We have eaten here several times on several visits and have been delighted every time. This is one of the best restaurants on Disney property. The food was superb and our waiter Nathan was pleasant, efficient, and professional. The appetizer of pork belly was very tasty, even though it was not seafood! My wife had ash crusted salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The Chilean Seabass was the best I have ever had. The cheese platter was a real treat also. You can’t go wrong here!

The interior of this restaurant is so lovely and special and you have the utmost friendly and kind staff helping you in your dining experience from start to finish. This was my first time here, and I already can’t wait to go back. Tarik was our waiter, and he was helpful and awesome. Daniel also came by to check in on us, and he was a delight to talk to! I ordered the red snapper, and my husband ordered the steak. Both were DELICIOUS! They are some of the best meals we’ve had at Disney. Note this is a formal dining experience so relish in it and enjoy. This isn’t the place for huge portions or cost saving prices. Also they do table side martinis! And it’s some of the best gin martinis I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant and a huge thank you to Tarik and Daniel for making this a wonderful and special experience! :)

This is hands down the best meal on Disney property. We are locals who have tried lots (not all but hopefully soon), and this is a bar above the rest. I got the ash crusted salmon and my wife got the pan seared chicken. Honestly I’m not even sure how to describe how good this meal was. The flavors of both dishes are out of this world. They all meld together in a way I’ve never experienced before at any price point. This is a must for anyone, everyone, and everything in between. If you are reading this review, you need to go. Make time for the best meal of your life.

We had an amazing experience at Flying Fish at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn! Our server, Nicola, was incredible, possibly the best service we’ve ever had at the parks. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, explained portion sizes perfectly, and was such a wonderful conversationalist. She checked on us frequently to ensure everything was right and impressively, she was still in training! Her trainer, Chelsea, also stopped by and was just as fantastic. So friendly and welcoming! We chatted about our dogs, which made the experience even more special! As for the food, everything was delicious! The lobster bisque was spectacular, with a few actual pieces of lobster, which was a nice surprise. The bread and butter at the start of the meal was also fantastic, with a perfect touch of flaky salt. For entrees, my scallops were seared to perfection, and the sauce had a wonderful tang. The grits that the scallops were served on were flavorful! My mom’s mussels, however, had a bit of a strong fishy taste, possibly from a fish-based broth, which she didn’t love. My husband enjoyed his sea bass but found the sauce a bit too buttery for his preference. That said, everything was still very well-executed. Overall, this was a top-tier Disney dining experience, made even better by the outstanding service. Nicola and Chelsea made our night, and we would return just for them! Highly recommend Flying Fish for anyone looking for a great meal on the Boardwalk!

My wife, son, and I had the absolute best dinner of our lives at Flying Fish tonight. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The bread service was incredible, the appetizers were simply divine, and our waiter was attentive and truly made our evening special. But the real stars of the show were our entrees – they were out of this world, a true home run! If you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience at Disney World, Flying Fish is an absolute must-try.

As expected, Disney never fails! We have eaten at the flying fish many times and always enjoy our experience! Our server was Mary and she was top-notch! The water is triple filtered. Our table had mussels for an appetizer and the potato wrapped snapper and fillet for our entrées. Would highly recommend both. Did feel the outside of the meat/fish was a little salty (I’m not a huge salt fan), but my dining companions thought it was perfect.

My husband and I went here for a nice dinner while at Disney and everything was delicious. The waiter recommended the potato wrapped fish but I’m not big on fried foods and I love scallops, so I ordered the scallops and I’m so glad I did. They were cooked perfectly and the dish was absolutely delicious and well balanced; I ate every single bite of it which I don’t normally do. He got the sea bass with crab which was also very good but we both agreed that the scallops were better. We got the lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail to start, both of which were very good. The shrimp cocktail was a little different than a traditional one but was tasty and the lobster bisque was slightly on the salty side but was really good overall. We would definitely go back if we were in Disney again.

My family owns restaurants and has been coming here for 10 years, We haven’t been for a couple of years and the food is just as amazing as it used to be, The presentation of everything was incredible and it tasted just as good, Even the appetizers were incredible, Disney food is very hit or miss but this was amazing. Best new york strip i’ve ever had, As a server myself I have to say we had an Incredible server named Carla, She was so sweet, funny and always was on top of everything, The best i’ve ever had!! Went the EXTRA mile for my family and little sister, So kind, All the staff was very warm and welcoming, A must eat in disney.

Yelp
I'm shocked to see it only have 4 stars, it's top tier fine dining! The bread is so extraordinary! The service is amazing, I've never met nicer servers! The way they pull out your chair and give you a hot towel for your hands! The deserts! Ah there's a chocolate one that's like a show when you order it! Everything is so good here it's one of my fav Disney restaurants truly. The atmosphere is amazing! It's so pretty! And it sticks to the theme of what flying fish means if you look at the pictures on the wall! Also check out the cool circus type themed bar next door abracadabar I really recommend it!

