"Chef Adam Handling showcases a menu of punchy British dishes permeated with distinct Asian accents at The Frog Hoxton. A zero-waste focus is key to the ethos here, and the menu offers plentiful vegan and vegetarian plates. The lively open kitchen and graffiti-muraled walls slot in perfectly with the vibrancy of its Shoreditch postcode." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

"This new Shoreditch spot is the third in The Frog family. The second, and most grownup branch, is still going strong in Covent Garden, but the first, on Ely Yard, just off Brick Lane, is now metamorphosed into this new, slightly more refined Frog. It’s got a massive frontage on Hoxton Square, a large open kitchen, a separate whisky bar downstairs (and café round the corner), and a menu filled with the same wild and wonderful flavour combinations, and fresh takes on fine dining that we loved at the first spot. We still can’t completely get on with the graffiti on the walls, but it’s casual, fun, and - most importantly - the mac and cheese is still the best we’ve ever had." - Eileen Twum

Very attentive staffs and the food was amazing. All flavours work and food was cooked to perfection. Love my cocktail, Raspberry Punch. Their tasting menu was such great value to try all their delicious dishes.

Amazing place. My friend brought me here as a birthday gift. We took the tasting menu and it was my first time to have such an experience. Food was exquisite. Trying all the food they serve and the experience was amazing. The staff were very professional as they took us through the menu and the food and explained it clearly. The atmosphere is great. I loved the plaice, crab, potato, schnitzel and the steak dishes. The chocolate tofu, cherry pistachio dish was amazing as well and it’s worth trying. The food is worth every penny. I definitely recommend it for someone that likes to try a-lot of dishes at once! ❤️

I’m not sure what to say about my visit here. Service was excellent, it’s interestingly stylish, staff were very friendly. The food was very good- it’s obviously designed with thought and put together with care and talent- and it’s very tasty for it. HOWEVER, the portions are TINY. I know it’s a tasting menu but none of them were that much more than that- a taste, a couple of mouthfuls max. I often have a tasting menu and you come out of it full- this time I could have eaten the same amount again. I got chips on the way home. One of the courses was bread and (very tasty chicken) butter. That’s not a course. The Frog has got the potential to be a GREAT restaurant- instead it’s just a good restaurant. It won’t be a great restaurant until they sort out their portions.

We tried this in the first week of opening. The space and decor are very nice and the big open kitchen gives the room a good feel. When the restaurant got busy, it became quite noisy, which didn’t bother us too much, but can be too much if you want a quiet evening. The food was very good with a few unexpected dishes. We had picked the taste menu with paired wine. One of the people serving the wine was speaking very fast. It was very difficult to understand what he was explaining which took away from the experience.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly. We had the 4 course set menu and it was delicious, everything was really well done. The lamb was especially good. There were some interesting flavour mixes which were new to me but have to say, all the flavours complimented each other well.

Very much enjoyed our tasting menu experience here. It was a pretty leisurely service, which suits me because I don't really mind a long lingering dinner, although one of my dining companions started to get a bit freaked out when we were getting dessert around 10:45pm. Nonetheless I would certainly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Must have been missing something. Had the five course tasting menu for 39 pounds including a glass of wine. Food quality was good but portions tiny (I’m used to fine dining but this was of a different scale). One of the five courses was bread. Kitchen was open which is nice, saw celebrity master chef. Atmosphere is loud though with music making it hard to talk

My friends and I had our group Christmas dinner here on a quiet midweek evening before the holidays. Food was incredible value in terms of flavor and presentation, have been many places before with similarly complex food for double or triple the price. Definitely planning to go back again.

Yelp
We really loved this excellent farm to table dining experience near Hoxton Square. The food was fresh, creative, and delicious, We shared a number of small plates including the aged beef and the barbeque peas. Wine selection was also affordable and diverse. Service was very knowledgeable. I would definitely return when in the area!
