Great meal that exceeded expectations, service went above and beyond and you can really taste that each dish was tastefully crafted to deliver the best flavor profile. i had such an amazing experience at frida! from the food to the service to the atmosphere everything was a 10/10. the portions and the quality were great for the price and you could really tell a lot of effort and passion went into making the dishes. we were give. the offer to split our entrees onto 2 different plates so we could share easily and it was so nice of them to go through the extra effort of doing so. shoutout to our waitress Lillian who gave us amazing recommendations and made our night so much more enjoyable. highly highly recommend this restaurant! my boyfriend and i were talking about coming back as soon as we left :)

Everything about this place was fantastic! The food was delicious - we got the short rib empanadas & shared the chimichurri skirt steak (what you see is half a portion of the entire dish, perfect to share!) and got the whipped potatoes instead of the grits. The ambiance was amazing, perfect for a date night or girls night. Will definitely be back when in town!

From the moment that we got there and sat down, our waitress, Liz, promptly took care of us. This was our first time visiting this restaurant and didn't know what to expect. Our daughter bought us a nice gift card as a Christmas gift saying that she knew that we loved southwest cooking and that she and her husband really enjoyed the food there. She was so right, we loved the atmosphere, the wait staff, our comfortable "little corner", the patience and helpfulness of our waitress when ordering and the most delicious food that we were served! Nothing could have been better than our evening at Frida's Southwest in the Paseo District. My mouth waters just thinking about the exceptionally superb food prepared and served to us by a chef that knows their craft!

The customer service was impeccable. The kitchen and staff went above and beyond to ensure my safety and satisfaction for my food allergies! Can’t wait to go back!!

I took my fiancée to dinner at FRIDA to celebrate right after proposing to her! I let them know that we’d be celebrating our new engagement as well as our 4 year anniversary when I made the reservation, and they seated us in the cutest little corner booth in the whole restaurant!! I believe our waitress was Amanda (I could be wrong, but she’s a ball of sunshine and also newly engaged), and she took the best care of us. She is truly an expert at what she does; she took very special care of our allergies, checked on us *just* enough and not too much, and gave us incredible recommendations. We typically like to try new restaurants on our anniversary, but we might have to make this a tradition! Note to add that this is coming from a patron who usually does not write go out of their way to write reviews unless asked to by the business, which was not the case here. I’m just still thinking about our wonderful experience days later. 💖

WOW this place really blew me away. Visiting from out of town with a group (plus my local cousin), this place was the standout of our trip for all of us. I was immediately struck by the trendy but classy vibe and pleasantly surprised it wasn't busier given how much I enjoyed the food. To start, I'd also like to mention that the cocktails are exquisite. Some of our group was indecisive and the bar staff really pulled through with providing something enjoyable for them. I loved the old fashioned and when we later visited the adjoining bar before departing, I had a carrot based cocktail that knocked my socks off. Most importantly, however, I cannot overstate how much I enjoyed their Chilean Seabass. I know what you're thinking, "a great fish dish in Oklahoma??" I can assure you YES, it's one of the best I've had anywhere. Two of us ordered it and we were practically licking the plate clean. If you're prepared to spend a bit, I can assure you it's worth it. I sadly do not recall the name of our server (we dined here on 3/9), but she was extremely attentive and helpful. Much appreciated and compliments to the chef!

My spouse and I are here for an anniversary dinner and it was a great experience. We made a reservation on a weekday and while it may not have been necessary I’m very glad we did. I love how light and bright it is in here. The modern furnishings fit perfectly in the atmosphere as well. Our server was very attentive, too. Everything we had here was delicious: short rib egg rolls as the April special was absolutely delicious. My spouse’s filet was cooked well and compound butter was so delicious. I liked the flavors and toppings of my Southwest Caesar salad. We also received complimentary cornbread with a delicious salted butter. Very good and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Wanted to give an updated review on Frida since my last review was written over a year ago. I chalked my last experience up to a misunderstanding with the kitchen. I have been back to Frida a few times since then and I will say that the food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant is always consistent. Today a friend and I walked in without a reservation and luckily that had a table available in the back room "the Daley". I really love this back bar area, it's so nice and cozy, perfect for a date night or party. Our server, Dave was fantastic, attentive and very kind. Always making sure our drinks were filled. I loved my Mexican hot chocolate latte! It definitely had a kick but i will be back for another. Ordered my favorite appetizer which is the southwest spring rolls, still they are cooked to perfect, crispy, cheesy and paired with sauces for extra flavor. My friend also loved her breakfast tacos, she subbed them for shrimp instead of chorizo. Thank you Frida for a great brunch!

