I placed a large group order for the college volleyball team I work for. Joe and his team were so awesome to work with. They were incredibly communicative, organized and thoughtful. The delivery was seamless, and the delivery driver was so pleasant and helpful. Our volleyball squad absolutely LOVED the food, it was so delicious. We really appreciated that they also offered gluten-free crust, as we have several players with allergies. We will absolutely be ordering from them next time we are in New York for a match. Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you for everything!!!

My go to pizza parlor anytime I visit Arthur Ave. The neopolitan slice is large, thin, and is crispy. No flop from this slice. The sicilian seemed a little thick and heavy but I'm told it was delicious. Garlic knots are large pillows of garlic heaven. The rice ball is filled with meat and served piping hot with a side of gravy. Finally the stuffed bread had great flavor from the ham and pepperoni.

I had 2 slices. 1 cheese and 1 deluxe. The plain cheese was my favorite of the 2. I think I would have liked getting a whole fresh pie a little more than just a slice. It got a little to crunchy to make my best of list. I'd eat it again and did enjoy it, just not a top 10 in the city pizza for me. I do have to give then credit for still serving that big ole NYC slice.

My kids loved the cheese pizza !! The slices are huge compared to most pizza spots in the Bronx. The chicken wings were kind of salty not spicy. The garlic bread was good!! I will order again from Ubereats.

Much better service! Ally was an amazing waitress/cashier. She was sweet, and she catered to our wants and needs. The food from Full Moon Pizza, was hands down fantastic. Non acidic, sweet, flavorful, delicious! The prices are pretty good for a pizza place mid center of Little Italy! Best marinara sauce of my life. I would recommend coming here 10/10 times more than Luna Cafe. The environment is warm and people come in, get served, and go out. It’s busy because it’s good. I ordered a small pie of margarita. Came to $30.48 tax Inc. Barely any cheese and tomato chunks too big. IT WAS HORRIBLE! Had to add mozzarella at home to make it even edible... The quality is not there for the price you pay. The only people giving this place good reviews are tourist who don't know what good NYC pizza is. It's not all about the size of the slice! Maybe their other pizza is better but I would NEVER RETURN.. All your paying for is the name and location and the 50-year signage.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! After Trying to eat this mess and reading further reviews The owner seems to be a real nutcase with his responses. All he wants to do is remind you that it's fifty years old and not do anything about the food. Try Lucianos in Morris Park, it's 15 min away.

Great taste, pizza with (thin crispy base that cracks) big portions, ample seating (both indoor and outdoor) nice sauce but the price per slice is a bit higher than most neighboring shops. The chicken Parm pizza was quite good. Solid flavor, tons of chicken and nice mozzarella sauce combo. I got a grilled chicken calzone and the filling was delicious and the sauce paired well with it. The crust however was a bit harder and less chewy than I would have liked.

Amazing! Service, price, taste.... all of it! Even my wife loved it and she hates pizza. Definitely the pizza we were looking for when we came to NYC. Everything else we tried until this point had been greasy, too much dough, too much sauce, no flavor... but this was the real deal! Little Italy in the Bronx did not dissapoint! Not to mention the selection of slices and other items far exceed the other places we went! 10 out of 10 recommend!

After participating in the Tour de Bronx, it's tradition for us to hit up Little Italy for a cold brew at the Beer Hall. As we walked by Full Moon Pizza, I was instantly reminded of how incredible their slices are--I just had to stop in! The pizza is as delicious as ever--perfectly crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and that unbeatable New York slice. Plus, nothing beats pairing it with a great beer. If you're in the Bronx and craving classic, mouth-watering pizza, Full Moon is a must!

For starters, they charge $6 for a single specialty slice. That's insanity. Additionally, the sauce is bland, ordered a chicken parm pizza slice and all I tasted was the crust. It could use SALT. I've never tasted breaded chicken that tastes like nothing. I know they're 40 years in business, but I'd hope that I'm not the first person to tell them that they have bland pizza. Please try harder.

