Authentic Korean BBQ with charcoal grills & tableside cooking
"Perfect if you like:CoteCote and Gabose do not have a lot in common other than food. Cote is a special occasion restaurant full of Miamians in designer labels. Gabose is a casual Lauderhill strip mall spot. And yet, you’ll find both restaurants equally as packed on a Saturday night because of the one thing they do share in common: Korean barbecue. If you love watching meat sizzle away on a grill in the middle of your table, Gabose delivers. And while Cote is focused on beef, Gabose has other options to throw on that grill, like tiger shrimp and baby octopus." - Ryan Pfeffer, Mariana Trabanino
"Miami has so few Korean options that we made an entire guide to Korean restaurants worth driving out of Miami for. And Gabose is the best place in South Florida to do the cooking yourself on a little charcoal grill in the center of the table. That’s why there could be an hour-plus wait here on weekends (and they don’t take reservations). But it’s worth it to watch marinated short rib, thin-as-paper beef tongue, and spicy baby octopus turn into crispy deliciousness before your eyes. The marinades here are so tasty that even the nearly blackened pieces you forgot about for 10 minutes still taste good." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"Gabose is regularly filled with local chefs feasting on big spreads of Korean barbecue on their days off. This Sunrise staple has been a favorite amongst those in the know for years, offering a diverse list of Korean gabose (appetizers) such as fresh oysters lightly floured and pan-fried in egg wash or beef short rib tartare, made here with Asian pear, raw egg yolk, and pine nuts. There are also grill-in-the-table options and a myriad of rice dishes, soups, stews, and excellent air-fried short rib and beef jerky accompanied by nearly a dozen bowls of banchan served with every entree." - Juliana Accioly

The huge menu also has dishes the restaurant cooks, and there are non-grill tables—but hold out for one of those grills. You can always kill time at Gabose Pocha, their sister restaurant next door, which is less about the food and more about soju and karaoke." - ryan pfeffer
