"Eating a bowl of pasta and drinking wine is one of life’s greatest combinations, up there with sleeping in and Sundays, or Dev Patel and any pair of eyes ever. 10 Chicago Starters That Are The Main Event - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Daisies turns something that belongs at the state fair into a dainty appetizer. The cheese curds, mushrooms, and artichokes at this Logan Square spot are lightly battered, and the tarragon aioli sauce is pleasantly herby. 10 Delicious Things to Eat in Santa Monica | Eater LA

"A straightforward, unfussy Italian spot that relocated into a former neighborhood space while keeping pasta and wine prices steady; it serves pasta from a local fresh-pasta factory, offers a build-your-own pasta option, and leans into rich cream sauces — the jumbo ravioli stuffed with prosciutto, mortadella, and chicken in a garlic cream sauce with caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and pancetta is decadently rich and ideal for sharing." - Eater Staff

Santa Monica Italian Restaurant Fritto Misto Moves Locations | Eater LA

"One of Santa Monica’s longest-running restaurants, this 30-year-old casual Italian spot currently sits on the corner of 6th and Colorado but will relocate less than half a mile to the former Nyesha Arrington restaurant. The move follows city approval to replace its one-story building with an eight-story development that will include an as-yet-unannounced café; demolition has not begun, so the restaurant remains open for now. It’s known for a casual Italian menu, a low corkage fee, tabletops made from wine crates, reasonably priced entrees (roughly $7.50–$27), and a popular Hermosa Beach outpost, and its future site is within a short walk of the Downtown Metro station on a busy stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard and Seventh Street. However, the story also notes the economic pressures facing local restaurants—rising minimum wages and high rent—that could pose challenges moving forward." - Mona Holmes

We went for lunch yesterday. The server was very helpful in making choices. We went with the calamari, garlic shrimp on sqiid ink pasta in a cream sauce, and jumbo scallops in a creamy spinach spaghetti. Let me tell you the flavors were unlike anything I have ever had before, I wish I had words to describe the taste of the said ok pasta. There was something very distinct in the flavor of the squid ink pasta, I could going back to it but couldn't figure out what it was. The scallops were truly amazing and the calamari was fried to perfection, every bite was crispy yet so soft and tender on the inside. They use fresh seafood and not frozen like some other places and you can taste the differences. You can find street parking on the street but you have to pay the meter. The prices are a little high for pasta but for the quality of their dishes, I would say they are spot on. I would not hesitate to eturn in the future.

Just a solid neighborhood Italian spot. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad plate. Great pasta, friendly staff, and huge portions. NEVER sleep on the garlic knots

Carrie

Google
Pasta was super nice. We ordered the garlic shrimp black pasta and calamari! However, the main came before the appetiser which is a bit unexpected. But the overall experience is really nice and staff is attentive as well!

Google
Came here on a Saturday noon and no need to wait, the food is great highly recommend the Garlic Shrimp pasta, delicious, the Fritto Misto is huge portion!! we only order 2 dishes and we are so full

Google
I ordered the Artichoke Shrimp Gnocchi, and it was pretty good. The portion size was a bit small compared to other places where you either get super full or end up taking boxes for leftovers. But still I think it is enough for one person and felt just right if you’re not extremely hungry. The bread they serve is good, feels like homemade and goes very well with butter. The pasta had a nice flavor, and the sauce had a slightly sweet taste to it, which was interesting. The shrimp were okay, pretty standard, nothing more to say. Overall, the dish tasted good, but it didn’t feel particularly special or memorable to me. I feel that the prices are a bit high for amount of food. I would say the food was good but I didn’t really enjoy it. The restaurant was busy when we arrived. We didn’t have a reservation, so we waited about 15 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. There are plenty of tables, and I liked that they’re not packed too close together, it feels pretty comfortable. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. Despite the crowd, the food came out pretty quickly, which was a kind of surprise. The restaurant itself looks great. It has a nice vibe and a beautiful interior.

WOW WOW WOW. I just got back from Italy and was having severe fomo, this is the first place I went. It was our first time here and we were impressed!!! The host was so wonderful, our server Carlos, honestly everyone was a vibe! You can tell why this place has been open for 36 years. The food was beyond delicious as you can see from our empty plate club pic. To top it off, they brought us a complimentary desert, I can’t wait to come back on another date night!

