The whole menu here is vegan, and the pretty little dining room with plant-inspired artwork is perfect for date night. Came here for the Valentine's Day dinner, first time trying it. First I'll say the positives. Two of the dishes were pretty good, the celery root with mole and the chocolate cake. Celery has a nice texture and deep flavours in the mole. Chocolate cake was fluffy, creamy and delicious. The flower bouquet was also a nice touch. The pasta was okay, good texture but lacking flavour. Otherwise, the experience was just okay. Food was mostly underwhelming, for the price point and dining style I was expecting either more complex flavours or uncommon cooking techniques, but the menu was mainly simple flavours and basic preparation, either seared, roasted or poached veggies with some sort of sauce. The Tempura tasted like old fryer oil, which was pretty disappointing, feel like the dish could've been a standout if it was fried in fresh oil. I will say the leek wellington was well executed, stood out as the most impressive dish from a technique standpoint. Service was fine but nothing special. All in all it was just okay, some hits and some misses, but I definitely expected more

Folke is hands-down one of Vancouver’s finest vegan restaurants ~ chef-inspired, haute plant-based cuisine in Kitsilano. I love this place. It’s wonderful for dates or small groups. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are very informed, and the food ~ that’s where Folke really shines. I’ve always done the Chef’s Tasting Menu, so the dishes are different every time, which is exactly what I recommend. The Tasting Menu's can be done in a variety of course sizes as well, like if you don't want dessert. Excellent wine selection and fun cocktails, and your server is more than happy to help pair drinks with whatever you’re having. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Delicious delicious delicious! We chose the "lettuce cook!" Six course meal and buy was it wonderful. After dish four, I could of eaten everything again. It was interesting, flavourful and the perfect amount of food. Highly recommend!

Best Best Best , everything about Folke from food to service is top notch. We chose to have 5-course tasting menu. And every single dish was full of unique flavours and made us wonder the creativity of chef. How amazingly each ingredient is paired to bring out the best. Must visit restaurant for some great vegan food.

I recently booked Folke for a social brunch for a large group and it was a lovely experience. We had a group of 8 and there was no issues accommodating us. We got to sit and chat without feeling rushed. The food and service were both excellent and the vegans & omnivores were all very happy. I recommend checking out the Cake Bar and getting it to go.

This is a standout restaurant, with great food and service! We selected the 8 course tasting menu and were bombarded with different flavours, textures, and smells. The drinks menu isn't overly huge, but what they offer is very good. Each dish was delicious. There wasn't any "heavy" dish (except for the pasta at the end) but we were stuffed. Favorite dish was the beet tartar: nice balance of the sweet beets with slightly sour black currants. The olive oil crackers used to scoop up the beets were very good. While not a separate dish, the garlic "butter" accompanying the sourdough was amazing! Great flavour. Service is top notch spanning the service staff to the chefs, who bring out each dish and explain in detail what you will devour. As noted on the menu, there is not tip that is required. Folke pays its staff a living wage so tips are not expected to be supplementing their incomes.

It was my parents’ 56th anniversary and the Folke people treated us well. The food was excellent. The presentation alone was a work of art. We ordered the small tasting menu. I didn’t think it was going to be enough food since each course was so small, but we were all stuffed by the end. The restaurant is a bit pricey for me to go all the time, but it is a great choice for special occasions.

We had our wedding at Folke last month, and the whole experience was incredible! From first talking to Pricilla to the end of our wedding night, the amazing team at Folke made our vision of the evening come true. We couldn’t have been happier! The food was absolutely amazing. We did a tasting menu and dessert bar. They were accommodating with allergies so everyone could eat safely. We’d highly recommend a private event here! Thank you guys so much!