Service was tops. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the Chilean Seabass. Very disappointed for a 50 plate, 30 is pushing it imo. Lacking in flavor and greasy/oily beurre blanc sauce, expected more. It's supposed to be made with dry white wine. Fish lacked flavor and needed more greens on the bottom to balance the flavor. All the seasoning was on the last 10-8% of the fish. I will not go again, better food out there for less.

Really disappointed with our experience last night, at what's usually one of my most recommended restaurants in Okc. I recognize it was NYE, but it was no different than any other Friday or Saturday night crowd. We chose to sit at the bar. The hostesses were very polite as usual, and we were quickly seated. The bartenders were very pushy to order food- we hadn't even ordered drinks. So we ordered drinks, but my first drink was made wrong. The bar was only about half full. Our app was very good- had the empanadas. For our entree, we ordered the tamale trio ;which we've had before). It came out just warm and lacked any flavor- really a bad dish. We also ordered the lobster corn risotto...only 3 small pieces of lobster. Overall, a very disappointing experience especially on NYE.

Service was incredible. The menu here is exactly what I thought being southwest cuisine. I tried the redfish with crawfish etouffee. It looked absolutely amazing when it came to the table but it was a little cold. My husband had the ribeye special and sadly it was a little disappointing. It was a thin piece of steak and for the price we were expecting a big thick juicy ribeye. This was our 2nd time visiting Frida's in OKC and still recommend it even though we didn't 100% love our meals. The espresso martini was delicious.

Went for a brunch on a weekend with a reservation. Excellent experience. We were seated quickly and waited on so attentively. We each tried a coffee and different menu item. All so delicious and they were so gracious to offer that if we didn't like it they could make us something else since it was our first time. Will definite be back. The space is open and tall ceilings so it feels fancy if you are looking for that!

Truly excellent cuisine and a super-stylish interior with a cool vibe. Got the tamales, the tuna tartare and the soup of the day (a beef stew of some type). Also their cornbread pieces with butter are incredible - service (at the bar) was also exceptional and top notch. Another highly recommended OKC landmark (in the Paseo District with a lot of other great restaurants).

Ryan was my waiter and if you are lucky enough to have him, you will have the best experience! He was very knowledgeable and personable! The place is very clean and has the best vibes! The food was on point, had me ready to go to sleep immediately. I'm still here leaving a review because it was that good! Haha

This meal was literally the best, most amazing meal we've ever eaten. We have eaten here multiple times but the lobster tail stuffed crab was unbelievable!! Perfectly cooked lobster tail, moist crab cake. The pasta with shrimp and pieces of lobster was phenomenal. We also had the Chilean sea bass with a risotto lemon beurre blanc was also perfectly cooked. Our waitress was adorable and attentive. Ask for Arantxa. She won't disappoint!! The atmosphere was perfect!!

Sad to see the seafood tamale is not included with the appetizers right now. Apparently the first time they took it off the menu. Bring it back soon please. I tried the special. Crab Cake and Scallop Risotto. It was good but I was so set on getting the tamales.

We can't get enough of FRIDA! When friends from Tulsa say they're coming to town and where would recommend if they want a really great meal we say FRIDA! And they're always thrilled. Of course, it's even better when they ask if we want to go with them. Which is what happened tonight. What's there to even say? The Burata.... GET IT! With smoked sourdough. Sounds crazy?! You can't even imagine. I got the skirt steak and my husband got the pork chop. He asked for the green beans to be switched out of the chimichuri cauliflower. (I know, tastes as good as it sounds). Well, it came out with the green beans. When our amazing server came out to see how things were I mentioned it. Her response? "Thank you for letting me know" and she brought out a bowl - in a flash. If FRIDA is a possibility for you, do yourself a Favor. You will Be so happy. I am not overpromising. It's impossible when you go to FRIDA

I wish I could love this place as much as everyone else in my circle! This is the third time I've tried the restaurant and every time I walk away thinking the food was just ok. The best meal I have had so far was the skirt steak but even then it was a little salty for my taste. I absolutely love the ambience and friendliness of the staff. I'm just not craving their food as much as everyone else. I believe there are better tasting (and more affordable) restaurants in the area. That's my 2 cents!