Yelp
Fine done restaurant in the Disney boardwalk resorts. Fish is the specialty. Steaks are a must too. Pricey but worthy. Highly recommended

Yelp
As many others experienced and expressed, the restaurant has an elegant vibe. From the communication, table service and food presentation I would give them a five out of five stars. For the value of your money I'd give them a four out of five stars. The reason for this is due to the portion sizes of your main entree. We started with gluten free rolls. Although they took quite a while to get to our table, the bread was very warm and tasted good. A minor issue was that it was slightly chewy. Not something desired in gluten free baking, as it suggests that either the flour ratios are off or that too much 'gum' was used to balance the texture. To start, we had the lobster bisque, but was completely different from any other bisque I had ever had, meaning the bisque was more like thick bone broth with a strong taste of bovine. Again, not ideal but still tasted decent. My husband had the mussels with fennel, saffron and chili oil, we felt this dish was better compared to the lobster bisque. The mussels were cooked perfectly. We would recommend the mussels. Our main entrees were the sea bass with asparagus, it tasted excellent and was cooked perfectly. It came with crab on top sea bass, which was a nice addition. The dish tasted great, the only down side was the portion size of the fish. We've eaten all over the world at seafood restaurants and felt the portion size was a bit small comparatively. This was obvious when our server suggested we order a side with our entree, but she didn't clarify the actual reason why - that the portion was on the smaller aide. Lastly, dessert was delicious. They called it, "Christmas on a plate." It's called Roasted White Chocolate Bavarian Cream. It was quite good. Not too sweet or dense. The spiced caramel with the cranberry cherry reduction against the ginger cake was fantastic. I'd highly recommend it. Overall we did have an enjoyable experience, but felt the service was more geared from Disney employees and not necessarily seasoned waiters. There was an obvious bias towards pass holders compared to non-pass holders, so that put a damper on the experience. But for my gluten allergen, I will say they took it serious and accommodated without any issues.

Yelp
My friend has been urging me forever to try this place out and so I am glad I finally did. It will definitely be one of my top restaurant recs for my clients in the future. I had the beets for the app and knew I was in for a good night from that moment on. For my main course I had the Potato-wrapped Red Snapper and oh my goodnessss. I have to admit I have always strayed away from Red Snapper and I decided to take a leap of faith because anything wrapped in potatoes is worth a try. It was absolutely amazing and I wish I hadn't decided to split it with someone haha. Next time I would have that all to myself. Our waiter was fantastic and very socialable. He even helped us take some group photos...I want to say his name was Mike but now I am drawing blank. I am bringing my husband next time for a date night! I am a fan :)

Yelp
Disney honeymoon, vegan and meat eater review: Ambiance - beautiful but crowded at 6pm on a Sunday night. We dressed nice but saw people in park clothes which seemed out of place. Overall 4/5 on ambiance. Food - I had the vegan salad and the vegan entree which was the shiitake mushroom and rice galette. This dish had excellent flavor and was very well seasoned. Just a very small portion for $40 for vegetables and rice. My husband enjoyed his strip steak, but was expecting better due to the hype of this dish. Wish they could offer more vegan options as a "galette" is not my first choice. Overall a 3.5/5 for food. Service - Nate was excellent. He was very nice and kindly gave us a free vegan sorbet for our honeymoon. No complaints here so 5/5 for service. Overall this was a good meal. Although this was very pricey. We had better meals on our trip so we might not return next trip, but will definitely keep this one in mind for the future. Not a bad option, just not great. 3.75/5 overall

Yelp
Fantastic food. The New York was fantastic. Loved the risotto. The bread and butter was fantastic. The Manhattan with the vanilla bean was great. The server could have been a little friendlier. He was a little stiff. He needed to relax and have some fun.

Yelp
Three of us had a reservation for 6:10 PM, we were sat right on time at a table in the rear of the restaurant. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. Our waitress Adriana was an 11 out of a 1 to 10. The bread and the butter are delicious. We had one cocktail and one glass of wine that were good. Lobster bisque was more of a broth than a bisque. The seafood pasta was a little bit cold, the flavor was OK, and there was very little pasta. Our granddaughter enjoyed the mac & cheese and fruit but unfortunately she did not eat the chicken. The restaurant has a great vibe and if you're not interested in decent size portions, this might be a place for you.

Yelp
This restaurant provides class and beauty from start to finish. The table was ready at the time of our reservation although we were early so we went out to the boardwalk to wait and watched some jugglers performing. When they texted us and we returned, they remembered us and ushered us through the exquisite dining room to a lovely two top. The ceiling is adorned with glass balls and flying fish in a wave pattern and the colors of the walls are deep blue, giving a sense of being surrounded by water. The serving ware has handled slightly sculpted to give a sense of fish tails, with carved scales in them. Our server came immediately and provided the menus and cocktail lists. My husband ordered an old fashioned and I ordered a vanilla Manhattan. His old fashioned was perfect but I found the Manhattan too creamy and too strong. I think this was a "me-issue" rather than a problem with the drink. But I wish I'd ordered a glass of wine. We then had appetizers. He got a salad which he enjoyed and I ordered the hamachi, served raw. I love raw fish and it was excellent quality - extremely thinly sliced and so tender. However, I had not expected the black pepper flavor of the sauce it was on to be so pronounced. There was a strawberry verjus which I'd looked forward to but I felt the pepper overwhelmed the fruitiness and the fish. I also hadn't realized that verjus isn't just a fancy word (haha) but that it is a specific thing made from unripened grapes so it's more acidic. I'd expected something sweet and instead found it quite tangy and spiced. We both ordered the potato crusted red snapper with leeks. I'd never tasted anything quite like it before. Definitely a strong flavor of leeks but also of almost a cheesiness from the caramelization of the potatoes. The potatoes were crispy and delicious but unlike any potato dish I've had. And the fish was the moistest fish I've had, with a lovely flakiness that provided an excellent contrast to the crispy potato. Unfortunately, I found the dish very rich, which my belly didn't like so I couldn't eat all of it. My husband loved it and finished mine! We were too full for dessert but since we had anniversary pins, they gave us a free little chocolate dessert which was artistically displayed and just the perfect amount of sweetness