Google
I absolutely adored this restaurant. Me and my friends were visiting from New Jersey and this place made us feel right at home. We came for lunch and all of the food was fantastic. The real highlight of this place was the bartender who was also our server and he was truly so kind and attentive. We all loved our food and this will definitely be a stop when we come back!

Gluten Free Pasta! I have Celiac disease and this is a picture of their gluten free pasta! The best I have ever had! Service was excellent as well! If you’re in the area looking for something celiac safe this is it!

Yelp
My husband and I love this restaurant! The food is fabulous, the people who work there are tip top and very sweet and the owner is incredibly kind! We've been going here for at least 17 years and haven't even had anything to eat that wasn't scrumptious! They also have a great wine list. Lots of thought put into it. They offer premium wines at a terrific discount. Love, love, love going there!!

Yelp
Plenty of street parking, but I believe you still have to pay until 8pm. I met the owner when I was here and he was such a cool person. You can tell he cares about his restaurant and staff and everyone seems to be treated very well. Drinks were great. Food was solid, although it's fairly heavy on garlic and oil, which is great if you like that, but I'm personally sensitive to garlic. This place is good for families, groups of friends, dates, and if you just want to go to a bar.

Yelp
This is a really amazing local spot to hit up after a day at the Getty. They have way more space than the previous location and a little more parking. We were immediately seated and served within the next 15 to 20 minutes during late lunch. We had some delicious garlic shrimp with two colored pasta. Going al dente is to right away! The sauce was very creamy and garlic enough to make your breath smell for the rest of the day. We also had the jumbo ravioli, and it also had its own unique cream sauce. Between the two, I would order the ravioli again we finished it off with a little tiramisu, and the baby size is actually quite large for the two of us. Props to the restaurant on serving us even when they had a power outage.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite spots in Santa Monica. I will always get the Atomic Pasta. It is one of my favorite pasta dishes of all time, it's that good!

Yelp
This place was amazing! Right away we were greeted warmly and the staff was very accommodating for our large group reservation to celebrate a birthday. The service was very fast as well. Everything we ate was delicious, all of the pasta was freshly made, and everything from crab cakes to salmon to chicken Marsala was cooked perfectly. Great for sharing, and generous portion sizes! The desserts were delicious as well. Highly recommend for high quality Italian food in a cozy restaurant with friendly service.

Yelp
TLDR: Tasty Italian food at reasonable prices. You get what you pay for, and the portions here are GENEROUS (compared to other LA spots for this price point). Looking forward to the next visit already! - - - - - - Fritto Misto is a restaurant that's really been on the block for a bit, and I'm ecstatic that a friend shared it with me. To satisfy my Italian cravings, we really came 15 minutes before opening, for some reason expecting a a line on a Sunday morning. There was - thankfully - not. Parking was fairly available on the street at ~ $2 / hr? Being one of the first customers, we were able to sit anywhere, and we chose a section in the covered, outdoor patio. The glass windows separating the street from us made for a comfy lunch spot. Our server started us with waters before giving us bread and olive oil / balsamic vinagrette... ooh! Now, I'm generally not a big fan of the bread, but for this... yes give us another basket! (Thankfully, we got another, and yes it was complimentary.) Outside of bread, we also had their fried pillows, featuring fried ricotta. They tasted good, but this is definitely going to be a one-timer for me. For our orders, we had the Atomic Chicken and Garlic Shrimp. Mine was the Garlic Shrimp, and upon receiving it, I know that my server was proud of this dish. No kidding was he when he said that there were 29 (or some other number) of shrimp! (Yes, I lost count, and it was that good.) The black and white pasta was tasty, and nothing beats a good garlic cream sauce. Another plus? It is on the pricier side, but those portions are generous! I came in expecting to save the rest for another meal, but it was too tempting not to finish. My friend's meal? Thankfully, he didn't succumb to the competition and was able to pack the rest home along with his bread for another meal. Paying was fairly easy, and the entire dining experience was smooth. Halfway through, we also had another server (shift change?) but table to table, our servers were efficient and friendly.