Frida's new summer menu is here and it is not disappointing a single soul. The craft cocktails are of course knocking everyone's socks off. My favorite is currently the "Million Dollar Man." It's so smooth with a refreshing lychee taste on the back end. As far as food, I have managed to eat my way through: The crab dip The heart of palm ceviche- which was incredibly wowing and beyond fresh! The blacken redfish etouffee- twice. TWICE! The avocado risotto And of course all of my normal menu favorites. Don't walk, RUN! And tell them I sent you.

One of my favorite places for a special night out. The food and service have always been spectacular and the ambiance is perfect.

10/10 food, service, ambiance Patio is so nice right now!!! Food was so flavorful and beautifully plated Server was sweet and friendly and great recommendations! Fresh food sourced locally! Brunch was brunch'n I had the cinnamon roll to share I could eat that orange cream cheese glaze by itself it was so so rich and scrumptious!!!! Huge share with a friend. Large portions, chilaquiles were crispy with a nice spicy green sauce and shredded tender chicken. Yumm!!!! Queso fresco would be a nice addition bc I don't do cotija. Bloody Mary was nice and strong and did her job! Chicken and waffle was huge and I think the waffle is cornbread mixture type... lovely vibe for friends or lover to enjoy brunch! Definitely will be back for dinner! I want to try everything on the menu! Make reservations it was packed!

Highly recommend this place! A friend recommended it to us and it did not disappoint. The Good: - Our waiter Noah was a delight! He was very present and did a great job taking care of us. I disclosed to Noah that i have a pretty bad sesame allergy and he confirmed with the kitchen that everything would be safe for me to eat. -We went for brunch specifically - the food is excellent. Lots of great options to choose from. I had the breakfast tacos and a friend ordered the Croissant French Toast to share - it was a crowd pleaser. Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered too. - Great ambiance. Lots of open space and seating options. The Bad: - None! I would definitely come back next time im in OKC.

Dinner on the patio started with lovely weather and friendly service, but the meal did not live up to expectations. The one thing I do want to highlight is how friendly and helpful the main FOH was. Shortly after receiving appetizers they helped us move inside (to a completely packed restaurant) due to getting overwhelmed with flys. (I would caution a patio seat for this reason, multiple were constantly attacking our food). They courteously and thoughtfully found some bar seating for us and were kind about the whole thing. The food however was just not great. We started with the barata, the flavors were ok but the cheese did not pull apart at all. The bread was toasted very slightly on some edges and completely soft on 80% of the bread. The vegan Heart of palm ceviche was the best thing we had and was fresh and bursting with flavor. None of us were vegan but we loved this dish. The tortilla soup was ok, it felt undersalted to me. The Etoufee was enjoyed and all around a nice dish, however the two other entrees we ordered the pork chop and chimichurri skirt steak were not hits. Neither were bad just not particularly good or something we would order again. The food looked great all night, but the taste rarely lived up to the look. Overall an ok experience, but for the price I don't think I will go back.

We came here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and sat on their gorgeous patio and had a great time! Reservations for the large group of 10 for a Saturday night was easy (we booked 1 wk in advance) and Frida Southwest was so flexible. On top of that- everything we ate was amazing!! We had several apps, and the crab dip was particularly the huge hit among our entire party. I got the chimichurri steak which was delicious, and a few of us were crazy about the amazing Brussels sprouts that came as a side. I got to try the sea bass someone else ordered which was also delightful! And the service for our large party? Spectacular. Everyone was wonderful and we all had a great time! Some of our friends who came that evening are now hooked on Frida and dine here very frequently!!

