I stopped in with a craving for a Nashville hot chicken and it definitely hit the spot! It was a really large piece of chicken which made for a great value and the flavor was exactly what I was craving! Not only was the food good but the service was great! I was warmly greeted, had a great quick chat with the person I spoke to and they were quick with prepping the sandwich also! Definitely a gem of a place and I can’t believe I haven’t been here before but I will most definitely be back to try their other specialties and I would absolutely recommend!

Google
The best hot dogs we’ve ever had! We got the Hell’s Kitchen dogs and a large fry. My husband eats gluten-free and dairy-free and said the gf bun was the best he’s ever had. Can’t wait to return next time we’re in Buffalo!

This place takes comfort food to the next level. The hot dogs are loaded with many different options toppings, while the smash burgers are juicy and packed with flavor. Everything is made fresh and served with care. If you want elevated hot dogs and burgers, this place is worth a visit!

Very quick, friendly, and great food. Staff remember your name and make you feel invited. Fries are super tasty and also fried right. Best thing is the fried onion burger, clears any others nearby!

Galarneau was wrong. The worst thing about this place isn’t the name. It’s the prices. 💸 but enough about Galarneau let’s talk about pastrami you see those photos of a pastrami sandwich down there? you know you do you won’t be able to get this sandwich that’s right You. Won’t. be able to get this sandwich see, Frank’s Gourmet Hot Dogs has kind of a supply-and-demand issue… i was wrong in my first review wasn’t no $47 for a pastrami sandwich only $25 but, see it’s not called frank’s pastrami sandiwiches it’s called franks gourmet hot dogs because they serve hot dogs everyday pastrami? ohhhhh, no, no, nonono, my sweet child see there’s a way to get this here sammich via the internet ya know using your computer n such? gettin connected with the restaurant brands you love, ya know? but i don’t wanna elaborate on how because that will create competition competition for MY pastrami sandwich, that i’m holding here right now see frank don’t make this here pastrami everyday he puts in on the menu for……….. ………….ooh……………. . ………..maybe 2-3 days per year idk something like that but he announces like a day ahead of time thats hes making some for tomorrow but see, thats not all because the pastrami sandwich is for sale on those one day periods only available to pre-order online which online ordering is another crazy story in and of itself but anyways thats kinda like making the customers like fight over some sandwiches at a restaurant but putting that aside there’s only a handful on sandwiches made on those one day intervals and if you dont know how to specifically online order this sandwich on which day you’ll be greeted by my friend here took a selfie of him in ze Photos a biiiiiiig, Expo marker blackboard and under Specials you’ll see “Pastrami: SOLD OUT!” 🎺 WAH, WAAH, WAAAAAAAAAAAAH 🎺 🎺MY TRUMPETS OF SORROW GO OUT TO YOU, SIR 🎺 ahhhhhhh that felt good as i stare at my delicious sandwich that i jumped through so many hoops to get and as i took my first bite i saw a group of three enter the restaurant on a whim and delighted in seeing them stare at the “Pastrami: SOLD OUT!” sign ooooooh, they were so dissapointed that they missed it and i delighted in glee for i had a pastrami sandwich in my hands an ungodly, heavenly, and tasty pastrami sandwich in my hands and they didn’t as i consumed my sammich i could imagine in my mindhole that hundreds more customers will come through those doors seeking their pastrami treasure only to be rejected because they didn’t know all of the specific steps on how to preorder them so boo to you all boo, all you 100 customers you don’t get to taste our delicious, mouthwatering pastrami sandwiches good luck next time whenever next time is you know i could say that Frank’s Gourmet Hot Dogs doesn’t truly care about their customers i could say they treat them like a number but what i’ll say instead is that it’s funny how the restaurant never sells out of hot dogs, or french fries, or…veggie burgers…on any given day but on whatever day they offer up their famous pastrami sandwich even if it’s on a Monday it sells out within hours Frank’s Gourmet Hot Dogs has kind of a…supply-and-demand issue…

Google
Great food and excellent service!! I love the variety - especially the huge sweet potato fries!!! I like the atmosphere inside the restaurant, and the outdoor dining area is great too. Orders are prepared fresh and pretty quickly. I definitely recommend!

Google
My wife and I have been going to Franks since they opened. Paul and Frank are terrific as is the rest of the crew. Everything is made fresh and it shows. Everything we've gotten (burgers, hot dogs, chicken and specials) has been delicious. I'm GF and let them know and it's never been a problem.

