The 11 Best Sports Bars In Miami

"This German Bierhaus in Coral Gables isn’t your typical sticky-floored sports bar. But it’s the best place to watch a big game (especially one where they use their feet a lot). The dining room looks like a beer hall with long wooden mess tables, pressback chairs, and servers carrying steins of beer back and forth. There's a movie theater-size screen on one end of the room that’s always playing the day’s biggest game, and more TVs than a Best Buy entertainment section scattered around the giant room. It’s also one of the very few German restaurants in Miami, so it’s worth coming here to eat pretzels the size of pizza boxes, wiener schnitzels, and apple strudels even if there’s not an important game happening." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

Fritz & Franz Bierhaus Review - Coral Gables - Miami - The Infatuation

"At Fritz & Franz, strangers become friends through roaring cheers and collective sighs of relief at missed goals. This German spot has been a Gables fixture for over a quarter of a century, and it’s always the right answer for where to watch a big game. There's a movie theater-size screen on one end of the room that’s always playing the day’s biggest game, and more TVs than a Best Buy entertainment section scattered around the giant restaurant. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere as soon as you walk in. This place is known for having some of the best drinks around—whether you’re into craft cocktails, refreshing mocktails, or a great selection of beers and wines, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The food is fantastic, with a diverse menu that offers everything from hearty appetizers to satisfying entrees. Even though we were part of a large group, the service was impressively fast and organized, and our meals came out hot and exactly as ordered. The outdoor seating area is spacious and inviting, though it can get quite warm and humid, especially for families with kids—and when it rains, it can be a bit tricky to manage. So it’s a good idea to be prepared for sudden weather changes. (Which does not have anything with all the stars for this place 😁 it’s just Miami!!) Overall, this place combines great service, delicious food and drinks, and a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for gatherings or just relaxing with friends

Google
This is a sports bar specialising as a Bavarian Tavern and offering German beer and food. The beer was good. However, the Chicken Schnitzel had a very thin slice of chicken in which was disappointing. The atmosphere was dominated by TV sport. There are plenty of screens to watch.

Typically we travel and go to all american pups and or restaurants. We decided to change it up a bit. We found this great German style pup. Fabulous atmosphere. Excellent service. Great tasting food. Would recommend adding more to the menu from Germany. Otherwise 5 stars. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to reminisce about Germany.

Google
Wife and I just happened to stumble upon this place randomly one afternoon. Great German beer selection. I had the sausage sampler which came with sauerkraut that I thought I would hate. It was a sweeter type of sauerkraut that I absolutely loved! Definitely could get loud during a big sporting event I bet but was great in the afternoon. Will go again when in the area.

Google
This must be the poorest range of deutsche Bier ever encountered, bog standard would be a flattering description...supermarket quality more accurate. A bottle of Gaffel Kölsch stopped me walking out. The waitress was wonderful, accepted the criticism of the menu was not down to her. Austrian owned, I was told, they can do better. Maybe Augustiner, Andechs, Pyraser, Schlenkerla, Spezial, Reissdorf, Früh, would enhance the range.

Google
Nice ,spacious and quite traditional German decorated place with lots of German beer and food. The service is outstanding and the food ok. Great place to watch soccer. Not cheap.

Google
Nice place to enjoy some Austrian/ German food. Think Schnitzel and Sacher cake. Large selection of European beers on the menu. Gigantic TV screen . Popular during soccer games. Friendly server. Prices are a little high for the small portions . Restaurant got their lease extended by the city for 5 more yrs

Google
Really good authentic German cuisine with German tap beer. We had Jägerschnitzel mit spätzel, chicken snitzel, and currywurst and everything was really good.

Yelp
Great place for good German food and drinks and watch sports Unfortunately they do not offer any vegan options unlike every place in Switzerland or Germany now, but the pretzels are delicious and if Im looking for a good salad the variety of salads, beers and fair prices along with the atmosphere is never disappointing.

