"Few shops can pull off the coffee-by-day, cocktails-by-night model. Forin isn’t like most shops. The mint green Kensington cafe serves intriguing breakfast and lunch options, like an egg, spam, and cheddar sandwich with scallion jam, or egg salad on toasted milk bread. And if you stick around long enough, order one of the cocktails and dinnertime snacks from a rotating list of chefs-in-residence. They also sell records, nice candles, and Scottish wool vests that we're not nearly cool enough to pull off." - alison kessler
"One of the coolest coffee spots in the city, this Kensington cafe and bar has the vibe of a trendy speakeasy with a dynamic passion for incorporating beans in cocktails, drips, espressos, and more. Come here to try the fun latte concoctions, such as the miso, banana, ube or the bergamot. There are two other strictly cafe locations, on Coral and the new one on South Street inside the Yowie Hotel." - Nadia Chaudhury
"One of the coolest and most extravagant coffee spots in the region, Forin has the vibe of a trendy speakeasy with a dynamic passion for incorporating beans in both cocktails, drips, espressos, and more. With two distinct locations (their Frankford spot is a cafe and bar, their Coral stop is strictly cafe), come here to try Pandan espresso martinis and whatever seasonal experiments they have brewing." - Ernest Owens, Eater Staff

"Forîn is a charming all-day cafe and wine bar in Kensington. Everything in the casual space is mint green, from the counter seats looking out onto Frankford Ave. to the large booth tucked in the corner. In the morning, they serve pastries and sandwiches (the egg sandwich on a house-baked biscuit with espresso jam is a must-try), while the evening is all about European small plates, wine, and cocktails. Pop in for an AM work session, or post up with a few friends while sipping cocktails, sharing citrus galettes and listening to Khruangbin. They also have a “retail corner,” with records, candles, and, for some inexplicable reason, bespoke plaid shirts." - candis mclean, alison kessler
