Gino e Toto Sorbillo

Does GREAT pizza need the PERFECT atmosphere? It was the first pizzeria we went to in Napoli during our trip and we enjoyed all the pizzas we tried - Margherita, Antonio and Umberto. The dough was of an outstanding quality and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The Antonio pizza (with anchovies) stood out in particular. To drink we had the white wine of the house which complemented the pizza well. Apart from the pizza, the place itself is quite big and overall nice, but has more of a chain atmosphere, especially compared with other pizzerias we visited later in the city.

After arriving we gave our names to the lady at the door and they called us in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was not overly crowded or noisy. The pizza was exceptionally tasty. But I’m yet to try my second one so I can give a better opinion 😅 the prices were also surprisingly good for such a famous and central place. The service could’ve been a bit more friendly to match the high quality of the food but I guess nothing is ever perfect. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I’ll be visiting again.

Literally the best place on earth to get a pizza. I went to Napoli this summer and it was the best food on my whole trip. It was pretty busy when we got there around lunch and we didn’t have time to dine inside so we took our pizzas to go and ate them in a park. The pizzas were absolutely amazing and would highly recommend. If you are planning to dine in make sure you book a reservation in advanced!

The best pizza in the world!! I love marinara pizza, so this was the perfect pizzeria! It was so incredibly delicious!! The pizza was simply divine! I didn't realize you could still get such an incredibly delicious pizza for so little money these days. Plus, there were so many pizzas to choose from, two whole pages full. Tip: You should definitely order a simple pizza in Naples, as they're the best there. (My suggestion is the Margherita and the Marinara)

We luvluckuvvvvvvvv this place- just as anazing as it was 3 years ago- take their local Prosecco, it's fabulos! We've tried their Margherita, Diabola and Tuna and onion- all impeccable, sunshine and stars bursting in your mouth! The atmosphere is something else- you can see people of different wlages and paths of life- happy with their food. The place ALWAYS has a line, but it moves fast and is TOTALLYYYYT worth the visit. Thank you for being consistent in the quality of food and service you provide throughout the years! The waiting staff- amazingly amiable, helpful and supernice. They make this place SPECIAL, we'll be back! 🤍

We tried two famous pizzerias before coming to Gino e Toto Sorbillo: 50 Kalo and Starita, in that order. I was a bit prejudiced, since Gino e Toto Sorbillo is located in a very central area and is extremely well known. I assumed it wouldn’t be any better than the previous two. I was wrong. We tried one red base (Margheritta Bufala DOP) and one white base (Nonna Carolina), and both were excellent, actually the best pizzas we ate in Napoli. Highly recommended. The atmosphere was great as well.

WOW!! What else can I say other than this is the best pizza in the world, and that's not a hyperbole. I would come back to Italy just to eat this pizza again. They say Napoli is the birthplace of pizza.. well let me tell you. After eating at about 20 different pizzerias in Napoli, not all pizza in Napoli is the same. And none comes close to Gino! If I lived in Napoli, I would be here every single day. Do yourself a favor and try it, you won't regret it.

On Sunday we spent an hour and a half waiting in line to eat inside. The hostess at the entrance takes down your name and party size, and calls you when a table becomes available. The wait is absolutely worth it — this is the best pizza in the world.

Ambiance: speaking of Sorbillio family, you'll be shocked of how many children and grand children this family tree holds, there're three Sorbillio restaurants on the same street, I marked in the related photos as Gino/Original (dine-in long waiting lines), Fast (seems for takeout), and Corner (by the location, and usually easier to be seated), my review is mainly based on the corner restaurant Service: very friendly and get seated after a short waiting time, patient with questions and provided useful suggestions Food & Drink: specialized menu for pizza NUUJA - **** Calabrian nduja hot pork sauce, sausage, buffalo stracciata cheese, fresh ingredients, recommend ZUCCA E SPECK - ***** Pumpkins'cream, smoked burrata cheese 125gr, speck, chilli pepper threads, unique flavors, highly recommend RIAR ALE - **** Golden Ale with white foam, golden colour, fruity aromas on the nose and an unconventional earthiness given by the friarielli, typical neapolitan vegetable, easy to drink, recommend Price: premium quality and affordable prices, expect €20 per person for a very satisfying meal

