The 16 Best Restaurants in Mountain View - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"When it comes to brunch and lunch, it’s hard to beat the dim sum cart experience. Mere moments after you sit down at Fu Lam Mum, hot tea and a seemingly endless flow of delectable little snacks are wheeled directly to your table. Depending on when you stop in during the brunch/lunch rush without a reservation, you might have to wait a little while, though usually not for more than a few minutes as seating is ample and the staff is very efficient. Make sure to grab at least one plate of the har gow that are bursting with juicy shrimp, as well as the cilantro and scallion roll, which appears to contain an entire garden of fresh herbs. For dessert, go for the classic sesame balls. Fu Lam Mum’s are super crispy on the outside, with a sweet, nutty red bean paste center—the perfect conclusion to your meal." - gabi moskowitz

If you’re craving Cantonese dim sum or classic Chinese dishes, Fu Lam Mun is worth a visit! The food is consistently tasty and satisfying. I’ve been here multiple times and always enjoy the variety and freshness. Definitely a go-to spot for dim sum lovers!

Came here for a birthday dinner with a big group and it was so good! We tried so many different dishes. The pork rice noodle roll was the stand out for us. We also enjoyed sesame buns, chicken feet, shumai, and the cucumbers. Also the duck appetizer was so good. Highly recommend this spot for a group meal.

Google
Good food, great service. Love the updates they’ve made to the inside- looks more upscale now. Recommend the crispy chicken in spicy sauce, the green beans, the cubed steak and the scallion pancakes. Dim Sum is also up there.

Google
Service is awesome and food is great. My fave is the salt and pepper chicken wings. No other places make it as good as here. Their stir-fried dishes are very good. Their HK style ice-lemon tea and milk tea are also very good. Their waiters/waitresses can speak English pretty well. The restaurant is bright and clean inside and decor is nice. I always bring my dog for outdoor seating. Dim sum isn't available for lunch only, you can also order dim sum for dinner too. Highly recommend.

Google
Decent prices and good ambiance. Went here for Mother’s Day late lunch. Service was fast and efficient and I love the dim sum carts and they even come outside with them!

Met with friend for dim sum, at 1230 it was bustling. We were seated after a few minutes and then the carts started coming from all directions. We must have been hungry because we chose a lot of plates. They brought out a nice variety for every craving. I do not know all the names but were able to point which items we wanted.

Best large ~ 2 lb. whole lobster I ever tasted. Tender, sweet, and very tasty/flavorful. The service just like in the HK 5 Stars restaurants. Must visit for their food and its lovely impressive unique modern building exterior and interior decor with an Asian bambu flair. Located in a very lovely stretch of little shops and other equally amazing restaurants with foods from all around the world and much more.

Google
Good Cantonese place. We were a huge party and they gave us a private alcove which was nice. Ordered a bunch of food and had a lot of leftovers. All delicious. My favorite was the jelly fish, eggplant stuffed with shrimp paste and orange chicken. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and I loved the sauce. The shrimp paste didn’t look too processed and it tasted more like actual shrimp in the eggplant, it was very good. The scallion pancake was too thin and bland. The tea they serve is good and the waiter was attentive. The buns we got were just okay, the soup dumpling was nothing special, the flavor didn’t wow me. The pineapple fried rice was pretty good and had a lot of canned pineapple in it which I wanted. Decent food all in all. And huge menu with many choices.

Yelp
Ambiance - 5/5 fantastic upscale modern setting. And it took my colleagues and I by surprise when we entered the restaurant as you really can't tell from the outside. (Exterior looks old and was deceiving ). Glad we decided to give this place a try instead of going to our usual dimsum place which will be 15mins drive out. Food - 4/5 dimsum is great. We ordered multiple dishes. The ones that stood out to us and love by the team included BBQ pork bun, cilantro roll, seafood egg noodle, crispy sesame ball and egg tarts. I also like how they kept the oyster sauce separated from the steamed Chinese broccoli dish which makes it easy for folks to adjust the sauce to their liking. Most places dribbles the sauce over the steamed vegetable which spread unevenly and you get some stems that are either overly concentrated in the oyster sauce while other stems lack the sauce. I didn't try the pork dumplings but my colleagues felt the skin a little too thick and pork taste a bit bland. Xiu Mai was just average. See pics for more. Service - 5/5 great friendly servers and expedient food serving.