I've been ordering pizza from here for a couple of years now. So far i have only had pizza delivered to my home. I always order a large pie. I tried the following toppings: pepperoni, mushrooms, bacon and sausage. They allow you to pick different toppings for the left or right side. My favorite combo is mushrooms and bacon on the left side and pepperoni on the right side. So good. The pizza's here are huge, it takes up the entire box. The pizza has an amazing tomato sauce and always has a good amount of cheese. I love the crust, its just enough. I've also ordered the garlic knots multiple times. My favorite part is always the pieces of garlic on the knots. The knots have a great crispy exterior and a soft inside. Its delicious. They serve it with marinara sauce which is always good. I just wish i had more of it. Pizza fridays from Full Moon will continue in my household. We love it here.

We order Full Moon for the staff of our daycare, Tiny Hearts Childcare in the Bronx. They're great! Huge slices, huge garlic knots. We love it :)

My trip back to the BX wouldn't be complete without having some pizza from little Italy of the Bronx. The plain slice was amazing. For such a big slice, the crispy crust did not wilt. The right amount of sauce and the cheese was good as well. Now the Sicilian was great. I was a bit intimidated by how thick it was, but when you bite in, it is very light and airy. The guys behind the counter are very cortious and helpful. Service is great. The ambiance is casual and friendly. Can't wait to try other slices.

It's been remodeled. Still the same quality for decades. Bring an appetite the slices are large (see photo) crisp, fresh mozzarella and good sauce. The garlic knots must be on steroids; they're three times the size most place serve. It seems a little touristy on the weekends. But, it is in Little Italy in the Bronx.

Full Moon pizzeria is a MUST when you're on Arthur ave. Classic pizza served to you in HUGE slices the size of your head. Its worth every penny. I recommend the combo slice, its pepperoni, mushroom, peppers and onions. This place is rated so high for a reason and just a super classic real pizzeria.

A regular slice is $4.50 and a speciality slice is $6! The slices were too crispy to my liking, each bite was like a big chip with sauce and cheese. The margherita slice comes with a ton of basil and oregano on it which I found to be nice. I didnt need to add any more seasonings on top. The garlic knots comes with a small thing of marinara sauce.

Best pizza in NY!!! The chicken parm pizza is SPECTACULAR. the crust is thin but crunchy. the toppings are the perfect amount. It's the best pizza. BBQ chicken is also delicious. Slices are HUGE. Definitely worth it. The workers are nice and whip up your pizza slice quickly. They warm it up immediately so it's always fresh

I came here on a whim having seen the reviews on Yelp. This pizza is certainly a very large slice, but its quite costly for the slice. The plain slice was only okay. We did enjoy the margarita slice though! Not sure if we'll come again though.

Solid NYC style pizza. The slices are generous, the crust is crispy, and the cheese to tomato ratio is practically perfect. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the best pizza in the city, but it's solid. I wish there was more herb or garlic flavor in the sauce. Also, I recommend getting the garlic knots.

Look at that crust! The pizza is Huuuuge! I'm driving back from Hudson Valley and we're hungry. I was going to my beloved Brooklyn but traffic was insane so? I set the nav to Arthur Ave, to my peoples! Well it turns out, my peoples are closed on Sunday or open late. It was the bat signal, I see Full Moon pizza open for business. There's a guy on line face timing to his pregnant wife, how about this one? Nah. Artichoke? It was very cute. There's two tables with kids, all running around and enjoying themselves. This is a family spot, I'm loving it so far. I ordered a regular pizza thinking I'd bring some home for my two sons. My wife, she's looking at the artichoke pizza up and down! I ordered a slice and had them split it down the middle. Amazing. Our hot delicious pizza is now ready. The pizza crust is cooked perfectly. It is very crunchy, folding wouldn't be recommended. Everything works, the sauce, the cheese, a very good slice of pizza in "The Bronx". Parking is kinda challenging, it's worth it to come to Full Moon Pizza

Ordered dinner for the parents, to be sent via DoorDash. They've told me that this is their favorite pizza in the area, and they've always raved about the mushroom pizza and how despite the higher price, the slices they stop in to get, are well-made and well-topped. So while there are many other options in the area for pizza, I decided to pay more and order from here. I was not impressed with the Large Mushroom Pie. Slices seemed large indeed but the pizza itself as far as sauce, cheese and mushroom topping - were underwhelming. Also, they choose not to allow/accept any Special Requests or Notes on DoorDash. So while they have Sodas on the menu, there is absolutely no way to indicate which soda you want. They sent Pepsi, whether or not we had any choice. House Salad was standard, so again, on the higher side as far as price for something very basic. I know that they get great reviews, and my parents do enjoy it - but perhaps they're good with in-person, dine-in more so, and aren't as meticulous when it comes to delivered food.