I've tried Frida for brunch where I sat at the patio and happy hour where I sat at the bar. Excellent burrata and cinnamon roll. Was less impressed with the Bloody Mary, but I think the atmosphere contributes a lot to the experience

This place was so cute. They had a Taylor swift theme drinks. The best egg rolls and shrimp and grits from the city that I've tried. We sat at the bar during Sunday brunch cause they were packed!!!! This place-- fantastic! I made the mistake of not booking a reservation early, especially for a Friday night. They get PACKED! I showed up around 745/8pm, the patio was open for immediate seating. It was a little chilly, but they did have outdoor heaters. Our waitress was amazing, I wish I got her name, but the staffing here is wonderful. If whiskey is your thing, they have a full bar and they make THE BEST whiskey sour I've ever had, and the only way to have them is with whites. We started with the heart of palm "calamari" (vegan), and it was okay, different but not bad! I ordered the sugarcane scallops for my entree and delicious! It was cooked to perfection, great texture and freshness, and I loved that they were bacon wrapped. The sauce paired so nicely with the dish. My friend opted for the braised short rib, and they enjoyed their meal as well. Overall, the experience was amazing and I'd highly recommend!

Our waitress was amazing. She was so sweet and polite. The decor inside is really beautiful and we were in love with the glasses and plates used. I had a vegan coffee cocktail and we shared vegan carrot cake. It was all very delicious. Our water was constantly refilled and the staff were all very kind. The bathroom was not clean but it was all pink and pretty! The music was a bit loud at one point I couldn't hear a word my husband was saying. They had parking available and I definitely want to come try dinner here.

This place was amazing!!! From my coffee to the cinnamon roll to my entree, it's by far my favorite place I went to when visiting OKC. Service was great as well! The restaurant itself is beautiful. Definitely get the cinnamon roll to share with the table!

YUM!! I can't say enough good things about our dining experience at FRIDA! Everything was incredible from start to finish. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was SO good! The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the creamy grits had just the right amount of seasoning. My husband went for the etouffee, which was rich and packed with flavor--definitely a standout dish! To top it all off, we shared the dark chocolate pistachio cheesecake for dessert. It was the perfect ending to our meal--rich, decadent, and just the right amount of sweetness. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Thanks for a great date night - 10/10 recommend!

Frida is my favorite place. I go there when I can. I don't live anywhere near Oklahoma City but it's worth the hour drive. The Daley is the special speakeasy within Frida. You have to specifically choose that in your reservation - it's worth sitting in there. There is open bar seating. So if you're lucky, you can walk in and get one of the bar seats. And that's even more worth sitting at because then you get to watch the show and catch the vibe of high level cocktails. Colby, my favorite bartender there, has always been a gem. He is very gracious, knowledgeable and creative and makes you feel extremely welcome. I always love getting a seat at the bar and being in the hum of the energy of that place. As a person who's a restaurant owner and has been in the food and beverage industry for 23 years, this place is a well oiled machine with good training and very consistent everything. The food is 100% excellent all of the time. They make a lot of accommodation for gluten-free, dairy, free, nut allergy. And the conscientiousness really shows through the culture of the place.

The food was amazing. Everything tasted so incredible. It was very well prepared and thought out. The service was perfect. The stacked enchiladas were excellent. You must try the queso fundido. We also ordered the wild isle salmon that was unbelievable. The ambiance was upscale but also casual in a way that most fit in. It was surprisingly affordable at around $100 for two. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in OKC.

Had girls brunch at Frida Southwest today. It's really nice inside. Seating was good. It was a little loud because it was crowded. Service was super friendly and attentive. We ordered lattes and a cinnamon roll to start. Then brioche french toast and Frida breakfast with a side of bacon. The food was fantastic. They sold out of apple empanadas so I couldn't get one. Order those fast they are popular. It was pretty pricey so be prepared.

On this special Mother's Day, my revisit to Fridas was nothing short of exceptional. Previously dazzled by their brunch, dinner proved equally impressive. The warm welcome by the lovely hostess set the tone for an evening of attentive service, notably from our server, Arantxa, who offered excellent recommendations and consistently checked on us. The highlight of my meal was the Chilean Seabass, which was delightfully tender and flavorful, truly melting in my mouth. My son's enchiladas were also a hit, leaving us both thoroughly impressed. Fridas remains a gem with its stellar food and service, and I eagerly anticipate exploring more of their menu on future visits.

