An old-guard AYCE spot that keeps things simple—brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi with steady service and a relaxed pace. A practical pick when you want straightforward KBBQ without the scene.

This price is unbeatable definitely going again when I'm in Torrance. Service was a bit slow but it was busy when I went so it's understandable. At the time I am posting this it was 23$ for ayce

Great service. Good food. Fun very hands on. Cooking your food is rewarding you can order different meats 🍖. They have soju and Terra as well. Ayce baby!

The food is pretty delicious. It is also more interesting that you will cook the meat yourself on the built-in table grill. Prices are expensive, you will pay $24 for a serving of barbecue meat. Also, if you sit together at a large table and people sit down to you, then a plastic transparent partition will be placed between you, which does not help at all. The waiter rarely comes to the table. But in general, this place is always crowded, the interior is simple, the food is delicious although expensive. However, you get a lot of free sides as rice, kimchi, salad and many other dishes. I recommend!

This is definitely my favorite place of all times. They closed like a whole year during pandemic and we missed them so much but now they are back and improved. I’ve been coming here since 2015 and just love it. Servers really take care of you but Jose is the best! Jose makes us feel like home ☺️ so much that my son just now was like “I wish I could give them a five star review, if only I had Yelp” 😂 well here is your five star review and you have Dominick to thank for 👌

The place is my favorite but that Asian lady who is always angry pisses me off and I make sure to avoid her. She is rude as heck and always seems annoyed. Food is good tho !

First of all, this restaurant underwent a renovation and change of management which has made this place amazing now. The prior low reviews are all from 4-6 years ago. Come here for an amazing all you can eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ experience. The menu is limited to 6 items (beef brisket, beef belly, pork belly, beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, and spicy pork bulgogi). By having a small menu, they can keep prices very low (only $21.99 for a buffet as of March 2022)! The service was the first thing I noticed was exception. The servers checked on us several times and keep food flowing, banchan (side dishes) replenished, and waters topped off. The side dishes you can get are rice, rice noodle wraps, radish wraps, potato in a sweet sesame sauce, kimchi, spicy cucumber, and salad. We got the beef brisket, pork belly, and beef belly. The beef dishes were excellent. The meat was really tender and fresh, and the 3 dipping sauces of a sweet sauce, a spicy sambar, and a salt and sesame oil paired well with the beef. The meat had a good amount of fat on them as well which made it juicy. The pork belly was thick and so fatty that it melted in your mouth when you would eat it. Overall, this is an excellent, 5-star restaurant that has great service, great food, and a great price.

Google
The online menu said $21.99 in person they said someone hasn't updated it(3yrs old). The actual price is $25.99 per person. They would not leave the hot sauce bottle🙄, we had to keep asking for more. No red pepper paste only sriracha sauce, cheap salt. Would not recommend. Very bright lights and too loud music and kind of ghetto looking place. I've been to a lot of KBBQ spots all over SoCal, this is not the one. With taxes and tip I paid $70, what a waste of time and money.

We were so sad when Furusato was closed at the beginning of the pandemic so super excited to find out it reopened! However, the receipt states that the store is "Ko Hyang Gal Bi" so not sure if there's a ownership change but they kept the Furusato name on the store since that's what the locals know it as..? Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - most of their dishes would benefit from thinner and more consistent slices. Our order of beef brisket had some that were super chewy just because the slice was thicker and required longer cooking time than others. The beef belly was fairly consistent as was the pork belly. The galbi beef tasted mostly of soy sauce and oil but was missing the sweetness from the brown sugar. Both the rice paper and radish paper were oddly thick. The kimchi wasn't marinated enough Ambience: 5/5 - the remodel of the store did wonders and the grills have been updated as well for hotter fires Service: 5/5 - all the servers are really nice and attentive. They stop by to check on us as they walk past Value for price: 1/5 - while the price has almost doubled, the meat quality has not improved. Unfortunately, this was our favorite cheap BBQ place previously but now it doesn't meet the quality nor price expectations anymore :(

Yelp
I have not been here since high school.... Back when they would chase you out for not tipping. Fast forward 11 years, my best friend and I decided to run it back... and I would have to say... WOW!!!!! It was great!!!! The food was hitting, the service was great. If I were Commodus from the Gladiator (2000) movie, I would give this place a thumbs up!!! I would definitely go again. As I told my friend, I think we found the spot. Shout out to our server, Sam. They should name him, Sam the Man!!!