Yelp
I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I hate the parking situation (you have to pay for street parking or garage) but love the food. I hate that events can cause water to cost $$ (or there's a cover charge) but I love the feel/look of the place. Overall though it's a great place with good food. This time around they were doing a st pattys event so they were charging $4 for water in lieu of a cover charge. I had a beer (mixed dark and light upon recommendation since I prefer amber beers) and it was great. The table also had the sausage sampler which was a great starter to share with. But the winner of all is the chicken snitzel. Breaded chicken with German potato salad drenched in lemon and dipped in jam is just chefs kiss. The food really sells it for this place. It's worth getting rained on when sitting outside and worth the charge for parking and water.

Yelp
This spot holds a special place because of how much it reminds me of my time in Germany. The service here is wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. Very helpful if you can't decide. They know their drinks so ask what you'd like. They are willing to help. I love the wide selection of drinks. If you love beer then this is the place for you. I also love the big glasses and the setup of the tables. It is very much Bierhaus energy. Long tables all along outside where several people can sit and have a drink. Also an indoor area with tables as well. It can get packed inside real quick so make sure to come early and hold it down! I definitely can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Never had such a shocking and unpleasant experience as we did tonight. We just left this place. Been coming here for many years as we live in the neighborhood. We ordered the special Oktoberfest dish - two bratwurst with sauerkraut and potato salad. I ordered mine well done. We ordered some beers, and when the food arrived I asked the waitress to please have the kitchen cook mine longer. As I waited my wife noticed her sausages were pink inside. So I asked the waitress to please cook it longer as well. The owner emerged from the kitchen 3 minutes later, with the plate in his hand and sat at the end of our table for what we thought was going to be a cordial exchange. However to our shock, he stated that it was he who had made the sausages and angrily exclaimed that if we don't like them we need to eat something else! Before anyone could respond he jumped up from the table and marched back into the kitchen. We told the kind waitress who was completely mortified that we wanted the sausages and she said we couldn't have them and he had already thrown them out. It was like a Seinfeld episode. (Remember the soup Nazi!?) We didn't order anything else out of fear for what special sauce we might get. We ate our sides and paid the check. On the way out I passed by the open kitchen and told him that he didn't have to be so rude. He proceeded to tell me to go f*** myself and get the f*** out of his restaurant. This guy is unhinged. Go here if you enjoy being treated like a prisoner in the mess hall. Sausages made of pork should be cooked thoroughly. It doesn't matter that you eat them raw in Germany. We are not in Germany. I feel so bad for the waitress, who was very embarrassed and very apologetic. Maybe this is why the tip is included in the bills because they know the cook (owner) is going to come around and verbally assault customers when they have a complaint. I will never be coming back to this place. If you need to watch games, you can watch them at the newer sports bar one block from there on Giralda. This guy obviously does not understand how we work here in the states, he must be used to something different Back in Germany. I've been in many cities in Germany, and everybody is quite nice. This man is just very nasty and bitter. All I requested was to have my Bratwurst cooked well done.

Yelp
great place! we came here to eat one late Tuesday after an open house. We were given a table fast and the staff was very nice and attentive. The inside looks very unique compared to other restaurants; loved the vibe. For appetizers, we got the pretzel bread; it was so good! And then we also got the sausage samplers, so you got to try every flavor. For the main course we got the grilled chicken and the Schnitzel Special. Everything tasted amazing and fresh! You've got to try this place! Would totally recommend if you want to try something new and delicious!

Yelp
A Miami staple. My family loves coming here on Tuesdays for their schnitzel special - it's SO good! Great beer selection too.

Yelp
Food was too pricey for what you receive. During games it's chaotic and they jam people in like sardines.

Yelp
I visited this venue to watch the Champions League final this past Saturday. What an amazing experience. The delicious food is just as incredible as the service - I highly recommend you try the fish fry and at least a couple of their wonderful beer choices. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and incredibly hospitable ambiance. Sebastian

Yelp
Genuine German food, beer and ambience. Plenty of space. Love the Wiener schnitzel and bratwurst. The owner, Harald, is a great guy. Germany and Austria are great nations

Yelp
I've never had beer out of a giant boot before but it was definitely a fun experience. Fun place to watch a soccer game and enjoy a cold beer. They have large tables so it's a great place to go with a big group of friends.