Yelp
Not only was my food delicious (and fast), the staff here is great. Checked on us when we ate at the picnic tables in the back, which stay in the sun until late! I left to get ice cream and left my bike locked up and they even checked to see if it was me when I came to pick it back up. We'll be back!

Yelp
THE BEST FRIES AND CHICKEN SANDWICHES. Don't let the name steer you wrong. Order fries and a chicken sandwich. But be careful; once you get a Nashville Hot, your taste for it anywhere else will be ruined! Smash burgers also nail it.

Yelp
I tried 3 hot dog places in Buffalo, and this was my favorite. I got the standard and really enjoyed their spicy relish and just the crispest pickle. Staff was very friendly.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant very nice. Very clean. Service was very good. Had to Chicago, spicy hot dog and a cheeseburger. The hot dog was okay. Not like I remember it when I was stationed in Chicago with the cheeseburger was outstanding perfectly made was great. Juicy outstanding burger and I'll go back for that

Yelp
I avoided this place for a while because I assumed they just had hot dogs. I WAS WRONG! They have amazing sandwich and other options. I have had their Nashville hot chicken sandwich which is definitely a good choice. But honestly, my favorite thing is their fish fry sandwich that is only on the menu on Fridays during lent. It is by far the best fish fry sandwich in WNY! Luckily for us they are down the road from our sons' daycare so we order pickup frequently. When we order in advance and pickup on our way home, it is always ready for us and always warm.

Yelp
I know I have reviewed them before but I just cannot say enough about their chili! My wish is that they incorporated it into more selections! A chili cheese fry, a chili size burger (a California favorite)!! I'm telling you if I could BATHE in their chili I would. There are not a lot of places in WNY that offer the kind of chili Franks makes. Maybe it's a time consuming process or a tad expensive to have as a daily menu item, but MAN if they added it to the menu in more ways....well I would be a 1000 lbs but a happy 1000 lbs! Give it a try!! I PROMISE it will not disappoint.

Yelp
Nice service and delicious hot dogs. I ordered 3 different style hot dogs. They were all great for different reasons. The gentleman that took my order answered all of my questions (yes I love hot dogs so I had a few) . There was no line and a very short wait for my order. The restaurant was very clean too.

Yelp
Saw on facebook that they have a cuban sandwich this week. I love cubans so I made the drive on lunch. This was one of the better cuban sandwiches I've had will definitely get it again the next time I know they have it. The fries were a little over cooked this time but I'm not going to take off a star for that since in the past they've been perfectly cooked.

Yelp
Enjoyed my gourmet Frank Mi dog with hand cut fries for dinner tonight. I really enjoyed the pickled carrots and radish toping on the Frank Mi, it cuts down the greasiness of the hot dog. Fries were crispy slightly over fried for me, but still tasty. I can't wait to come back to try different things on the menu. Large parking lot is very convenient.

Yelp
I came here to try the BPT: crispy fried pork cutlet with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustardy mayo on a potato bun. This sandwich was huge! Luckily I was there with my husband, who had a pocket knife with him. I was able to cut off all the pork cutlet that was hanging over the bun so that I was able to take a bite. The pickles were very good as was the mayo. I couldn't really taste any pork flavor. The crispy fried coating was tasty.

Yelp
Excellent quality and customer service. Bacon wrapped dog is a must. Tijuana cream cheese has a slight kick so good! Highly recommended.

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of Frank Hot Dogs . But I was a bigger fan of their weekly specials , recently they've been waning on creativity. Lots of chicken or hot dog specials , yes they're diverse but how many chicken sandos can someone eat? Perhaps expand into Beef clod and cook it like a roast beef and do a italian beef sandwich with your take on giardiniera, they could also do a pot roast sandwich from the same beef cooked for the Italian beef, Do a Jersey style Italian hot dog , fried potatoes, onions, and peppers in a nice pizza roll beef hot dog dressed with spicy mustard and ketchup, A New York Chopoed cheese sandwich just to name a couple, Pork picnic can do so many variations too of chopped, sliced, or pulled sandwiches. Hope I see these alternatives. Much love and support

Yelp
Fish was crispy and good it's cod instead of haddock which is odd for Buffalo. Fries were crispy and decent. Sides were meah didn't have any individual originality or taste tarter sauce had nothing but a box store favor - the food was perfect as takeout because of the cardboard box serving method. But likely, I would recommend going somewhere else. Service was amazing. Just not happy with the fish fry.