Yelp
No wait for party of 2 on a Saturday around 1pm, though it was quite busy. I was happy to see they have the rolling carts since that's harder to come by nowadays. We got the shrimp steamed rice rolls, steamed pork spareribs, turnip cakes, bbq pork puff pastry, and har gow. I liked the steamed pork spareribs which were tender and turnip cakes the most. Har gow skin was a bit too thick and tough for my liking. Bbq pork puff pastry had an off ratio of too much dough and too little meat, but still enjoyed since this is one of my favorite dishes. Shrimp steamed rice rolls were a bit bland even with the sauce, but I liked that they had big pieces of shrimp that were cooked well and not soggy. Service is pretty efficient and straightforward. A plus that they have indoor and outdoor dining, but I don't think the carts go outside. Overall fulfills the dim sum craving and not a bad option in the downtown area!

Yelp
My family and I love to come here for Cantonese food because it's good and consistently good. The people are nice and even remember my family (even my dog when we walk him outside of the restaurant!) I have a few staples I like to get here but I want to give a special shoutout this time to the Roast Duck Soup Wide Noodle, you can also get the drumstick one. It is by far the crispiest and freshest duck you can get in the South Bay (DO NOT mix the duck into the soup; DO eat it ASAP while it's crispy). The soup is so delicious and the wide noodle is cooked al dente. It also comes with perfectly cooked bok choy. It is definitely a well-balanced option. I also have some other favorites I can't really get easily, but I'll get to it another day. There aren't that many Cantonese places I'd recommend, but this is definitely a solid choice if you also want variety. Somehow they're able to handle Cantonese classic entrees, a myriad of dim sum, serve some amazing Cantonese BBQ, and HK diner fare (RIP HK Bistro) ALL in one establishment. The only time I wouldn't come is on the weekend during the day because if I recall correctly, it gets pretty busy and I don't like to wait for tables :))

Yelp
A solid dim sum spot located on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. While it's slightly pricey, that's expected for the area. The food quality was pretty good overall, with a variety of classic dim sum dishes to choose from. However, we noticed that the fried options were a bit cold, borderline stale, which made us wonder if they might have been leftovers from the previous day. Despite that, Fu Lam Mum is a reliable choice if you're looking for dim sum in the area. It's convenient and consistent, making it a good option for a casual meal.

Yelp
Came here for dimsum at night. Food is a bit salty but otherwise it was good and reasonably priced. Service was also quick and friendly. Location is also great in downtown Mountain View. Really liked their sponge cake - this was probably our favorite dish.

Yelp
Fu Lam Mum is a restaurant specializing in Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. Mostly street parking and some parking garage/lot available. The restaurant is good-sized and can accommodate a large group of people/parties. They offer both indoor & outdoor seating.

Yelp
Bummer. I was so excited to try my first dim sum place in MV but it was a let down. Service was great. Ambiance was nice for a dim sum restaurant. But the food was just alright. Large portions but not that good. I will have to keep searching for a better dim sum place.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good dim sum place conveniently located in downtown Mountain View near Central Expressway. There's outdoor seating so we could have our dog accompany us. Food availability was quick and plentiful, we did have to compete for limited dishes even though the place was pretty busy. Food quality was maybe 7.5/10. Size of dim sum items were good, some weren't as hot as ideal, but overall it seemed well done. Servers were friendly and nice. Sui Mai were quite big. We'd come here again!

Yelp
Surprisingly, there were plenty of empty tables when we went at ~11am. I thought people usually come early for dimsums? The restaurant became full by the time we left at 12 though. The carts stopped by our table immediately after we sat down, so we were able to pick up ~8 or so dishes right away. There were a couple dishes that I saw on other people's tables, but I didn't see them in the carts that kept passing by. By the time new carts came out, we were already pretty full. Overall, the dimsums satisfied our cravings and the quality was not bad. Everything came in a set of 4 so it's even-number-party friendly. There's a lot of dimsum nowadays that comes in odd numbers.