Yelp
Bratwurst, schnitzel, German beers, and soccer. This place is about as authentic as you can get in South Florida in terms of a casual indoor German biergarten. The list of German beers is impressive and there are plenty of options for German food, though the prices are a bit more than you might expect for this type of menu (and be forewarned that they will add a gratuity automatically). Though it was a Sunday afternoon with multiple NFL games underway, the only thing showing on the multiple large TVs was soccer (simply an observation, not a complaint). The restaurant is apparently losing its opportunity to renew its lease and there are signs as well as a campaign to get customers to sign a petition. Though it would be sad to see an upbeat informal place like this get bumped out for yet another upscale venue, the building owner certainly has the right to make such decisions. Anyhow, if you want to get a true taste of German cuisine, culture, and beer, be sure and visit before May.

Yelp
Music was great live band food really not that good prices were ok. Don't think I go back

Yelp
I've been coming to Fritz and Franz for a good portion of my adult years so it pains me to write this review. This has always been my go-to place for anything and everything German related. We regularly go during Oktoberfest for their festivities and sometimes just to pop in and have a beer or two. We also tend to gravitate to their Sausage Sampler or Schnitzel, which has typically been better than average. The most recent time was on a Saturday around lunchtime. First off, our server had a tough time communicating in English. We ended up having to physically point to the items that we wanted on the menu, as it seemed she was unfamiliar with the names of the dishes and beers. We decided to take advantage of some of their specials because they were showing a college football game. We decided on a few German beers, Giant Pretzel, Bierhaus Sliders, and a BBQ Burger, as recommended by a fellow patron who was a regular. While the server was bringing beer to our table, she spilled some of the beer on my cell phone, saw it (because I picked up the phone to try and get the beer off of it), but never even offered napkins or acknowledged it. The pretzel was yummy, as it always has been. The sliders had good flavor but they were just ok. The BBQ Burger was the biggest waste of $19 because it was literally a Costco frozen hamburger patty that was cooked and served. We also ordered a side of plain french fries for the table, which was $9! We had to constantly stop staff to ask for more napkins, refills of drinks, for the check, for anything and everything we may have needed. When the check finally came, we realized we had been overcharged for some of the specials and brought it to our server's attention. She then went to another employee, who ended up consulting with a patron about it. It was very bizarre; consulting with another patron about the specials, instead of management. The employee came back to the table with the amended bill. We promptly paid and left. It was an awkward experience from beginning to end. I can say it's going to take me a lot to come back to Fritz and Franz.

Yelp
F&F Bierhaus is certainly something out of the ordinary. I truly enjoy the food and especially their import beer selections. We were greeted by (Jasmine) who was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They were out of their wheat beers but there are many other fine choices. All of us enjoyed their giant pretzel as an appetizer. Our food arrived quickly, nicely plated, and was delicious. We finished off our meal by sharing an apple strudel with ice cream, which was also very good. The restaurant was rather empty. All in all, it was a great dinner with friends and we'll be back. The only thing that I did not like is the automatic 18% gratuity. A gratuity used to be discretionary not an entitlement, minus 1 star.

Yelp
I'm giving Fritz and Franz 4 stars for a solid place to watch a soccer game. Some friends and I came recently to watch the World Cup Finals and to be honest, I was nervous it was going to be a hot mess. We got a table, which included the entrance fee, beers, and shots of schnapps for 10 people. To have a place to sit during a crazy soccer match is priceless to me, but this was reasonable to me. For being so busy, I felt service was pretty solid. The food did take a bit to come out, but honestly we weren't there for the food. Fritz and Franz has been in the Gables forever, and I definitely think it is well known as a place to post up and watch a major sporting event. If you're in the mood to be surrounded by folks who are hype for a game, this is your spot. If you don't pre-pay for a table, you will be in the standing room area. This seems a bit hectic to me, but definitely fun if you're into that kind of thing.