Yelp
I haven't been to Furusato ofr years! The last time I was here Furusato still offered a tiered menu, a few more banchan options, the service was chaotic because of that ONE server that others complained about. I recently moved back to the area and decided to give my local Korean BBQ a shot. The booths are gone and have been replaced with chairs. The 4 tops that are in the left-side dining room still have the plastic dividers up (which I really appreciate) even when the other half gets sat it still feels private. I did wish that Furusato still had their tiered menu. My friend and I didn't eat that much of the meat options so we would have been fine with the three meats from the old menu options. But I digress, the price $25.99 is not bad at all. It's still AYCE and that includes the rice paper, rice bowls, salad, and banchans. The meats we got: brisket, beef, bul go gi, and the thin-sliced pork belly were so good! The bul go gi flavor was sweet but not sugary. And the service was exceptional!. I've thrown away my receipt at this point but the young lady who was our server on Friday, August 22, 2025 was so polite, attentive (without being smothering), and just overall friendly. I'm glad I was finally able to pop into Furusato. Yes, it has changed, the menu is different, no more booths, but the food and service were great! Can't wait to come back!! And I was too busy eating to take pictures.

Yelp
We've been going to this restaurant since my kids were little. Nothing beats the service of the everyone in this restaurant. Special mention to Sam, thank you for always welcoming my family. Brisket and pork belly are our favorites! The brisket sauce is so unique and a must have. It's a hidden gem and a must try whenever you're around the area. Parking available in the front and back of the place. 5-5-2025

Yelp
What draws patrons to Furusato Korean Barbecue is its competitive pricing, beverage selection, and satisfying cuisine. The protein offerings are of standard quality yet notably fresh, while the banchan (side dishes) selection, though limited, provides an adequate complement to the meal. 3.5 rating

Yelp
We visiting on a Saturday night. We got a table quick, service was quick, and menu is super simple which is nice sometimes. Tables are separated by clear screens between groups (a little weird but also easier since they only have big tables). Meat quality was fine and quantity was a lot for 2 people. We tried beef brisket, spicy chicken, bulgogi, and beef belly. We loved the beef belly and the spicy chicken. Plus can't beat the price!
google avatar

Yelp
Furusato is a "bare bones" yet affordable ayce KBBQ spot. It hits the spot, but limited variety. But for the price point, it's hard to complain. The tables and building are always nice and clean, workers are friendly. I will say the spicy bulgogi is not very spicy, on our last visit a worker told us they had to make it less spicy, it was our favorite so it was sad to see it had changed. When other kbbq spots have hour long waits we always end up here with little to no wait

Yelp
We came for a late lunch on a weekend and were seated very quickly. The space is clean and pretty big - they have tables that seat 6 people. They gave some side dishes like rice paper, radish wraps, salad, kimchi, cucumbers, and marinated potatoes. When we ordered our meat, we were able to order rice bowls as well. This is a no frills type of place, which we were okay with because the price was fair and all we really wanted to eat was meat. Their meat cuts were pretty good - the bulgogi cut was different than what we are usually used to, but the flavor was there. They don't have extra sides like corn cheese and they didn't come by our table to help us cook/cut the meats like some other places might do, so if you're expecting that, try somewhere else. However they did return to our table pretty quickly to see if we wanted to order another round of meat, which I really liked. Overall, we had a good experience and would return! There's a small parking lot but you can probably find street parking as well.

Yelp
My little hole in the wall... its simple. And efficient. Our waiter knows what my husband and i order. He just double checks and brings out the meats. Love the potatoes and fresh chili cucumbers. It gets pretty busy and feels like they're understaffed, but we always leave full and satisfied. Been coming here since like 2012.
google avatar

Haley L.

Yelp
The food was delicious and service was fast! I particularly enjoyed the Spicy Pork Bul-Go-Gi and Beef Brisket. Lupe was a stellar server by being attentive to all the tables on our side. From the outside the place looks small, but once you enter there is dining available on two sides of the building and all tables were full!
google avatar

Yelp
This is my home KBBQ spot and is the best in LA! Such a comforting place for me. I love the tasty meat! Always fresh and steaming rice. Best kimchi cucumbers! A must try
google avatar

MR F.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has such a low rating. We've always had a good experience here, and it's never been too crowded. It's also the most affordable ayce kbbq in the area. They do have a more limited selection of meats, but they have our faves (thin sliced pork belly, brisket). They also don't have as many banchan or sides, but their kimchi is my absolute fave. Hits the spot!

