy hour! I ordered the chicken bowl, the carnitas bowl and red posole was also ordered. All were pretty damn good. Yes, I tried my friend's food. Sharing is caring, y'know? Anyway, we stayed for HH. HH tacos are $3 a piece. Normally you get 3 for $18. The margaritas are $7 and the sangria is $8. The margarita was good but I wish they had other flavors. Overall I'll be back for that HH but their chorizo y papas flautas deserve some praise. So does their ceviche, both of which I had the first time I was here.

Yelp
I came here a couple weeks ago for a private event and the food was so perfect, I had to return. I bragged about the food and decided to bring my son. Though the location is incredible and the service excellent, I had a different experience with the food yesterday. There are specific reasons why I'm giving 4-star instead of three. First off, the service was excellent. Our server Christian was very pleasant and checked in with us at the right intervals. The chips and guacamole were perfect. The tortilla chips were nice and crunchy, and the guacamole was just delicious. Loved it and the salsa, so fresh and flavorful. The margarita was excellent! I could drink it all day if it didn't contain alcohol, it's just that good. My son loved his Birria tacos. He wasn't very hungry but devoured every bite. The issues were with my food. I ordered the plantains and they were dry. I kept eating them expecting the flavor to improve but it didn't. I ordered two tacos, one Carna Asada and one Carnitas. The Carna Asada was cold and lacked seasoning and the Carnitas was very hard and dry, I almost sent it back. What saved it was I poured some of my sons Birria sauce over it and let it sit. The sauce improved the texture and flavor. I was shocked and disappointed at this experience because my last was so incredible. But last night was dramatically different. Despite my last experience, I'll still return to try them again. I'm really hoping this was just a one time thing.

Yelp
Service - 5/5 (server was Christian) Ambiance - 4/5 Food - 4/5 Made a reservation for Sunday at 6 and was seated right away. Told the hostess that it was my friends birthday and they made sure to take care of us. Great service by Christian and team. Guacamole- delicious. Very citrusy, not spicy but tasty with the chips as an app. Sopes - came with 3 . Would recommend as a shareable app Trout fish entre - good, but definitely not worth $32 for the size. The fish was pretty thin. Made tacos from this dish with the sides provided. Enjoyed it a lot Pozole - came out very hot which I love, but overall just okay. Not memorable, but good. Would come back!

Yelp
Had a great time checking out Flores restaurant for Mother's Day! The food was delicious and spicy. The beautiful Mexican decor is so sexy, inviting, and modern. My only complaint was their service needs improvement. I get it I went on Mother's Day so I know the staff was super busy but our server never really checked on us throughout our meal. We needed more warm tortillas but when they came the food was already cold. The food was so good that I will try this place again to see if their customer service has improved. They also have a taco bar to grab quick bites and for to go orders. Perfect spot for happy hour and date night and a movie!

Yelp
Great ambiance and super nice/friendly server! I also really liked my drink b it can't remember the name. It has jalapeno tequila or something.. I was very thrown off by the queso..... I was expecting like "cheese dip" right? It eventually just turned into a sheet stick? Or cheese slice haha. It was also served with actual tortillas (which by the way looked homemade and were delicious) but wasn't sure how to eat this cheese with it? I wouldn't get it again and it kind of made me nervous to get anything else so I didn't. Overall a good experience but won't come back for the food only drinks!

Yelp
Food: seasoned perfectly, flavorful, perfectly cooked meats, vegetarian options the food is very authentic and cooked with love Service: everyone from the host, the chefs, waiters and owner are so friendly and caring about the customers Ambiance: the restaurant is sectioned off well, from bar area, party room, general dining. The decor reminds me of my trip to Mexico. Very clean and large open kitchen