Gino e Toto Sorbillo has more modern pizzas, with creative topping combinations. Hearing about the lines, I had expectations for this place, but the restaurant was nearly empty when we went. We ordered two pizzas, the Nduja (Nduja sausage + a plain sausage) pizza and the Blue Cheese (prosciutto + blue cheese + fig jam) pizza. To be honest, I still prefer the traditional Margherita pizza. The two sausages were good individually, but I'm not sure they worked well together, because the Nduja one was a lot spicier and overpowered the other sausage. It would have been better if only Nduja sausage was used, and used sparingly. The combination of prosciutto + blue cheese + fig jam sounded cool, but a milder cheese like Pecorino would have paired better with the salty prosciutto. So I'm not sure if their "innovative" flavor combinations worked (1 star off). Moving onto their dough, they mentioned that their dough recipe uses high hydration. No wonder the dough was quite soggy for both pizzas (1 star off). The center of the pizza was like a tomato-cheese-bread soup. With so many different pizza options in Napoli, I am shocked this place is a favorite.

Really famous pizzas shop with lines most of the day. I came in late and was seated right away. Fairly large space inside, nothing special about interior. The waiters do speak English which is nice. I ended up with Diavlo pizza which was really good. However wasn't as mind blowing as I expected given the hype. Didn't enjoy their house red. Overall really good pizza and would recommend but I had better in the city.

Absolutely incredible. Fabulous pizza - some of the best I've ever had in my life. Definitely get the buffalo mozzarella pizza. Service was great and the ambiance was true Neapolitan vibes. We loved it here.

This was my reason for coming to Napoli, the birthplace of pizza! So you can imagine that I had very high expectations! We came early, as we were there a few minutes after open time. They sat us upstairs as downstairs was packed already. The place is nice, and modern with Italian charm and character. We were promptly served by our server, who brought us our drinks and gave us recommendations. I went for the original, Margherita with Bufala cheese and we also ordered the Rodolfo. I have no words to describe how good the pizzas were! Outstanding!! I don't know if is the quality of the product but the San Marzano tomatoes and the buffalo cheese were out of this world! And the dough...sooooo insanely good! Coming to Napoli just to try the pizza is completely worth it! Oh, and our waiter was so nice! He brought us limoncello and babà as dessert so we could try it out. Overall, the best pizza I ever had!

A little easier to get in than other places but just as good if not better. We ended up coming here twice. First visit was for the classic pizzas - the margarita and the marinara. Super thin crust on the bottom with the light and fluffy edges. The sauce was sweet from the local San Marzano tomatoes. This is definitely knife and fork pizza. I know a lot of Americans dont like this kind of pizza but it was really spectacular! The second time we tried the anchovy pie (I believe it was the Antonio) and a pie designated Slow Food with a spicy salami and goat cheese. I wish I could remember what that was called but regardless, excellent. If you go to Naples, put this on your list. You wont regret it.