Yelp
I came here 2hrs before they closed on a Thursday. It was pretty slow. The service was very quick! Their lunch and dinner hour are the same. I think it was $23.99 for like 8 items. The quality of the items was the majority good except for one of the beef items. It was mostly fat. The portions were big. I didn't have to keep ordering the same items. Each item was like a triple portion. That's super good! The parking is okay. They only have like 5-7 spaces. The rest is street parking. They do not have flavor soju. The old lady server kept messing with the grill temperature. It was getting annoying after 6th time.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is really good! Price is fair. But the negative attitude from these servers is hilarious. I didn't wanna ask for anything else after the 2nd interaction with the short hair shoulder asian lady. She ignored our calls and we barely interacted with her two times. I asked her for rice and she says "finish your bowl first" lol anyways The place is semi full for a Sunday and it seems like she's by herself serving so it could be that. Either way I won't come back but hey! Try it out if you're in a rush. Food good and service sucks. Everyone from our table got same treatment from the lady and we just wanted to finish our food and leave. All you can eat my azz.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the portion sizes are so good. The staff were very quick and kind my waiter made sure I was having a good time. The parking is really bad tho there isn't much but you can find some on the street.

Daisy G.

Yelp
The food is amazing along with the service. The price is pretty affordable for all you can eat. The establishment is also very clean and the staff is very kind.

Jose H.

Yelp
Worst Korean bbq food hands down. Even with the low prices I still consider it overpriced, the value of the food is so poor. The beef bul-go-gi was so dry and the flavor was non existent. The sides are very limited. And not to mention the Sapporo beer which was completely un refreshing. Tried the experience but I will not be returning.

Yelp
I've been going to this KBBQ place for many years & they always have the best service. All of the workers are very welcoming. The food is great & fairly priced! I do miss the old price but I understand why it would go up these days. The new renovation looks great, very clean & has a modern look.

Raquel A.

Yelp
First time here and it was very enjoyable! Lupe was very attentive. There was another lady that was very hands on. Don't know if it was the owner. I will be returning. My only complaint is the limited parking.

Desiree R.

Yelp
I used to like this place but our last visit the meat was not so good! It was very hard to chew. The service was good and our waiter but other than that we won't be coming back here!

Yasmin F.

Yelp
i am in so much pain right now , i was give a very sticky/smelly bowl of rice smelled so bad but didnt stop to think that i was given a very old smelly bowl of rice had about 4 spoons of it and couldn't take it anymore and got sick of it plsss make sure to smell your rice or any food before eating it never coming back on my way to the emergency room
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and excellent quality of meat- and boy do they give you your moneys worth here. The sides they give you are steam rice, rice paper, salad, potato, kimchi, and cucumber, with sesame salt, sweet hot sauce, and brisket sauce. The restaurant also has great ventilation and you don't really leave here smelling like smoke. Parking right in the front. For 2 people during lunch On a Sunday was !60 with tip and 2 sodas. I definitely recommend coming here if you're hungry and want your meat lol.

Yelp
Furasato is an All You Can Eat Korean barbecue restaurant in Gardena. They have their own private parking lot, however it is very small and difficult to get parking there at times. There is parking on the street or in the back of the restaurant. Salad and a variety of ban Chan is also included. They do not have too many meat options, and their cut of meat can be on the leaner side at times, but definitely worth the price. The people who work there are kind, if you're looking for all you can eat kbbq check out furasato!

Yelp
Great value and service. Also accepts solo dine ins too! Been going here to this location for years. If you want a craving quencher, swing by
google avatar

Yelp
The meat is pretty tasteless and they don't offer a lot of cuts. Also there isn't any appetizer besides the usual banchan with a few dishes still missing. So no dumplings, popcorn chicken etc. Service was ok. I probably won't be returning due to the details mentioned above and also because before COVID I would come because it was cheap, close to me and the food was more decent. But with the drop in quality and higher prices I most likely won't be returning.

Yelp
The husband and I went there to eat, and after a few hours, we started to get stomach aches. The next thing you know, we are vomiting and not feeling well.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a very convenient location. I like how the menu is simple with good ayce price. Good for a quick meal. We usually get half portion of each dish so we can possibly try out all items and we don't want to waste food.

Michael K.

