Footprints always looks out for the community and the students I represent. We often order catering from them and it is always a hit. The rasta pasta, oxtails and honey garlic wings are our go to this time we took a class trip for lunch and learn and foot prints handled our request lovely and Ms. Tricia was perfect. Thank you for everything every time and for being a community pillar

My second time here and the experience wasn't great. Wasn't crowded yet the server took a minute to get to us. The Lychee Margarita was very good and the rum punch was strong. The jerk wings could've been cooked a little longer. The rasta pasta was delicious. However, the piece of steak that was ordered with it was extremely fatty (picture provided) with little to no meat on it. Spoke to the manager and her explanation was "that's how it's purchased from the butcher and we trimmed all the fat off, then there would be no meat on it" but it was FAT not MEAT. Very disappointed.

My significant other has been telling me about this place for three years. Had to enjoy this gym of Caribbean food. The service was quick and fast. You have to wait to be seated very professional. The ambience is very romantic and beautiful. The food was to die for almost fell out of my chair. The order consisted of two rum punches and they poured heavy so B wise drink water after. The order consisted of roti with goat and chicken and oxtails. My favorite was the roti. I cannot wait to go back and try the Calypso wings and an assortment of every dish. You will definitely get your moneys worth at this restaurant. Top-notch 10 out of 10.

*Disappointing Experience* I recently ordered food from them and I was really let down by the food quality. NOT ONLY was my dish UNDERCOOKED and lacking flavor, but they also sent us the wrong food entirely. When I raised these issues with the manager, I was met with indifference and no resolution, the manager was was extremly rude and "so typical" Overall, it was a frustrating experience all over, and I won’t be returning.

We come here almost every month with my Senior Center as they love the food. It is great and Carla is wonderful. She makes us feel comfortable and we enjoy spending the day with her in the restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality from me and the center.

It’s disheartening to see a place with potential fall short in both food quality and customer care. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this restaurant based on my experience. There are plenty of other dining options that value their customers and handle issues with professionalism.

Awesome Food! I will go here again. Me and my family enjoyed the food and drinks. The waiter, bus boy, host and hostess were all welcoming, professional and friendly. Very clean. Great atmosphere.

The food and drinks were good. However, the esthetics can be improved. The wall color and furniture are too dark for the dim lights. The ceiling needs painting, and the furniture can use some repairs or wiping down.

$18 for tequila (Espalon) & pineapple juice. I guess they think that Thor Equities is still building glass condo's here? Staff is surly, bordering on unfriendly. Portions are small, & Footprints is already known for being afraid of seasoning. The reggae was so quiet I cld barely hear it. Three stars instead of 1 b/c they are the only JA restaurant around for miles.

This is a hidden treasure... the food is amazing! The location is even better and the service is pretty good! Not a big fan of the ambiance... the place could use an uplift! But it's well kept with a good staff.. Great place for some good Caribbean food and chill vibes..

Came here last night with a few girlfriends to celebrate a special occasion. I ordered the Bourbon chicken and shrimp with Cajun spice and it was pretty good. I felt the shrimp and chicken should have had like a spicy sauce to it but overal couldn't complain. Service was pretty decent and our waiter was very sweet to us and accommodating. The ambiance is definitely lively to go into and they play upbeat music. Next time I'll try their Rasta Pasta which my friends tried.

As a Caribbean I like to try the basics before venturing through the menu. Both goat and oxtail awww delicious and portions were perfect. Out of the way from my stopping ground but definitely a place you should try and if your looking for Caribbean this is your spot

My grilled chicken in my salad was half raw. I alerted the waitress after my first couple bites . I showed her the pink. She said " OH NO" as she took my plate away . The manager fid not apologize. She just gave me a free drink. She was very matter of fact . Ive been going there for years on & off . That was definitely a first

Didn't like the experience. With the food, and other customers that were there. Just skip this place and get food at the boardwalk. -Food was not so great -The place is very dark lighting and was very dead... that should of warned me why the place wasn't full of customers (especially since it's right across Coney Island beach/boardwalk)

Service was the worst.... Nothing like the other branch.... The food wasn't nearly as good and the entire staff needs to be fired!