Yelp
3.5 stars I think Fu Lam Mum is just ok. The huge issue for me was the skins on the dim sum were a little tough, and I like them softer and more pliable. For example, the har gow, shrimp chive dumpling, and zha liang skins were tough. The taro dumpling was also a tiny bit sour. My favorite thing I got was the preserved pork and century egg porridge which was very homey tasting. If I come back, I'd try things that didn't have skins like the tofu rolls and maybe their gai lan. Service was okay though waiters were a little difficult to flag down. I came on Sunday lunch at noon with party of two, and waited about 15 minutes for a table. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but the carts didn't really go outside, probably because there were stairs. For outside seating, it looked like they had one cart on standby.

Yelp
Yum! This place sometimes has a line in front on the weekends, so I was intrigued. Ended up trying it with a group and I was surprised at the vast variety of choices. Loved their chicken feet and egg tarts! The staff members come by with carts filled with options. We ate soooo much but the bill came out to a reasonable amount for how full we were - about $30 per person. There is both inside and outside seating.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered Peking Duck from Fu Lam Mum, but what I got was Roast Duck. I politely asked why my order was wrong, and instead of a reasonable answer, the staff took a pair of chopsticks and started aggressively poking my duck, insisting, "That's how it's supposed to be." Then in a demeaning manner, they asked if I even knew what Peking Duck was. I've had real Peking Duck plenty of times--the kind with the crispy, golden skin sliced perfectly off the duck. Not this sad, soggy, misrepresented mess. And speaking of soggy, they said, "If you order to-go, it gets soggy." That might make sense if I had picked it up late, but I was there at 6:41 PM for my 6:40 pickup. To top it off, they offered to take it back but wouldn't remake it. So... what exactly were they going to do with it? Serve it to someone else? Throw it in the trash? Who knows? But what I do know is that the photo on their menu and what I received were two completely different things. Extremely disappointed in both the food and the attitude of the staff. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that actually respects both their customers and the dish they're serving.

Yelp
Dining here was suboptimal on so many levels that we felt like we were in a bad reality TV show that was testing our limits. First, we were met by an impersonal and abrupt host who set the mood. This was followed by a string of bizarre experiences. Shortly after being seated, we flagged down a server and asked for a menu. She lifted our tablecloth to reveal a QR code. The QR code took us to an online menu showing our table number, but we couldn't order from it. We could only view items and click on them to zoom in. We flagged down another server and asked about the QR code. She told us to order off the menu and not use the QR code. Over the next 30 minutes, the same three carts with the same dishes kept passing us by while severs would occasionally deliver dishes to other customers' tables. We asked again for a menu and were shown the QR code under our tablecloth. We explained that it didn't work. So, the server fetched us a menu. After spending an hour here and only sharing three plates, we realized that this place would be a huge time sink if we tried to eat more. So. We cut our losses, paid the bill, and went home to satisfy our hunger. On our way out, we saw customers eating outside on the street. Because the food carts couldn't reach them, they would leave their tables to walk up to the sidewalk to view food on the carts. My hats off to them for having a higher tolerance than I for enduring all the nonsense.

Yelp
First time here. Place is clean and has nice decor. Surprise was the restrooms which were cleaner than most dim sum placed. Service is better than other dim sum placed. Carts that roll by. Steaming hot which is nice. Food was slightly above average. Some of the skins were hard. The porridge was thin and not great. Would stick with our regular dim sum joints.

Audrey ..

Yelp
Enjoyed the dim sum - seated quickly with no reservations. Can scan QR code from table or from Chinese menu. Enjoyed the fried pork filled dumpling with the gelatinous wrapper perfect chewy and crispy. Also the steamed bao and hai gao. Really wanted to try the fried chive shrimp dumpling but was given the steamed chive shrimp dumpling by mistake. It was good...but next time will return to taste the fried version. They brought a hot tea pot and 3 tea cups when we sat down. I was surprised this was the first time I have charged per person for a pot of hot tea.