This is not my first review for Frida Southwest! At least my fourth visit and it's always been excellent! Becoming one of our go to restaurants for a very nice meal!

LOOK, if you've been thinking about coming here. Don't think just go! My family and I came here for my sisters birthday as we were visiting her in Oklahoma and she mentioned this place was really good. The ambiance is a clean chic to. If you're by yourself, you can sit at the gorgeous lit up bar right when you come in. I also think there is a speakeasy here somewhere in the back but we did not check that out. The menu had plenty of appetizing options and flavors to explore. If you're wanting a savory appetizer get the Queso! You will not regret the cheesy and pepper goodness! Our waitress what's super nice and made suggestions and answered any questions we needed. What we ate: Shrimp and Grits: I literally cleaned this plate up! I was a bit hesitant at first because I hadn't had grits since I was little at my grandmas house and honestly wasn't sure what this restaurants "specialty" is. But when I tell you that the shrimp was so flavorful and juice and paired well with this cheesy grits and bits of bacon, corn, and peppers. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved this meal so much that I have been thinking about re-creating it. This is definitely a must try! Chilean Seabass: My mom loved this Seabass! She also cleaned the plate (which she is normally picky about how her fish is made but they knocked her out of the parks with this one). Wood-Grilled Chimichurri Skirt Steak: My dad and bf both got this meal. I got to try a piece of the skirt steak in the chimichurri sauce and it was absolutely full of flavor and paired great with the steak. They also cleaned their plate. Cheese Quesadilla: If you have a picky kid, they are willing to cater. My little sister is a picky eater and she enjoyed her quesadillas. All our cocktails were pretty tasty! Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. P.s if your a Swifty fan; the current cocktail names are named after Taylor Swift songs. My little sister was literally thrilled. The waitress was nice enough to make her a non-alcoholic version.

I enjoyed my meal. I let my spouse try my leftovers when I got home and he enjoyed them as well. The chai latte was one of the best I've had but was a bit on the sweet side for me (I'm sure this is adjustable, I didn't ask). The SW egg rolls were some of the best I've tried. The stacked enchiladas were super tasty. My only criticism would be that the tortillas were a bit tough. The atmosphere and service were stellar. The servers were all really nice. I even forgot to ask for nondairy milk but they were really kind and patient with me about having it remade. Overall I'm quite satisfied with the meal and service.

My family loves Frida Southwest's hospitality and delicious vegan options. We very much appreciate the attentiveness shown in the service and the preparation of the meals. Frida Southwest is the place to go if you want a relaxed atmosphere with top-notch service. Whether you visit with family or an evening out with friends, you will not be disappointed.

Everything from top to bottom at Frida is amazing. The food, the service and the ambiance is all there. I have tried a lot of the menu and have never had a bad thing! Highly recommend this restaurant, by far one of the best in the city.

Stopped in at the Frida bar last night for drinks and dinner. We arrived around 5:15p on a Friday afternoon (they open at 5) and there was only one other couple at the bar. Frida gets busy. I'm not sure if we would have been able to get a table without a reservation on a walk in Friday night, but the bar is open seating if anything is available. The bar is a very open space, but not too noisy. It is easy to get away from the doors during the winter cold if you come early. Jacob greeted us at the bar and made small talk all throughout. There were several bar staff always helping and making sure we had what we needed, but Jacob ran point. He was very knowledgeable with spirits and the wine selections. He offered a pairing for the main that was a smash hit. It's not often that I ask for an outside of the box cocktail that I don't get a serious long questioning gaze. Jacob knew exactly what I was talking about and mixed everything perfectly for all of the drinks we ordered both on and off menu. For food we had the seasonal lump crab dip as an appetizer, the winter harvest salad, the soup of the day (butternut squash), and the sea bass. We split the salad and the seabass. The kitchen actually plated them for us as split which was very nice and made eating just the right amount a simple task. Can I just say that the food and the service at Frida consistently impresses me as some of the best in OKC. I cannot give them 6 stars, but would if I could!