Yelp
When I think of hotdogs, Chicago was always the frontrunner with New York City a far distant second. As I consider myself a hot dog aficionado, it was my duty to check out Frank's Gourmet Dogs. I travel through Buffalo frequently and have always enjoyed wings which seem better there than in most places, along with beef on a weck. What I didn't know was that Buffalo is also known for hot dogs. Last trip, my dining choices were already predefined with hot dogs added to the mix. We both ordered foot long dogs that were grilled along with hand cut fries. Buns were nicely toasted and didn't overpower the dog with a bread taste. The dog's had a nice flavor which was possibly enhanced by the light grilling. I can certainly understand all the excellent reviews Frank's has received. I'm just happy I got to experience Frank's too.

Yelp
Came here recently to get takeout lunch and had a great experience! I got the imposter hotdog which was so flavorful and all around delicious! I also ordered large fries to split, that came with ketchup and we also ordered the salt and vinegar aioli to go with it which was also fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Their Nashville Chicken Tendies box was top-notch!  Trust me, the reviews and pictures don't lie.  They were crispy and seasoned so well - just the right amount kick without being too hot.  However, my 6-year-old daughter said they were too spicy; oh well, more for me.  There were plenty of fries and Frank's makes them as addictive as ever.  At $14 a box it was a banging deal!  But truly, the best part was that it was gluten-free.  My mom has celiac disease and enjoys coming here for a reliably gf meal. Also, I have to mention that their dill pickle aioli is my favorite dipping sauce.  I do feel that $.99 for a condiment-sized container is a bit much though. Tips: Call ahead and place your order for specials so you can guarantee that you will get it.  Plus, when you get there your food will be ready and you won't have to worry about breaking out your wallet.

Yelp
I'm so happy I finally made my way over to Frank's to try the food because I was not at all disappointed. The food was fresh and good, customer service was great, and everything came out pretty quickly to be fresh made. I tried a few different things because while I was here why not...plus they have one of my favorite things, fresh cut fries. The fries were great, my hot dog was cooked perfectly, and my burger was fabulous. My sister had a chicken finger box which included fries and the fingers were homemade and huge, she said they were really good. To sum it up I have a bunch of food to take home now because I did too much and we will be back.

Yelp
I've eaten here twice now and I absolutely love their burgers. The service is friendly and the dining area is clean. The best part, though, is the consistency. My friend and I arrived last night and we both ordered the Impractical Joker. I had to be charged extra for the gluten free bun, but that's normal. My friend ordered hers with no onions. After we got our fountain drinks, we sat down and chatted for a bit before our food came out hot. We both loved our burgers. The meat was juicy, the condiments delightful, and the pickles tangy, just how I like them. All together, these delicious flavors mixed into a wonderful meal. My friend got the fries, too, and loved them! Though I hate hot dogs with a passion, I absolutely love it at Frank's. The people are nice, the cooks are quick, and the food (at least the burgers) is out of this world! Plus, it's close to my house. Please give this place a try!

Yelp
Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs is a big deal. Everyone around has heard about Frank. Mainly, because of their one-of-a-kind hot dogs and the best fries in town. They serve delicious food using local pork and grass-fed beef which is free of nitrates, preservatives and artificial ingredients. They make everything in house, creating high quality and the freshest meals. Although I prefer a charcoal broiled dog, we really enjoyed Frank's food. It's a regular size sausage, covered with massive amounts of toppings. My Hells Kitchen Hot Dog satisfied me fully. The sauerkraut was warm and cooked perfectly. Combined with spicy mustard, the mild, slightly sweet onion sauce was tasty and just right for my liking. The Chili Dog was covered generously with all beef chili and fresh onion. It was extremely tangy in my opinion, but that's the way it was supposed to be. My partner really liked it. With an extra buck you can ask for all beef or veggie dog, but personally I'll stick to an original version. The famous french fries were very good. Crispy and covered with a little bit too much salt. Possibly it's sea salt so next time I'll ask for less or keep shaking it off. The menu also has daily specials and burgers. Fried Onion Cheeseburger is one of their specialty burgers. The rather small sandwich with grass-fed beef, thinly sliced onion, American cheese and pickles on the side tasted better than it looked. The buttery soft potato bun was wrinkled and flat like a skinny granny's butt. I loved the pickles. With a perfect crunch and ideally spiced brine, it made my one burger bite worth the try. We also had one of the sauces, a dill pickle aioli. It was very good as well. I'm so glad I finally tried Frank, and you should too. It's not only a hot dog place, it's the whole new sausage in the bun experience. If you still hesitate, imagine, you won't need antacid afterwards. They must do something right at Frank, plus they made "Top 100 Places to Eat for 2021". How cool is that!
google avatar