Yelp
A M A Z I N G an Nate our waiter was amazing. We got in late. They couldn't find a reservation, but the manager was gracious enough to to give us a table right away. The food is simply amazing. Scallops are beautiful so were the steak and so was the Seabass I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Met some family for a special dinner at the Flying Fish. What an excellent place. We walked from the Swan hotel to the Fish and were promptly seated. I'm a food/kitchen nerd and, as fate would have it, we were seated next to the open kitchen. I was in my joy watching the grill master throw gorgeous steak after gorgeous steak on the grill. The sounds (sizzle), the smells, the sight, wow. We had cocktails and appetizers to begin. Everything was super tasty and most importantly, we had time and space to enjoy family time and catch up. We felt no rush or pressure to move along. Our waiter was quite good with his timing and took good care of us. We then ordered our meals and another rounds of drinks. Drinks and dinner arrived together. All of the dishes were excellent and prepared as requested. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My New York strip was crusted and rare/medium rare - I requested Chef's preference for steak temperature. I am glad I did. The crust was spectacular and the steak was juicy and delicious. It was a home run. I would recommend the New York Strip if you go. Others said the filets were good until they tried a taste of my NY Strip, to which they all agreed was the best of the table. We did not try any seafood which is odd considering the restaurant is called "The Flying Fish." So nothing to say regarding seafood but if the steaks are my indication of the skills of the kitchen, I am sure the seafood would be great. We wrapped with a shared dessert and headed out. It was a wonderful meal and great time.

Yelp
Of course everything in Disney is balls to the walls overpriced but I gotta admit.. it's because of the QUALITY. There was not a singular item I tasted during the week that was bad or even 'meh.' We had a lovely waitress, I believe April who took great care of us. We split the lobster bisque and the restaurant was amazing enough to split the portion into two bowls! Boo thang had the seafood trofie pasta and loved it. Looks small but had two portions out of it. I went light and had the pork belly which was fantastic- I only wish the outer skin was a bit more blistered and crispy. Finishing w the port wine flight was perfection and I'm def beginning to like port more and more.

Yelp
Flying Fish is located at Disney's Boardwalk. You really need a reservation, but you can always ask if they have seats. If you want to park here, you will need a reservation. My husband and I came here for Thanksgiving, and it was our first time. Wow! That is really all I can say. This was a fantastic meal and honestly, I cannot wait to go back. It is on the more expensive side, so special occasions honestly. This is not a place you go when you "don't feel like cooking". The inside was actually rather small. It was long but narrow. There are not a ton of tables, but it was very cozy. High tables and chairs, high booths, it was very elegant inside. They had beautiful chandeliers; everything was blue and gray. It is nautical and fishy; it's really just beautiful inside. Their kitchen is also open, which I love. They actually had a few tables right along the kitchen. You can see everything that is happening inside. The service was also impeccable. Chelsea was our server, and she was fantastic! She didn't hover but came at the appropriate times. She recommended her favorites, made conversation with us. It was a really great interaction. Your meal starts with bread. We were told a local bakery makes it for them, which was a little surprising to us, but still fantastic. It was a potato and olive sourdough bread, served warm. It was also accompanied by butter topped with Black Cyprus Sea Salt and parsley. This combination was absolutely fantastic. I have never enjoyed bread so much. It was hot, the butter melted immediately into the bread and the little hint of salt in the butter was just great. We opted for no appetizer but drinks instead. We started with an espresso martini for myself and a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives for my husband. Both were really great. The espresso martini even had a hint of lemon peel on it. For our dishes I ordered the NY strip served with Mille-Feuille Potato Gratin, Haricot Vert, Béarnaise Sauce. I substituted for asparagus. This was probably one of the best steaks I have ever had. The steak was seared and formed almost a crust on the outside. It was cooked to absolute perfection and the bearnaise sauce was so good. I asked for it on the side but honestly it could have been drowned in that sauce and I would have loved it. Mt husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass- which had Jumbo Lump Crab on top, Grilled Asparagus, Tarragon, Ras el Hanout Brown Butter. This was also very good. We love seafood and Chilean Sea Bass is one of our favorites. It was so silky and fork tender. It literally just flaked away. One of the best we have ever had. We also ordered a chocolate martini and a Manhattan. Both were also very good. The chocolate martini was so creamy and delicious. Honestly, I cannot say enough about this restaurant. It was really good. I can't believe it took us this long to go. It is absolutely beautiful inside, the kitchen is clean and open, they have tons of cast members working in the kitchen. The meal is served slowly but appropriate timing. Their options are limited but what they have is really great. It is absolutely in my top 5 Disney restaurants now. I cannot say enough about this! I know we will be going back, and I cannot wait to return. Make sure to ask to sit in Chelsea's section. She is just so fantastic as well. Great Job Disney on a fantastic restaurant!