So sad I dug in so quick and forgot to take pics! Amazing cocktails, service and food were both amazing. I was so thankful for the knowledgeable and helpful waitress who helped me find ways to modify the menu to support my current dairy free endeavor. Go to Fridas. Eat literally everything, especially the fundido. I mean, I could go into specifics but seriously I've never had anything bad there, from their cocktails to food. Their manager, Dawn, is a flipping rockstar. The staff is always on point. It's beautiful ambiance, so clean yourself up and have dinner (or brunch).

Revisiting after a long while (pre COVID) and was greatly anticipating our meal (as were the other six people in our party). Many of our group had heard friends say they had had the best meal of their life there. (I had been one of them.) We started with the queso fundido and the SW eggrolls. Both were good but I remember the queso better on the last visit. I ordered the Tamale Trio (a mushroom, sweet potato and green chile). I remember having one veggie tamale here before and it being divine. These were just OK. I could not tell one tamale from the other. The sauce and topping, however, was delicious. Around the table, I did hear rave reviews for the shrimp and grits, the chicken and the salmon (especially the salmon). Drinks were delicious. Our group tried the Wildest Dreams (Nolet's gin, lemon-infused vodka, aloe liqueur, dry curacao, lemon, lime, soda water, butterfly peaflower tea), the You're on your Own Kid (Buffalo Trace bourbon, sherry, citrus, vanilla, and blood orange liqueurs, orange juice, citric acid, orange and angostura bitters), and a lot of the Cruel Summers (silver rum, vodka, passionfruit liqueur, Velvet Falernum, grenadine, lime, pineapple). The peaflower cocktail was the most fun to watch being presented. All were GREAT! I recommend getting a reservation. I will order something different next time.

One of the best restaurants in OKC, hands down! If you want upscale Southwest American Mexican/New Mexican cuisine, this is your place. Don't even worry about it. You have found THE ONE. First of all, this restaurant is lovely. Very elegantly decorated. Second of all, the food is super high quality. The ingredients you'd swear came right from the garden/dairy farm/animal sanctuary in their own backyard. Fresh and glorious. Here's what we tried: SEAFOOD TAMALE house made green chile tamale, shrimp, lobster, crab, scallop, sherry cream * That sherry cream is LUXURY, sweet and sort of maple-y. Ugh. I could drink it. This is probably the best tamale of my life, y'all. Not "fishy" - it was just perfect. Scallop was a seared masterpiece. A heavenly balanced, cohesive dish. SHORT RIB EMPANADAS green chile, wild mushroom, goat cheese, ancho chile demi * These were fantastic! The empanada shell was so beautifully flaky, tenderfully crunchy. No cheese inside, and you prefer it that way. The goat cheese smear is all you need. SOUTHWEST SPRING ROLLS pulled chicken, rajas, corn, black beans, pico, chihuahua cheese, parmesan-asiago cream, green chili pesto, chipotle gastrique * These are filled with all your favorite southwest things. The epitome of quality ingredients. You eat it, and you feel light and joyful, maybe even skinnier if that is what you're going for. A cozy food. Like familiar music or a childhood secret. TAMALE TRIO mushroom, green chile, and sweet potato tamales, charred poblano chimichurri, sautéed southwest vegetables * I never in my wildest dreams would expect to love a non-traditional tamale as much as I did these. I added the cashew creme for the $2 upcharge, and it was absolutely worth it. Unique flavors, ultra savory. Masterpiece on a plate. Truly. SANTA FE SPICED PORK CHOP ancho maple glaze, caramelized peach compote, yukon gold-sweet potato gratin, garlic and chile grilled squash and zucchini * I don't see this one on their menu anymore, so either it was a nightly special a the time, or they've taken it off. Either way, it was another good one. It was a bit overcooked for my husband, but it was still juicy. The ancho maple spice really came through, and the peach compote was a good topper. Hubby didn't eat the au gratin because he doesn't like "stringy" cheese, but the zucchini and squash was amazing. CHEDDAR CHIVE GRITS * Huge bowl alert! But man were these good. Super cheesy flavor. I just had so much leftover. I hate that we don't live in OKC sometimes - these grits would be the perfect next morning breakfast treat! I absolutely loved our entire FRIDA experience. This will be one of my top recommendations for anyone dining in OKC. You couldn't get much more perfect than this.

