Avocado Hummus and Ancient Grain Bowls Coming to Boulder Wednesday | Eater Denver

"An Arizona-based healthy-food chain is opening its first Colorado outpost on Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder, starting Wednesday, August 22, with daily hours of 11 a.m.–9 p.m. The bright, Instagram-ready space emphasizes colorful, inspirational decor (including designated parking spots for yoga mats) and markets food meant to “take you to a happy place.” The menu focuses on health-forward items such as poke bowls, veggie wraps, kale salads and avocado hummus, and offers plentiful options for sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and paleo diets. The drink lineup includes daily juices, seasonal lemonades, a house kombucha, and alcoholic choices like organic wines, “Skinny” beers and Prosecco spritzes. The location will also host a free lemonade stand for the public on Saturday, August 25, outside neighboring McGuckin Hardware." - Josie Sexton

Healthy Chain Flower Child Comes to Boulder | Eater Denver

"A healthy fast-casual chain is opening a Boulder outpost in mid-August that emphasizes fresh, chef-driven salads, wraps, and bowls — including a signature “Mother Earth” bowl with grains, sweet potatoes, avocado, hemp seeds, and vegetables. The menu is built for dietary variety (vegetarian, vegan, paleo and other “-free” options) and features proteins such as non‑GMO tofu, sustainable salmon, and natural chicken and steak; beverages include tea, kombucha, wine, and local beers. The concept is expanding into Colorado from locations across Arizona, California, Georgia, Nevada, and Texas, is hiring more than 80 positions for the launch, and is part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, a multi-brand restaurant group." - Rebecca Treon

My friends and I decided to stop in for an early dinner. I'm gluten, dairy and soy free but a carnivore and two others are vegan. The cashier was knowledgeable about food allergens, there were no issues with cross contamination. My friend who doesn't have food allergies got the gluten free Mac and cheese and enjoyed it. I had the Peruvian braised beef without the salsa and I also tasted the cauliflower risotto and chili sesame sweet potatoes. I also had the lemon olive oil cupcake and the sangria that had guava. We all enjoyed our meals and this is a great place to keep in mind of you have food sensitivities, are a carnivore, vegan or vegetarian.

Ordered on DoorDash. My friend’s bowl had maybe 3 pieces of sweet potato and no kale. The only part that was acceptable was the steak and even that was light. Wild.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado. I randomly stumbled upon this location when I lived near the Boulder area in 2019. I now live out of state but will easily travel out of my way to make it for a meal here when I’m in the area. I can remember doing takeout multiple times a week to support them during covid. I’ve always received speedy service & the food is always delicious. The sweet chili glazed sweet potatoes are seriously my favorite side along with their mac & cheese. I’ll always be a fan & it’s a refreshing place to receive whole foods & fresh ingredients.

Absolutely delicious! Menu notes if dish is vegan, vegetarian or GF for every item. I got the glow bowl, cauliflower kung pow and a beer. I would eat this these dishes every day they were so good! For someone with lots of food sensitivities, I felt very welcome with many choices that I didn’t need to alter. Outdoor seating, patio seating with rain block and indoor dining.

Flower Child in Boulder is such a refreshing spot! The food is not only delicious but also feels healthy and thoughtfully prepared. I love that there are so many options for all kinds of diets—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free—yet everything tastes amazing no matter what you choose. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and uplifting, making it a perfect place for a casual meal or even a quick bite on the go. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the service feels genuine. It’s one of those places where you leave feeling good about what you ate and the overall experience. Definitely one of my go-to favorites in Boulder!

The place is cozy and comfortable, with a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered five different dishes, and I admit my expectations were quite high. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t as flavorful as I had hoped - a bit bland and lacking creativity. The flavor combinations didn’t really come together for me. Still, I might give it another try sometime.