Yelp
I came here once before for my friend's birthday and had been wanting to come back. I'm glad I did last night! Their pasta is fresh and with al dente texture that holds up well in the sauces. I really enjoy their calamari frito and their pasta dishes are consistently great too. This time, I ordered the salmon with squid ink pasta in a garlic, fresh tomato, and basil sauce. The flavors were fantastic, but the salmon itself was extremely salty -- definitely more than double what I'd expect. It felt like a seasoning mistake, because everything else on the plate was well-balanced. They are more of American Italian than authentic Italian. (i.e. cream in Carbonara) That said, if they can be more consistent with the salt levels, and since this place has low corkage fee -- it makes for good casual supper with friends with a favorite bottle of wine. It can easily be a five-star spot for me. They have a great friendly service as well.

Yelp
Upon moving to west LA, I'd heard that this was one of the best Italian restaurants in the city, and my first dining experience here did not disprove that idea. The server was nice and provided menu recommendations, including daily specials. Our group tried three different dishes and enjoyed all of them -- the ravioli, lemon fettuccini, and Italian sausage are all fantastic, and the sauces are all very flavorful. Fritos Misto also serves warm bread to your table before the meal, which is always a win in my book. The five stars here are well-deserved, but I'm hoping word doesn't get out too quickly, as I love the food and want to come back without having to wait in an hour-long line.

Yelp
Create your own pasta for the win!! My friends and I walked to this location but it looked to be street parking. We did not have a reservation but only waited a few mins to be seated. The place was packed so we had our hopes high for good eats. We all wanted pasta and did the create your own. We got a little creative :) everyone had a different meal. One of my friends got vegan pasta and that was cool that they offered it! I did the lemon pepper pasta with a garlic butter sauce and added chicken. It was good! The lemon pepper was not as present/distinguished as the other flavors so that would have been nice to have it stand out more. Overall I think everyone enjoyed their meal and it we would go back for another bite!

Yelp
Back in our UCLA days, my friends and I used to love eating here (the old location). The vibes were great, the food was filling, and it could fit all of us -- we used to roll deep. Fast forward 10 years later, and we needed a spot for our reunion dinner. Jonas the manager was super accommodating and kind -- we were able to make a reservation for 20 of us. The food was as good as I remembered, our server was incredible (and also very patient with us -- we were a little slow to order because everyone was busy catching up). We basically ordered everything - so yummy, and the perfect antidote for all of our discussions about our 10-year-post-grad anxieties. The biggest negative about this place is that I live 400 miles away and it's a bit of a trek to get back!

Yelp
Heard such great things about Fritto Misto from my girlfriends & I got to try it out since I was in the area. Immediately walking into this establishment, it gives a homey vibe. We came in on a Sunday evening at around 4PM and got seated immediately. We got lucky with parking since we found a spot right outside the establishment on the street. However, if you're unlucky it can be a bit challenging to find parking since this is on one of the busy streets in Santa Monica. My friends and I ordered one appetizer and a main meal. What was ordered: - Jumbo Ravioli - Calamari Everything was delicious and flavorful! Fritto Misto is popular for their jumbo ravioli and for good reason. The pasta is packed with flavor and it pair so nicely with the sundried tomatoes + caramelized onions. As delicious as the pasta was, I wish it was less greasy. I felt like the greasiness of the pasta kinda killed it for me -- but still really yummy! Other than that, super yummy. I will definitely be coming back but I will request for them to make my pasta less greasy :-)

Yelp
Always a lovely place to get fantastic fresh pasta!! Wait staff is friendly and visits often, and we love getting warm bread at the beginning of our meal! I love seeing the art and the large museum each time I go, too. This time I got the Sage Cream Chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The carrots and zucchini on top were fresh and paired well with the chicken and tomato fettuccine. Previously I did the build your own, but you definitely can trust Fritto Misto to know what they're doing. Grazie mille