One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had. The staff were so sincere and kind and gracious, and the ambiance was warm and inspiring of rich conversation. We shared several appetizers and a side dish, each with such incredible layers of flavor. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for date night! I'm so happy we did! It was fabulous! It was very busy (recommend reservations) but we sat at the bar and it did take a little while for service but again they were swamped! We didn't mind waiting. We started with the seafood tamale and oh my word, delicious! The presentation was great. He ordered an old fashioned and said it was good. I ordered "them jeans she's wearing" and it was wonderful! I then tried the "can't stop staring" it was good but a little strong for me. He ordered the wood grilled filet and said it was a little over cooked but it was good. I tried it and thought it was great. It came with whipped potatoes that were amazing. He subbed the broccolini for lobster Mac and it's not traditional Mac and cheese but wow so so good. I got the wood grilled chimichurri skirt steak, fried plantains, Brussels, and scallion cheese grits. It was so incredibly good and so flavorful! I enjoyed it so much! Staff was nice and the place is so inviting. They have the doors that open up to the patio which is pet friendly sky and so nice! Gorgeous weather so it was great. We will certainly be back!

Trendy restaurant that was a let down again. We tried brunch at Frida Southwest. My wife had the bloody marry which she said was very good. I had the salted caramel latte, which was good but small. We ordered the cinnamon roll that looked amazing but was very dry, lacked taste, despite the frosting. I believe it was over cooked because the bottom was rock hard. She had the seafood tamales which she didn't like and I had the shrimp and grits which I felt were not impressive. The amount of flies we were shooshing away from our food was disgusting. I would suggest having drinks and not ordering food. Would not recommend this restaurant. Maybe dinner would be better???

This review is a bit late, shamefully, but I have to say when we were visiting OK... we gave FRIDA a shot. (We actually thought it was a place of the same name we knew in Los Angeles, but it wasn't). Yes, it's a bit pricy for what they offer, however, you are given some of the HIGHEST QUALITY food you'll ever put in your mouth while you are in Oklahoma! I can't wait to return on our next visit!

We absolutely love this place! Do not miss out we sit outside and it was so nice! The waitress Betsy was amazing! The food is full flavor with lots of layers no matter what you get !!

We discovered Frida waaaaay too late imo. We had multiple friends rave about it and finally got a chance to check it out. Even without a reservation with a smaller party you can find seating at the bar. We came with a reservation on a Friday evening and we're sat in the bar at The Daley. The ambiance in the Daley was v. Cool. Low lighting, drinks being made and since it's not as much seating it's not loud and you can have a convo with your date. The seafood tamale was my FAVORITE thing that I tried. Since we discovered Frida we've been multiple times for date nights and even after church Brunch! Highly recommend. I haven't had anything that I didn't like. Fairly pricey and the drinks on average were $15 but despite the $$$ tag, something keeps me coming back.

5 friends and I went to Freida SW to celebrate 2 of our friends' birthdays! The night was perfect. Our service was outstanding our waitress was very nice and extremely funny! The food was amazing. We all had different things to eat, but I had the beef short ribs, and it was so tender I didn't even need my knife. We ordered 2 appetizers and shared them. I had never had buratta before, but I will definitely get that again. It was amazing!

Cool atmosphere in a really cool neighborhood. Food was fantastic, especially the empanadas! Service was impeccable. I left my credit card at the bar and an employee brought my credit card to my hotel. Not kidding. I highly recommend this place next time you are in OKC!

The price was too expensive, the food was okay not too flavorful, the staff were very friendly, and the napkins left a fuzz all over everything. It made the experience feel unsanitary, especially when they brought the chips for the queso in a bowl with the napkin in it. Some fuzz came off with the chips. It got onto my mom's clothes and when I wiped my face with it I got a hair fuzz in my mouth. Gross! The restaurant seems to be aiming for a minimalist style, but could use some southwestern or Mexican style paintings to make it interesting to look around at.