Yelp
Ordered to-go (two baked dishes), food was pretty good BUT: 1. The plastic cover on top cracked so we were picking plastic pieces out of the food. This happens pretty much every time we order the baked dishes to-go so I think the cover needs to be changed. 2. There were sizable eggshell pieces in my food. Kind of understandable if the place was packed so cooks/waiters may be rushed to send food out. However, we came in to pick up around 9pm and so the evening rush had already died down.

Yelp
Located in Downtown Mountain View, parking is plentiful but availability is limited during peak hours. There's a lot of seating for various sizes groups. The bathroom is also very clean and nice. Food takes a while to serve but nonetheless good. I liked the chicken feet as they were super hot and came off the bone easily. You also can't go wrong with both the pea shoot dumpling and steamed chives dumplings. The skin is chewy and the filling is well seasoned. Overall, Fu Lam Mum is a good place for Chinese food. Though the food takes a while it is quite tasty. I recommend the chicken feet.

Yelp
This is my go to place for dim sum in the South Bay. I usually go earlier in the morning on the weekends and there's no wait but plenty of carts ready; you could get least 5 plates on your table the moment you sit down. The best things here are the noodles (I've liked the fried ones and steamed/rolled ones), the shrimp hargow, shrimp ball with crispy fried strands (I don't know the actual name), and fried sticky rice ball with meat filling. The taro ball is pretty good too (I love how crispy it is and it's very filling). I'm not so crazy about the egg tarts, beef cheung fun (it was like gelatinous meatloaf), and xiao long bao.

Yelp
Really solid spot for dim sum! You wouldn't expect to find a good dim sum cart experience in downtown Mountain View but I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. I came with a friend who comes here as her go-to spot for dim sum on a Sunday morning. There were still a good amount of tables when we arrived but by noon, there was already a line forming outside so definitely come early! There are dim cart carts that circle around as well as a QR code based menu that you can order items directly from. Service is quick and efficient and overall everything we got was really good. I'd say the shrimp based dim sum items are really the high here. Loved the crispy shrimp balls, shrimp chive dumplings, and shrimp stuffed peppers. The cha sui rice rolls were also really nice. I have heard that if you come after 1pm, they run out of the popular items. There is outdoor dining as well which is dog friendly and it's always a treat to sit outside on Castro street on a nice day.

Yelp
I used to go here ALL the time as a kid, and finally came back (it's been probably around 10 years?!) to have lunch! We were there a little around opening time on a weekend, and before doors opened we put our names down on the paper waiting list. About 10 minutes later, that piece of paper was filleddd with names and there was a huge crowd waiting outside! Talk about good timing lol Fu Lam Mum brings the traditional cart experience for dim sum which is awesome. They're quick and efficient, and you can see right in front of you what you want to eat. We ordered a few things this time around: + Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls (3/5): The taste was there but the rice rolls were a little overcooked and dry! + Siu Mai (3/5): It was heavier on the ground pork than I would've liked, but the siu mai was moist and tasty. + Chicken Feet (4/5): Can never go wrong with this for dim sum! I liked the sauce and how they don't add jalapenos to this since I usually find it a little overwhelming for the taste. 3.5 stars overall on the food but rounding up :)
google avatar

Memi O.

Yelp
Went here for the authentic dim sum! They have the traditional, fun Cantonese dim sum experience where many carts come by your table and you can choose whatever you want. Pretty fast service. Super loud environment and it was hard to hear our own table's conversations. The siu mai is good here, but the xiao long bao was not (the skin was too thick and tough, and meat filling was not juicy). Pros: the authentic dim sum experience and variety of dishes Cons: too noisy, xiao long bao

Yelp
Huge of this place! My family came for dinner last Wednesday evening to also celebrate my nephews birthday. We ordered a huge amount of food from dim sum to core dishes like chow mein, fried rice, sweet & sour pork, chow fun, Chinese broccoli, won ton soup, and more! Everything came out on time and also made fresh. The food is flavorful and will definitely stuff you. I'm a huge fan of their duck! The meat and skin is so tender and crisp. I also love their chili oil which paired with basically everything. Their service is nice and full of energy. They're quick on their feet and will make their frequent rounds for orders and refills. My family loves this restaurant and we'll be coming back again!