My First stop of my personal journey to find the best Pizza in the NYC (by Borough) starts at Full Moon pizza in the Bronx. (In order to find and determine the best pizza I will be ordering a Large Cheese pizza. I will not try and order the pizza parlors special combinations. A pizza could be judged by how fantastic their simple cheese pizza is). Now let me first start off by saying that Full moon pizzas are HUGE. The staff, when I ordered a large pie, looked at me like I was crazy and tried to warn me how big the pie was. Given that, I was surprised by how huge the pie was (however I did finish it in one sitting). Let's start the review with price. For an entire cheese pie, the price was 25.50. that's excellent considering one pie could feed 2-4 hungry people. The pizza was great. the sauce flavorful, not too much cheese to ruin the crust, sauce, and cheese ratio. The crust was crispy and a little chewy throughout the whole slice. So when you fold it, the slice did not flop. because of the crispiness of the crust, it held together folded throughout the whole process of eating it. The texture of the crust throughout the slice gave the eating experience a pleasure texture and enough contrast. The reason this pizza is not a 5/5 is that the crispiness of the crust is extended throughout the slice, so the end crust turned into almost a cracker crunch. It made the ends of the pizza (the crust) almost inedible to me. If you like your crust thin and crispy like a cracker, then this would be perfect, but I prefer eating a slightly crispy but chewy crust. This crust was too crispy at its end. Overall, a 4/5 more like a 4.3/5 if that was a rating on yelp. The ambiance is great. It's a local favorite in the little Italy section of the Bronx. Which a lot of other options in the area, this one stands out a little above the rest. A lot of Variety of slices and pies as well. A worthy slice and pie in the Bronx. IF you are looking for a local favorite, Full Moon check that box. (bonus: The Garlic Knots looked like a local favorite as well) .

HUGE slices!! Service is good. Good offering of different varieties, including vegetarian slices. Vegan slices are hit or miss. But, their price point!!! One of the best bangs for the buck in all of the five boroughs!! We will be back!

This was my first time here. I got a slice of pizza and the meat Stromboli with mozzarella. The slice was really tasty, a little thinner then I'm used to but still delicious. The crust was crunchy with a bit a chew to it. Not to much sauce and the right amount of cheese. I gave the Stromboli to my mom so I didn't get to try it lol. I will surely be going back

Happy to sit and chill in the Bronx lLittle Italy for a a late lunch. Great service and welcoming first visit to Full Moon. Crispiest crust on all four slices we tried. Regular and Sicilian. Equally crispy. Oversized slices and thin crust on the round pie slices. Two enjoyable Italian house wines ready to be opened fresh poured into a plastic cup for $5. Really? Yes. Better than our $60 wine at Enzo last week. Will return for lunch, late lunch or a quick dinner. Hard to not love Arthur Avenue. Wanting to move to a place on this street. Hahah

I been eating pizza from Full Moon since I was a kid! Pizza slices were always big but they have definitely gotten bigger. The pizzera is rarely empty so that speaks to their great service all year round. It's a corner spot pizzeria. Cozy space inside despite at times being packed. It also has outdoor seating for the warmer weather. My favorite slices are the chicken slice, pepperoni and sausage, and no one can ever go wrong with a classic cheese slices. The pizza option are endless. You won't find a $1 slice but the price for their slice is definitely worth it. Oh... and the garlic knots!! Amazing. Full Moon is a Bronx staple.

My favorite place to grab a slice, or even a plate of pasta. This place is possibly the best of the Bronx.

DISGUSTING. The food here has gotten progressively worse. They built up a customer base by serving the local college kids and people passing through who don't know better. I've just eaten there for the last time. I was starving so I figured anything will be good enough; WRONG. I got a chicken calzone which was made up of finely diced leftover chicken cutlet which certainly should have been thrown out. It tasted like it was left for days in a lukewarm defrosting refrigerator. I can't believe they serve this to customers. I ended up throwing most of it out after a couple of bites. I just couldn't do this to myself. Also, only cheap places finely chop their leftovers and serve them as calzones. I say again... DISGUSTING. Don't do it to yourself. There are plenty of options for good food in the area.