Yelp
Last night my wife and I had Thanksgiving dinner at the Flying Fish, which is located at Disney's Boardwalk. This restaurant has been on our list for a while, to say we were excited would be an understatement. Upon arrival we checked in with the hostess, and then got seated immediately. The vibe can be described with one word, elegance. When you enter the dining area the first thing you'll notice, is the massive open kitchen and the culinary brigade. The decor is simply gorgeous, the chandeliers are works of art. Once seated our server Chelsea warmly greeted us. She gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. As we were looking it over Chelsea came back with potato and chive bread with butter with black cypress sea salt and parsley. I don't normally talk about the bread and butter during meal service... until Now. This was without a question the BEST I've ever had. The bread was nice and hot, the chive / potato combination is heavenly. When you spread the black cypress sea salt and parsley butter on the bread... nothing else can be said other than yum! Just outstanding. Ten minutes passes by and Chelsea returned and we were ready. For drinks my wife ordered an Expresso Martini and I ordered a Belvedere Dirty Martini. The drinks were made perfectly. For our entrees I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass( Jumbo Lump Crab, Grilled Asparagus, Tarragon, Ras el Hanout Brown Butter) This dish is the best I've ever had on Disney property so far. The Chilean Sea Bass was absolutely succulent and flaky. When you combine it with the crab...it is the delicious bite. The tarragon asparagus was crazy delicious. The asparagus was bright green and had a nice snap. The brown butter ties the entire dish together. My wife decided on the Char-crusted New York Strip(Mille-Feuille Potato Gratin, Haricot Vert, Béarnaise Sauce) She said this was the one of the best steak she has ever had. The strip was a perfect medium temp, the potato gratin was almost too pretty to eat... almost. Had a wonderful crust and maintained its creaminess. When I say this was one of our favorite meals, this is an understatement. It's was culinarily excellence.... I cannot wait to return to the Flying Fish. Thank you to Chelsea for being absolutely the best. Attentive, informative and funny. When we come back we definitely will as for you. Aces!

Yelp
I highly recommend flying fish for dinner, especially for their steaks. We have dined here many times before and after renovations and the decor is still amazing. The service staff was impeccable which made for a enjoyable dinner. I do appreciate them letting me bring my own wine as far as the steaks they were cooked perfectly, and the end of the desserts were outstanding. Special kudos for making child friendly dishes. The flying fish is probably number two on my list as far as favorite steakhouses in the Disney area.

Andy H.

Yelp
1/ entrance - the location is in Epcot Resort Blvd, and there is only one entrance to it. The traffic line up from the entrance all the way to the road, so get prepared to spend 20mins to just get in the blvd. There is only one person check all the cars so it definitely can be improved. 2/ once you get in, the experience is great. Seafood is all well cooked. Service, environment, refreshment, presentation all good.

Lana E.

Yelp
The restaurant is very discreet on the outside and when you get inside there's a wow moment at least we had it lol We didn't have reservation and just checked in for tables also we were a party of 7 and it was almost 5pm, so we were told unfortunately there was no available tables but we could sit at the bar which we did. The bar is kid friendly, very comfortable chairs and we were very nicely accommodated. The bartender Bill was absolutely amazing and actually everyone was very nice and helpful. We've ordered lobster bisque for everyone except kid who's got chicken noodle soup from kids menu and pasta marinara. The bisque was delicious. We were also served very authentic bread with potato inside which was very tasty especially with their butter. We weren't crazy hungry so we decided to get few appetizers and we've got pork bellies, beet and fruit, shrimp cocktail and shrimp scampi from the enhancements. Everything was pretty good and we really enjoyed our time

David C.

Yelp
The highlight of our dining ventures on a short visit to central Florida. We had heirloom tomato salad and the lobster bisque as starters. Both were delicious and they even split the soup into two separate servings so we could share. For entrees we had the potato crusted snapper and the seared scallops. Followed with a delightful Florida sunrise chiffon cake that was a perfect finish. Atmosphere and service were both excellent. Highly recommend you make a reservation and have a great dining experience.

April H.

Yelp
A must try!! One of my favorite fine dining places to enjoy in Disney World. Food, ambience and service are excellent. Makes going to the Magic Kingdom more worthwhile.

Lisa T.

Yelp
Spectacular! Everything! The service the food the ambience! We had such a wonderful time! My son's birthday! We had the 3 fish options! Red snapper, sea bass and salmon! All cooked perfect! All 3 were wonderful! Bread and butter so good! I am not a shrimp cocktail person and had a bite and loved it! Different unique sauces on all and all very good! The butter leaf salad was scrumptious! And grown on property! The tomatoes tasty like candy! So flavorful! Waiter was so attentive to my corn allergy and offered the chef to come see me which I declined but very thankful for the concern. We had white wine which was a very good Pinot. They serve a small amount to make sure you like it before they serve your glass. Table clothes nice added feature and even though we were out and about all day as long no shorts we didn't feel under dressed. The boardwalk is beautiful! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Hands down my new favorite signature dining restaurant on WDW property! I was blown away by everything - from the impeccable service to the delicious food to the elegant setting. The Vanilla Bean Manhattan had the perfect amount of sweetness while still being very strong. The Potato Wrapped Snapped is now my favorite entree in WDW - please do yourself a favor and order this! I will absolutely be back in the future!