Yelp
Came here to watch a World Cup game with some friends and although nothing terrible happened on our visit I don't see myself ever watching another game here. We had heard that for the tables you needed to get a reservation so we called everyday for a week leading up to the match yet no one ever answered the phone so I guess you have to reserve in person. Because we couldn't get a table we knew it was standing room for us which meant we got there 2 hours before start time to secure a high top and some shade. When we got there they explained they charge a $10 cover which I found a little ridiculous. We were there early enough that we ordered breakfast (which stops at 10am) and at $15 I can't complain since it came with 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, a little salad and a sausage loaf (admittedly not my thing but others liked it). Once it got close to game time it started to really get packed. The owner or manager also started moving a bunch of the high tops which obstructed our view of the screen which sucks because we got there so early to avoid that. When the game finally started my heart dropped....they streamed the game on FOX! I'm a die hard believer that soccer games are watched in Spanish. It was literally the most boring game I've ever watched live. So many dead silences and no hype when a goal is scored. I want to hear that gooooaaallll. For the drinks the beer was fine but it would have been nice if they offered seltzers as well (at least for these events). But what really got me is they charge $4 for water. Despite the amount of people are server was super attentive and came around throughout the game. Well I can say that I finally saw a game at fritz and franz at least but maybe it's better to go on a normal day and just have some beers and curry wurst.

Yelp
I've lived in Coral Gables my whole life and this has always been a staple. After 31 years, however, I'd never been! We decided to try something different on a Friday night and we decided on German food. I'm sad to report that it was only just OK. The night was fabulous so we sat outside where there is plenty of seating. It was great because there was plenty of room for my little one to run around safely and not get bored while we ate. We started with some German beers which was pretty cool. Our waitress was great with beer recommendations and knew exactly what we'd like. My 4 year old was starving so we ordered him a plain cheeseburger...a $19 plain cheeseburger! Rough. We also started with a sausage sampler plate that I was disappointed to see brought only 3 measly average tasting sausages on a giant bed of sauerkraut and some side potatoes. BAM...$22 for 3 sausages that tasted like kielbasa at my uncles bbq. My bf was loading up on heavy dark beers and decided to stop eating before he blew up but I was ready to try some German food so I ordered the Kasespatzle. It was actually really delicious! Like a very thick and creamy macaroni with fried onions. It was a nice change of pace for a night and I might try this place again for the music and fun during Oktoberfest with a large group but won't be going again otherwise.

Yelp
Nasty, nasty owner..., totally rude.... Been there for many years and put up with his abuse but tonight took the cake...by trying to sit at a table he screamed at my friend (she was totally shocked) and we walked out! Got treated very well at Berries in the Grove ... our new place!!!

Yelp
Ambiance: 5 stars We attended Fritz & Franz Bierhaus for a World Cup match recently and it was Awesome!!! What a cool experience. We arrived and the atmosphere was high energy with a great crowd packed outside for the large viewing party. The big screen that they put together was incredible. The outdoor grill selling fresh bratwurst and hot pretzels along with ice cold beer made it feel as if I was actually at the live match. Service: 4 stars With the establishment being very busy, the host team and wait staff did a great job quickly and efficiently taking care of orders. I did not have to wait long for drinks or food. Food: 3.5 stars The food was tasty and slightly above average. If you're looking for a Dutch influenced restaurant and beer house this a great spot to come for good eats, good drinks, and a great time especially for sporting events!

Yelp
It's a cool place with a good vibe to watch sports. A lot of European beers. The service was nice and fast. We stopped for beers only. The server was very knowledgeable. We didn't try the food but from a distance what are neighbors were having looked good..

Yelp
Great place to come to watch sporting events. However, the service sucks sometimes because of how crowded it can get. I ordered a beer about 3x and didn't get it until an hour later because my server kept forgetting. It was also a mission to get water refills.

Cinton R.

