Pasta was fresh and nice. Got the ravioli special and it was pretty good. It was definitely something new for me but the sauce was good and I enjoyed the fluffy bread which was free! Would probably order a different pasta from the $14 menu next time I’m here and try some new things. Caesar salad was good but mine was light on dressing compared to my friend’s. Had some nice seating in an outdoorsy greenhouse kind of spot. A great cozy place to have a fresh and warm lunch or dinner!

Food is exceptional—I’ve gone back so many times, and it’s my go-to pasta place. I love it so, so much! The pasta is incredibly creamy, and the flavors are always fragrant and fresh, making every bite enjoyable. The service is also super fast, making it a perfect quick in-and-out spot that saves us a lot of time!

Our company ordered lunch from them. There was no delivery service available so some of us had to pickup the order. The food was decent overall when it came to the dessert some did not taste well we had the lemon tart, budino some mentioned the tiramisu was good. I had shrimp which was tasty. They did miss our utensils so we had to scramble and dessert was a miss for me so gave them 3 stars.

The photos don’t do our amazing meal justice. The pasta was SO good, across all the different kinds served at forma in terms of taste, texture, and serving size. The fettuccine funghi was definitely a favorite amongst my friends and I—super creamy and tasty. It was super busy when I visited, yet the overall service and wait was still pretty good!

Lively, casual setting for a quick and tasty plate of pasta. We tried the pappardelle bolognese, fettuccini funghi, and pesto. The bolognese and fettuccini were delicious, but we would not re-order the pesto as it was less layered and texturally complex than the others. We found the pasta to be thicker than we prefer but overall, it’s a wonderful deal for the sub-$20 price point, and the warm, welcoming service makes Forma a neighborhood favorite.

Someone recommended this place to me today so I ran to check it out. He said “it’s my favorite pasta in the city and the most affordable” and now I completely agree! I ordered the pipette ragu ($14), a side gem salad (lunch special +$3) and an Americano ($3). I was pleasantly surprised to receive complementary fresh bread as well. Everything is delicious and fresh, the portions are generous and the prices are the best around even for coffee! Great atmosphere, music, nice outdoor seating, friendly service. Can’t believe it took me so long to hear about this place and can’t wait to return!

Some of the best pasta I’ve had in the city and for such a great price. It’s first come seating which is great. You place your order at the counter and they bring your food. Awesome chill vibes and amazing food.

This pasta shop is a must-visit! The aroma when you walk in is absolutely mouthwatering, and the simple menu makes it easy to choose if you're indecisive like I am. I love that they have a different special each day of the week--it's a fun way to try something new! Whatever you do, do yourself a favor and order the side of eggplant parmesan; it's a true delight and complements the pasta perfectly. The space feels clean and well-kept, and I really appreciate how the staff takes the time to wipe down surfaces after each customer. This location has more space compared to the one on Bedford, so it's definitely my go-to for a more calm ambiance.

Fast casual Italian serving up delicious, fresh pasta. $14 (or $17 for a special) for a housemade pasta, this is pretty affordable compared to the many pasta spots in nyc. The pasta is cooked consistently al dente, just the way I prefer it. It's chewy, cheesy, and jampacked with flavor. They have handful of a pasta dishes to choose from with a daily rotational special dish. They also have a few salads, sides, and desserts to choose from. Some of our favorites: Aranci Balls Kale Caesar Salad Pipette Ragu Mafaldine Scampi Pappardelle Bolognese Fettuccine Funghi Pro tip: save some of the free focaccia bread and dip it into the leftover sauce.

Would highly recommend - amazing quality for the price. The pasta textures are perfectly al dente and fresh. My favoritses are the bolognese, pesto and spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs pasta. The free focaccia bread is a fluffy pillow vessel for the tomato sauce. It might be hard to seat a large party during busy hours, but I can usually find a table for 2. They also do delivery and pickup - both of which have been good experiences so far.