To not have a 5 star review from me for a Naples Pizzeria is telling. In the US, this would be a 5-star all day. However, compared to some of the other top pizza places in Naples, this fell just a little short. Our favorite of all time, in Naples or anywhere, is Pizzaria Antica de Michele ... which is 3 blocks away from this. We went there an hour and ten minutes before they closed and they had already stopped taking new customers. Imagine that! We were so bummed but decided to speed walk over to Gino e Sorbillo, which closes an hour later. Located in a somewhat grimy and packed ally, there were several storefronts with Sorbillo on the front, which confused us. Luckily, our walking directions led us past the other Sorbillo locations (not sure what they were) and to the real deal. You'll see a big crowd of mostly teens in front. There were a lot of bachelorette parties. At the doorway, there is a woman at a table who will take your name for a spot. When your table is ready, you will be called over a very unclear loudspeaker, so you (might) know that your table is ready. Across the street are bars, which allow you to have a drink outside while you wait for your name to be called. This system is SO much better than the utter shit show chaos of De Michele! While I dream about their pizza, I have nightmares about their line system. Sorbillo is somewhat more civilized. We waited about 30 minutes until our name was called at 10:00 p.m. on a weekend night. This place is utterly huge inside, so there is more seating than you'd think, which keeps the line moving fast. This feels more restaurant-y than De Michele, which feels more cafeteria-like. Oddly, we preferred De Michele's less cozy interior. Our waiter at Sorbillo was much more lively and personable than others ... he had us laughing and feeling at home. The menu is very long and somewhat confusing ... a lot of the other famous pizza places have 2 or 3 options only. This place is more like what you'd find in the US in that there are lots of toppings you can order on your pizza. We wanted the classic ... however there are 3 versions here: - Margherita (6 euro) - Margherita Extra (more cheese) (7 euro) - Margherita Special (bufalo mozzarella cheese) (8 euro) The waiter said that they were most famous for their bufalo mozzarella pizza ... which is the exact opposite of what De Michele says ... they recommend flor di latte (regular) mozzarella. We wanted to go as classic as possible, so we got one regular Margherita and one bufalo. As tempting as extra cheese was, because of how delicious Naples cheese is, we stuck with the originals. We honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the two pizzas when they came. While the typical wonderful sweet but slightly acidic tomato flavour was present, we didn't feel blown away by the cheese. It was less melted than other pizza places we tried ... in fact, some pieces were still a bit rubbery. The center of the pizza seemed a bit too moist, compared to other places. I understand that Neopolitan pizza should be moist in the center. I am not one of these US hicks who complains that their pizza is soggy in the center ... or that the crust is burned ... despite those being the hallmarks of real Italian pizza. However, having eaten many famous pizzas in Naples, the center was just a bit too wet for my liking. In any US restaurant, this would be utterly orgasmic pizza. In Naples, it was very good and we enjoyed it ... but it wasn't the perfect pizza experience we still dream about at Antica da Michele. Perhaps the giant cardboard photo stand up of the owner in front ... or the rapid expansion of the brand all over the world (New York, Tokyo, Miami, Los Angeles) ... sort of planted a subliminal 'tourist trap' seed in our minds from the start. Overall, you won't be dissapointed if you come here ... and its hard to complain about a giant pizza with amazing ingredients for under $10 ... less than a Dominos pizza in the US! Antica da Michele is the pizza of our dreams ... Sorbillo is a suitable backup and likely much better than you'd find at the tourist restaurants lining the allies of Naples with big signs.

There's a reason why there's a crowd outside at all times- this is really legit Neapolitan pizza. Not all pizza in Naples is made equally and, after having a mediocre experience at another pizzeria, we decided to go to Sorbillo since it was recommended by three different friends who have all lived in Naples. This spot is popular amongst the locals, other Italians, and tourists alike. Be prepared to wait in line... well, not so much a line but more like a mob. You'll have to elbow your way through to get to the hostess to put your name on the waitlist. The hostess had no estimation of a wait time and was calling names out on a microphone with really poor sound quality. It was all very chaotic. If you're tired of waiting, you can do what we did and place an order for takeout inside. Our pizzas were ready within 15 minutes and stayed nice and hot as we found a piazza to enjoy them at. The crust is nice and chewy and thin - exactly what you'd expect in a Neapolitan pizza. The cheese and tomato tastes so fresh as well. My favorite was the magherita, it's a great barometer to see if the pizza you're eating is a real Neapolitan.