The food was amazing. My only complaint is the consistency of the food. I had oxtail on a Wednesday and the meat was falling off the bone. When I went the next day the oxtail was a lil bit tough. Overall my experience was great!!! Always a treat when I visit my hometown.

we ate here for the first time and it will definitely not be the last! to be honest, we didn't have high expectations given some of the reviews but we were floored by how good the food was, and the amount you get at such an affordable price. our server, taurean, was very nice, respectful and attentive despite being the only server on shift. we ordered the coconut shrimp ($9.50), jerk chicken ($10), steak fried rice ($21.50), and stew chicken ($10) -- all were super delicious! entrees were ginormous and we had enough leftovers for a 2nd meal. shoutout to whoever created their playlist of 90s/00s r&b. we have a pretty good jerk chicken spot in our neighborhood but footprints definitely blows them out the water...so much so that we'll probably try the other footprints location closer to us.

I had the grilled jerk chicken pasta and the portion sizes were very large. The food was tasty and hot when it arrived using a delivery app. I will be ordering again!

Our waiter was really friendly. We got the garlic flat bread to start and it was just what I was looking for. Then I ordered the Rasta pasta with Cajun chicken and it was spicy, creamy and well seasoned. Even tho we were in and out cause it was near close , I left full and happy.

1 star because we survived and didn't die from the food. Brace yourself this is about to be a long one. Decided to make a trip to this Footprints restaurant because the one on Clarendon is always a busy nightmare. Now, let me start off by saying that I try to support Black owned establishments when I can but honestly in 2024, I will no longer throw away money if service is not up to par. You can get away with operating below standard when you are still being patronized we must do better. Walked in on Monday figured it wouldn't be busy. First, you are greeted (actually not greeted) by the hostess because she was helping other patrons with a take out order and attending to mobile orders as well. When she finally acknowledged us we were escorted into the restaurant and seated. We were the only customers in the restaurant. No one else. Our waiter came over with menus and water. We looked over the menu and settled on the veggie egg rolls as an app, one veggie Rasta Pasta with extra broccoli and one Rasta Pasta with fried salmon. Oh and we each got a drink, a "Brooklyn" Long Island Iced Tea and something called a Chi Chi. Appetizer was good it was callaloo, potatoes and chickpeas in an egg roll wrapper. Did come out lukewarm not hot. Again, we were the only customers in there not like the kitchen was bustling. Then the drinks come out. Ok, so my drink was basically like a watered down lukewarm pina colada with barely any alcohol present. His drink tasted like rubbing alcohol both were supposed to be made with Top shelf liquor and they were not. When we raised this issue to the waiter who was also the "bartender" he said that my drink was made with well vodka and his drink was different. What do you mean different? "It is different. Made with different alcohol" said the waiter/bartender. We didn't press the issue because our food was still being made in the back and you know... We are looking around and just saying that some housekeeping and a possible renovation would do this restaurant some good. Alas, our food comes out. It was lukewarm like the drinks and the appetizer. Why is the food not hot? We are still the only customers here! His Veggie Rasta Pasta didn't have any veggies in it other than red peppers and carrots and a side of broccoli because the waiter didn't want it to get "soggy"...huh? My Pasta was ok the salmon was a bit over cooked. Our waiter/bartender was behind the bar sneaking in some bites of food (definitely not sanitary). Finally came over to ask how everything was. We again ask about the drinks, he offers to add a shot into my drink. I took it but honestly it didn't salvage it. All in all we didn't die and lived to tell the story. The people needed to know. This restaurant was basically the restaurant that was always at the forefront when mentioning Rasta Pasta. What happened?

Popped in for the first time at this location over the summer. It's a pretty large space. The service was good. The food was good too. A sorority sister who happens to be Jamaican was visiting. She was very pleased.

I haven't been to the restaurant since Covid but now or the food to be delivered. I don't know why they got such a low rating, but my Mother's Day dinner yesterday was delicious! I cannot complain about the food because they always give you great portions, the food is tasty and you never disappointed.