Yelp
Congratulations to Frank's on making the Yelp Top 100 places to eat list! Well deserved. Now who would normally put the words hot dog and gourmet in the same sentence? I certainly never have. But I'm glad they did. I totally love hot dogs and they bumped them up a notch. Last week we tried 2 of their gourmet dogs, the Frank Mi and the Hogtied. The Frank Mi is a banh mi with a hot dog. The veggies all gave it the perfect crunch, the fried jalapeño a kick of heat, the Sriracha aioli a nice garlic flavor, and the cilantro some freshness. The Hogtied had bacon, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese, and was loaded with onion crunches on top. I didn't taste much bacon so I'm thinking the BBQ sauce might have overpowered it. Naturally you need fries with your dog. We had both the hand cut regular fries and the sweet potato fries. The sweet potato came with a side of cinnamon honey butter which I appreciated because personally I don't like it poured on top. You don't come here for a 'healthy' meal but when you're craving carbs and a delicious dog then this is the place for you. 2021-62

Yelp
HOT DIGGITY DOG!!! I ain't a hot day gal but frankly, I may be converted to one after a bomb diggity meal from Frank's gourmet! The Yelp Elite promo to celebrate Frank's accomplishment at being top 100 places to eat brought me in for the first time and WOW. JUST WOW! Looped a few friends in and we ordered a few dogs and a bunch of fries and oh boy did we feast! Not only was only ordering super easy and smooth, service was friendly and literally on time on the dot! We got 2x Frank Mi, 1x violet Beureguard (sp!?) sweet potatoes, and reg fries. The dogs themselves are fabulous, local and made with quality meat packed with flavour + the freshest ingredients to top em! The frank mi is a spunky collection of flavours where the pickled veg and spicy jalapeños complimented the dog perfectly for a fresh and funky flavour. The violet was a fun combo of sweet and tangy blueberry jam and crunchy onions that was delicious. Both fries were crispy and perfectly salted, sweet taters are thick and come with honey butter sauce. So satisfying! Also grab a house dipping sauce for only 99 cents extra, well worth it! (Spicy sriracha aioli) Wow how lucky are we to have such a fun and tasty location serving up delicious dawgs, burgers, fries and local eats!

Yelp
They've done it again! I've never been disappointed with Frank's and don't think I ever will be! COVID-19 safety? Check. Friendly service? Check! DELICIOUS HOT DOGS, Fries and BURGERS?! Check, Check and Check! So tasty - highly recommended - catch their specials too especially the gluten free fish fry!! Yum!!

Brian B.

Yelp
A+ burgers and fries (and dipping sauces). Very importantly, they have -- and clearly label -- some GLUTEN-FREE options! The people who run the joint are nice. The setting is pretty functional, but with a few colorful stylistic touches. It's not really a place for hanging out, but for consuming scrumptious food.

Yelp
Just picked up my Yelp Elite Perk plus some extra yummies at this place... order was ready when I got there, very timely... place was sparking clean. Staff member was super friendly and polite! I ordered the Hogtied dog... onions were crispy, crunchy. Dog was flavorful and there was a sprinkling of cheese which gave it a nice flavor! The bun was fresh and delicious. I give it a 10 as far as hotdogs go! Hand cut fries were crisp and had a regular potato flavor as you would expect... very tasty! Not blow you out of the water great, but very good... The double bacon cheeseburger was really good! Really juicy, really bacony, cheesy and pickly... really! I'd order it again... The patio is open and being used on this sunny day, but inside is still closed, so you can pick up and eat outside at the sunny picnic tables... there was even a game of catch going on! I can see why it was voted in the top 100 on Yelp!