Ahoy, we have come to the motherland of Pizza, Naples and one of its flagship experiences here at Gino Sorbillo Antica Pizzeria. First, avoid any confusion as you wander around Naples...there are a handful of places with "Sorbillo" in the name, including one just a few feet away from this one. Make sure you're at the one which undoubtedly has a long line, which has the word "Geno" in its sign with blue rays on the top. Odds are if you go to another "Sorbillo", the pizza will still be pretty good, as our guide told us, there really isn't bad pizza in Naples, especially not here on pizza street...but if you do want the authentic Gino Sorbillo experience, with its many many offerings on its menu (most places just have a few different pies), then this is the right place. Also, note there isn't a line...it kind of looks like there is, but if you want to dine in, head directly to the store where someone will put your name down...then go wait anywhere you want until they call you. We got there relatively early and were seated in about 10 minutes or so. The pizzas menu was extensive with many, many options, many suitable for us vegetarians. (and a vegan one too if you swing that way.) And, unfortunately, there is no menu in English (or on their website) so we had to do a lot of google translate work to wade through it...our server spoke perfect English and guided as a bit to something that was his "Summer Favorite" the Nonna Carolina, which was a pesto, cheese and tomatoes...it had a nice smoke to it and was unique. We also got the Margherita Buffala D.O.P. Pizza which he indicated was the classic one. It was our first pizza in Naples and we were surprised that it was not really a hand food but quickly learned this is how it's served throughout the city...not a mistake...pizzas are fork and knife foods...Once you get past that expectation, it's SUPER GOOD...a nice light and crispy crust and a big dollop of for di latte mozzarella in the middle...so original recipe Margherita here...just as it should be, especially if it's your first pie in Naples. We also enjoyed the wine, and then after dinner a couple of limoncellos helped us, especially during the heat wave that was happening both outside and inside. We went to a number of other pizza places in Naples during our stay. This was our first. It was really good. They had, by far, the most extensive choices for pizza toppings and variations, and we loved it. You'll always remember your first time.

Naples, the birth place of pizza, the holy grail. Among the most famous, Sorbillo pizza, a family-owned and operated restaurant which has grown and built quite a reputation over generations. I knew it was extremely popular and that there would be a line. We managed to finally make our way over a little over an hour before their closing and oh my goodness, I could not believe the massive crowd that was formed outside their doors. We got in line but after waiting 10-15 minutes with little hope of moving, we decided to hop over to their sister restaurant instead. An hour passed and we saw the same girl that was in front of us finally at the top of the line. However, we came to realize this was just the line to get your name ON THE BOOKS to enter the restaurant. Holy Cow. We tried our luck the following morning and arrived maybe 15-20 minutes after opening and WE WALKED RIGHT IN! To our delight, they led us to the rustic basement seating which filled up really fast. There's a variety of pizza options made from many locally sourced ingredients around the region. Despite the high-quality, specialty ingredients, I could not believe the affordable prices I was seeing. We ended up ordering 3 pizzas -- the classic margherita bufala DOP, pizza diavola, and mortadella bologna which was only around $25. They are thin pizzas and require a fork and spoon to eat. We took one bite and were mind blown at the explosion of flavors that was happening. I thought, "it's just pizza. How good could it be right?" Holy sh&t, this is it, guys. THIS IS IT. Hands down, the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Simple, clean ingredients, but so well prepared and just beautiful. I cannot even begin to explain how delicious this was. If ever I am in Italy again, I would totally go back to Naples again just for this. I found out that they do have other locations around the world. I'm not sure how they compare, but I highly highly recommend this location.

This place is considered one of the best pizza places in Naples. A Michelin guide restaurant with a substantial amount of wait time. Came in 15 minutes after opening time and was seated right away in their communal table. Ordered 2 types of pizza: the margherita and rodolfo as recommended by our server. The place is packed with locals and tourists alike. For a very popular place, that also has a branch in New York USA, this place was cheap. It is casual dining, we got seated at the communal table. Be there early to beat the crowd and lines

Best pizza located in Naples! Peeped out yelp and trip advisor for reviews, which led us to this pizzeria. NOTE long lines.... we waited for 1.5hrs others with larger parties 2hrs and no there isn't reservations. Quick turnaround with service and pizza is only listed on the menu. I can vouch Naples has the best pizza.

Best. Pizza. Ever!!!!! Went on a Mediterranean Royal Caribbean Cruise, which traveled from Rome to Santorini, Ephesus, Mykonos, and Naples. Naples was my last excursion, so I wanted to make the most of it. After looking for a while, I ultimately decided to go to Sorbillo for pizza. It was beyond amazing. My family ordered one Margherita pizza and one prosciutto pizza. We split the two between the four of us. The dough was amazing- thin, how I like it. The sauce was delicious, and the cheese was melty and fresh. The bill came to 27$, a VERY good price for real, fresh Neapolitan pizza. Overall, my family and I left more than satisfied and this was an experience we will never forget.