Worst hospitality ever. 2 fat bartenders refused to serve me a drink at the bar at 9:10 pm & they close at 10 pm. They told me I had to order to go. Don't take me 45 minutes to sip a drink... stink attitudes! Never again.... It's not the same... it sucks!!! Need a course on hospitality & stink free face attitudes are not allowed, especially if the place is not busy. I've been coming to footprints since day 1. Not no more thanks to the mean staff looking at you like you, an alien. I walked my behind to hook & reel where I was welcomed without any attitudes. Really was offended about their whole demeanor they should be working at McDonald's drive-through with those stink faces/attitudes

Food is amazing, husband and I get the Rasta Pasta, rice and peas and jerk chicken. Food is authentic and always great. They do take longer than usual but overall it's amazing food and the people working there are so nice. Definitely will be coming back- great atmosphere

Don't waste your money here. The food and service quality was terrible. For a table of 4 having to pay a 17% gratuity you would assume to receive good service. Instead what we got was mediocre. No one checking in on us offering water refills or even asking how the food was. We even had a spill at our table due to my younger brother knocking over a glass. And this women was sitting there just staring us down and didn't even get up to help us clean up the mess. When she saw everything happen until I asked her for napkins or something to clean it up. She comes by and brings 3 napkins which obviously was not enough until the actual hostess comes by and grabs paper towels. Then comes the food, our Rasta pastas were all served cold honestly I think they just put it in the microwave. And then we got jerk chicken and THERE WAS NOTHING JERK ABOUT IT. I've eaten plenty of jerk chicken in my life and what I had today was awful and the worse "jerk" sauce I've ever tried. On top of that the chicken was dry inside. I would not recommend this place at all.

I ordered the jerk work tie fried rice It was really good with a side of fried plantain and avocado with the mango lemonade everything was very well done. It is directly across the street from Coney Island the amusement park. There's also a parking lot about two blocks down $30 for the day because parking is non existent with all the construction nearby and the amusement park traffic.

Never eat here. Their food sucks, this place only leads to disappointment and a mild stomach age

Haven't been here in ages. Was my go to years ago when cj was the bartender. Came in today after hook n reel fucked up. This wasn't what I wanted but I def enjoyed my food vegetables with Rasta pasta and a margarita. The Rasta pasta and veggies were so good and fresh I know they've fallen off over the years but today I was not disappointed. The margarita was mid at best maybe if fresh ingredients were used it would have been better but the food was fresh cooked to perfection I fucked that shit up the veggies had butter on them. I won't be back soon but I was not disappointed.

5 's for Presentation - I mean seriously just look at the picture of my grilled salmon with Rasta pasta! 3 's for Service - we sat at the bar and the waiter was friendly, engaging and made drink suggestions based on how "tipsy" we wanted to get. He would have gotten 5 stars for offering to change my food or offer a discount when I complained about the food quality. He did apologize but that was as far as it went. 1 for the food - I'm a loyal Footprints patron at the Clarendon location so I was expecting the same food quality. Boy was I mistaken!! It was early Sunday afternoon and the place was empty or I would have blamed the poor quality on the idea the cooks were busy but NO! Only 4 people in the restaurants and my food came out lukewarm. The pasta did not have that same "flavor" I expected would match the other location. My salmon was waaaaay over cooked, dry and hard. I was in a rush to an event so I didn't have time to make a huge stink about the poor quality. I will NEVER visit this location again!

Food isn't good! They gave me the smallest portion of jerk chicken ! If they didn't have anymore chicken they should've never accepted the order .

My favorite Caribbean spot at all times !!!! I can come here a million times and will never get bored of my combo, virgin pina colada and oxtail Rasta pasta! Absolutely favorite! Also love the beef patties app!

I've heard people talking about this place for years so I had to try it! I was expecting great food but it was mediocre at its best! Ordered a large Oxtail Entree & also a curry chicken Entree both were filled with rice and a quarter of the meat which would've been ok if the food was good. The oxtail was better than the curry though! Spent $6.50 for a side of macaroni pie & received literally one scoop. Pic included! Will not be back!

This little cafe is nearly hidden with the scaffolding set up along the buildings, but it was fantastic! We had Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken, Rasta Pasta with veggies, and a seafood pocket. Everyone really enjoyed the food, especially the pasta. This cafe is definitely worth stopping in to give it a try if you're in the area and want some good Caribbean food! Service was fantastic too, hostess and waiter were both extremely nice and our waiter was very attentive!