Very well cooked pasta at a very reasonable price point in a cute little self serve setting! There was surprisingly a lot of seating at a 7pm on a Friday night in the back room (which is a covered indoors area, not as warm as the inside but definitly still very comfortable). The pasta came out really quickly, and the paste texture and flavors were both really good! Would highly recommend :)

This is one of my go to pasta places. Came here with a friend that was in town. As always very clean, staff is always pleasant. Ordered the pasta and wine special for $19, mafaldine scampi sautéed shrimps, white wine & lemon butter sauce, chili flakes, garlic bread crumbs. I'm not a big Al dente person, the noodles were a bit too firm for me, the flavor was good the shrimp were delicious. I asked for some Parmesan on the side. My friend had the pipette ragu,italian pork sausage, creamy herb sauce, parmigiano reggiano, which she said she enjoyed. I took a star away because that was my first meal of the day and I didn't feel well once I got home and believe the food made me sick. I've been here so many times and that's never happened but I imagine the shrimp or cheese might have been out of temp or mismanaged in some way, honestly it could have been any of the ingredients. :( I woke up with my stomach still upset the next morning.

One of the cheapest spots where you can find fresh and good quality pasta dishes! They have a lot of options for just $14 and while the serving sizes aren't that big, I'd say it's fair given the cheap pricing! You can stay and dine in or order take out. I'd say that this spot is a more casual dining spot! My favorite is definitely the mafaldine scampi which is often my go-to! This time around I tried one of their weekend specials. For each day of the week they have special pasta dishes you can only order for that specific day which I think is quite a fun idea. You also get complimentary focaccia on the side which is one of my favorite things they have! The focaccia is super soft and fresh - perfect for soaking up any remaining pasta sauce. All in all, a solid pasta spot you should definitely try!

This spot is super cute and all the staff are so nice and attentive. The inside has some seating but theres also a covered back which is super cute! The meatballs were so good and i enjoyed eating it with the bread. The bolognese I got was really good, I can see why it's top rated. The scampi was a tad bit bland for my taste but it was still delicious! This may be my new favorite pasta spot in Brooklyn.

Came to this spot because my coworker was telling me about how they make the pasta fresh in house! Pretty straightforward small menu and I got the mafaldine shrimp and the fettuccine funghi. Both were really good and also comes with a side of bread. Out of the 2 I enjoyed the funghi one more because after a while the mafaldine shrimp got too much for me. Decent portion sizes and price wise it was like $13-$14 I believe ! Very casual spot and they also sell pasta there too!

What an absolute gem of a place. House made pastas for a reasonable price and look at the ambiance from the heated outdoor cabin! We tried the lasagna, mafaldine scampi, fettuccine mushroom and meatballs. Everything was SO good. I now need to go back and try all the other pastas because they were phenomenal!

Highly recommend Forma if you haven't been and you like pasta. It's incredibly affordable (about $14-16 per entree), although it seems they've raised their prices. Service is fairly quick and the restaurant is deceptively spacious (extra seating in the back), so you usually don't need to make reservations. I usually order the bolognese when I'm there. The noodles are cooked to the perfect texture (I personally prefer slightly al dente) and the sauce is meaty and flavorful. The entire dish is filling enough, although I'd recommend ordering a side, such as meatballs or arancini (fried risotto balls). I'd also suggest trying the pipette ragu, with a creamy white sauce. You can also order pasta noodles to go, if you'd like to cook/eat at home, which is quicker; they have a separate station for to-go pasta.

Forma is a cute, casual pasta factory that makes their pastas fresh every day. There is a variety of different pastas to choose from, and each kind seems to be a personal favorite to anyone walking through their doors. I ordered the lunch special which includes a pasta and a salad side. The pesto pasta was very authentic and deep in flavor. The spaghetti was a light and creamy blend as well. The value was $17 for the lunch combo, which is a great deal. Forma's outdoor patio is so relaxing and imitates an authentic Italian vibe which I love.