I ordered three pizzas tonight, somehow they managed to burn the crust on the bottom on two of them, and still be raw in some places, I don't understand. These pizzas were flavorless, and the worst that I've had in Naples after trying 15 different pizzas or more from various restaurants. I was a little surprised as every pizza I've had in Naples has been awesome. I've tried calling them four times since the pizzas were delivered and they don't even answer their phone. Do yourself a favor, and do not order from here.

I love pizza! I'm so happy we dined at Sorbillo during our day in Naples. We knew the restaurant would be busy. We arrived at 11:50 and the line was already long for their opening at 12. We were seated upstairs upon opening. It's a large restaurant! The menu is huge with many pizzas to choose from and it's all in Italian. We ordered the Luciano and the Diavola. I loved the crust. The pizzas are thin with the most delicious crust. It's airy and chewy. So easy to eat. Sorbillo is definitely worth a stop!

Italy is absolutely fabulous, and yes, it's true that you will want to eat your way through the country. And I'm here to tell you that you absolutely should. You will want to try all the food! Naples, Italy is where you want to go for pizza. It literally is where this gastronomic delight was invented. There are less than a handful of these original restaurants around, and Sorbillo is one of them! Diners tip: be prepared to wait in line, and I highly recommend going before they open. There is always a line and it's easiest to get in/wait in line prior to opening. Seating in the restaurant may look fairly limited, because frankly it is. They have seating in the main dining area, and then additional seating, both upstairs and downstairs. You will either be seated at a small table that is literally close to someone else, or, at one long table with others. Regardless of where you're sitting, be prepared to order when the waitress comes by, or you'll be waiting until she feels like it to stop by again to take your order. When you do place your order, order everything at once, because the restaurant from the moment they open, until they close, is beyond busy. The menu has absolutely anything, and everything to choose from, and you will want to try at all. Naples is known for the creation of the Margherita pizza, I highly recommend that you try it. It's simplistic and basic, but it's absolutely delicious. The restrooms are located downstairs, and by downstairs, it's a spiraled built in staircase of sorts, that leads you to a glorified version of an outhouse shared with both men and women. User beware. Go for the pizza, and if you are an American, please set aside your mental expectations of what Customer Service should be. The pizza tells the story, and it starts and ends with deliciousness

One of the most famous places in Naples, the birthplace of pizza. This place lived up to its reputation. There is usually very long line (about an hour) but we were able to squeeze in right before closing and and waited about 20mins. Pizzas are so reasonably priced here, around 6-8 euros. We went with the recommendations of the classic margherita bufala DOP and pizza diavola. The pizzas came out so fresh. They are thin so require fork and knife. The flavor was out of this world. Definitely worth a try! I would go back if I could!

Had high expectations as this place is really raved about on social media and even received a Michelin star. As a person who lives in Chicago and has visited New York - I have had exceptional pizza so for this being the birthplace of pizza and a famous Michelin star pizza spot I had high high expectations. I would rate the pizza here a 6/10 The wait was long - which was excepted Probably waited around 45 mins - have to stay in the area because they call out names and its really easy to miss Some positives Service was fast, really fast and and servers were very attentive Prices were very cheap The nutella dessert cup was incredible!!!! - get this desert ! The pizza itself is overhyped - its just ok It is thin crust which I love, but this one was so thin it was a soggy mess It felt like there was something missing, not sure how to explain it but if you have had Chicago or New York pizza this will probably be a let down

They have a vegan pizza listed but do not have the tofu topping. It's just the crust and a handful of cherry tomato's for more money than the meat and cheese pizzas. I verified with the waiter twice that I was vegan and wanted no cheese. He still brought it wrong. Several tables around us also received the wrong pizzas and had to get new ones. It was super hard to get a servers attention and took up to 15 minutes each time. When we went to leave another server wouldn't let us leave without leaving a tip on the table. All around disappointing and uncomfortable dining experience

We asked our driver, a former pizza maker, which pizza we should try in Naples - this was his answer. It delivered. Simple, fresh, and flavorful. You can taste each ingredient from the dough to the cheese. The margarita had a fresh, flavorful sauce that balanced the light, crisp dough. The perfect amount of cheese and basil perfectly topped the Naples original. The Adolpho was a white pizza with parma ham, arugula, and tomato. We washed it down with some house brew beers.