Yelp
Perfect location with plenty of parking. My friend and I stopped in on a Thursday evening around 7:30p and we were seated right away. Our waiter was kind and helpful. We started with cocktails. I had the wanna manzana and it was delicious . Our food came out quickly! It was fresh, hot and good portion size. We spent about $100 with tip for the two of us with 2 cocktails, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. Would definitely visit again.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try the new restaurant additions to Bay Street Emeryville. With Mexican good loving family visiting from out of town, this was a perfect choice! I made a reservation just in case, for Saturday 11:30am, but the restaurant was not very busy. We were sat immediately and a the high chair I requested was also all ready to go at our table. The restaurant is beautiful. So welcoming and bright and colorful. All of the patterns are distracting as you walk through the restaurant but in the best way. We started with some cocktails, chips and salsa. If you're a spicy fan (like a real spicy fan) the habanero salsa was incredible and we asked for several extras anticipating our meal. Service is lovely, casual and fast. Our food arrived quickly, hearty and plated beautifully. Flores really knows flavor. The meats and the sauces and veggies pack so much flavor. The carnitas were my favorite. We will definitely be back! Great space, kid friendly, friendly people and excellent menu. Thanks Flores Emeryville!

Yelp
I thought the outside sitting is a nice touch and the service was great. I asked for strawberry lemonade which they agreed they can whipped something up and ordered grilled skirt steak I believe it was called.

Yelp
Food was delicious but for my friend and I who were very hungry, it was not enough We thought the pricing for the amount of food wasn't too worth it. However, since the food was delicious and customer service was outstanding, I would come back but maybe not on an empty stomach

Yelp
You gotta come here whenever you're in the mood for some traditional Mexican dishes! Flores dishes are all from family recipes and their tortillas are made by hand! They also have a full bar with 50+ tequilas and mezcals. Let's just say I fell in love with Flautas that night because of this place. Don't forget to try their green salsa! That stuff is crack sauce and will make you just want to drink it. * Chips, Guacamole, & Salsa * Flautas de Chorizo Con Papas * (2) Tacos w/ Carne Asada and Fried Fish (Cod) * Bistec Plate * Mi Passion & Sueno Tropical

Yelp
I really enjoyed a recent work lunch at Flores as the service was friendly, portions were reasonable, and food was delicious enough to want more. I can see why they are opening new locations throughout the bay area. Our team/ party was welcomed with cute decor and friendly staff upon checking in. Servers were attentive and remembered little details (i.e., names) which added a thoughtful touch to service. I ordered their carne asada bowl which had the right amount of flavor and it didn't leave you stuffed to induce a major food coma afterwards. I also had one of their mocktails, Pina No-jito (pineapple, mint, lime, and soda), which was refreshing. Street parking can be a challenge but if you're lucky you might snag a spot on Bay St. There is also a convenient parking garage nearby. (Make sure to pay right after you park.) Overall, I'm glad Flores opened up in Emeryville and would visit again. I am curious now about their SF location...

Yelp
Waitress was super friendly and gave us 2 free guacamole & chips for next time :D! Carne Asada tacos were great, and so was the Sundae. Very clean and I loved the music that was playing.

Yelp
Came here a few weeks ago and have been raving about this place to all my family and friends! Great Customer service , Drinks were perfect , & the food was authentic and delicious ! Our server was awesome and very friendly and we got the chance to meet Jordan which was also very kind. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
I enjoyed the M-F 3-5pm Happy Hour. LOVED the Fried Fish taco and will most likely get a few more next time, instead of the Pollo or Carne Asada.

Yelp
First visit and we were wowed from the moment of arrival! Spacious, open patio where patrons soaked up sun and cocktails while enjoying the lively Bay St. atmosphere. Inside, gorgeous décor and warmly inviting ambiance. We were enthusiastically greeted by hostess Asia who--on a very busy holiday weekend--promptly led us to a nice seating area. Moments later, our server Alan introduced himself and proceeded to graciously answer questions regarding the menu. Our drinks and chips were soon on the table and our meals shortly after, beautifully presented and very flavorful. Alan was attentive throughout and the manager even stopped by to ensure we were pleased with everything. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Yelp
I really liked how they decorated the interior. Color used was very inviting. I also liked the painted characters on the wall in the front of the restaurant. For my lunch I ordered the 3 tacos consisting of the beef steak, carnitas, and the chicken tinga. Of the three, the carnitas was my favorite. The carnitas pieces were quite large for the taco tortilla. It was also crispy, which took me by surprise. The sliced vegetables and salsa helped accentuate the carnitas flavor. A great place for lunch that my friends and I are planning to return again.