I was really excited to try this place because I pass it all the time but I wasn't a fan. $6 for "specialty" slices. The white pizza had tomatoes on it which I didn't love. The issue with the slice was how mushy it was. The super thin crust also made it a bit challenging. The weight from all the mushy ricotta was just a bad mix. The spinach artichoke pizza was also a bust. There was soooo much spinach and then one big piece of artichoke. Again, no real seasoning to it and thing crust. The staff was super nice but I won't be back.

Had a Great White Pie with Tomato and Broccoli.. a Sausage Roll and a Rice(meat) Ball.. they were really good.. I'd would definitely recommend this place if you're going to the Bronx. Can't wait to go back and try their regular sauce pie Pizza..

We got here at the end of the night, but we're able to grad some regular slices. The pizza was very good with crunchy crust and a cheesy slice. The service was quick and served hot. There is outdoor seating area as well as inside. Would definitely visit again in the area

Full Moon Pizza is a New York-style pizzeria that opened up in the Bronx, New York in 1976. It is owned by the Petti Family, who immigrated to New York City from Nocera Inferiore, Italy around 1970. Located in the heart of the Bronx's "Little Italy" neighborhood, the eatery was originally home to the Half Moon Restaurant. When it was converted to a pizzeria in 1976, the name was changed to "Full Moon". Stan Petti bought the restaurant in 1978. His parents Jerry and Marie helped out in the kitchen and his sisters Nancy and Joanne worked as waitresses and counter help. The pizzeria immediately became popular with students at Fordham University. Aside from students and "Little Italy" locals, several celebrities have also stopped in the pizzeria over the years. Today, Stan works alongside his son Gerardo. In addition to their pizza, Full Moon also makes calzones, paninis, wraps, subs, pasta dishes, and various Italian entrees. My wife and I first visited Full Moon Pizza in December 2019. We were visiting the Bronx Zoo with some friends to see their Holiday Lights display. Afterwards, we were all pretty hungry so we decided to take a walk to Little Italy nearby. When we walked by Full Moon Pizza, we thought, "what about this place?" We walked in and the place smelled great. We looked over the menu and decided to split a large Buffalo Chicken pizza. The crust was nice and crispy, the chicken was very flavorful, and the Buffalo sauce had just enough heat. We were all very satisfied!

Great pizza! Slices are big, crisp and delicious! Arancini's are the size of bocce balls! Love this place!

I forgot how good New York pizza really is. The crispy thin crust, juicy sweet tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and then luscious eggplant. It doesn't taste like salty dough, you really get the flavor of the freshest ingredients. Some pizza is greasy and too salty; never at Full Moon

Customer service here is top notch. Pizza is excellent. When and if in the Bronx, this is the place to visit for Pizza. Typical home town Italian Pizzeria. Very busy and very cool all in one. Always a great experience when visiting. Would definitely return and would absolutely recommend.

What you expect from a NY pizzeria. Slices are big, crispy and not over sauced. Get the mozzarella slice and you will not be disappointed. Love little Italy on Arthur Ave!

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie..from Full Moon Pizzeria.. that's amore! Absolutely loved this pizzeria in the heart of little Italy. It felt so good to walk in here and catch up with the owner and parlare un po d'italiano with this paesano. The pizza pies are huge and the slices even huge-er! Loved how thin the dough is and all the delicious toppings to choose from. My favorite was the broccoli rabe one but there were endless options coming out. Warm plates also available. Loved to come here and grab a bite and just listen to Tiziano Ferro, Eros Ramazzotti and all these amazing artist on the radio while I stuff my face. Felt a little melancholic and brought me back home. Grazie full moon for the pizza! Can't wait to be back!

The cheese is the only thing good on the pizza strait cardboard. You may try the chicken park it looks more appealing than other places I've seen but the pizza gets a two because the price and quality just do not match up.

Walking by we saw some folks chowing down on what looked like some tasty slices of pizza so we decided to stop in and see what the fuss was about Slices here are a little on the pricey side $6 for a single slice. The crust was crispier than I would normally like but that's a personal preference Grabbed a slice of the white pizza and thought the toppings tasted fresh. I would go back if in the area but with so many awesome pizza places we may try another next time.