I'll start by saying the pizza is delicious! Crispy yet chewy crust and fresh ingredients. We also loved the fried pizza, comes piping hot and very quickly. If you catch them when there's no line, definitely recommend. Now, the reason for taking off two stars is our experience before sitting down. We arrived around 7pm and put our name on the list...we were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. No problem, we grabbed drinks across the street! 30 minutes later, still not seated but still not a problem, we got another drink. After 1.5 hours, the street was so crowded it was hard to move. We went to the hostess to inquire about the wait and she told us we were next. 30 minutes later, six tables sat ahead of us and being pushed around by people trying to walk by...the hangry-ness started to set in. We knew there would be a wait since this place is so popular but we wish they had been more honest about the wait time so we could have walked around or gotten a quick aperitif somewhere else while we waited. So my advice, if you want to try this place - expect a long wait but a hot pizza when you finally do get seated. We noticed a lot do people were ordering takeaway (and only waiting 15 minutes) and the taking their pizzas to a curb nearby to enjoy.

Yet another (rate) 5 star review on our Italian tour and of course it goes to a pizzeria. This one has wold reputation so we to try it out . Waited 35 mins in line and then got seated Don't expect a descent service or an English menu , these guys are focused on making the most amazing pizza and don't seem to care about anything else (yes, I'm still waiting for the chilli peppers I asked 10 hours ago...) We again tried a variety of pizzas - the fungi one (rudolfo I believe ) , two of the perciutto and arugula, one pesto pizza and the one with black olives and capers . All of them were incredible - you would need to eat them with a fork and knife b/c the dough is thin and the toppings are heavy... Bonus points go to the tomato-sauce based pizzas (fungi , olives/capers) b/c of the fresh and tasty sauce . This adds so much. All heartily Recommended , do not miss if you're in Napoli .

A must try when visiting Napoli. They have a variety of different pizzas but the simple and classic margarita is one of the best. Pizzas are reasonably priced, starting at €6.50 Be prepared to wait outside, and don't forget to give your name to the lady outside who adds you to 'the list'! And then 'Wait' .... As she says!

I asked a local where to go for the best pizza in Naples and he suggested this place. The prices are very, very reasonable and the food is spectacular. I loved the fried pizza and arancini. I heard that the lines get very long here, but we visited right at opening and we were the first in line! I definitely recommend this place!

This is the pizzeria all the guidebooks and websites and Bill Clinton seem to recommend, so we decided to give them a try! Their pizza was really good, but not in any different league than other pizzerias here, and definitely not the best we had while in Naples (that crown goes to detail-obsessed OWAP, so far, who came recommended by our Neapolitan host). But the experience dragged it all down ... and I am not talking about having to endure the wait outside the door. We were ushered to a ridiculous canteen plastic table squeezed to the side facing a staircase wall. The acoustics were pretty bad in the old stone domed hall, but they threw kitschy Italian music and a guitar player on top of it, making any sort of conversation a pain. Service was brusque, knowing there were 50 people outside waiting for their place in the sun. Plastic cups for our drinks and dollar-store cutlery, despite charging 2€ coperto. And it wasn't just our table, the whole place is getting crammed to the brim. So - pizza very good but not the best; experience bad; threwn together that's 3/5? I won't be back.

During our one day trip to Napoli, I knew we HAD TO have the famous Sorbillo. We walked there from our Airbnb and as soon as we turned the corner, I saw a huuuuuge crowd of people and I knew we were at the right spot. If you're looking to dine in, expect to wait 2-3 hours. The place looked nice and all. We ordered takeout and it was perfect. It took around 30-45 minutes for our order to be ready, but because Sorbillo is on a busy street with other restaurants and bars-- we used our time wisely and enjoyed wine and appetizers at a nearby restaurant while we waited. Pleasantly surprised by the super reasonable prices - starting at €6.50 for a whole pizza!!! It was SOOO good. We ordered 5 pizzas and all of them were amazing so you really can't go wrong. We had leftovers and the pizza was still very good the next day. Highly recommend.

So so good! One of the best and oldest pizzerias in Napoli! We had the fried pizza which was amazing and also a spicy salami one - that dough is just so soft and light! The place itself was full of hustle and bustle and the staff were full of smiles.