UGH I love this place. I already loved the pasta when I had it for take-out and the pasta during dine-in was just as superb. Loves: + Pasta is so good. My faves are papardelle bolognese and pipette ragu! + It's only $14 per pasta dish!!! I can't even. What a steal. + Wine is cheap too. They pour it for you at your table and I feel like my glass was only $6. + Cute covered outdoor dining area + Friendly staff I don't really know what else to say. I am such a fan of Forma. She really is THAT GIRL.

I heard good things about this casual pasta joint, and it didn't disappoint! The place was crowded on a weeknight of people also having the same idea for dinner. You order first here, get a number, and find a table. The outdoor patio at the back was such a vibe, so I recommend eating there. The wait took forever! Pasta was $13, unless you get the daily specials ($16), and came with complimentary bread. We got the Pappardelle Bolognese and Mafaldine Scampi, and both had fantastic flavor. The scampi was a tad saltier. Both pasta came al dente. which can be more apparent with the wide shaped pappardelle. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would come back to try more pasta options!

Personally, I did not think this place is as good as its greenpoint location. The pipette ragu has the great, fresh noodle texture you would expect from freshly made pasta. However, the flavor was just creamy, it lacked the complexity of the pipette ragu in the sister location, which was richer with meat flavor, slightly spicy. This was my first time trying the gem salad (I normally get Caesar salad), and I would say it is a really good healthy alternative! The sauce is tangy and refreshing, would highly recommend. The meatball sandwich was good, the meatballs were juicy and the bun was buttery and toasted wonderfully. Almost as good as the iconic complimentary focaccia bread they give.

The food here was pretty good as usual. Service was friendly. Prices were great. It is a very chill spot. The seating area in the back was heated. I have no complaints.

Had some great flavorful pasta here. Didn't care for the casual fast atmosphere at the cashier stand, but then sitting is more server style vibes, however there is no server, they deliver your food, but you bus your table and do everything else - it was an odd mix. Tiny crowded tables, host (?) wouldn't let you choose where to sit. However can't fault the pasta.

The pasta here was great and the prices. But I didn't like the hybrid full service restaurant / counter service. You order at the counter, system asks for 20% tip, you can't choose wear to sit, an employee dictates it. The tables are very small, almost too small to fit your food and drinks on. The tray they give us fills up the table - wasn't sure where your suppose to put it. There's then a little sign on the table reminding you to bus your table when you leave. The group next to us forgot to bus their table and the employee made them go back and bus it. You fill up your own water. They deliver your food. But don't bus your apps away when mains come. It was kind of an awkward experience. However the pasta was really good, I would come back for the pasta.

I had such a pleasant experience at Forma Pasta Factory. All of the staff seem so happy, and despite the rain, they were all sunshine-y! So the indoor set was well- lit, efficient, and cute... handmade pasta station in the front for all eyes to see. The two women making the pasta were a glimpse of the sunlight I was about to experience lol. They were cheerful, not fake cheerful because I was a customer entering the establishment where they work, which was so nice. AND the pasta looked great (Forma also sells fresh pasta and sauces). I looked over the menu and noticed the daily specials, but wished some were available daily. Nevertheless, I ordered the Wednesday special, which was cheese stuffed agnolotti with a scrumptious cream sauce. It came with focaccia and a salad of choice. Back track to the cashier... a real sweetheart, who also emitted cheer lol, but so was the waitress? The "waitress" seemed to wear many hats, so I'm unsure of her role, but she had sun rays too. She informed me that I could sit in the outdoor space, which looked so inviting. As I waited for my food (which came pretty quickly), I admired the construction of the backyard space. Whoever put that together needs to build my dream house's backyard deck or whatever. Anyway, the food came quickly was so pretty that I paused to take pictures gang! The pasta was delicate but firm enough to contain the filling. The flavors were not aggressive, but definitely tasty and unforgettable in the best way. Just when I was thinking that I needed a spoon to stop up the sauce, here came the two squares of pillowy soft, garlicky good focaccia. The salad was pretty, but not especially exciting. Forma PF also has wine and non alcoholic beverages, but I am trying to stick to water these days. Just the same, I think there are specials for wines, and they might even have pairings. Overall, I enjoyed my Hump Day meal at Forma Pasta Factory, and will return (insert smile).