Yelp
1 Garlic Shrimp Pasta - Highly recommend!! It's not marked as a signature dish on the menu, but it was hands-down the favorite at our table. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the creamy sauce was rich and flavorful. It may not look as flashy as the signature pastas, but taste-wise it was the best--also the first dish we finished! 2 Fritto Misto - A solid appetizer and one of their signature items. A mixed fried platter with calamari, shrimp, sweet potato, eggplant, and broccoli. Nicely fried and not too greasy. 3 Atomic Pasta - This one is listed first on the pasta menu and even has a star next to it, but it didn't live up to the hype. It's a wide noodle pasta with a slightly odd-tasting spicy sauce. The grilled chicken on top was a bit dry as well. Would skip this next time. 4 Tiramisu - Had to try the tiramisu at an Italian restaurant! The coffee flavor in the sponge layer was strong and authentic. The cream layer was a bit too rich for those who don't like super sweet desserts, but overall, it was decently balanced. atmosphere: Clean and tidy, with a cozy and comfortable layout. ‍ Service: It was very busy in the evening, and most of the time we were helped by food runners rather than servers. They were doing their best, but you can definitely feel the dinner rush.

Yelp
I honestly don't understand all the positive reviews. I ordered several dishes, including the Pasta Pancetta, and was really disappointed. The pasta was overcooked, and the sauce tasted strange -- more like an overly Americanized version of Italian cuisine, and not in a good way. The Jumbo Ravioli was also a major disappointment. It didn't taste fresh, and the sauce was unappealing. To make things worse, the bacon in the sauce was undercooked, leaving large pieces of fatty meat that were unpleasant to eat. The Lobster Ravioli was the best of the three dishes, but even that was just okay. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. It really goes to show that you can't always trust Yelp reviews.
google avatar

Olivia P.

Yelp
Service was pretty good and the ambiance is very loud. Overall,, this was a good experience. You get what you pay for! Big heaping plates of pasta for a decent price. You just have to make sure you make the right choice. Sun-dried tomato fettuccine pasta: 8/10 Super flavorful pasta and very creamy sauce. I liked how strong the flavors were and how they all tasted together. The pasta was a bit clumpy and the pancetta a bit too fatty. Meat lovers spaghetti with steak tips and bolognese sauce: 5/10 Despite all the great things inside the pasta, this one was extremely bland. The steak was tough and it just didn't have that great of flavor.

Yelp
Fritto Misto is an amazing family-owned restaurant that serves one of the most authentic and comforting Italian dishes. Our table ordered the calamari to share, and it was crispy and perfect to taste. The paired sauce was creamy and light, balancing the fried calamari. We ordered the famous short rib ravioli and creamy pesto linguini. The ravioli was so decadent and bold in flavor; this was one of our favorites. The linguini was a fresh and savory combination that was so silky. I loved how decadent each plate was!

Yelp
The food was very fresh and flavorful. The service was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We ended up being there on the hottest day of the year and they don't have an air conditioner so it was a bit warm, but that's not the norm I'm guessing. This is a cute place to have a casual dinner. I enjoyed it

Yelp
This is my first time visiting this great restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised and we really enjoyed our meal at Fritto Misto! Our waiter was super friendly! We both enjoyed the New Orleans with pasta, shrimp, and chicken. I got mine with the regular white sauce that comes with it and my friend got it with the red sauce and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. In addition, the Caesar salad was excellent and the lettuce was super fresh and crispy. We also ordered a little side order of, anchovies for the salad. The bottom line is I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back. Excellent meal!!

Yelp
From The Bay Area, here for a conference. We came here for dinner, and it was delicious! We were all craving pasta and I think this satisfied our craving! Such a great menu, so many options to choose from! The service was great, super helpful and attentive. (Even gave us a treat because it was our first time!) the plates are huge, definitely shareable. The ambiance is super nice, outdoor (but in a sunroom type way)/indoor seating. Lighting is intimate, but inviting for groups!