Yelp
A local favorite brick and mortar restaurant as a result of their food truc. Since the pandemic haven't been out much but today is a great day. I wasn't sure what to eat because I usually order hot dogs and fries today I had the Modern Chicago dog and a small fry. As good as they always are however, I saw the pastrami sandwich special today so I gave it a try It wasn't good no, it was excellent! Delicious!. 1/4-1/2 inch slabs of spiced smoked beef on soft rye bread with mustard. Really had great flavor and left me wanting for more. Luckily I still had the fries that were good greasy and salty shoestring type potatoes with ketchup. I have had Chicago hot dogs before and when I first looked at their version I wasn't impressed. When I began to eat the Franks Gourmet version it was so good. All beef dog grilled Tomato jam, yellow mustard, spicy house peppers, pickle. That tomato jam was so flavorful. I believe I may have to check it out again to make sure it wasn't a dream. Well done.

Yelp
I love the burgers here. The gluten free buns drew me in, the burgers themselves keep me coming back. Easily one of the best burger places around! We used to live around the corner, but now we're an hour away and we STILL get burgers from here regularly! The people are great, they always take care not to accidentally cross contaminate the food, which is nice, and it's always nice and clean inside. There's also a back patio for the nicer weather. Fries are good, sweet potato fries are worth trying if you've never had, and the burgers are just great. I'm sure the other food rocks as well, I just haven't yet graduated past the burger

Yelp
Cool little spot on Tonawanda/Kenmore/North Buff border. All sorts of fun hot dog toppings and creations that I need to try. Ordered just a plain dog that my daughter wanted some of and we both enjoyed. The small fry was very big for two people and were amazing. Top 5 in the area, easily. Have heard rave reviews about burgers and chicken sandwiches there. Staff was friendly, large area out back that is dog friendly. Will be back to try some more items!

Yelp
At the recommendation of fellow Yelper Jurel, I had added Frank's to my collection of places to try. He had recommended also trying the chx bahn mi. I was in the neighborhood on a Friday around 1pm and decided to order online to try it out. Currently, you have to order in advance and cannot show up at their restaurant to place an order. I ordered the chx bahn mi and a small order of fries. I arrived about 4 minutes early and had to stand and wait for my order for a short amount of time. When I got home, about 20 minutes later, the food was still warm. The sandwich was great. This chicken sandwich has so much flavor packed in that my taste buds were in overdrive. The fries were magical. I love fresh cut fries, and these were off the hook. I added malt vinegar to them at home and chef's kiss. Next time, I'm trying the Nashville chicken sandwich. It came to just under $20 with tip, and I thought that was a little pricey for a sandwich and fries. This isn't someplace you can go all the time, or it will drain your bank account, but it is a place where you can go to treat yourself.

Yelp
These guys were named to Yelp's Top 100 list for a reason! I tried Frank back in high school before I really ate anything that has flavor, so we decided to give them a shot last night. Ordered takeout online and the process was seamless. It's easy to adjust your order and choose when you'd like to pick it up. The inside of the restaurant was very colorful and the staff was so nice! It would be cool to try when they reopen their doors for indoor dining. I got the Modern Chicago dog with no mustard. It was packed with flavor! The peppers were a little too spicy for my liking but regardless it was pretty tasty. Boyfriend got the Hell's Kitchen and he loved it! We each got fries and got a few of their sauces to try. 10/10 recommend the sriracha aioli. The salt and vinegar aioli was good too! I'm excited to try it here again. There's much left to be explored on their menu.

Yelp
I decided to stop by Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs to pick up my Yelp Elite perk while I was in the area. I wasn't sure if I would get my order as I had placed it online right when they were closing. Fortunately they accepted the order and were very friendly when I went in to pick it up. I ordered the Frank Mi Dog (pickled vegetables, cucumber, jalapenos, sriracha aioli, and cilantro). I am very picky about the texture of the meat in my hot dog. The texture of the meat was good, along with the flavor. Overall, I loved this hot dog. I did not eat the jalapenos on it as I was expecting fresh cut or pickled jalapenos. These, on the other hand, appeared to be fried with cheese. I dont consume cheese, so I scraped them off. I also ordered a small fries. Wow, there were a lot of fries for a "small". I am not sure where there has been a rise in the price of french fries in most establishments. Either way, the price of these fries are justified to where I'd easily buy fries from here as opposed to anywhere else. I will be coming back as I want to try their Nashville Spicy Chicken, their Honey Butter Sweet Fries, some of their sauces, and maybe a few more of their hot dogs. Oh, they also have beer!