I'm happy they expanded. They were due for another location. Nice location. Enough seating to chill on a quick date night. I like their wine selection. Their pasta is always on point. Fresh with impeccable spicing. Fast, efficient service. Unique place. I love it.

Love this place! Food is always fresh and they offer regular menu and daily specials. (Sometimes they run out of daily specials if you go late.) I've never eaten inside but this place is always busting! Very casual dining, staff is friendly and helpful. Think this place like fancy pasta fast food place! (They make fresh pastas!)

Very solid spot. Fair price, good vibes. Nice out door gazebo. It's not the best pasta I've ever had but it's comforting and convenient. Probably wouldn't return but it was good and I'm glad I tried it.

My favorite local pasta restaurant. I'm so glad it's just a few blocks from our home. I love dining here and take out is also great! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to make you feel at home. We have had dinner here several times and, often they will bring us "something extra to enjoy." It's one of our favorite neighborhood spots and we intend to keep coming back. I haven't ordered anything at Forma Pasta Factory that wasn't flavorful and delicious. Some of my favorites: Sunday special - Lasagna. Both the meat lasagna and vegetable lasagna are the perfect Sunday dinner. Pappardelle Bolognese - Taste like your grandmother made it. Gemelli Pesto - I love pesto and this is just delicious. Fettuccine Funghi - If you're a fan of pasta with mushrooms, this is perfect. Sautéed with mushrooms, rosemary and thyme in a cream sauce. The herbs add to the flavor but don't overwhelm. The cream sauce isn't too heavy, just yummy. The Gem Salad and The Kale Caesar are both great starters. My favorite sides are the cauliflower and the Arancini - fried risotto balls with cheese and calabrian chili aioli. Meals come with Focaccia flat bread. It's warm, soft and you can taste the rosemary and oregano. Dessert - My go to every time is the Budino. A chocolate pudding with salted caramel and chocolate shavings. Prices are very reasonable, and so worth it. I'm a big fan!

Met a friend for lunch here and was very impressed by the prices. The restaurant had just opened, so it wasn't too busy or crowded and we were able to order and get seated right away. It was clean and open inside, and the restaurant also has outdoor dining. The service was very friendly and we were greeted as we walked in and as we left. As others have mentioned, it is somewhat a no frills spot and you get your own water, but this is great in light of how cheap it is to get fresh pasta! I ordered the lunch special, getting the shrimp malfadine and a kale caesar salad. We also received focaccia on the house. I really liked the focaccia, which was spongey and soft, and the kale salad was fresh. The pasta sauce was also very rich and flavorful and came with an impressive amount of shrimp, and my order totaled $20. I would come again to try the other pastas and maybe even their specials! They also sell fresh pasta in the store for you to take home and cook with.

My biggest regret is visiting New York so many times in my life and not knowing about Forma until now!! More likely than not, it will be booked and busy when you visit (as it should be). You wait in line to order and then grab a spot and the food will be brought right up to your table. The worker at the register was sooo friendly and energetic and was very informative about the different dish options. The food was nicely portioned and tasted like a warm hug. Delicious, packed with flavor, pasta cooked to perfection, and was so home-y. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the pasta dishes here. I can't wait to be back!

A simple, casual pasta place, the pasta is well executed. The noodle texture was perfect and overall the dish was great. It was just a little salty for my preference. You enter and order the food at the counter before taking a seat. For all the fancy pasta places out there, this place is a great option for a cheaper alternative that is still delicious.