Yelp
Solid little pasta spot. GF options. PARKING it's Santa Monica. Find a metered space on the street. No lot. SEATING Casual dining spot. Tables for small and large groups. This cool ~63°F evening, was still pleasant to sit in the "patio" area. It's a glass exterior wall, with better light (not much of an outside view). The chairs are "okay" for comfort. One side of the table is a booth bench. SERVICE Nice. Uneven. We were a little early (5pm Sunday) and there were plenty of tables available, but I think the kitchen was in the weeds. Our server only showed up for our order. We flagged down others for drinks and check. Everyone was nice. Just a little overwhelmed. Our table neighbors has been here before, and remarked the experience for them was different (better) the previous time they visited. They had to wait a while for their check. FOOD Gluten Free pasta! Really good. My wife doesn't have a severe allergy. The server did check to find out her tolerance. PASTA PUTTANESCA (GF) Really nicely cooked pasta (I can't remember if it was corn or rice pasta) SUPER SUPER GARLICS. I was jealous. MUSHROOM RAVIOLI Meh. Few, Thin ravioli with barely any mushroom or mushroom flavor. Sauce is flat and kinda bland. My fault tho - asked for server's opinion. They were unfamiliar with "vegetarian" section of the menu. BREAD (wheat flour) Nice. Fresh baked. (I waited for a few minutes because it was "in the oven") Drinks are good. Great prices for a chill night out. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Food was OK. Service is slow. Ambiance is super noisy ... The place can be a bit cleaner.

Yelp
What the heck?! Came in because of all the great reviews. Left feeling really confused and disappointed. The food is pretty mediocre, at best. This is some of the worst Italian food we've had. Let's start off with the Jumbo Ravioli. The sauce was meh. The ravioli were flavorless. Sun-dried tomatoes had no flavor. The onions were way too big. Overall it was a miss. 2/10 I ordered the build your own pasta. I asked for spinach and cheese Torteloni with Alfredo sauce and shrimp. The Alfredo sauce was terrible. It was thin and watery. Much created a soupy mess. The sauce didn't coat the pasta. It also didn't taste creamy or buttery. It was just gross. The Torteloni pasta was good itself. It's just the sauce that threw the entire dish off. The shrimps were cooked well. 4/10 Pillows were just weird. They were very crunchy, almost hard to chew. Not enjoyable to eat at all. The ricotta inside was good. But the deep fried pasta pillows were a miss. We couldn't eat them. 1/10 Service was good. Waiter was nice. Ambiance was laid back. That is why they got any stars. Food was not great.

Yelp
We were in the area for a skate day and landed at this gem. It says cafe on the outside and seems like it may be small, once you get inside it's bigger than it appears and has a very warm atmosphere and family vibe. We were seated promptly and the server was super attentive and knowledgeable. The owner(son) had a nice chat with us. My boys loved everything that was ordered. We loved it so much we are on our way back just 6 days later. This is an hour and a half drive for us, so that should tell you everything.

Yelp
It's nice to give a place a yelp redemption. When I first moved to Los Angeles , i tried their atomic chicken pasta. Recognizing now that I dislike any pasta dish with chicken -- with the exception of chicken Parmesan, I was open to the idea of giving this place another shake. I ordered the short rib ravioli. Portion was extremely generous, and the dish consisted of a perfect blend of meaty savory almost peppercorn sauce, with ravioli sailing in the sea of sauce . I'm not giving a perfect score because our waiter was rude and had a low-hospitality IQ. He asked us if we preferred outside or inside seating. We answered inside. As we followed him to our seat we realized he was trying foist the outside patio on us directly ignoring our wishes. It's bad etiquette for a waiter. We also asked for oil for our freshly warm complimentary bread. He nodded, but the oil and Parmesan cheese never came. Couldn't help but notice that the waiter hooked-up the neighboring tables with The oil fixings, but not us. What gives ?

Yelp
This place feels like a family owned Italian pasta shop. The food is good and authentic. Ok to bring kids and family members. The server was super nice and accommodating. He really took the time to explain all the dishes. The free sour dough bread can use some work but it is free. This restaurant is located at the corner of an intersection and didn't get that busy when we were there around 7PM. I did not make a reservation for a party of 4 and got seated instantly. . Had no issues finding street metered parking. I recommend cajun seared chicken pasta!

Yelp
Great service, ambiance, and most importantly, great food! You just can't go wrong here. Super friendly staffs and food is amazing. We came on a busy night and had to wait awhile, but worth the wait!!!

Yelp
Highly recommend. Very good food and they give large portions. Our waitress, Brittney was great and the owner of restaurant, Robert, very nice. Matthew made me this great pina colada for my birthday. Matthew great bartender. Great friends/family put the night all together and after went miniature golfing at Holey Moley. We will be coming back.

