Tucked into the stylish rhythm of Chelsea, the new Fumo location is a refined yet inviting destination for anyone who appreciates exceptional food in a beautifully designed space. The restaurant retains its signature aesthetic; rough and amorphous white brick walls, lush green plants, gold accent metal details and glowing white globe lights; all combining to create an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and effortlessly sophisticated.
But let’s talk about the star of the show: the food. Fumo’s menu continues to deliver hits, starting with their iconic brick oven pizzas. I keep coming back for the Vodka Sauce Pizza, creamy and rich, especially with added grilled chicken. The Roni Pizza is a meat lover’s dream, and the Fumo Burger is stacked, juicy, and satisfying. And don’t overlook their pastas; every dish is thoughtfully prepared and deeply comforting.
If you’re starting with appetizers, you can not miss the Spicy Calamari; perfect texture , perfectly seasoned, and with just the right kick. But the true standout for me was their Tuna Tartare on the special menu; served on a bed of cucumber, with avocado, and red pepper, with a gentle heat that elevates every bite. It’s refreshing, vibrant, and absolutely addictive.
What makes Fumo Chelsea even more special is the warmth of the experience. The owners greet every guest like family; true to Italian hospitality and it shows in the energy of the space.
And of course, the cocktails. Their happy hour is a must, especially for fans of the Fumo Aperol Spritz. They also serve a fantastic wine selection and several original cocktails; don’t leave without trying the Lorenzo’s Aperol Spritz, Lorenzo’s Gin & Atonic, or the romantic Lorenzo’s Love Spritz.
Whether you’re a New Yorker or just passing through, make sure Fumo Chelsea or any of their other locations is on your list. Come for the food, stay for the vibe, and leave with a new favorite spot. Your taste buds will thank you.