Trash! Sat down and waited 45 minutes for lady to drop off 4 cold mini beef patties and corona that was almost room temperature. Lady looked like I was bothering her by just being there. I'm sorry you been there a whole hour since opening and you're already over it. That joke about Jamaican restaurants is corny because it's legit true! Not to mention I'm getting a attitude for sub par food!!!! That's crazy! I wouldn't take this nonchalant attitude at a restaurant in the city. So it's not cool when your own people do it to you! BTW When I walked in solo there was only 2 other customers in the store. When I finally tell them I'm over this I'm out another lady tries to tell me my food ready... too late. Im over it. Im done. This place is dead to me.

Coney Island does have some delicious food choices; however, very little to no high quality sit down restaurants, so when I went out to lunch with some coworkers who raved about this place I was very excited; unfortunately, I was left dissappointed with my expierence. I ordered the shrimp stuffed chicken breast with rasta pasta, and I was told that it took a little bit longer to cook because of the preparation involved with it. I just KNEW it was going to be SMACK, because in my mind time = care when it comes to food prep. When it came out it looked pretty good, but the chicken was dryer than the Sahara Desert, and tougher than Flloyd Mayweather Jr. going 12 rounds. I was struggling to even cut it with my knife, and there was barely and shrimp inside. I had to send it back, at that point I just got the rasta pasta with no meat, but that was just okay to me, nothing special. I will say that the service was pretty alright and they took the food back with no problem. In addition, the cornbread they serve you before hand was pretty tasty as well. I also got an order of jerk chicken Strips, but they were just okay as well. Overall, I really wanted to like this place but the expierence just fell flat for me.

Delicious dishes and friendly staff. I had the escovietch king fish with bammy and a side of fried breadfruit. It was delicious, savory and satisfying! The fish was a good serving, enough for two. The escovietch pickle was just right. The bammy was tasty and the breadfruit was fried well. The next dish was the oxtail with Rasta pasta. That was polished off quickly. The pasta was nice and creamy and the oxtail was cooked to perfection. The Cajun chicken and Rasta pasta was a yummy dish topped off with a healthy side of fried plaintains. We will be back! my compliments to the chef and lovely staff.

I try to support my people as much as I can, but this experience was ridiculous. Because a star is required to post, I gave it the only one apropos given portion size and (according to others) taste. Arrived and the place was empty, give or take two parties on the first floor. I assume there were no parties upstairs as 1. No one but employees ever emerged from the area and 2. Anyone who came in was given a downstairs location to sit. Some of the party put in appetizers. Everyone put in their meal requests. Nothing crazy, just asked for seafood or chicken. Waiting. I'm vegan and this place does not cater to me, so I was resolved on not eating here anyways, but hungry enough that I finally put in an order for a salad. A salad with fruit on top, but still just a salad. More waiting. While waiting, we did some observations (as one does when hungry and feeling neglected). The chairs and tables needed upholstering and upgrades as they seemed to be falling apart. The UberEats orders were flying out the door. Yet still we waited. Waited about 40 minutes for appetizers. Not the full meal, but appetizers. Asked if the appetizers were on the way, assured yes and waited 15 minutes before they actually did. Drinks were done at this point, but nothing including water was ever replenished. Angrily waiting, but now it's getting late so the chances of eating elsewhere are slim to none. Over an hour later, the rest of the party received their dishes with no salad to boot. My little ol' salad with fruit on top came out about 1.5 hours after having put in the order. I am so totally disappointed and disgusted that words cannot describe it. The only positive things that can be said are that the portion size is aplenty and was told the meals themselves were tasty. As for me? I bit into a tasteless mango, and quickly decided I I had to pay for the little piece of misfortune given to me, it would be put to better use in a smoothie than eaten raw. Additionally, when the salad arrived, I was more than ready to go. This will be the last time I visit the establishment. Should have stuck to my guns about not eating there and pushed back when the birthday girl said she wanted to go there. Despite the reported taste of the food, would not recommend and a definite no for vegans. There are other, better, and more accommodating Caribbean restaurants in Brooklyn.