I love Forma. I was always struggling to find good, 'new' Italian. A lot of places in the city are either super hard to get into or pretty overrated. Forma is cheap (relatively). Recently I got their chef's special which was a bucatini with pancetta, squash, sage, and parm. It was incredible. Writing this review and seeing that it's still in the menu makes me really really want to order it right now. Maybe later this week... I've also had the mafaldine scampi which is super yummy and they give you a ton of shrimp. Maybe also the bolognese but it's been a while so I forget. I've never been disappointed with an order though. Oh also the kale salad is great. It's simple but the dressing is perfect. They also give you free bread (ehich is actually good!) Another big pro is that they can do it gluten free, sans butter, cheese, etc. so super customizable Overall 10/10 Also I should note that I've never dined in so this is all for takeout. I'm sure even you eat there it's an 11/10

Came here around 5pm right before the dinner rush and got a 4 seater table for my friends and I. We got the Saturday special and the pipette ragu. service is always super fast and helpful. The pasta here tastes so amazing and is very reasonably priced. Definitely my favorite Italian pasta place in all of Brooklyn. Definitely recommend coming here to try it out. They have another location in Williamsburg as well.

After schlepping to Fort Green on weekend service to play with an adorable corgi all afternoon, we decided to make our journey worth it by braving the crowds and having dinner here. We took a risk and ordered our food to stay, and for several dicey minutes, it looked like we'd have to enjoy our pastas on the cold, dirty floor because all tables were PACKED. But then we found an empty bench by the patio entrance, and then, even luckier, a couple left and we were able to snag their table. So the moral of the story, kids, is: just be patient and a spot will open up for you. Unless you're with 10 other people, in which case you're sh*t out of luck. Anyway, I rarely rave about pastas these days, but I'm going to rave about Forma's: - The Pappardelle Bolognese, as basic and common as it is, was easily one of the best I've ever had (including in Italy). For such an ubiquitous dish, restaurants rarely find the perfect balance of sweet, umami tomatoes and hearty meaty flavor. The sauces tend to skew too far on one side or the other. But Forma's was the perfect marriage, an astonishing harmony that made my mouth sing like a gospel solo. The thick slabs of al dente pappardelle were just cherry. - The Mafaldine Scampi is all of what makes Italian food delicious wrapped up in one dish. Mix it well, and you'll be rewarded with bright flavors of garlic, lemon zest and sea brine in every bite. The only bad thing about this dish is that it ends (eventually). - Also: Complimentary warm, flavorful, freshly baked, rosemary bread comes with every order. The portions are generous too and perfect for sopping up sauce. And we can talk about the prices? My jaw dropped when our bill came out to $30. That's practically free by Manhattan standards! How are these guys making money in these inflationary times? Never mind, I don't want to speculate because they're clearly doing something right and we the customers are benefiting. Will return to gorge on remaining pastas.

It's not often that a fast casual joint replaces the dining experience of a sit-down-service restaurant, but Forma Pasta Factory has the benefits of both!! All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I first ordered my dish at the register, and they acknowledged that several of us were dining together/ at the same table although we paid separately, so they put our orders all under the same #. We found space to seat 6 of us in the outdoor patio, which is covered which keeps it pretty cool. Service brought out complimentary bread and our appetizers very shortly after we sat down, and ultimately brought out all our pasta dishes. The staff was receptive and friendly when we asked if we could have another serving of bread! The arancini was served hot and fresh, and had a fun and yummy dipping sauce. I wasn't a huge fan of the pipette ragu, which is what my boyfriend ordered. It was creamy but the pork sausage had a strong taste. I ordered the fettucine funghi which was delicious! The extra sauce in my plate was a perfect pairing with the bread. I highly recommend! There's a water refill station and even plastic containers if you want to pack your leftover pasta. I also appreciated how all the staff said goodbye and thank you to us as left! I'd definitely return and recommend FPF to others!

