Fuji Speedway Hotel (Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Perhaps only in Japan would a hotel on the site of a racetrack be an unusually fine one. The Fuji Speedway Hotel features views of the mountain and the speedway, and is home to a motor sports museum in addition to its onsen-style spa and its Italian and Japanese restaurants. The rooms are handsome and minimalist in style, and feature soaking tubs and rain showers, as well as balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. Excursions, naturally, are available to both Mount Fuji and the speedway, each one offering its own flavor of adrenaline rush." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed at this hotel during my Japan trip was very satisfied. The rooms were comfortable and the balcony enabled a very nice view of Mount Fuji. Though the test track can get a bit noisy at morning it’s still fun to watch the cars race around. The only inconvenience I would say is the location, though if you’re staying in the Fuji area you should be renting a car anyway.

This hotel proves that perfection is possible! We've been there in the fall, and enjoyed so much thanks to the good advise from Mr. Ryosuke Inoue, front office manager, that we came back now, in the spring time. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Masatoshi Fuka and Ms. Annisa Safa, made us feel at home. They helped us with our very heavy laguage with such a big smile that kept us smiling during our stay. The room is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed and super confortable. If you want an unforgetable visit near Fuji mountain- you better choose this hotel. The theme of racing car world is really cool and if you add this to the super proffessional stuff- you get the perfect stay! Enjoy :-)

I had a great time at the hotel and I only wish my stay was longer. I am not a huge race car fan but it is hard to not appreciate the numerous details at the hotel for the theme. The hotel room is spacious and everything is nicely prepared. I booked a Fuji view room and enjoyed the breathtaking view at dawn. I noticed the clouds came up quickly to cover the mountain. Being able to see the mountain early in room is a great bonus. All the staff were nice and helpful. They prepared the sofa bed for my kid before I arrived. The gym is fully equipped and the onsen has 3 pools of different temperature plus sauna. The pool and hot tub look great too. The breakfast has a good selection and carefully sourced ingredients. The only possible downside is the location. It is in a quiet place and is mostly suitable for folks with a car. There's a large cemetery nearby if that is concerning. I will definitely visit again.

To the wives and girlfriends who are scoping out this place to see if they can handle the stay while the husband turns into an 8 year old boy for a few days - you’ll be fine, and you’ll love it too. Truly a 5-star experience from the moment you drive in with the excellently manicured hedges and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and calming, beds are great, toilet, shower and bathrooms are immaculate. Between the restaurants and the bar, the food and service was a solid 4/5. Kids will love the bar for its die cast model wall. Children can be admitted until 10pm there. The most immediate choice you’ll be presented with when booking is whether your balcony faces Mt Fuji or the circuit and yes your husband will pick the circuit view. So even when the balcony doors are closed and sealed, the cars are still audible and will be on track from 9am till 5pm. With the doors closed it’s quiet enough to have a nap, but if you need absolute silence in this serene part of Oyama you will need to pick the Fuji view, which is beautiful. If you’ve made this choice, the husbands can be pacified as a stay at the hotel offers a free circuit entry pass (though there is nothing quite like watching the cars go through Panasonic from your hotel balcony). Meanwhile the high tea and spa/pool/gym facilities are spacious and well equipped for some good TLC. Nothing comes across as being an afterthought here. Breakfast is your typical 5-star spread with some Japanese choices. The connected museum with 2 floors will also keep the casual viewer occupied for an hour, and the enthusiasts, a lifetime. A highly unique touch at this hotel is the greasy scent in the lobby, a nod toward the motorsport theme that permeates the place.

I’ve found my favourite hotel in the entire world. I had sky-high expectations for Fuji Speedway Hotel - and it still managed to exceed every single one. From the moment we arrived, it was a motorsport lover’s dream come true. Every detail pays homage to racing: exhaust pipes as art, engines displayed like sculptures, and gear-inspired touches woven throughout the décor. Even the lobby is perched above a two-level museum filled with legendary Japanese race cars—an absolute must-see. Our entire stay was flawless. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and Fuji Speedway. Every meal—from breakfast to dinner to high tea—was a delight, and the amenities throughout the hotel were top notch. I truly can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m already dreaming of our return.

This hotel is a paradise of Motorsport fanatic, from the Circuit View room, Bar 4563, Fuji Motor Sports Museum to Fuji Speedway driving experience, Fuji Motorsports Forest, my hubby enjoyed all of these so much!! We stayed at Circuit View room that was spacious and cozy, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great. For the wife, I loved the spring afternoon tea, Robata dinner and breakfast, unfortunately I didn't have enough time to spend time at wellness center.

Fuji Motorsports Museum, an F1 simulator experience, test driving on the course, karting, a spa with views of Mt. Fuji, and spacious, clean, luxurious guest rooms— if you love Japan and motorsports, this is a hotel you absolutely must stay at at least once.

Stunning hotel! Far exceeded expectations. At 6am I could see Mt. Fuji perfectly from my room. Bars and restaurants were amazing. Even if you're not a sports-racing car enthusiast it was fun watching cars on the track. Not sure if they race everyday, but there were cars on the track both days we were there. This hotel also has a spa and an Onsen which I didn't realize when I booked it. Room was large, comfortable and spotless. Hotel amenities were amazing. Staff were exceptional. Biggest regret that I didn't book more than 1 night. I could easily see myself staying there several days to enjoy the spa, Onsen and the surrounding environment was such a respite from the craziness of the cities.