Yelp
Came early on a Saturday morning and everything was in chaos -- not sure if that's SOP here or if they were having issues opening that day. We weren't given a card/bill for our table, and we weren't given tea either. It took a bit to get food because they wouldn't serve us without a card on the table. Eventually, the carts started skipping our table again for some reason, which was pretty frustrating. However, this probably worked out in our favor anyway because we were really unimpressed with the quality of the food... The Fried Shrimp Balls in particular were very small and over fried. We've had much better experiences at so many other dim sim restaurants in the South Bay (with or without cart service) that I can't imagine us coming back here.
google avatar

Vivi B.

Yelp
I was dissapointed. Service was slow. Menu is confusing and so long - you have to scan the QR code still and scroll through hundreds of items. They kept pushing the dessert dim sum before we even ordered. No water was offered to us, but it was offered to all the other tables. They only brought one lunch special 15 minutes after ordering. The fish was way overcooked and greasy. The rice was a little crunchy. The carpet under our table was dirty with food. At the high price point you would expect table cloth and nice napkins, but it's paper napkins. The lunch special did not come with soup or egg rolls. It's incredibly loud. Had to flag someone down to pay the bill. They need more servers.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars -- not a bad spot for dim sum in downtown Mountain View but there are other places in south bay that I would prefer over Fu Lam Mum. I came here with a friend this past Sunday and put our names down on the waitlist at the front of the restaurant. It might seem like there's a lot of people waiting but the line moves quickly and we were in after ~15 minutes. I do really enjoy that this place does the dim sum carts as opposed to just ordering directly from a menu, but the items we ended up getting were just alright in my opinion. We got a total of 6 things -- siu mai, bean curd rolls, steamed BBQ pork buns, egg tarts, tofu stuffed with shrimp, and baked BBQ pork pastries. The siu mais, BBQ pork buns, and egg tarts were pretty solid but the bean curd rolls fell flat for me and both the stuffed tofu and BBQ pork pastries lacked in flavor...

Yelp
Dine In and To go couple times with this place. Their dim sum are not bad, but the quality of their food freshness are not guaranteed. Also, their to go packing are worsed. I've ordered couple times this year with their HK style spaghetti. Their plastic cover sheet from the foil container are always melted into the spaghetti. Even though, I complained and asked them to not stack up the order with only one packing bag, yet it end up came with one packing bag, and the plastic cover is nodoubt melting and mixing with spaghetti. That's yuck and not safe to eat. Maybe, the owner is saving the packing bag cost or just simply ignore the sanity and safety code. Not recommended to go order for their bake items.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
Fast, cart service dim sum. Go here if you want to sit down and eat fast. Dim sum is just OK. It was just below the bar for me in terms of flavor and quality for what you're paying for. Not a ton of variety either. But the speed of service really made up for it.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
Very good dim sum and worth the wait in line. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, although not sure how much the carts come outside. They seemed to do a lot of volume, so food off the carts were pretty hot. A good variety of items and service was pretty decent. All in it was about $42/pp which is kinda high, but that's the way of the world. Would definitely return when in the area.
google avatar

Quentin P.

Yelp
Hmm, thought I reviewed before. In years and visits past this was a great dim sum place. Todays visit was lackluster. Good gage was the chickens feet: Cooked well, decent quality, but not much taste. Beef and noon dish was also a little lacking taste that it could. Cuts of beef were pretty good, not fatty or gristlely. Just lacking coherent flavor. Maybe their morning chef is new? Service was pretty quick but seemed little hesitant to help out. Asked for white pepper for our rice porridge and asked a second time about 10 min later and nothing. Gave up and just ate the porridge without it. Ambiance, quiet. Just people talking, no music. We are willing to try again, but there are many other local places that have a level above what we experienced in this visit, so I have trouble saying I would go out of my way to come back again.