Sam N.

Yelp
Avoid the charred new york steak. I heard alot of good things about it so I came here for that. Big mistake. Their steak quality was sub-par, not juicy or tender and they charred it way too much to the point where it was basically burnt on the top layer (and I usually LOVE a charred steak). The au gratin potato was crispy outside and fluffy inside, nice but not a true, creamy au gratin that I am used to and LOVE so that was disappointing. I have a video review of this on YouTube Disneyworld Vacationer and twitter DVacationer if you are curious. The waiter came and asked how everything was and I was honest and said I didn't like the steak. He offered another dish or for it to be redone. So I got another dish... Potato wrapped snapper is the thing to get here! Really good. Crisp outside, fluffy inside like it was a thick seabass. No fishy smell or taste, wonderful creamy leek fondue and red sauce underneath. I really liked this dish but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for it. There was almost too much leeks in the sauce as you can tell in my picture but the sauce was still good. Glad I got this dish but still, california Grill is the best signature restaurant on property but this is much better than steakhouse 71 which is not a signature restaurant . And don't get me started on Narcoosees (yuck!) The ambiance is very nice inside but nothing spectacular like california grill. Wait staff was great too. Solid spot if you are in the area for dinner.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite Disney restaurants. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant. It's $50+ an entre, which even by Disney standards is steep. I came here for a business dinner and took great joy in saying that there were no children in our party. I thought it was great that they sat us in a room in the back where they had other childless parties. I'm all for taking my young children to Disney restaurants, but I like being away from other young children when I don't have them. I thought this was a great idea. Here's what I got. Hamachi appetizer: It was delicious. Very light and delicate hamachi. Chilean Sea Bass: Another superb dish. It was on the smaller side, so I'm glad we had an appetizer and dessert or else I might not have been full. I would definitely order this again. The fish was so incredibly flaky that I cut it with my fork. Cheese Plate: I got this for my dessert since I'm not a huge sweets person and it was good. I'm more into creamy cheeses, so I wouldn't die to get this again, but it was a great alternative to a sweet dessert. Espresso Martini: This is one of my favorite espresso martini's to date. I'm not a huge connoisseur of them, but I found this was sweet without being too sweet. I would 100% get it again if I'm looking to stay up late. My coworker made the reservations and I had no issue on a Wednesday night just telling the guard at the booth of the Boardwalk that we had reservations. I just showed him my photo ID and he waved me on. I don't think I want to bring my children here, because it is a little more upscale than even the other upscale restaurants inside of Disney, but I definitely want to do an adult only dinner here again.

Yelp
Overpriced and mediocre dishes. Yelp and the staff recommended the potato wrapped red snapper (apparently the reason why people come here) and I cannot emphasize enough: don't get it unless you want to spend $60 for dry fish in a giant eggroll. The red snapper deserved better than to be fried like that. The dish I enjoyed the most was the Hawaiian hamachi appetizer, it was refreshing and had a lovely presentation. But the other dishes were either insufficient, or unimpressive. It has a beautiful interior which is expected for a disney restaurant. The service was attentive and decent. But because of the food, the experience left much to be desired. When we asked for recommendations, the staff pointed towards the priciest menu items and talked little about the flavor or profile of the dishes/drinks. Compared to the last place I ate with this price point, the staff was excited to tell us the story behind the dishes, the ingredients used and why it is on the menu. Flying Fish felt like a place that wanted your money more than it cared about serving good food.

Bethany G.

Yelp
Flying fish is probably on mine and my husbands top 5 places to eat at Disney after our first visit. The service was top notch with great recommendations, and atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful, and the food is some of the best we've tried at Disney. This is a must eat restaurant at Disney. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Dylan V.

Yelp
Just want to start off by saying I wish there was a separate rating system for service because Chelsea was AMAZING. She took great care of us, and we felt so comfortable with her. She took her time walking us through our choices and made sure we got what we wanted. The pork belly appetizer was fantastic! The fat was perfectly rendered and the flavor and textures were spot-on. I felt that the entrees were the weakest point. My lady ordered the strip medium and while the thicker part was a perfect medium, the other end of the steak was definitely on the upper end of medium-well. The shrimp, while cooked well, lacked seasoning. I had the potato wrapped red snapper. The flavor was there, but, as others have mentioned, the fish was a bit overdone to ensure that the potato wrapping was cooked through. They entrees weren't bad, but they were completely overshadowed by the appetizer and desserts because they were fantastic. The Bavarian cream dessert is one of the best I've had in recent memory, and the hazelnut-bar was also very good! I would definitely come back and maybe switch up the entrees. Can't stress enough how fantastic a server Chelsea was. Thank you for making our anniversary special!!

