Nice neighborhood no-frills cafe serving some standard options with a Vietnamese food / drink menu. Ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, as one always should when available, and a croissant. Both delicious. Croissant large and buttery. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is very pleasant and the spirit of Oakland. Will definitely return to try vegetarian bahn mi.

First time here. Ordered the grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich. It was ok. The pork was good but not much of it compared to the amount of veggies. They have many drink selections from Costco. They also have cut fruits and flan cup desserts in the fridge. They use the Louisiana hickory coffee for their Vietnamese style coffee.

Super great experience here! Their spicy grilled sandwich was super yummy and very sizeable especially for $10! The ingredients tasted fresh and the baguette was perfectly toasted. I would say the chicken tasted yummy and well marinated but to me it could have used a bit more spice to be called “spicy.” The mango strawberry smoothie was huge for 16oz and what a great price and tasted so yummy!! There were plenty of seats which was nice and staff was friendly. Overall, would definitely come back!

man i love fresh n best :D the banh mis huge and very fresh. I've tried juices, coffees, and smoothies and they never disappoint. i plan to come back again to try the rice bowls. just so you know, either order ahead or come before 12:15 to save time. it gets really slow from 12:20-1 pm

Best banh mis in the area for a great price. My first choice spot every time! I always get the Vietnamese coffee and grilled pork banh mi. I shamelessly get their banh mis every week, sometimes twice a week.

We got the croissant breakfast sandwich and the shrimp spring rolls. To start the croissant was amazing if you are going to get one thing here you can not go wrong with this sandwich. The spring rolls were a miss they were not bad just had way too much mint and cilantro to be able to taste any of the other parts. The service here could definitely be improved. There were six people working but it seemed that only two had any idea about what was going on or what needed to be done.

Best huge and fresh banh mi on the West side of the lake! They take card and offer healthy juices, smoothies, and amazing breakfast wraps or Vietnamese banh mi. Stopped by for some late lunch and was so glad I got the grilled chicken banh mi. So flavorful! Their smoothies are all amazing blends, good consistency. Small size is 16oz and it's perfect for one. High quality and healthy, plus affordable! Fresh and Best is def on my go-to list

I really wanted to like this place. I had high expectations for the banh mi and it fell completely flat. I got the spicy chicken and it was flavorless, which left me puzzled. It was a good sized sandwich for a good price, and the bread was fresh - but again, there was NO flavor oddly enough (and no, I don't have COVID). Maybe the other flavors are better? I had to cover it in Sriracha to get at least some tastiness out of it. The service was fast and efficient. I don't know, it could have just been a one off day or even a one off sandwich. Maybe I'll try it again, but with all the other options for banh mi in Oakland, I won't be rushing back any time soon.