Yelp
The owner believes he is a Hitler's general. We were kicked out of the place because two of us, while waiting for the rest of the group, prior to the Germany vs Spain soccer game, occupied a table large enough for 8-10 people, were told that we couldn't be accommodated on that table until all the group was there. By the way, we were wearing Spain's jerseys. A few minutes later, a couple wearing Germany's jerseys, were sat down at the same table. I asked why we were told to leave until the group was complete and they accommodated two people (wearing Gernay's jerseys). The owner, very rudely and raising his voice to me told me that he was the boss and that at his place he does whatever he wants. I told him not to raise his voice to me. He kept yelling at me and told me that I had to shut up while he was talking. I replied to him that he was no one to tell me to shut up and also that he was disrespecting me by telling me that and by yelling at me. At tha moment he insulted me calling me a...hole. I told him to apologize for insulting me. He called me the same insult for a second time and I called him exactly the same. Then he told me (us) "get out of my place now, we have enough Germans coming here today, we don't need Spanish people here". Not to make things worst, we decided to leave. We left a beer and a lemonade we had ordered on a table and we left. The waitress came after us with the check and we told her that the owner had kicked us out of the place and had insulted me twice by calling me a...hole. She agreed with me that the owner has no manners and left us alone. Spanish people, make the owner of that place happy. Don't go there. He says that he has enough German people going there and therefore he doesn't need Spanish people.

Yelp
If you catch me smiling, it's because I was imagine the yummiest potato salad from Fritz & Franz I'm not a big fan of sports bars but this one has stolen my heart maybe because has a pleasant atmosphere, it is not noisy, not collapsed and the best thing , has the perfect match : great food and beers. Cheers. This time Victoria was our server and I can tell you: she's a sweet heart and super attentive. Excellent !! We appreciate that! If you're in the area of Coral Gables) go visit. You will be delighted We ordered: Chicken Schnitzel/ Nurnberger Rostbratwurstl/pretzel /fish-potato salad - Delicious!! Hope we can come back to watch Chile x Bolivia

Sven F.

Yelp
The service is terrible! I guess that's what you get when you include 18% tip upfront to your bill. I ordered a Schnitzel and everything was an up charge. Food was ok, but even tho the schnitzel looks massive, it was just breading around. What you see was $58 lunch. Not again!!

Yelp
Harald Neuweg, the chef, and the son of Harald (who were all intoxicated) started cursing at guests while eating. Disgusting behavior

Yelp
I won't be coming back to this establishment after the unfriendly service from the owner. I asked our waitress for water for the table (group of 6) and she informed that it'll be $3 per bottle of water. I respectfully declined and went to get water elsewhere after we put our orders in for food and drinks. With respect to food and drinks, the beer was fine, however the pretzel served to us was as hard as a hockey puck. As for the water I went to get elsewhere, it was at the friendly and inviting establishment next door, Grazianos. I brought them back to our table and continued having beers as we powered through having the rest of our hard pretzel. Shortly after, the owner came to our table to tell us no outside food or drinks are allowed. He grabbed a menu and pointed to this rule. I expressed my displeasure in not only being charged for water but also the price they're charging at $3 a bottle (12oz). The owner seemed to take disrespect to this rather than constructive criticism and snapped at our party stating that if we do not like his rules here, then we can leave. He added that at Fritz and Frans he is "king" before saying something to us in his native Austrian tongue, more than likely knowing our party does not understand German. The owner and I were both trading petty insults with each other for some time. Our party left as we would have a better time elsewhere. He made a big deal about something small, when in the first place, our table should not be getting charged for water; especially when we're ordering plenty of beers. From the times I have been to Fritz and Frans before, I have not had any complaints. I've actually complimented the owner of how good he makes his meatloaf. The owner's cooking is good, but his service is unwelcoming. With plenty of empty tables here, it is clear why people decide not to come unless they are watching a World Cup match. I'll find another place for good meatloaf and soft pretzels.
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
I was looking forward to seeing the World Cup at this restaurant but was very disappointed. First of all there was a $10.00 cover charge per person. I said ok, let's see what we get for that. Well it was standing room only to watch the big screen, while all the tables were reserved but empty. I sat at a table away from where the main spectators were and watched the game on a small TV screen. What was the purpose of the cover charge when customers are then treated so badly. It's not cheap either. I spent $115.00 for two. Oh and you couldn't go inside the restaurant either, they stopped me. I had to stay outside what a joke! Restaurants that take advantage lose me forever and I won't be back!!

Yelp
Good spot for traditional beer house fair. Beer menu includes a lot of great imports, and the food hits all the highlights. Atmosphere ranges from chill to rowdy.