Yelp
We came during happy hour but I don't even know if it's worth coming back. The prices are absolutely ridiculous high. The quesabirra came with two pieces and costed $18 when they're worth $12 at most. Even I thought the tacos, which were discounted, were barely worth it. Service took forever and when I asked for a refill on the wheels, we never got them. The atmosphere and decorations is the only nice thing here. Would much rather go to a taco truck for cheaper and better tacos.

Yelp
A huge thank you to the team at Flores for making my birthday dinner an amazing experience this past Friday night! I had such a great time and all the food was perfect. My group of about 15 said the margaritas, carnitas (!!!) and churros were their favorite part and also commented that the service was excellent. I will definitely be back and am recommending this location to my friends, especially for a large group! For me personally, I liked prepicking from the large dinner selection and being able to bring my own cake. I think the experience from inquiry to the night of was executed so well. We had such a good time and thanks also for letting us stay longer than anticipated!

Yelp
We went on a sat night, didn't wait long to be seated. Staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely like their job. We got the tacos and my fish taco was one of the best I ever had. We also got chips and guacamole. They served fresh pinwheels and my husband loved them so much he asked for more. The food had good flavors and was fresh. I also really like the ambiance and music. Looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Beautiful place with lovely outdoor seating and charming indoor seating. Love the Mexican themed wall murals and bright colorful decor. The bar area looks very cute. The tacos are very good. I particularly liked the fish taco. The portion is big and the deal of 3 for 18 is decent value for money. Chips were a tad greasy but the salsa that goes along with it is excellent. Pity they don't offer chips and salsa on the house but it is priced at a decent $4 per order. Service is good. A tad pricey but then what isn't these days? Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Honest opinion, it was alright. Probably would give this place 3.4 stars if I could. I like the ambience and interior design, and the food came pretty quickly for HH just before 5pm on a Friday. We got a "pitcher" of margarita ($31 on HH), Chile Relleno, Tacos de Carnitas, Pollo Tinga, and Carne asada ($3 each on HH), and chips and guacamole ($9 on HH). Positives: The chips and guac were YUMMY and good size portion! The chile relleno was also pretty good! I love that they put mushrooms in it, and the sauce was like a yummy, mild chipotle sauce. It came with rice, but we wish it came with beans or tortillas too. Negatives: The tacos were alright, but I found a bone in my chicken taco Accidents happen, so we didn't send it back, but be warned. The pitcher of margarita was a joke. It was the size of my boyfriend's hand AND was poured from the beer drafts, so it's premade. The glasses they give with it are like 4 oz glasses with ice so it'll "feel" like you're getting a bunch of servings, but you're not. Our bartender that served us was nice, but not very "warm". She gave us everything we needed and checked in, but I don't think I ever saw her smile. Kinda made me feel like I was being a bother if I ever asked for something. Lastly, they need to clarify the two different prices in their tequila list. When I ordered a shot, I was thinking the first price was a shot and the second would be a double? But I was charged the second price without questioning what size shot I preferred. When I asked the bartender, he said that the first price is 1 oz. So I would need to specify a 1 oz shot next time??? Idk. It was confusing and awkward. Overall, I didn't dislike my experience, but I don't see myself feeling the need to come back.

Yelp
First time visiting. Love the ambiance, design and setup inside. Service was excellent. The classic mojito was 10/10. The enchiladas have a beautiful presentation, but lacking in flavor. Will be back for another mojito and to try other food options.

Yelp
I loved this place, except for the price. Three of us spent around $140 for a dinner. We ordered an appetizer, three entrees and two deserts. We loved all of them. This Mexican restaurant exceeded my expectations with its vibrant atmosphere and flavorful dishes. The staff was attentive, and the guacamole was a standout--fresh and perfectly seasoned. The diverse menu offered a variety of authentic options, and the margaritas were a delightful complement to the meal. A must-visit for those craving an authentic Mexican dining experience.
