"The sea takes pride of place at this restaurant, where fish in its various guises (raw and cooked) is to the fore on the menu. In summer, guests can make the most of the attractive outdoor area, while at other times of year meals are served in the more formal dining rooms. Good wine list, including some excellent Dalmatian options." - Michelin Inspector

"For a seafood experience featuring fresh-caught Adriatic fish, book a table at this lovely restaurant in the small harbor of Foša Zadar, right by Zadar’s ancient city walls. The interior incorporates original details, like exposed bits of stone walls, in an overall contemporary design, but the real standout is the terrace that extends into the port. It’s the perfect setting if you want to pair your meal with stellar vistas. Though the meat dishes here are great, seafood is the highlight. The menu changes according to the morning's catch, but often features shrimp gazpacho, gnocchi with black cuttlefish ragout, and grilled Adriatic Sea bream with fresh herbs."

A magnificent location with a stunning view to the ocean is the absolute recent to visit this restaurant. We both had the tasting menu, which was good (not outstanding) and they were out of oyster with some excuse that it was Sunday (then tell us upfront or take it off the menu. The with pairing was very interesting and good with Croatian wine. However on the chilling evening, you would expect blankets or some level of heating and the service was more directed to tables ordering a la carte serving and getting the waiters attention was almost impossible.

İ dont know why this amazing restaurant had only 4,2 points. This was one of the best lunches i ever had in my life. İ am from Mediterranean and this food is 100% genuine. Chef must be given full credit for cooking everything just perfect. Rare cooked and delicious. Cant tell enough !!

Very disappointing experience at Fosa considering the hype and great reviews. We made a reservation via the website a month before our visit and it was confirmed with Martina Furcic but the reservation was not registered. There was no apology for their mistake but they reluctantly found us a table. We had to ask for menus. We had to wait for long periods of time before being asked if we’d like a drink and to order food. It felt like we were an inconvenience. The food was good but nothing exceptional.

One of the best (but also most expensive) restaurants in Zadar. After a very good start the kitchen could not keep up the high level in the final courses. Great Croatian wines, although cheaper by the glas than as a wine menu.

We waited for our order for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The food was below average, did not meet our expectations. The oysters were good. Overall, not worth a visit.

10/10!! Last time I came to Foša it was back in 2019 and I remember the absolutely stunning view and amazing food. Came back 4 years later and tried the tasting menu (5 courses) which they didn’t have back then. Absolutely outstanding! Can’t imagine fish being prepared better! The atmosphere is so romantic and calm, restaurant is open very late which is great for summer heat. Only the last course (panna cotta) wasn’t up to my liking as I like it more liquid, however my partner enjoyed it a lot. If in Zadar- must visit!

Well worth the money. A beautiful restaurant serving beautiful, innovative food. We opted for the scampi carpaccio and scampi & truffle ravioli for starters. I had the dry aged seabass for main and my partner had the duck. All dishes were superb. The flavours were so well thought out on each dish. Service is really great. We were slightly put off by reviews remarking that the staff are rude, but this is not the case. They are highly skilled and professional, and take your dining experience seriously. Our waiter directed us what to order and when to order wine, and it made our experience better. They are the experts so trust them to know how to make your evening go as perfectly as possible. They were also incredibly engaged and passionate about the food and wine when asked questions. Thank you for a fantastic and memorable dining experience.

We visited during the shoulder season but our experience was very average. The tasting menu was still on the printed menu but not actually available when we ordered it. The Istrian wine we ordered from the printed menu was also not available. The olive oil was the worst we've had anywhere in Croatia. Our food was fine- the fish was perfectly cooked- but it was not nearly Michelin-star good. It was just "fine." This was just disappointing for a restaurant with Michelin stars. It is not a bad restaurant by any means, but our experience was not exceptional.