We stopped here after the Coney Island Aquarium with our 8 month old and had a very filling and delicious meal. Authentic Jamaican flavors, easy vibes and music, and plenty of space for the stroller. Not to mention every drink you could ever want. The service was fast, professional, and fun. Our little one even took a nap!

While hanging out at a yelp event at the Coney Island Brewery a fellow elite spoke highly of this place, so we decided to come here for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor of this place once I walked in. I was also a big fan of the layout and beautiful colored lights they have behind the bar and the best part is the music they blast. Despite the beautiful interior, it just doesn't make up for the terrible service. The employees are polite and cool but are extremely unorganized. After being sat at our table it took what felt like forever for someone to come over to our table. I couldn't even tell you who my waiter was because we had about three different people take our drink and food order. The worst part about the service was when one waiter took our order, we waited for a bit and about 30 minutes later another waiter came over stating that the first waiter forgot what we ordered so he needed to retake our order. If it wasn't such a patient person I would have walked out. SERIOUSLY!!! Almost a half hour after we originally ordered, you're going to ask us what we ordered??? The only savior of the night was the food. I went with the Rasta Pasta with Jerk Chicken (white meat for $1 more) and it was so good. My friend went with the Rasta Pasta and Salmon which I had a chance to try and I enjoyed her fish as well. They also brought out some cornbread with butter which was a pleasant treat. The food isn't the problem with this place, it's their service in my opinion which seriously needs to be addressed after my experience and reading other reviews. Friends who have been here in the past tell me it was way better before but for some reason Footprints has went downhill. The food here is worth giving it a chance but keep in mind that you might experience terrible service.

Footprints just fell off. All the way off. Cold food. The restroom floors were wet on the first floor so I used the second floor. The atmosphere just wasn't the same. It use to have homey feel when visiting. You are not the home of the Rasta pasta anymore. That's not Rasta pasta it's Alfredo. The coconut shrimp was saturated in oil and the goat was all bone. The drinks were the best and the service too! My server was very polite and aware of her tables.

The establishment was infested with fruit flies. The appetizer wings were fried to the bone and had the audacity to pour brown sauce on it to dress it up. I ordered the Red Snapper it was fried as opposed to broil with brown sauce poured to over the smell of fish and smothered with roster pasta that was watery. It was a poor experience I wouldn't recommend this place if you want a good meal.

This was my first time at a FootPrints. It was a Sunday at 1pm. I had wanted the Rissotto Arrabiata with Jerk Chicken & Wild Mushroom but was told that they no longer offer that item. I settled on Rasta Pasta with Cajun Chicken Breast. I also experienced the "Karen" type of service that other Yelpers wrote about which may explain why I was the only customer during an extremely crowded time outside the door on the boardwalk on Memorial Day weekend. I don't think they understand the concept of tips. I enjoyed my meal while listening to very loud Tina Turner and other music as they kept changing the station every 5 minutes and watching "One On One" sitcom on Cleo TV. I was about to slam the place on Yelp but then the food turned out to be top notch amazing. The pasta was spicy while the chicken was as thick as a 12 oz burger. It would had been 5 stars if there wasn't also a history of lackluster service culture and awkward feelings.

Average food. Incredibly high prices. Footprints Cafe is a classic. Just wish you could get decent service here. That and some better prices for sure. First I know it's a tourist area. It's right outside Coney Island. This place gets most of its business in summer. Consistently they have seemed unprepared to handle some customers. Even when it's not busy and you're about the only one there, you can expect a long wait. It's crazy because the food isn't anything memorable. The food is mostly like typical bar food with fried and greasy stuff. I came in the last time on a warm fall day with my friend. I ordered the Alize Gone Bananas that was on the drink menu. This was actually really good and by far the best part. It's about $10 or more for a cocktail. That's kind of expensive but it's typical around here. Even though it's not exactly a fancy place, it still is a popular area. They can get away with prices like that. Apparently they can also get away with ridiculously high priced food. I had the Tofu And Vegetables. This had your choice of how you want your tofu prepared, plus some very bland vegetables. It's about $15 for the whole thing, which is crazy. There's not that much tofu. It was mostly broccoli and carrots. We were both unhappy with the food in both price and taste. I would choose another place to eat when at Coney Island. Keep your feet moving past it. There's better food and prices.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE DONT EVEN BOTHER.... RUDE INCOMPETENT MANAGER We just went there at 8:15pm tonight. Restaurant was barely full with at least 5-6 empty tables ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. We called ahead to make sure we had a reservation for two. After explaining myself several times, I was told we could just walk in and there would be a table for us. We arrived 45mins later to a half empty place. We were told dispute there being several tables available, that we needed to sit at the bar because they do not seat two people at a 4 top. I explained that as a restauranteur myself that I'd never heard of such a policy when the Restutaunt is empty. I asked to speak with a manager and the woman said that she was indeed the manager. She said "I'm sorry you feel that way but that is our company policy". I have been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and I've never experienced such a thing or poor classless handling of an easy resolvable situation. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE OR ANY OF THE OTHER RESTAURANTS OWNED BY THIS Restutaunt GROUP. What an embarrassment to Caribbean dining. This is the exactly reason Caribbean restaurants have a bad reputation for poor service. This place is everything that is wrong with Caribbean owned restaurants in New York. Ridiculous. Never going back here.