Yelp
Food mediocre. Super tough, not flavorful, not a lot of options, banchan minimal. From past reviews, majority complain about a certain server; I can see why. Not personable, pushy, a bit rude. I understand the piece is affordable but I'd pay more for more options.
google avatar

Lance R.

Yelp
I attached a screenshot, but, maybe I need to elaborate a bit. Pre covid, I would've given them 5 stars. Post covid...I have to give them a 4. The quality of the beef brisket they've been serving is either from a different supplier, or they've gone the cheaper route and bought something else. The brisket they serve now is definitely a more fattier cut, and when cooked, it's mostly fat. Not that it's something terrible, just something that is definitely obvious to any KBBQ eater lol. You can go to any other KBBQ spots in a 20 mile radius...the brisket served here is mostly fat
google avatar

N. Danny S.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was able to be seated right away. The parking lot is small, only fits 10 cars or so. I got a spot but I can image that being a problem during dinner time or on weekends. For just over $20 for all you can eat its on the cheaper end of things which is nice, but expectations should match. I think they deliver on their price point. Nothing spectacular but if you're coming here your primary motivation is probably price, so it hits.

Yelp
My family and I have eaten at Furusato for over a decade. There have been a lot of changes over the years. During C19 we were sad to see it close. But when they reopened we were excited to eat there again. We go often and the service depends on your server. Today was different because we had a larger group (5) and although it was 5 people our bill had auto gratuity which we paid. when it was time to sign there was space for an additional gratuity as this was just a regular merchant/customer copy receipt and not the itemized one that they brought initially. I did not tip additional to the auto gratuity that was already included in our bill. Needless to say, the older woman who was serving us did not like that as she picked it up while we were finishing and was visibly upset. As we were walking out saying goodbye she ignored us, we said thank you for your service, she turned her back. She's done this many times before but considering my party of 5 had a check of $170 dollars with 15% gratuity. Years ago she had ran after our group when I tipped in cash and not in the signed slip receipt. This is weird and it makes me not want to return every time she does that. The older lady is the one who does that. She had been way better after the pandemic but lately her attitude has started slipping again as it was before. I hope this changes because considering the nearby AYCE places; prices are comparable with better service at other places when your servers do that. I've never had any attitude or issue with the other servers at furusato.

Yelp
First time i felt love was here. Great food, good service and price is unmatched. Thank you for everything!!!!

Yelp
always good service can't complain. Beef brisket is my favorite. the inside was remodeled looks spacious and modern.
google avatar

Angie R.

Yelp
I would come here all the time prior to the pandemic. I loved the value/ price ratio that was given prior to the pandemic. Due to inflation I understand why they had to raise the prices. However, the prices were not the only things that have been changed about this place. From the waiting on tables to the newly remodeled inside it had a major face lift, but didn't keep the quality of product the same. Many of the brisket I had was extremely chewy due to having to cook it longer. The beef bulgogi was not as consistent as the prior times I had ordered it. It seems as though they have changed the marinated in one way or another. It did not have the same flavor profile in which case was not. It is not this cheap hidden local spot anymore. With the higher prices and lack of flavor it is not going to be the same until something gets fixed. Many of the regulars that would go are probably going to start going elsewhere to find a place that was like furusato prior to the pandemic.

Yelp
Great quality meat and awesome service. Simple interior, the food speaks for itself. I always have a great experience dining here. Parking lot is small but theres lots of street parking. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Visited with a couple of friends as this was a cheaper Korean bbq option. We were seated right away, which was awesome! However, from the point of being seated is where I would say things started to go a tad bit awry. Our server, whose name I did not catch, seemed to be in a rush, which made us feel rushed. We hadn't even sat down properly or had water before we were being constantly asked if we were ready to order...(no, we were not, lol...we just sat down). Also, it got very warm fairly quickly. I don't think there was much air circulation going on, so you can smell smoke here and there. We eventually just ordered beef brisket, beef bulgogi, and chicken bulgogi. Menu options are definitely limited compared to a lot of KBBQ places, but alas, that's fine. The beef brisket was plain not gonna lie. It didn't really have any flavor/seasoning. However, the beef bulgogi was really good! Nice and juicy and had a lot of flavor. Chicken bulgogi was good too, however, I don't think it was as good as the beef one. Now, one thing that really made me upset was when I got the bill and put my card down to be processed. I received the merchant and customer copy. As per the usual, you put the tip on the merchant copy and take the customer copy. However, typical server etiquette/rules (albeit an unofficial rule) is to collect the merchant copy after guests leave; which our server did not do. My friends and I were getting up and finishing up our waters and all to leave the establishment and our server took the bill. She looked at my friends and I with a puzzled and questionable look. Overall, could've been better.