Yelp
Frank's is in a great location and has a cute, colorful decor. I'm not the type of person who ever craves a hot dog or goes out to get one but this place has great dogs and may have changed my mind. I tried the Bahn Mi dog with pickled veggies and fried jalapeños with a spicy aioli and cilantro garnish. It was a tasty hot dog, had a good bite to it and the bun was grilled and had a charbroiled flavor. The fresh cut fries were so good with their flaked sea salt and multiple aioli dips you can purchase along with them. We tried salt & vinegar and the dill. Both were excellent with the crispy fries. The smash burger was also amazing with a soft grilled roll and you can choose whatever toppings you want (additional fee for some toppings on the regular single burger). We will be back for sure because I will be craving those fries!

Yelp
Great food. Enough seating for indoor and outdoor. Great menu selection. Super nice staff. Would recommend will be returning to try more options.

Yelp
Helping to celebrate Frank making the Yelp 100 list. The Elite event offered a free dog and small fries. I requested the standard dog without pickle (large dill slice is laid alongside the dog within the bun--that's the standard hot dog) and without ketchup. I got the free small fries for sharing, but also ordered the sweet potato fries. Frank sweet tater fries are the best. I've not yet had a burger at Frank, but must soon, and I also must try the new BPT. Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwich. Still in covid time, ordering online and paying online is easy and efficient. You say what day, what time you want to pick up and it's ready when you get there. Take home, eat in car, go to a park, or enjoy sitting at the outdoor picnic tables out back. In all, another great experience at Frank Gourmet Hot dogs! P.S. For quickest and easiest ordering, go to https://www.findfranknow.com/menu. Also, their menu there will show you photos of all the usual items plus anything new. Until I perused the menu, I'd forgotten the very first hot dog I had at Frank -- The Proud Mary. That is one I've got to have again, but not until after I have the BPT and after I have the Hog-tied.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this place yet. Being a long time fan of Frank and his crew I've stalked the truck to find out where they are and now routinely pop in for their amazing specials. First and foremost I would say if you aren't following them on social media do so and sign up for the weekly email blasts. This truly is the method to stay update with their hours of operations and specials. Second, you may know them for their hot dogs but their specials are where it is at. Since moving into the garage and having their kitchen Frank and his team have come out with some amazing meals and even played around with the breakfast scene. In my opinion the Cubano is the BEST in Buffalo, yes I said it and yes I've posted numerous photos here. Next I love the BPT, a fried pork cutlet sandwich too big for its bun but not too big to indulge in (for a few meals). I am still a fan of the hot dogs and of course the amazing fries. I highly recommend the salt and vinegar sauce or the dijonaise. You can stick with boring old ketchup but if you're here I'd recommend to kick it up a notch. Lastly Frank and his team has done a great job in 2020, they've donated meals to front line workers and have taken covid precautions seriously. Masks are required for entry and orders are only being taken online for pick up. (I think delivery services like Uber and GrubHub are available).

Yelp
I'm going to start this out by saying these are the best burgers in Buffalo, hands down. So I definitely recommend this to anyone living or visiting the area as a go to place. The burgers are delicious, as are their fries (both the regular and sweet potato). They have a number of interesting and delicious sounding specials (though I'm a creature of habit and have not gotten sick of my double bacon cheeseburger yet). But honestly, it's the service that gets me about the place. Frank and his brother really have that down and know how to make a customer feel welcome. I think his name is Paul, is an amazing dude who actually remembers our orders and what our regulars are and prepares any special requests to perfection, every time. They are also very organized and have been throughout the pandemic, and managed to communicate that to customers very well. This has created a comfortable atmosphere in the building, whether you stay or easy or take it out.

Yelp
Easily my favorite restaurant. They have allergy friendly food. I've never had a bad meal there. The fries are soooo good. The specials are always on point. I love sitting outside on the patio in the summer.

Yelp
I came here on a whim after hearing how good the hotdogs were. I do love hotdogs. So for my annual hotdog this was the place. I got the barbecue one, and I got some of their fries too. I used the salt and vinegar dipping sauce. There's tons of easy parking here; there's a nice large patio with tons of tables outside, it's actually quite lovely given all the Covid restrictions these days. 3901

Yelp
Food was excellent. Very creative take on hot dogs. I love the ban-mi dogs. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
We love Frank Gourmet, and honestly we've never had a hot dog there, the chicken sandwiches and burgers are the best around and the service is literally amazing, I have no clue how her remembers what my sisters food allergies are even though she gave him her card once and she goes there with us maybe once every six months.

