"FoMu, the plant-based ice cream company, has three locations across the city. All of them are currently open for takeout and yes, delivery, which might be some of the most positive news we’ve heard in a while (sorry, John Krasinski). Flavors include lemon meringue pie, sweet lavender, peanut butter cookie, and dulce de coconut." - joel ang

"FoMu is an entirely vegan ice cream spot, with four different locations across the Boston area. While we’ve sometimes found vegan ice cream to have a strange consistency, that’s thankfully not the case here. The “Grasshopper Pie” flavor, which is essentially mint chip, is one of our favorites - though we certainly wouldn’t complain if we happened to be gifted a peanut butter cup ice cream cake." - Joel Ang

"Fomu — best known for its vegan ice creams, frappes, and other sweet treats — opens Friday, March 22, at 140 Brookline Ave., across from the movie theater. The Fenway store joins others in Allston, Jamaica Plain, and the South End, and it’s located near the site of a previous long-term Fomu pop-up. Founded in 2012 by Deena Jalal, Fomu serves a selection of ice creams that are free of egg, dairy, and other animal-derived products. Most flavors start with a coconut base, but some use cashews, almonds, or fruit. There are both standard and seasonal flavors, including vanilla bean, salted caramel, and chocolate pudding. The Fenway cafe will sell ice cream along with smoothies, frappes, baked goods, ice cream cakes, and to-go ice cream pints." - Dana Hatic

"A popular local group of vegan ice cream shops will expand its reach in Boston: Fomu will take over the former Emack & Bolio’s space in the Fenway neighborhood, opening at 140 Brookline Ave., between Starbucks and West Elm. It’s steps from one of Fomu’s previous long-term pop-up locations." - Dana Hatic

12/10!!! there’s lots of creative flavor options & the texture is very thick/creamy, I’d recommend the mint & pancake flavors! I didn’t tell my friends we were getting vegan ice cream & at some point while we were enjoying, the conversation turned to “I could never be vegan because I could never give up this” 😆 & then they all were even more impressed. The cakes looked insane too, gonna get one for my birthday

The fact that they don’t write on cakes and it is not noted on their website I did not like. A little pricey for a cake considering the size and how they’re just readily made. The cake did taste good, but if you don’t like coconut I wouldn’t suggest. This was a cake for my birthday and aside from everything else it didn’t not disappoint.

If you're searching for an exceptional dessert located within a quick walk from Fenway Park - look no further. This place is the real deal! I've been fortunate enough to have tried almost half of their menu, and the majority of their seasonal autumnal offerings. The "Apple Cider Doughnut", the "Pumpkin Pie", the "Grasshopper Pie", and the staple "Coffee" flavor were all phenomenal. The ice cream was creamy, the toppings were plentiful - each unique flavor has a nearly perfect balance of excellent texture, crumble, consistency, and the freshness could be both tasted and observed. I will certainly be visiting again to try the ice cream sandwiches as well! Thank you for providing such an excellent shop with a bit of thoughtfulness, creativity, and locally conscious practices!

Pricey for small quantity but so flavorful. You can split scoop to 2-3 flavors too!

Quite possibly the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted. WOW!!!! And it’s vegan! All of it!!!! Strongly recommend this for vegans and non-vegans alike! And they have freeze dried ice cream! Childhood re-lived.

I was very surprised when the sign said 100% plant-based. The ice cream itself was way too tasty and creamy — I would never have guessed there’s no milk in it. I got half strawberry rubarb and half birthday cake flavor which was a good combo. Extra points for the service, lady was super friendly! Would definitely go here again and I recommend you do too even if you think you won’t like non-dairy ice cream (trust, you will).

Staff member was friendly. Tried a few samples and settled on a small cup of apple cider doughnut and pumpkin caramel. Flavors were great and so creamy! Was told they were coconut milk based (I couldn't taste the coconut, in case you were wondering if it overpowered the ice cream flavor). The small size was more than enough for me, and I like ice cream!