Yelp
Things Fritto Misto does well at: 1. The food, it's amazing quality and all their sauces taste homemade. 2. Portion sizes, order with the knowledge that it will likely be two meals worth of food. I always end up taking home a to-go box. 3. Allergies, they know their menu well and do a great job of remembering and helping you to order. They also have lots of customizable options including dairy free and gluten free. Things that could be improved: 1. Parking, this is out of their control but they don't have a lot and street parking in Santa Monica is rough. I'd recommend eating earlier (around 5) to secure a spot. 2. More waiters! All of their staff is kind and always on the go but service is still a bit a slow because of the sheer volume of business. Definitely will come again and would recommend! The dining room is set up to maximize space but doesn't feel crowded. They also have an outdoor patio which they heat in the colder months.

Yelp
I would give 6 stars if I could! I can't say enough about how amazing my experience at Fritto Misto was. The service was exceptional as everyone we encountered was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. The ambiance of the restaurant was fun and it was clear everyone was having a good time. The food was amazing, everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavorful. We started with the garden salad which came with a spectacular honey mustard dressing. Then I had the Cajun chicken pasta which rocked my socks. It comes with linguine but I asked for rigatoni and they made the change with no hesitation. Ended the night with their tiramisu which we were told has won multiple awards and I can see exactly why! It was very tasty and a perfect way to finish off our lovely meal at Fritto Misto. We had the privilege of chatting with the owner, Rob, who was assisting us and other customers all over the restaurant. As out of town visitors, we really enjoyed conversing with him and he gave us tons of recommendations on places to check out for the rest of our trip. He is a gem of a person and truly made our restaurant experience a memorable one. Thank you Fritto Misto for such a lovely night. This family owned business is outstanding. I will without a doubt always return to this restaurant every time I return to Santa Monica!

Yelp
Had the garlic shrimp, caprese, and mini tiramisu, all of which tasted really good. The noodles in the garlic shrimp are really al dente and the tiramisu was not too sweet. I prefer a sweeter balsamic vinegar in the caprese salad, but the tomatoes were plenty sweet. These three dishes were enough for two. The bar wasn't too loud and the bartender was very nice. I recommend visiting this restaurant if you're interested in Italian food! Next time I will try the cajun chicken.

Yelp
I have been to Fritto Misto three times. I always get the "build your own pasta," where I choose the noodle, sauce, veggies and protein. The portions are large, the price is reasonable, and the taste is amazing.

Yelp
I lost touch with this place when they moved from another location in Santa Monica. Apparently they made the move in 24 hours and somehow I never knew. Amazing , small , family run business with affordable authentic Italian cuisine. They also have an amazing bar with very affordable, cocktails, and wine. The bartenders are grade a mixologists! A hidden gym in the expensive Santa Monica area.

Yelp
Came here after many years away. Still the same. Terrific all around. Staff is A+. Food is great with generous portions. Owner is on-site and wonderfully attentive.

Yelp
Second time here and it's as good as we remember! Our server Matthew was friendly, attentive and was taking care of every table in the restaurant. He kept checking up on everyone, making sure everyone was happy and helped! Love everything we've tried here so far, food was fresh and full of delicious flavor. They even steamed veggies for our baby to enjoy! We will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Has just been there with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. Great place for pasta or anything really. I enjoyed Jumbo Spaghetti plate- it had a lot of different raviolis, with various insides- great option, thank you to our waiter for the advice. Drinks were good too! Also got to try lemon pie and chocolate cake- loved all of them, couldn't even choose what was my fave one. Great experience!

Yelp
Still thinking about the food here days after. I'm really picky about Italian food and this place has earned itself #1 spot. + Food: Pillows are 10/10: so crunchy, and the fillings are creamy and balances so well with the chipotle sauce. I got the chicken pesto cilantro pasta and this will be my all-time favorite past 100/10. The cilantro pesto was flavorful and very fresh, not too creamy, and the ravioli was delicious with thick fillings. My friend really enjoyed the atomic pasta. It was creamier than the cilantro pesto but still delicious with the variety of ingredients. Portions are pretty big and it's worth the price. + Ambience: it's a big restaurant with simple and nice decors. Good for casual dates and gatherings. The service was great. Waiters are very attentive and friendly. We went at 8 PM on a Saturday and there was no wait. Would I make the 1 hour drive just to eat this again? I honestly might.

