The Best Date Night Restaurants In Mexico City - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"Galea is quietly stunning, without even trying. Although the frutti di mare panzerotti are incredible, as is the rest of the Italian-ish menu, it’s not packed (yet), so you might just snag a quiet table just walking in most of the time. The space feels airy and uncluttered with wooden benches and plants all over, making it the perfect setting for a well-executed, no-pressure dinner. And if things don’t go as planned, your credit card won’t be feeling the burn either." - guillaume guevara

Galea - Review - Roma - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"This cozy corner spot is run by two NYC-trained chefs who blend young energy in the kitchen with Italian-Mediterranean flavors on a menu that changes often. Rafa, the kitchen mastermind, serves up a decadent duck cappellacci with creamy eggplant purée that’s worth your time. And Michelle, the pastry mastermind, makes some of the best desserts in the city—her torta al formaggio with roasted marshmallow and salty caramel is a rich and sticky delight. They often take walk-ins, but it’s better to arrive with a reservation. RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE" - Guillaume Guevara

"This corner charmer boasts a terrace out front, while inside, the use of wood keeps things firmly planted between the old and new worlds. There is an amiable, casual vibe to Galea, and with prices that don't break the bank, it's a favorite among locals. The focused Italian menu is concise but manages to present a varied selection all the same. Be sure to check the dishes of the day (and note the crudo specials, too) and always order a pasta. In fact, all of the pasta dishes can be made as half portions if you're tempted to try more than one. Focaccia made in-house starts things off, then a plate of gnochetti with ragu de mariscos feeds the soul. Fish of the day in a creamy beurre blanc is a hit, but save room for the panna cotta, given a bit of a Mexican slant here." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent excellent food. Everything I tasted was phenomenal. The location is great. It was a little bit noisy with the music but other than that I highly recommend eating here and spending some time enjoying the vibe. A salad was to die for the fish was melt in your mouth and I had a squid that was just too good to be true.

Simply put, Galea knows how to cook and their service is just as impressive. The menu evolves with the seasons and it never misses. I’ve had pasta all over the world and this place ranks right up there with the best of them. As someone who usually leans toward meat-heavy dishes, the fact that I crave their meatless pastas says everything about their mastery of flavor. And don’t skip dessert — it is phenomenal. Chef’s kiss.

Lovely restaurant with quite interesting food. Octopus appetizer was excellent, and a lot of flavors went very well together. For the main, I got the duck, with beet tagliatelle. Duck itself was good, but tagliatelle was not pasta but simply shaved beets, which were a bit too hard. Service is excellent, if I lived in Mexico city I'd definitely give it another try and go for an actual pasta there.

If you’re looking for really good Italian food in Mexico City, go here. Highly recommend all their pastas dishes (we tried 3 of them). Totally reasonable prices and such a vibe here!

Some of the best pasta we ever had. The Picaña was a bit tough and chewy although it was cooked well. The Garganelli, The Tagliatelle, and the Rotolo were all absolutely incredible.

Found this place on Michelin Guide as bib gourmand. It is WRONG! This place must have a star and I sincerely wish they got it ASAP. Great and cozy atmosphere, doesn’t matter where you are sitting outside or in. Menu is not very long, however with three specials you definitely have a choice. Food arrives promptly, beautifully arranged and super tasty! Most of the pastas - they all made in house - you can get half size. That our only mistake, we didn’t do it. If we ever back in Mexico City we’ll be back! First thing after arrival. And second! P.S. Sorry, cut my review short! My wife ordered canoly and I must tell you that was even better than all we ate before!

cozy place with quality service. However, the long serving of dishes (we waited 40 minutes for pasta). And if I give a solid five for the place, then only 4 points for the food. The tartare was disappointing, since you can't feel the taste of meat at all, everything is covered by the sour taste of capers and mustard. The mushroom pasta is delicious, but the ravioli are also not up to par. The complimentary chocolate candies are very tasty, for which I thank the establishment.

A Feast for All the Senses From the moment we walked in, it was clear this restaurant belongs in Michelin’s spotlight. The service was seamless—warm, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable without ever feeling intrusive. Each dish was a masterpiece: a daring yet perfectly balanced mix of flavors, where every bite revealed layers of creativity and skill. The atmosphere tied it all together—soft, golden lighting and a curated playlist that set a vibrant yet relaxed mood. Whether it was the subtle bassline or the gentle clink of glasses, everything felt perfectly in sync. This is more than just dining; it’s an experience where culinary artistry meets impeccable hospitality. An unforgettable evening that sets a new standard for fine dining.