Yelp
Seems like a popular, busy spot for dumplings in Mountain View downtown. Service is very fast and they had both cart and menu orders on a Sunday afternoon. Really liked the shrimp paste baked in pepper skin ( try if you like spice/ heat). The chicken bun was dry and chewy, so wouldn't recommend that. The filling lacked flavor as well. The chives and shrimp dumpling were piping hot and tasty but they could use fresh chives to make it taste better. Really enjoyed the hot, tasty dumplings on a cold afternoon. Would love to revisit!

Yelp
If you miss the dim sum cart experience, you can still find it here at Fu Lam Mum in Mountain View! The pandemic nearly wiped out all the dim sum carts in the Bay Area so when i heard they had it, I knew I had to go. We came on a Saturday morning when they opened, and got a table outside on Castro St. The carts come to the side of the street and you are able to pick what you want. I thought the food itself was pretty average and serviceable. The har gow, shrimp rice rolls, and siu mai were pretty good and would definitely order again. The spareribs were my favorite out of all of them. I could eat that everyday. Dim sum definitely isn't inexpensive, as we spent over $100 for 4 people, but honestly that's just normal in 2023. The outdoor dining is dog friendly, which is the great thing about the Downtown Mountain View area. The place did start to get packed closer to noon, so get there early to avoid the crowds.
google avatar

El Y.

Yelp
Every dish was overly sweet and tasted a bit plastic-y / unnaturally chewy. Lining up is not worth it; the hype most likely comes from being the only dim sum place in downtown Mountain View. Bland flavors and not fresh ingredients. The fried shrimp balls tasted like cardboard.
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
Delicious and great service! Love the sweet n sour pork and wonton soup. Sunday dim sum is wonderful

Andrew S.

Yelp
The restaurant was full when we got here a little after noon, but the wait was only 5 minutes or so for 2 people. I've been to this restaurant a long time ago, but it seems like they've renovated it and it is very nice on the inside compare to before. Everything we got was solid, except maybe the congee, which had too many flavors in it. The restaurant was extremely loud ... they should consider getting some better soundproofing. They also have outdoor seating, so maybe next time, it might be better to sit outside ...
google avatar

Bruce H.

Yelp
I'd say it is an authentic Cantonese cuisine in the Bay Area and definitely is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant has been serving up delicious dishes since 1996, and it's easy to see why it's a local favorite. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Some standout dishes include the BBQ pork, which is sweet, savory, and perfectly charred, and the salt and pepper shrimp, which are crispy and packed with flavor. The restaurant also offers a range of soups, noodle dishes, and vegetarian options, so there's something for everyone. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they're happy to make recommendations if you're not sure what to order. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy, with plenty of seating for groups of all sizes.

Yelp
Reliable "old school" dim sum Chinese restaurant. Most of the staples present on the menu. We were there on a recent Saturday evening. No carts unfortunately. Portions were good and prices reasonable. 4 adults & 2 children - $180 (including tip). Service was a little slow - they seemed slightly short staffed. But very nice. Convenient parking in city lot in rear. Not too many of these restaurants left anymore!

Yelp
Still my favorite dim sum restaurant in Silicon Valley. I feel like despite COVID and the inflation problems, the prices haven't really changed. Also, service and food quality has remained altered for some quite years now. If you go during the weekday for lunch, be sure to order the $19.99 lunch plate. My favorite proteins are the bbq pork and peking duck. You can still order dim sum items. Any of the tried and true are delicious. It can get packed on the weekends but then you get to experience the dim sum push cart. I recommend an item off the menu: the Chinese donut wrapped in rice noodle (zha liang). Its super carby so just pair it up with a protein of your choice.

Yelp
Pricey and long waiting during Friday night and weekends but the food are awesome and definitely will be back even though for waiting a long period of time

Yelp
A nice place in Castro street to break away and grab sun dimsum....the only thing is this place around is ordered plates instead of carts walking around. Price is reasonable and taste is good This place fills up fast so get there early

Yelp
Best Hong Kong food and dim sum! I've hosted parties here. Great food and service! Thanks Ben!