Yelp
I live right by this restaurant so I like to walk over and get some beer and food when I'm craving German food but they do have a lot of variety. I think the food here is great especially since there aren't a lot of German options around here. I always get the Stiegel Rattler with Jagerschnitzel mit spatzle and it always hits the spot and never disappoints. The ambiance is very casual, I almost always exclusively sit outdoors which is nice because you can bring your dog to accompany you. They'll often have events or games playing on the TV too. The staff are all friendly, I know there are a lot of reviews here about the rude manager or poor service but I personally have never experienced it before. My only complaint is the service can be slow at times and you really have to flag someone down but overall is a good experience for me and my friends.

Stefan I.

Yelp
They charge $ 10 cover for World Cup games which is ridiculous , just so that we can buy their overpriced beer and mediocre food. We were 20 guys and spent the money elsewhere, just as we will for the rest of the games.... Word is out !

Yelp
Great stuff! The place was basically empty, so the seating and service was quick and easy. Super relaxed dinner, awesome food with great portion sizes. The menu is on a QR code and the seating is very spaced out, plus they have ample outside seating with a giant TV in case there's a game or event. Make sure you ask for dessert! It's not on the menu but they def have it and it's a great topper for the meal!! Parking is limited on the street (bc it's coral gables) but the parking garage behind is a short walk - just expect to pay $1 per 30mins you're there. If you're going for an event, or planning to stay awhile, that could add up!

Yelp
We arrived Friday for Lunch and were seated quickly after that we did not see anyone for 15 minutes , it was not busy 2 tables inside and 3 outside that had customers. after we ordered the wait was not too long . We got our food before the appetizer ( pretzel). Taste was good and no complaints there. We ordered Apple Strudel to go. my coworker and my self both ordered a few to go , his came in a pizza box and they were a fair size. Mine came in smaller boxes and were half size but I paid full price. it was like a joke . unfortunately I did not open the boxes till I got home. Also to our Surprise 18% tip is automatic on every order. We came here for the apple strudel since our previous experience was great. I do not think I can go back.

Yelp
Fritz & Franz is a Coral Gables staple I don't make it to nearly as much as I'd like. I'm a German passport holder and few things in life make me as happy as a liter of beer and plate of sausages. I always come at least once during Oktoberfest when they throw a really fun party, but also find it great for sports matches and casual meetups. There's plenty of seating to be had both inside and out. I prefer the patio atmosphere which is great for groups, dogs, and babies! On our last visit, I stopped by for lunch with my husband and we shared the sausage sampler with German potato salad and red cabbage, along with an apfelstrudel for dessert. The sausages could've been cooked better, but all the sides were great. I'm obsessed with German potato salad which is vinegar based... You gotta try if you haven't! The sampler was enough for one hungry person (hence the dessert), so next time, we'd definitely opt for two entrees. All in all, I'm truly a fan! There aren't too many spots to get German food around these parts, so Fritz & Franz fits the bill. Most importantly, the beer is cold and aplenty!

Yelp
Server refused to give me vinegar because "Her boss was in a bad mood." The boss then came out screaming at us. I don't think this is a safe environment where the servers are to scared of the boss to ask for condiments. They also never brought my friends food. They tried to make up with it with "free shots" i don't drink when i gestured to the server that i dont with my two fingers wagging no to not embarrass her but she kept insisting i imbide i had to raise my voice to a firm "No I Don't drink" kept handing me liqour

Yelp
I came with the family. We waited 20 minutes for the waiter. He served the people next to us but never looked at us. He came by their table several times and didn't even give us a menu. I've been coming to this place for more than 15 years. No more. Very rude. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the good service I got in the past.

Yelp
Warning, warning! Avoid this place at all costs. This place is run-down and managed by incredibly disrespectful staff. My family and friends walked in with high hopes of having a decent time, but our experience quickly turned sour. Within just 5 minutes of sitting down and ordering, an angry old man, who we later found out was the manager, came out and began arguing with us in front of our little kids - all because of a box of pizza that was on the table. The manager's behavior was completely unacceptable and ruined our entire experience. It's worth noting that this is not the first time this has happened at the restaurant, and we've seen other reviews on Google mentioning the same manager. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. We recommend Clutch-burger, just one block away. They have a better beer selection and much friendlier staff.