Yelp
We've been coming here for more than 2 years Love how it's; local, great price, & amazing quality! Definitely a place for a quick bite -- but AMAZING services & food Never disappoints! The staff is great! :)

Yelp
I have been eating here since 2009. I love their brisket sauce sooo bad! The menu changed a lot through the years and the service is also good. Place looks about the same since then.
google avatar

Yelp
It was good. I went here with my company. The place was bright and clean. The staff were respectful.
google avatar

Jocelyne V.

Yelp
This place was horrible, to start the old lady waiter was super rude with attitude, the meat SUCKS! It has nooo flavor at all especially the chicken it was so bland. Our table burner wasn't even heating up for a while. Place also doesn't give a lot of side option or meat option which sucks. Wouldn't recommend for the price you pay and so limited
google avatar

Kayanne G.

Yelp
It had been about 10 years since I had been back, so I thought it might be fun to give it a try and see what's changed. The service was typical, and the place felt as cramped as it used to be. I was surprised to see that the prices have now doubled, but disappointed to find out that the menu is basically the same. I could tack on a couple more dollars for quadruple the variety at another restaurant, so I don't know why they felt like doubling the price and keeping the same small menu was logical. The brisket, dry. Beef belly, too fatty and not enough meat. How? How did they justify doubling the price for the same thing they've always done. Nothing impressive and the weird diagonal dividers was so weird. Instead of using their revenue to buy proper tables to give parties their own respective spaces, they bought cheap dividers. The only thing that they have that is unique to them is the marinated potatoes, but it isn't as good as it used to be. Very little makes sense here.

Yelp
Only the best kbbq place ever, the meats and sides are all delicious! The service and environment is great.

Yelp
So worth the price and the food was amazing. Alex deserves 5 stars for his service we will be personally requesting him as our server every time we come back

Yelp
They are OPEN!!! I called them today and this is what I was able to gather: ReOpened on Dec 15. AYCE $21.99 with different price levels for kids. They do not reservations. WALK-IN only. OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, 11AM - 9PM
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
This place has revamped from its previous look. It's covid safe they have barrier for a smaller group and bigger seating for bigger groups. They did add a different type of meat which is good. Now they have a single price menu at $21.99 which is not bad considering the type of meat they have. It was nice to be greeted by the previous employees. I'm so happy this place is open again.
google avatar

Renae M.

Yelp
I used to love this place pre-pandemic, it was my fave AYCE Korean BBQ place. However, I'm extremely disappointed in their very low drink options. Besides beer, they only offer Coke, Sprite & "filtered water". I drank the water with my meal because I do not drink alcohol nor soda & I just couldn't enjoy my food as I used to. Even though they say the water is filtered, it tastes as if it is filtered tap water. I really wish they had another option. I really recommend this business adds another option besides soda, such as Vitamin water, tea, Snapple, or lemonade - anything, but soda. I give the 2nd star because besides the drinks, I do enjoy the food. I love the spicy marinated meats. I just really can't enjoy it with the drinks they offer. The prices did go up, but that is expected after Covid. Everything has gone up. But you can get more bang for your buck at GEN in Torrance with more options, better drinks & better service.

Yelp
I can't believe some of the negative reviews on here. It's $23.99 ayce! What do you want for that price???!!! Most ayce Korean bbq spots are over $30 now. Ive been coming here for years. I think when I started eating here a million years ago it was ridiculously cheap like $8.99. Even before the pandemic it was like $13.99. The wait on a Friday night would be insane back then. People everywhere. Now there's like no wait on weekdays. It's super easy. In the old days there were like only three meat choices and you could get Arizona ice tea to drink back then. I would drive all the way from Santa Monica to eat here. Since the pandemic they really cleaned the place up. They re did the bathrooms, added center dividers to the tables. They added more meat choices. Very simple menu. Beef brisket, pork belly, beef belly, chicken bulgogi and pork bulgogi. The portions seem to be larger and higher quality now. More drink choices including Soju. I like it better now because they raised the prices weeding out the crowds. The parking is painless. They have their own lot or you can park on the street. It's real low key compared to Koreatown or Gen in Torrance. We had dinner there tonight and it was totally fun. My buddy came from K town and he met me there. He totally dug it. This is my local spot!