Yelp
I have lived near a south towns hotdog stand for nearly forty years and have been eating there for almost sixty. My girlfriend took me to The Frank last year for a bite. Two gourmet dogs later plus a drink and fries led me back to the counter to tell the owners that I was a customer of said south towns stand and that i would never have one of their plain dogs after what I devoured there. True to this Day!

Yelp
Every now and then there is a place that inspires you and by god, Frank is that place. Forget every other hot dog you've tried. And the burgers, my god, the burgers. This place is burger + hot dog heaven with amazing fresh cut fries as well. You won't find the healthy stuff here, which is why this place will always be a special treat for me - but you can feel good about the food as they don't use nitrates and try to source much of the meat humanely and locally. I came and had the Violet Beauregard which has a unique housemade blueberry BBQ sauce and a bunch of delicious crispy onions (which they PILE ON everything, sweet!). The link itself is long and delicious as well and their fresh cut fries are some of the best around. I'm sad they decided to charge the 79 cents for the dipping sauces, but I get it. They are worth it. Get them. I was a fan of the mayo+honey mustard blend. And a confession: after I finished the hot dog, I got gluttonous and ordered a hog tied burger. I spent minutes staring at the menu because I wasn't sure whether to get a burger or a hot dog. I'm glad I tried the burger after the hot dog. It was soooo worth it. The burgers are AMAZING. If you're a fan of Five Guys, you will love these much more. They also have a nice outside area -- so on a nice hot summer day - grab a beer (yes they have beer too!), a dog and a burger and go hog wild!

Yelp
if you get a chance to get a pastrami burger - get the pastrami burger. regular menu is outstanding but the specials are always extra special.

Yelp
Tried this for the first time last night and was blown away! They are only doing takeout right now and you have to order ahead, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. Online ordering was very easy. My friend and I shared the Violet Beauregarde and the Impractical Joker. Both were delicious!!! The blueberry barbecue sauce on the VB was crazy good. The special sauce on the IJ was like Big Mac sauce or In-N-Out sauce. Highly recommend either. The hotdogs are filling, and the hand cut fries were crispy and salty. We each got a small fry, but definitely could've shared one. Their fry sauce is a must-have, as well! I love that they have a ton of choices for dipping sauce - check out the menu. Being from Buffalo, I didn't think I could like a hotdog other than a Sahlen's, but these were super tasty! Will definitely be back here over the summer to try some other dogs, and the burgers, too. 5 stars!

Yelp
A huge congrats to Frank's Gourmet Hot Dogs for being ranked in Yelp's 100 Best Places to Eat in the US in 2021! I was able to receive a Yelp Elite perk and enjoyed a delicious custom-made hotdog (I chose the Standard for my first time ) and a small order of hand-cut fries. I also added an order of sweet potato fries with honey butter to my order. I couldn't resist trying the salt a& vinegar aioli, pickle aioli, and a ketchup came with my order. Everything was phenomenal! The hand fries were hot and dusted with little bits of crunchy sea salt - divine! The aioli dippers were delicious and I can't even decide which I love more! The hot dog was fantastic- perfectly grilled and on a GF bun which was clearly labeled. I appreciate the extra effort in the details! Right now due to Covid, you could only order online it call ahead but it was easy, quick and accurate. No complaints here. Signage was great and the staff all complied with precautions which was wonderful to see. I will most definitely be coming back to try more of their amazing menu often including their famous GF dinners! Thank you Buffalo Yelp , Alex our fearless leader who makes do many opportunities possible for us, and of course to Frank's for your delicious food, great hospitality and all my best wishes for many more awards and much recognition heading your way! Sto lat i smacznego!