Yelp
Flying fish is located at the Boardwalk Resort at WDW. Its known for their assortment of seafood as well as their crusted New York strip. I came here on a Wednesday night around 6 and it was relatively crowded. Reservations are highly recommended. After checking in and waiting 10 minutes, I was seated in the back. The nice waiter walked me through the menu and after looking over the options, I went with the lobster bisque for my appetizer. The lobster bisque has chive oil and brandy. Its interesting because its different than a lobster chowder. Its very thin and has small pieces of lobster. It didnt have an enormous flavor of lobster, which might be why I prefer some type of chowder, but it was okay. They also have bread service for free, which is nice while you wait for the main course. For the main, I went with the Chilean sea bass. The waiter warned me that there was no carb, so I also got a side of mushroom risotto. The Chilean sea bass was cooked perfectly and had some lump crab on top. It comes with asparagus and a thin savory sauce. It was just cooked and flavored really well. The risotto on the side was very mushroom flavor filled and cooked well being soft but still retaining its texture. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was good, and the restaurant is just a really nice place to have a meal.

Yelp
The Flying Fish in Disney is always an incredible experience. Walking in the atmosphere is inviting and elegant. Even though it seems upscale, it feels inviting as I walk in with my yoga pants on lol Service is always warming and personable. Thank you Stephanie for the impeccable service! For sure coming here again!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for probably 10 years and since we were staying at Yacht Club for the holidays we decided to make it our Christmas meal. The night before we ate at Blue Zoo for the first time, which has similar type food, so we figured it would also be a good way to compare. Unfortunately this place left much to be desired and didn't live up to what I'd always hoped it would be. Let's start with ambiance: it was so bright in the restaurant it just felt like they forgot to dim the lights and it felt awkward. Plus with this being a high end dining establishment I expected there to be a dress code, but people were wearing sweatshirts and shorts, and it just didn't seem like something that would have been ok at Disney a few years ago. To some that make be great, but it's just not what I would have expected here. Service: our server was nice but I wouldn't say personable or very attentive. We just had a server the night before that was very attentive, gave recommendations on everything, and constantly checked in- this was not that by even the slightest. Again, sad for a Disney establishment. He also just took forever to come back or check in with us. Food: the bread was different as it had potato inside and was tasty. For appetizers we tried the lobster bisque and cheese plate. My partner liked the cheese plate, however we both did not like the bisque. It had a strange taste to it- not sure if tomato or what, but we couldn't finish it and it actually made me feel pretty bad for the rest of the evening. My partner said it was fishy, but to me it was just odd and I wouldn't recommend. For meals we tried the potato wrapped in red snapper and the char-crusted steak. The fish was very good. The steak was good, but wasn't something I could eat more than a few bites of. The seasoning on it resembled A-1 flavoring and it just wasn't for me but my partner really liked it. For dessert we tried the chocolate-hazelnut bar. Honestly, I loved this. It was so good! It reminded me of a Ferraro Rocher or one of those dark chocolate orange things. Drinks: we tried the vanilla old fashioned- good, pomegranate martini- good, peanut butter freeze- OK, but more a dessert and wouldn't order again - would choose another old fashioned over this. Would we return? No, doubtful. Recommend? Maybe to try the red snapper but otherwise, no. I'd recommend Blue Zoo over this place as the food, ambiance, service, and pricing were all just so much better and literally within walking distance.

Yelp
When I first dined at Flying Fish back in my early days of Disney vacationing, I wasn't really impressed with it. This was especially in view of the fact that this is considered one of Disney's Signature Restaurants - meaning that it was part of a group of eateries that offer a more upscale experience (with upscale prices). However, the restaurant underwent a major renovation about 7 or so years ago, and I really felt they stepped their game up and lived up to their Signature status. I had such a good experience during my last trip that I wanted to try it again, so I booked a table for my first night. Flying Fish sits on Disney's BoardWalk, and stands out by having bright neon signage and being right in the middle of the action. Walking in, you're greeted by the host stand which gives way into the main dining area. I really like the decor - it's an open space with subtle cool colors and overall upscale finishes. Since I was a party of one, I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar which I thought was a great option. The menu had a good variety of starters, seafood dishes, and a few land and veg options. But first, a drink - I decided to start with a blood orange margarita which was really great. It wasn't too strong, but was very refreshing and had great flavor. I decided to start with the oak-grilled romaine which was kind of like a wedge salad, except using romaine in lieu of iceberg, and charring the romaine to elevate it's flavor. I really enjoyed this - there were a lot of accents to the romaine and the dressing was creamy without being too rich. For my main I had the Chilean sea bass; this was excellent - the fish was light, flaky, and paired with crispy vegetables in a tasty sauce. My server told me that this was a lighter option on the menu which was exactly what I was looking for after a day of heavy eating. Service was great - I really appreciated the bar seating, I'm not afraid to dine alone but this definitely makes for a more comfortable experience. My server was great, attentive and made some great conversation. Overall, my latest experience at Flying Fish was excellent; in my opinion, this is one of the finest dining experiences on property and worth a trip to the BoardWalk to check out.