Went to eat with my girl. Say for over an hour just to be told that the system was down sn our order was never placed. Unacceptable. Exapecially when the waiter 30 minutes in said it wasn't placed. So why we still waiting an extra 30 minutes. We walked out and left the place. Poor service and horrible staff.

Back in my Brooklyn days this was my go to spot if I felt in the mood for shrimps, came here years ago with my now fiancé (WE was only dating then) and we had such a great time. He decided to take me back with some friends, soon as we arrived the hostess wanted to squeeze us in the corner where there was people crowded and bunched up already (the place wasn't even packed) I really didn't feel like getting pump while we ate. She kindly moved us. While chit chatting there was a vibe of 90's music playing and if u know me I love me some 90's music, so that was a plus, we orderd drinks which took a while, (but worth the wait) I gotta say they have a drink called "One night stand" wooosh! Strong and the bomb, that drink had me ready to start dancing. I have to add that The waitress was very polite and patient (don't remember her name) I blame the drink. We orderd and the food came on time, I wasn't disappointed at all everything looked tasty. Of course I ordered there famous Rasta pasta with grilled chicken and it was devoured. Left full and content Overall it's a nice place if you wanna go out on a date and taste some southern/carribean food, it's right near coney island so you can swing by and take a walk on the broadwalk on a nice day.

Unfortunately this was the absolute worst Jamaican food experience I ever had. Both my friend and I ordered fish. She asked for jerk salmon and I ordered brown stew king fish. Sadly both dishes were not eaten due to old, non seasoned and inaccurate examples of these classics. When asked to remove the orders the team refused and lied about the freshness and authenticity. The manager then said I ordered the steamed fish and that the reason the salmon was hard and dry was because it was the trype of fish and how its prepared. She was defensive and rude. It is so unfortunate that quality and customer service is a thing of the past. I have enjoyed Footprints other Brooklyn locations for many years but unfortunately will never patronize the Coney Island location again. So sad that unfresh, unseasoned, tasteless food and disdain for creating loving customer service is perceived acceptable. Not even worth a quarter of a star.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at this location. I rang them before arriving and no one answered. We arrived and there was a 45 minute, which was ok . We put our name and number down and we're told we would be called . We returned after having a drink across the way and told they were no longing seating. She said her manager told her at 21:30 they were no longer seating and forgot to call me. To add insult to injury we were the only people on the list. She also didn't explain to her manager that she messed up and was incapable to do her job that doesn't require much by the way . Came all the way from Florida for Rasta pasta which I didn't get and had to converse with a person incapable to her one job as a hostess. We all have a job to do and if hired should do so. Put systems in place that work . The one star is for the review to be posted .

I had to redeem myself!! 7/16/21 I went to Footprints and enjoyed this meal. The oxtails was succulent and the pasta was nice and creamy. I wanted to be hungry again. Shout out to the chef please continue to make them like this.

The wings were under cooked. I had to pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes. Once I did that, they were tasty. The salmon meal was incorrect. I ordered salmon and only veggies and yet some home I got rice too. Trying to lower my carb in take and eat more veggies but Footprints just wouldn't let me be healthy.