This place is so affordable for fresh made pasta! The restaurant looked like it only had a few tables, but there was a whole patio in the back. The servers were all really nice and we got our food quickly. I got the shrimp scampi! I love how all of the pastas are either $14 or $17. The noodles were cooked perfectly and I liked the shape of them. The sauce was good, but it was a little salty and felt heavy with all of the butter. I did like the amount of shrimp in the pasta. They also gave us some free focaccia! Next time I'll try the pork ragu.

Delicious fast casual Italian food in Brooklyn. There doesn't seem to be many Italian places around where you order at the counter and the food is brought to you as opposed to sit down waiter service, so I'm glad this place exists. I was on the fence whether to give Forma 4 or 5 stars because while it's not the best pasta I've ever eaten, the quality of the food, friendly service, and ambiance impressed me. Be sure to checkout their daily special that rotates based on day of the week. If that doesn't interest you, they also have a list of entrees available every day. They were making fresh pasta when we walked in and have some available to purchase if you want to take it home to cook with.

Great place for a solo date or meeting with friend and family. I've had Forma Pasta Factory on my list of places to try for months and I finally had the perfect opportunity to stop by for lunch. I knew I wanted pesto and was open to different pastas but got a signature dish which was the Gemelli Pesto, a side salad (Caesar Kale) and their complimentary focaccia bread. It's a casual dine in place so you are provided with a table card and can sit anywhere. When my food arrived, the kale Caesar and focaccia were my favorites. The kale was so high quality and well dressed and the bread had roasted rosemary/sea salt which gave it a wonderful flavor. I would come back for that bread . The pasta itself was okay, but I would choose a more open and wide pasta the next visit. The tomatoes were pickled and was a great addition to the dish. My total was $18 with the side salad, and all pastas come with the complimentary focaccia. Such a great visit and I plan on coming back to try their Parpparelle Bolognese!

NYC would be better off with many more restaurants like Forma - places with delicious food and pleasant ambience, but that are also unpretentious and affordable. Fortunately, Forma Pasta has that unique combination of qualities, making it the perfect option for high-quality, casual dining. I came for a date night on a Friday evening. It was busy, but we were able to find a table for two in the back patio. The backyard area is one of the best uses of back patio space I've seen. It's intimate without feeling claustrophobic, and the foliage and high ceiling convince you that you're sitting somewhere pristine and peaceful rather than mere feet away from Fulton Street. The mafaldine scampi I ordered was delicious, with wide, ridged noodles that were perfect for catching the sauce. My girlfriend's fettuccine funghi was also excellent. We both added a glass of white wine, bringing the pre-tax and tip total to only $19 each. I'm confident that Forma will become one of my go-tos for date nights, dinner with family visiting the city, or just casual get-togethers with friends.

Forma is one of my favorite pasta places! You order at the counter and then find your own seat. They will give you cups for water which you fill up by yourself. Someone will bring your food to the table, but you have to return the dishes by yourself. There were a few tables inside, and a large outdoor space in the back. I really like the lunch special which comes with a salad, bread, and your pasta of choice. I have been multiple times and always get the mafaldine scampi. The mafaldine has a great al dente texture and they always give a generous portion of shrimp. The gem salad is light and refreshing. For the price, quantity, and quality I will always be willing to return to Forma!

We came on a Friday evening and it was quite busy, line moves relatively fast but dishes came out on the slower side. We were all impressed by the pasta texture and flavors, definitely worth a visit especially at this price point! 5/5 Malfadine Scampi - if i had to get one pasta dish again, it would be this! The crevices in this pasta shape really allows the white wine sauce to coat the noodles, the lemon brings a lot of freshness, breadcrumbs added good texture, and ends with a hint of spice from the chili. The shrimp was also cooked very well! 4.5/5 Fettuccine Funghi - A great cream sauce with a generous amount of mushrooms with fragrant rosemary and thyme notes. 4.5/5 Spaghetti Pomodoro -- a simple dish with very good execution! The fresh flavor of this dish really comes through. 4/5 Arancini

Wow. We did takeout from here, and I was still stunned by the quality of the pasta and how it held its consistency. Perfectly al dente. Perfect amount. Perfect flavors. 1000% coming back here.