Yelp
Sooo after a long day of work while visiting Orlando for the first time, I thought I was joining my coworkers at some casual fish joint . Flying Fish turned out to be this beautiful & romantic restaurant that is breathtaking upon the first step in. The dark dim blues and opulent white bubble fixtures and the flying fish chandeliers gives off an "Under the Sea" vibe. We lived our best lives enjoying what I later read as the "best restaurant in Disney world ‍ The service was very lovely and our waiter recommended the Clos Alpata(deliciciously spicy & not much of a markup!) He waspolite, professional, and playful in tone with us. Favorite foods we got: Artisan Tasting was one of the best I've experienced at a restaurant Slow roasted pork belly marinated in spiced apple & cherry gastrique The most tender filet mignon atop a bed of asparagus and sweet onion risotto topped with truffle sauce (I had to add a tail too)

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night for dinner while staying at a nearby Disney resort. The restaurant is very well maintained with nice ceiling decorations and overall upscale ambiance. Our waiter was very attentive and even comped my wife's wine when she started to not feel well and had to leave a little bit early. The food overall was fairly good. We had the lobster bisque and pork belly for the appetizers and both were solid. I had the potato-wrapped red snapper since it came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. It might be a little heavy to some but it tasted unique and the snapper itself was flavorful. Overall a great experience and we will likely be back next time we're staying at the boardwalk.

Yelp
We returned to celebrate a birthday The recommended bottle of Pinot Noir paired well with each course The atmosphere, staff and cuisine make this a number 1 dining experience on WDW property

Yelp
My favorite restaurant to go to at Disney. Anytime I have family in town it's first place I take them. The cheeseboard is amazing, the sea scallops are cooked to perfection. The old fashioned is delicious.

Yelp
Second time we have been there, first time was last December with my mother. It was amazing!!! Second time to celebrate my Father n laws 83 rd Birthday. Amazing again. I had the potato wrapped red snapper, amazing. My father n law had the salmon and both my mother n law and husband had the filet. The service spectacular. The Boardwalk resort has free valet parking for handicap.

Yelp
It's been far too long since I have visited this beautiful restaurant, as soon as you walk in you feel like you stepped out of a resort hotel and into a New York restaurant. The food from the bread service all the way to the amazing dessert has great flavors and so fresh! The servers are all very knowledgeable on what wine pairs with your meal so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations.

Yelp
Had a reservation, they seated us within 5 minutes of the target time. Our waitress (or am I supposed to say server) KATIE was incredibly personable, knowledgeable and very attentive. We even had a change to speak with Chef Diego - also very informative and friendly, really embodies the "Disney" spirit and way of doing things. The Slow-roasted Pork Belly, was good but a little bland. The Seafood Trofie Pasta on the other hand was absolutely delightful - lots of seafood, flavorful and well seasoned. Our cocktails were made we (and strong but not overpowering)....overall a very enjoyable meal - would definitely recommend.

Yelp
My co workers and I were staying at the Dolphin Hotel and we wanted to venture to the Boardwalk and have dinner. This place looked great so we went inside and asked for a table for 3. Unfortunately, there was 1.5 hour wait, but they offered us seating at the bar. So instead of waiting we decided to sit there. The bar area has about 10 seats. We were a little disappointed at first since there was plenty of open seating, but our bartender made up for it. Joshua was absolutely amazing!!! He had worked here in the past and came back for one night since they were short staffed. We ordered a couple appetizers to share and our entrees. The appetizers were served quickly but since the entrees took quite a while, he said he would comp our next round of drinks, which we thought was very generous. I ordered the sea bass and I thought it tasted good, but was a little bland. I guess I expected more. I tried a bite of the salmon entree and it was very flavorful and tasty. We ordered a couple of desserts to share at the end of our meal because we were having such a great time chatting with Joshua. I think the desserts were just ok, nothing special. I felt like they tried too hard and it just didn't hit well for me. The cheesecake was not what we were expecting. It was light and there was no real crust, so definitely not a traditional cheesecake. And although the hazelnut bar tasted had a nice, rich flavor the lemon sorbet paired with it was an interesting touch...again, not my favorite. All in all, good meal, but if I went back I would order differently.

Yelp
First time here, went with friends of ours who had been there before, they suggested the potato wrapped red snapper & we had it topped with a lobster tail, it was very good. We also had the lobster bisque, that was good. The only thing I didn't care for was the menu was pretty limited. Not sure if I'd go back again.

Yelp
The restaurant is so beautifully designed, it was great walking through and noticing the details on the ceiling and throughout the restaurant. Our server, Izzi was a hoot and a half! He had great jokes and was very creative in helping us make plans for food that was satisfy all of our wants. We were celebrating a birthday and he made sure to make it as special as could be for my friend. I'd love to go back and have him wait on us again.

Yelp
Sadly, this was our worst meal during our five days in Disney. We arrived 15 minutes early and were told there were no tables ready, even though we could see tables opened that were open the entire time during our meal. our server was very nice, but he was very hard to understand and hear because it was loud in there. He wanted to take our order right away, but we were not ready and that seemed to throw off the timing of the entire restaurant experience (even though it was 8:20 at night and the place was not very full and he did not have many tables). When I asked him about which Chardonnay was the oakiest, he brings me three bottles of wine to try only one of which was an oaked Chardonnay and was the most expensive wine out of the Chardonnay glass options. The other two wines were also $25 glasses and one was a sauv blanc which is nothing like an oaked char. We ordered the cheese plate and beet salad appetizer, and there were four tiny bites of meat on the salad, clearly not enough to share. The cheese were very small and didn't really come with bread or anything to eat them with. The biggest disappointment was the time we waited after our appetizers came for our entrées. A table that was seated 15+ minutes after us was already finishing dessert before our entrées game. He tried to make some excuse up about the kitchen, but everyone else was getting food on time, we think he just forgot to put our ticket in after we ordered our apps But whatever excuse he made we couldn't really understand anyway. The food was ok. Very small portions. We were not impressed with the snapper encrusted in potato. It was log a deep fried log of fish. We wanted to try dessert, but we were so miserable with our experience at that point we just got our check and left as it was after 10 o'clock. This was by far not a signature dining experience. We had much better meals at the boathouse and Winebar George.