Yelp
Fu Lam Mum is one of my go-to dim sum places, mostly because I'm a huge fan of the dim sum carts which seem to be a dying species. Quality-wise and service-wise, it can be a hit or miss. One of my favorite dishes is the fried donut rice roll, which I unfortunately do not have a picture of. It sounds strange but it's just a Chinese fried donut (you tiao) wrapped in rice paper and it's delicious. I wish I could do half stars because then I would probably give Fu Lam Mum a 3.5, but I'll round up for the carts.

Yelp
Excellent service and yummy authentic Cantonese cuisine. They are the only Chinese restaurant which serve deep fried soft shell crab in the Bay Area. It was a bit salty the first time but I call them and they are happy to de-salt the crab a couple of hours prior to my arrival. Then they come out perfect for my taste!!! I am sensitive to salty and greasy dishes and they gladly accommodate less salt and less oil. I rarely write reviews but they truly deserve this 5 stars rating.

Yelp
Staple provider of our dim sum needs. Tried other places around the South Bay but nothing comes as close to NYC dimsum than this place. We've tried. The others all failed. What the usuals are in my house: - taro puff with pork filling - shrimp balls rolled in crispy noodles - bbq pork chan fen - tofu curd rolls with pork - stuffed eggplant - chickens feet Just be prepared to take a nap after!

Yelp
Food 3.5 star Service 4 star Prices 5 star This place packs up quickly before noon. They have some indoor seating and some outdoor seating, which really helps with the rush. We were sat down almost immediately and ordered jasmine tea. Right after, the carts started arriving. We ordered a variety of dishes. Some were good, others not so much. They have huge pieces of shrimp in their dishes, big plus. My friend took a bunch of items to go and when the waiters realized that, they brought out boxes. When I saw the bill at the end, I was shocked at the low price. Would come here again and stick to the dishes I know.

Yelp
During this Thanksgiving Week I'd like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Fu Lam Mum!! Having dim sum here is simply and might I say objectively the best choice for so many scenarios. Bad day? Dim sum will fix that! Happy day? Dim sum is the perfect way to celebrate! Too tired to cook? Dim sum will fix that too! This place has always been stable, tasty, and with fast service all around. I'm thankful to have a solid dim sum place so close by and will undoubtably be back soon!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. Located in the heart of downtown Mountain View. I would have not known it existed if it weren't for my friends who suggested we go here and Yelp! Service was very attentive with refills on waters and constantly clearing our dirty dishes. Our order just kept on coming and coming! So fast!! I went with a group of 8 people and we were well taken care of! Note there was an 18% service charge included in the bill already. I enjoyed the salt and pepper fish, sui mai, shrimp rice noodle roll, BBQ pork rice noodle roll, tofu shrimp paste with bean curd, and shrimp balls with sweet chili sauce! Peking duck was good but the bun is very filling. One was enough for me tbh. I would have preferred pancake style. Walnut shrimp portion was kinda small but still good. Beef chow fun was lacking a bit more seasoning. I would not get the bbq pork bun because it's over baked and kinda burnt. Not the best presentation tbh. There were lots of dishes that I enjoyed + great service so I would def be back!

Yelp
Arrived early to enjoy dim sum outside. Perfect day for outside dining! Our waitress Irene was great, prompt and worked tirelessly as all the outside tables were her responsibility. We enjoyed everything but the highlights were the Chow Fun with beef and Tomato beef with crispy noodles. The chicken feet were spot on as well as the egg tarts. Recommended restaurant.

Yelp
The food is not fresh. Wonton is sour, BBQ pork is partial raw. Waiter looks like doesn't care at all. Too bad, won't come any more.

Yelp
FOOD The food was pretty good. Except, since it was in the cart for so long, the food a is a bit less fresh and slightly cold. Their dim sum is like any other place. SERVICE The service is a bit complicated. It's very nosy and confusing. Some of the servers don't really speak English, making it difficult to communicate. AMBIENCE The lighting is dim. The tables in the room are also not arranged very nicely. It is very cramped and there is barely any space to walk with the carts rolling every second.