I can't believe it took me this long to finally go here! We arrived a little after 5pm on a Sunday and a small line was already inside. The inside is bustling but surprisingly spacious with table and bar-like seating, with some outside seating out front, as well as an enclosed, spacious, and super cute backyard with seating. It took about 5 minutes in line to finish ordering, super quick! You wait in line and order at the counter, where you receive bread and a table number. We were given free bread and our order of arancini immediately. The arancini came in cute little balls, all impressively the same size. Loved the little spicy dipping sauce it came with. Our pasta arrived in just under 15 minutes and was amazing! Like other reviews state, the pasta is pretty al dente, which we enjoyed. Both pasta dishes were unique but equally delicious, with springy pasta and fresh ingredients. the ragu came out piping hot and head plenty of meat sprinkled throughout for wonderful bites and texture and flavor. The tomatoes in the pesto dish were great too. No notes. You need to come here and I need to go back! Can't beat the price, and perfect for a quick, fresh meal.

I took my son for dinner before a show and this was his favorite meal in all of NYC. He devoured the spaghetti pomodoro and focaccia; I ate up the gluten free pasta and the eggplant Parmesan. I think I'll dream about that eggplant parm. It was so amazing. It was my second time here and I will definitely return. 10/10 and shout out to the really friendly employees as well.

This place is hands down delicious and I'm starting to feel like it's a hidden gem that I don't want too many people visiting and creating long lines / inflated prices lol. So far I've had 3 of the pasta specials and I cannot wait to go back and try more. My absolute favorite is the mafaldine scampi with shrimp and the kale Caesar salad.

A great Italian restaurant. This place probably has the cheapest and best on-the-go pasta I have ever found. I usually come here during the summer as I enjoy their outdoor space in the front. And pasta in Summer without being in Italy? This is a staple stop. Haha But it gets overwhelmingly crowded after 5pm, with motorists who do delivery. But, the pasta is superb! I only go with one pasta (I am a creature of habit LOL) - the pappardelle bolognese. That meal is soooooo good. Plus the portions are generous. They give you bread, and if you are up for it, you can get a glass of wine to go with the pasta for a small charge I believe. Aside from this, the staff is always sweet! I have never had a bad experience with them. I highly recommend this place - especially if you need dinner on the go.

I love this spot. super consistent and the service is great for a hybrid model like Forma. You can get take out or pay in-advance and eat at the establishment. Both indoor and outdoor tables, picnic-y ambiance. I have tried a few of their pastas but my favorite has got to be the pappardelle bolognese. wow such a treat and made with such care. Also try their desserts!

Really love the convenience of this spot since it's quick and easy to order. It's also not as formal as usual Italian restaurants. The place is cute, there's seating in the front and back. It's like a self service kinda vibe, you seat yourself, there's a number on the table and they bring the food to you. There's a water dispenser you can use. Let me tell ya something, by the time I was 1/4 of the way through my pasta my cousin had already finished his. It was that damn good. He had the fettuccine fungi soooo delicious and I had the pipette ragu which was really good too. Really nice spot for a tasty bite for sure.

So Good!!! You must try it! We met a friend in the area so she recommended here. Excellent choice! We each got a different pasta and pairing with a salad. They're all very delicious. Loved the freshly made pasta. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. The place is very nice with front and backyard seating. Glad we got here early (12:15) to beat the crowd b/c it's packed by the time we left around 1pm. I wish I lived around here, I could try every single pasta.