Yelp
Flying Fish is my GOAT 1B in case you read my California Grill review! Almost hidden on Disney's Boardwalk this place is just phenomenal. They start you off with complimentary bread service. The bread DOES have sea weed in it, but I am so F'ing picky and I do not notice it at all. The whip the hell of the butter and top it off with a black sea salt. Just perfect. Appetizers we had was lobster bisque, octopus, and grilled romaine salad. I did not get any apps but everyone loved theirs. For my entree I got the potato wrapped snapper with black truffle rissoto. I had them add on a side of shrimp and used the garlic butter to top off the shrimp and the snapper. That crispy potato wrapped around the snapper is so damn good and really takes the dish over the top. Throw in the garlic butter for the shrimp and we are on another planet. The filet and chilean sea bass were also great. For dessert, and I a, so unbelievably angry over this they took the cocoa breach off of the menu and it was hands down THE best dessert I have had in my life. I asked them about it and they said "It was our most popular dessert and a lot of people are complaining about it." I mean if it's the most popular dessert why on earth remove it? If that many people are complaining why do you still not have it? Just very weird. That honestly is what sets this right behind California Grill. Once, and or if this comes back then its number 1. If you're at Epcot FF is a quick walk. You can get the ferry boats over there too and it'll drop you off right in front. But as long as it's not 4,651,275 degrees...take the walk. See The Boardwalk. However you get there...just get there.

Yelp
Wonderful meal in a beautiful location! The decor is beautiful and fish themed silverware is a nice touch! The cocktails and amazing! Our waiter was top notch and very attentive. Had the mussels and lobster bisque as appetizers. They were both excellent. The scallops and sea bass were our entrees. Both were cooked perfectly and excellent!!! When we opted for no dessert our waiter still brought us a little chocolate treat at the end!! One of our favorite restaurants in Disney!

Yelp
After walking past Flying Fish on many of our trips, we finally decided to stop in, and it was well worth it! The dining experience was exceptional, with outstanding service and an upscale atmosphere that felt refined yet comfortably relaxed. If you're in the Boardwalk area, I highly recommend making a stop here!

Yelp
We chose this place for the dinner of our first day in Orlando. The restaurant has good atmosphere and offers course choices and wine selection on the high side. We ordered octopus, seafood pasta, red snapper and chocolate bar. Overall the food is good but not amazing that would cost $50 dollar for a main course. Potato wrapped red snapper seems to be a popular dish but to me it loses the taste of the fish and sauce is a bit heavy. The octopus's presentation is a little off, instead of being put in a bowl and a white plate should just work nicely.

Yelp
Flying Fish is located at Disney Boardwalk so you don't need park admission to dine here. You can book ahead using the My Disney Experience app. We had dinner reservations here last night and started out with a couple round of drinks Nextdoor at Abracadabar. Flying Fish also has a beautiful bar area that's first come, first served and they offer the full menu at their bar. We started out with the Spanish Octopus and were pretty disappointed with it. Based on the photos from other Yelpers, our portion looked very small. It had a good flavor but it was room temperature too so I guess it had been sitting for a while before it was brought to our table. I would try the lobster bisque next time in its place. For entrees we ordered the sea bass and potato wrapped red snapper. The snapper is one of my favorite dishes on property because it's such a unique dish. It's hearty and pairs well with the leeks. I had it with a glass of Riesling but it could definitely go with chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. My boyfriend loved his sea bass but I've had better sea bass dishes before. We skipped dessert here and walked into Epcot for dessert at the Ireland food & wine festival booth. Overall, this restaurant is absolutely stunning and still one of my favorites on property. Once inside, you don't feel like you just walked off a boardwalk.

Yelp
What a gem! The Flying Fish is known as Bob Iger's favorite restaurant and I can see why. The atmosphere is elegant, yet welcoming. The lobster bisque was fantastic (you have to get it), as was the pork belly. The NY Strip was also cooked very well and the additional side of scallops made the meal very filling and savory. This was our first time dining here and we will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner reservations for the night of October 10th to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Because of the hurricane passing through two days before I did check several times to see if our reservation was in place. It was never canceled. So, we got all dressed up and walked over there from our hotel only to be told by a rather rude young lady that the restaurant was closed and I said we had reservations and no one canceled them. She just struggled her shoulders and said the restaurant next door is open but they have a long wait list. Not even an apology or let me see if I can get you a table somewhere else. No Disney Magic there!

Alejandra M.

Yelp
Amazing dinner tonight at Flying Fish at Disney's Boardwalk! Dinner started with drinks, a bread service with the most delightful whipped butter. Appetizer was a cheese course with a surf and turf dinner (filet with risotto for Jessy, Chilean sea bass with blue crab for Alex). We did get dessert but we got it to go as we were stuffed... We'll be trying the Key Lime Cake at home. I highly recommend Flying Fish for any occasion, and our server, Adriana, was delightful. We'll be asking for her when we go back.