Yelp
Our server, Juan Carlos, was very attentive! Try the Jumbo Ravioli. The Shrimp Gnocci was tasty, too. The server brought us a cream-topped deliciously dense chocolate cake near the meal's end. Excellent! The Tiramisu was delish, too. Happily, the bread basket at the beginning was very aromatic with crispy crust and soft insides. We'll be back!

Yelp
We went in November 2023 for an amazing sharing experience with friends and got to try all dishes The service was good but I can't really remember hence good. Otherwise I would remember if something wrong happened Food Bag black linguini had nice sauce. The pasta here all had amazing buttery sauce. 5/5 Jumbo ravioli also has nice buttery, plate-licking sauce 5/5 Pasta Pancetta was okay because I didn't recognize the flavor too well. 4/5 Pillow potatos were not good. They were chewy for a supposedly-crispy food and filled with oil. 1/5 Overall I would only come back if someone else wants to try. I would not pick it myself

Yelp
Hands down, some of the best Italian cuisine anywhere. The Caesar salad is the real deal, with a genuine anchovy dressing. The veggie lasagna in pink sauce was made with real pasta and luscious whole veggies. The chicken piccata was amazing and the gnocchi, were the best this side of Rome. Great food, great service great spot.

Yelp
Fritto Misto is a solid Italian restaurant to go to if you are in the LA area. They are well known for their delicious calamari dish which has some of the most tender calamari I have ever had. I highly recommend trying their bolognese sauce with any of their delicious home made pastas as it tastes extremely fresh and delicious. I personally enjoy their marinara sauce over their cream sauces as the cream sauce dish for me is a little too one dimensional and lacks the flavor depth I was looking for. The seating was extremely spacious and the service was very attentive and caring! I would definitely come back here for any red sauce options!

Yelp
The pasta here is not for the faint of heart! Short rib ravioli with caramelized onions and doused in chipotle chili cream sauce was RICH. Spicy sauce or food (medium to mod level) doesn't phase me so this just had a nice kick. Also was convinced to indulge in a homemade lemon bar. No doubt I was in a food coma after this meal. May I add that the red haired server (Matt?!) is amazing and energetic!! Give that man a fat raise.

Yelp
***** five stars Service -couldn't have asked for more Food- chef knows what they are doing Ambiance- great bar, restaurant is open also has a closed in patio with heaters great for private parties. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful, friendly attentive. I wish I took pictures of the food we ordered it was delectable. One of dishes we ordered was carbonara with linguine. The other dish was Caesar salad with steak tips (missing in photo) the steak was done to perfection, seasoning was delicious. The only very minor complaint is serving hard rock butter for the delicious bread. Of course it didn't stop us from eating it. We will be back (Photos are copies from other reviews)

Yelp
Parking: You can find free street parking along 7th St Experience: I made a reservation for 6 people for a Sunday lunch, but the restaurant was pretty empty so don't worry about that. There was free bread and our waiter (Matthew I believe) was super friendly. I got the pillows with pink sauce, which was definitely a smaller amount of pasta than other pastas they offer. They offer a vegan gluten free pasta if you need that. Our waiter brought out free dessert of a lemon bar and chocolate cake, which were both delicious. Overall, great service and great for groups!

Yelp
We celebrated my daughter UCLA graduation and the food did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed the tasty authentic food. We were a party of 16 including a baby and toddler is the service was so accommodating. The service was so attentive and friendly that my daughter also received cake and special treat. The restaurant was so comfortable and we felt we were in the perfect setting with great windows to see the setting sun.

Yelp
So we came here for Mother's Day around 6pm. I believe they don't do reservations unless you have 6 or more in your party. There were tons of people waiting outside. But total wait time was 40 minutes for a party of 3. As you're seated, they have menu's that you scan the QR code on your phone or you can have a standard menu. We were seated "outdoor" but it's covered and heated. So it was really nice. They start you off with complimentary bread and butter! Yum! I love me some free stuff! Anyway, we ordered a Cesar salad to start which was good but nothing special. The lettuce wasn't crispy at all. I wouldn't get it again. I ordered the chicken Marsala which is a huge portion with great flavor. Chicken was tender and juicy. My husband loved his order as well. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good pasta in Santa Monica. Meter street parking available nearby.