Yelp
Let me be "Frank" with you, I love Hot Dogs. One of the most Common & Classic things to be eaten all over the world. Typically meat packed in tube form basically cooked wither Grilled until charred & crispy or steamed in Hot Water. As soon as you put it in the Bun the possibilities are endless with the vast array of Toppings you can place on it. Franks made from NY Heritage Pork & Grass Fed Beef, with unique toppings giving them certain Names. The Standard goes as Simplistic as to have Ketchup, Mustard, Onions & Pickles (in other words the Works), What an honor it must be to have a Hot Dog named after the guy who was the Food Critic for the New York Times for 5 Years (Frank Bruni) topped with Fresh Kraut & Spicy Mustard. To a Hot Dog with All Beef Chili, Chicago style packed on with Tomato Jam and Spicy Hot Peppers, the Fixings of a Bahn Mi (Pickled Veggies, Jalapeno, Cucumber & Sriracha) to getting Hogtied with a Hot Dog piled high with Bacon, Onions & BBQ Sauce. My 1st taste of there creations came about at (where I usually get to know a lot of new restaurants) the Taste of Buffalo (this was back in 2014). The Big Yellow & Blue Truck with big Red lettering was just parked outside of the Circle. I was in line with about 15 or so people in front of me, by the time I got to the Front I saw a couple of Wienies that caught my interest. The one that sounded decent to me was the Holy Moly. Since I was eating about 2 dozen different things at the time I only got had half of one topped with Guacamole, Cilantro & Sriracha. This would be a Hot Dog, I would enjoy from Buffalo all the way down to Mexico for. Creamy Guacamole combined with Sriracha that Burns a bit. My first real opportunity at eating at Frank's came a few years later. After having Breakfast a few hours ago (see my review for JJ's Cafe), I spent the next 3 Hours walking up & Down Kenmore to pass the time just waiting for them to open up. So along the way I had to look around in some various Stores and walk around the area just to pass the Time. As it was approaching opening time and (pun intended because of the intersection it was) I was Starin out to the other side of the Street thinking of how good and Pretentious these Super-Weenie's are. Obviously I was their 1st Customer of the Day since I got there as soon as they opened, I walked in and looked all around at Tile Floors, Metal Chairs, Wooden Tables and a Novelty Food Truck perched on the Counter where you cash in for your Food. What really blew me away was someone devoting their time to make the Frank's Logo entirely out of Lego's. The time came for me to order so I got the one dog that struck me as Intriguing, the Violet Beauragarde. There are elements on here that differ between normal and abnormal, it was piled high with Crispy Fried Onions, Cheddar Cheese (but the real Kicker) was the Blueberry BBQ Sauce. It took me a few minutes to comprehend why they named this after one of the Characters from the Classic Willy Wonka Movie. But as I went to take a bite I kept wondering, would I turn Violet, would I blow up like a Balloon. The answer is no, this ain't a Movie, its real Life, I bit into it and got Crunchy, Cheesy and Rich all in one. I never thought that a BBQ Sauce made with my Favorite Fruit could taste so Good. Like it was really good but a bit pricey to me, this would not make me come in everyday and spend $ 6.50 on with a Side of Fries. I would stop in every once in while to indulge on Mega powered Tubes of Yumminess. Hot Dogs like so many other Foods (Pasta, Ramen, Burgers etc) are a Canvas for anything you want to put on top of them. Just go for it and let your imagination run Wild, that's my final word Dog. !!!

Yelp
We stopped by Frank today to grab a hot-dog-fix lunch for my ten-year old son, who loves a good hot dog. And Frank did not disappoint! For starters, online ordering is a breeze, and allows for easy customizations. My son's bare-bones ketchup and mustard dog was no prob to configure online. When we arrived for pick-up, parking is ample and easy. The bright building is a cinch to spot. And a very friendly staffer had our order packaged well, and ready to go. There is no dine-in at this pandemic time, but there is some outdoor picnic seating, if the weather is agreeable. My son was quite pleased with his dogs! As the proprietor of this venture, I did sample a bite. It was a high-quality hot dog, with that taut casing that snaps when you bite in. A lengthy longer-than-bun-sized frank, too. The bun was fluffy and fresh. My son gladly gobbled up his hot dog--and his second hot dog, too. As I said, he's a hot dog enthusiast! We had a small fries as well, which was a generous portion. They were fresh-cut fries, that definitely tasted that way. A softer, chewier fries, which is the way I like them, so no complaints on my bite. And no complaints from my son, who polished them off. One thing that precludes us from coming to Frank as often as we may like more regularly is the lack of a lower-cal option. I WOULD ADORE a hot dog salad! Frank has a bunch of creatively-topped dogs, all that look delectable. I'd love if there were a healthier option, maybe with a turkey dog, where you could get the creative toppings and a lighter dog on a salad instead of a bun. Or maybe on a lettuce wrap? One can dream--maybe Frank will make my dream come true! Or let me know if I totally missed that on the menu, haha. Overall we're happy with Frank! Frank serves up a quality hot dog that is delicious more plain, for a dude with simpler tastes such as my son. Or Frank has many inventive toppings to try for those who are more adventurous. Enjoy Frank! (And it is Frank, no "s", I learned that from the sign today too, ha!) :-D