Yelp
Mmmhmm so delicious, I got the sausage sampler which comes with 3 different sausages and opted for the potato salad. Pro tip ask for the curry sauce, it's an up charge but worth it! They are also Manchester United's home base for any fútbol fanatics. Have come here when the soccer games are on and it's a great time!! Plenty outdoor seating and such a cute place inside.

Yelp
We have not been here in over 6+ years and after tonight we were wondering why. The atmosphere is fun and the food was great. We started with the Pretzel With Liptauer, and it was big and had german mustard and a cottage cheese dip. Fun. Then we ordered the chicken and the pork schnitzel which was excellent. The mashed potatoes had the good lumps and the side of spatzle were perfect. Excellent service and great beers. Highly recommend and we will be back and back and back !!!

Yelp
It can get Fritzing up in Buffalo, so I came down to Miami for some warm weather, and made a few Franz along the way. The food here is decent, not great, and expensive. The alcohol selection is good, and has plenty of European stuff on offer (i.e. the best) but it also isn't cheap. What gives this place the extra star is the excellent service... genuinely friendly and welcoming from several different employees. Good show.

Yelp
Enjoyed watching a Copa America match outdoors on the large projection screen in the patio area. Food was great: highly recommend the fish dip, which includes a generous portion of smoked mahi mahi, served with warm pita bread and veggies. Try it with the pickled jalapeños: you wouldn't think the combo would go together but it's great! The wurst teller (sausage sampler platter) comes with three different types of sausages on bed of kraut. Be sure to ask for extra mustard. The biggest let down were the drinks: though I ordered alcoholic beverages, they still wanted to charge $3 for water. How is this legal? I guess anything goes in FL.

Yelp
Food and service good. Traditional German pub setting. Have enjoyed for years. Easy to find in the heart of coral gables.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in for lunch and it was great! I had the goulash with spaetzle and he had bratwurst with sauerkraut and potato salad , which were both excellent. Definitely will return soon! Loved the potato salad!

Yelp
Great place to watch a soccer game, hang out with friends, or enjoy dinner with family. The ambiance, decor and cuisine is true German all the way. But there's enough variety in the menu for every taste. If you like celebrating Oktober Fest, this is the place to be. I love every dish, but a generally lean towards the Wurst Teller and an ice cold Dunkel. Try the pretzels with a pint of beer to get a great start... and finish with the Apple Strudel.

Yelp
Spent Memorial Day in Coral Gables and had to go to my favorite German place. Good fresh big pretzel. Very good beer. And pork Shank. Bit burger fraught and Spaten bottle. Yum. Excellent soccer place.

Yelp
The Mon/tues schnitzel deal isn't anything to run back to. $35 bucks and we were left unsatisfactory (and my reviews showed that we are pretty low maintenance with food.) the prices are todays prices. (Thank you US government for the inflation because no one in government truly cares... to keep a budget.) Anyhow prices are reasonable but the food/ambiance didn't change, in fact I feel the portions are streamlined. . As a customer I must adapt to change. Owners of businesses need to also adapt and up the experiences. Seriously how much is it really to give a bigger portion of spaetzle or potato salad? Plus you're a German restaurant, where's the experience of music, german bread and butter - you can still be a sports bar. 1/2 liter beer is between $7-9 and 1liter is between $16-19. It's fun but a couple spots next to this beer hall has the same price/ratio in pints. Again nothing to write home to. This review is unfortunate because fritz and Franz was our go to spot before covid. Now like many restaurants after covid, as a patron I'm ask to adapt to higher prices but I'm not adapting to mediocre experiences. Female server was a 4 star. Is this place good enough. Yes. That's why I'm giving 3 stars but the competition around this place has a few 4-5 star experiences I'd recommend before this business unfortunately. Sorry for the review. Namaste.

Yelp
I used to live nr Munich in Bavaria, Germany for 11 years, so I miss German fayre. This place is super cute, and definitely has a German feel to it. There is a nice seating area outside for social distancing and they had a HUGE tv screen up, as well as a sweet Christmas tree!
