I don't really know much about cheese, except that I love it. So walking into this place was a little overwhelming. It's busy, and most of the people seemed like locals who came in knowing what they wanted, walking fast and speaking the names of these beautiful cheeses with ease. I guess you could say it was a little intimidating. They have some cheeses on display, behind the counter on the shelves and also in a refrigerated case which included cheeses shaped like hearts and stars (kawaii). We ended up with the Comté, Brie, another soft cheese and an orange and spicy beurre (butter). All of which held up well in flight thanks to these vacuum sealed bags that one of the workers recommended for travel. Even in the bags though, they still had some smell, so we wrapped them in another 3-4 plastic bags. But I can imagine the smell being 10x stronger without the vacuum sealed bag!
What gives this place 5 stars is that it's SUPER close to La Grande Epicerie de Paris. So, grab your cheeses and wine, then head to the epicerie for baguettes, fruits, anything else, and have the most delicious Parisian picnic!