I've visited Forma Pasta two times over the past summer and I can't believe I forgot to leave another well-deserved review. This place is unique all by itself. The service is always at 100%, The food is always great, and the deserts are really good. I plan on bringing my children so they can enjoy the experience. If you're in the neighborhood it's great for a date night, dinner, or lunch. ENJOY!

I rarely crave or care for pasta, but when I had a pasta itch today, I decided to try Forma and was thoroughly impressed. I can't tell what's more incredible: the fact that each pasta is only $13 or the fact that it's SO delicious I'd pay way more for it. The portions were generous, and their focaccia bread was divine. My one critique would be to devise a better seating program/plan. It's really inconvenient to be carrying a tray around and unable to find any seating.

Second visit to FPF and today's lunch really filled my appetite. The dining area was packed today but I managed to find an open seat by the counter. Service was quick. No more than a 10 minute wait for my dish. While there is beautiful outdoor seating, today's cold weather was not ideal to eat outside. I ordered the spaghetti and paid $3 extra for meatballs. No matter the price, this is one of the best pasta dishes in Brooklyn and all of New York City. The tomato sauce was spicy, the meatballs had a nice firmness and the spaghetti was fresh, rolled onto a fork with ease. The meal also came with free bread. Overall, FPF continues to win over new customers & locals.

Was walking around Brooklyn and saw a long line of Uber pickups which intrigued my tastebuds so decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did. It's a dainty restaurant with such delicious food. The bread was delicious and the cauliflower, omg I just could not stop eating and finished the entire plate.. yummy!! The pasta was freshly made and what a flavor explosion.. loved it! The desert was rich and the ambience was cozy! Totally enjoyed this meal and ofcourse the lines were worth it

Fresh AND affordable pasta? Literally the first place my friend and I went the moment we arrived in New York. We got the pappardelle bolognese (my personal favorite albeit I should've explored their other pastas bc they sounded so good) and the malfadine scampi, which had an interesting pasta noodle. We also got the gem salad - very refreshing with some vinegary hints, balanced well with the carbs. The outdoor seating was really cute - we went on a weekday afternoon so luckily it wasn't too busy. Service was super sweet as well! Highly recommend adding this spot to your Brooklyn bucketlist ;)

There are actually two locations for this cafe, but when searching to it to review, only one comes up. If I had to separate them, I'd give the location in Greenpoint a 4 and the the location in Clinton Hill a 5. Round a 4.5 up and you get 5, so that's what they both got as a whole. The reason for variation is bc Greenpoint is so tiny and tight. It was too compact for my choice, extremely crowded, I had to sit right in front of the bathroom. Thank goodness it didn't smell. I felt claustrophobic in there. I beleive that is their original location and Clinton Hill, Brooklyn is their second. I would think it is their 2nd bc it's a lot larger and much roomier. They have front and back yard seating, and also indoor seating. We got to watch them make the pasta, and didn't feel rushed. It's a different concept. You order your food, find your seat, someone brings you your food, and you clean up after yourself. Unfortunately, you have some pigs who don't, but the staff will then clean it up. Tipping is the right thing to do. I mean, it doesn't have to be 20% or whatever (my opinion), but $5 is good. They don't check up on you to see if everything is ok, or ask if you want a refill. You have to trash your own napkins, cans, leftover food and place your utensils and dishes in a bin near the garbage. I call it a cafe. It's NOT a restaurant. The pasta was delicious, and it's less expensive than most restaurants, but you also get less on your plate than at some places. The bread wasn't even Italian bread. It's like cornbread. We understand cornbread is much cheaper (I mean, the pantries give boxes of it away for free), than Italian bread, but I guess there's my answer. You can also grab and go, as they have pre-packaged meals and maybe even sandwiches, at least at the Clinton Hill location. I wouldn't go back to Greenpoint, bc I don't like feeling claustrophobic and waiting for people to get up so I can eat my cold pasta by the time I get a seat. I'll stick to Clinton Hill.