My favorite is the chicken parmesan pie. 2nd time ordering from this pizzeria and will definitely be ordering again.

Rolls: a surprising find, but delicious! We pointed at the things on the counter not knowing what they were. Turns out: they were rolls! $7 each. After a quick blast in the oven, the dough crunched up, the cheese was gooey, the generous heaps of meat and sauce were warmed through. Marinara sauce was a nice addition. We were deciding between these and the calzones, which also looked solid. We chowed down at the outside tables under the awnings: essential, because it was pouring! We were passing through on our way to the botanical garden and were recommended this place by the staff at a bakery down the street. Great recommendation.

Had a delicious spinach-loaded, crispy-crusted, pesto-covered slice and cannot wait to come back. Also, I don't eat sausage, but the guy next to me was eating the broccoli rabe and sausage hero and it looked amazing - packed with vibrant but tender greens, accented with sausage. I feel like this place brings the veggie-heavy Italian style of cooking that I loved in Italy, plus the crispy New York crust.

The service and the pizza is always on point. What I love is how they evenly distribute the toppings. It's not just chicken baptized in bbq sauce, there's a balance the chefs have and I greatly appreciate the subtlety.

Something I love about Yelp is when you see good reviews online, and then go to the place IRL and it is seriously poppin'. I mean, who knew the place would be so busy at 3:30pm on a Wednesday?! Loves: 1. Cards accepted (yay!) 2. One slice is enough. It's HUGE. 3. Reasonable prices for the size ($5.50 for a specialty slice) 4. Pizza is yummy and got a slight crunch which I looove. Not so loves: 1. The seating gets full quickly bc the spot is popular, so just wait a bit or sit outside. 2. It's about a 15min walk to the subway. Meh. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised when coming here and I would surely come back again for some yummy pizza on Arthur Ave!

I enjoyed it so much I decided to "Full Moon" the customers, and let me tell you, you haven't seen The Bronx until you've seen it from the inside of a South Bronx Jail Cell. What to get: A slice What not to get: Arrested for mooning the customers Didn't want to love this pizza, but oh wow, I so did. Definitely my 2nd fave slice that I've had in The Bronx, after Louie & Ernie's. Delicious margerita with succulent fresh mozzarella. Loved it, and each slice is ginormously huge. I only wanted a few bites (since I was on my way to Queens Summer Stunner - a Yelp party), but I ate a lot more than expected. The best pizza places I've ever had (anywhere in the world) are in Queens but Brooklyn and Manhattan and Bronx all have some pretty stand-up and potentially life-changing pizzerias, and this is well worth a try if you are in the neighbourhood. There's nothing like a Full Moon Pie, except my boyfriend says he'd prefer to Fill my Moon Pie, but I'm not sure he's talking about the same thing.

As a new student at Fordham University, I've been dying to find new places to eat near campus. After walking around the area with my dad, we found this place that a friend recommended to us awhile back. This little pizza place just a few blocks from school is amazing! There are tons of slices to choose from and everything tastes fresh. The grandma's pizza was by far my favorite. The sauce was the freshest sauce I've ever had. This place is a little bit expensive, but you should still check it out. I can definitely see myself being a regular here during my time at Fordham.

Delicious pizza. Always been great. I love the garlic rolls as well. Lot of pizza competition in this part of little Italy in the Bronx. But full moon ha s been around for many moons and will stay here for many rooms.

On recommendation from my buddy I stopped by for dinner during my work day. They a had nice long counter/display area with a myriad of pizza choices. There however was no plain cheese slices. I decided on a white slice and a chicken parm slice. The two slices and a bottle of seltzer were over $13. Not a bargain. We didn't eat there, so it was boxed up. About 10 min later the pizza was barely warm. The slices were a nice size. The white was delicious. The cheese and fresh tomatoes were really tasty and definitely hit the spot. The chicken slice was ok at best. Definitely repeated on me all night long. The food was ok, the place was nice, but it's pricey.

I stopped by here today since I was in the neighborhood, the pizza was perfecto. The cheese was nice and gooey and melty, the bottom nice and crispy. The size was very large and very good. Will definitely be back to again!