Papa Salvatore Sorbillo presence is felt as he walks the dinning room checking on his creation. The staff is friendly, and seems to really love their job, that says a lot about who they work for! Get whatever pizza toppings call to you, the crust is what makes it. Oh, please don't sleep on the Pizza Fritta. I'm starting to understand and really love, Neopolitan people, cuisine, and their city Italy.

The pizza is definitely five stars. The things that aren't five star are out of the restaurant's control. The insane line is one and the cramped (because of the mass of people they must serve) interior is another. The staff never stop. Hats off to them. My pizza was perfect. I can't think of anything I would have changed. It was head and shoulders above the others I tried along the Via Della Pizza. If you get there early you have a better chance at lighter throng. I got there 15 minutes after opening an was seated immediately. If you try to go at 8:00pm on a Saturday, good luck.

Saw a really long line, so I told myself, we are coming here later. Guess what? We did. They offer a variety of pizza's here, but that's all they serve. However, they have a decent selection of pizza. The restaurant took a break for like 30 minutes which was a bit strange, but other than that it was a great experience. Naples, is the capital of pizza in the world, so try as many as you can.

We ended up here after researching the best pizza and it did not disappoint. It is a great pizza. The service could be better and stop suggesting the more expensive pizzas.

In the vicinity of Christmas alley. This original location is situated next to the "cousin" other Sorbillo spot. Look at the recognizable Sorbillo logo to ensure you're in the right place. We came as soon as they were to open as we were staying in the area. With our luggages in tow, we waited like everyone else with about a group of maybe 10-20 groups in total... We were seated pretty quickly, as everyone else as well. They seem to have dining area on top of the indoor main floor so they have ample seating. I don't believe the outside seating were being used at the time. As Napoli pizza goes, the pizza's were super reasonably priced and bigger than what an American would consider "personal size". So if you're in a group, pick a few and share the flavor. I went with the Margherita to compare to another Napoli old pizza timer. And it was delicious as well. I kinda like the no fuss pizza... delicious. The service was European. Just bring yourself good company that can keep your mind from wondering my tummy is hungry... where's my pizza? Try this global brand. I believe they have locations outside of the heart of Pizza. Treat yourself to Napoli!

I went to the location by the water. This was my first pizza of my Italy trip. I ordered the margherita pizza and it was really good. I personally thought the sauce was a little under seasoned but the crust was really good. My pizza also came out a little more charred than I had expected it to me. It seemed like everyone may have just hyped up the pizza too much so I went in with high expectations.

Cant understand when they call names. What should have been 30min wait turned into 1.5hrs in the heat. Best to go elsewhere.

I never got in to eat. It was a bit busy, but people were getting in relatively quickly. I was a party of one, but they never seated me! I sat there watching at least 5 groups of 2 who got there after me get seated ahead of me. I could see if they were larger groups, but they were not. The "hostess" said the seating for one was different. Yeah, different as in non-existent! After about 25 minutes of this BS, I left.

The pizza at Sorbillo is phenomenal! My wife and I recently visited and tried the Rodolfo and the Salvatore. Both pizzas had soft warm crust. The Rodolfo was topped with crisp arugula, flavorful salty prosciutto, and juicy plum tomatoes. The Salvatore was topped with flavorful tomato sauce, spices, and tender mushrooms. This was some of the best pizza I have had in Italy and is a must visit.

This place has a stupid system where you put your name in and then you wait and wait and wait and they don't tell you whether you're close in line and they're fucking rude. Don't eat here. Don't stand in line and be dummy..

I tried the main location in Naples, Italy. The pizza crust was soft and soggy. The pizza toppings tasted very good but the whole pizza was affected by the soft, soggy crust. I basically had to roll the piece up like a wrap in order to eat it without the toppings falling into my lap. It was such an annoying experience that I forgot to take a picture of the pizza. I never tried the one in NYC because I have fabulous Pizza in my Brooklyn neighborhood. I was gonna try the one in Manhattan to compare but to tell you the truth, I'm not even gonna go there because if they can't make crust right in Italy, they probably can't do crust in New York either.

I truly don't understand what people see in this place. Always a very long line and the pizza is a soggy mess. The toppings are good, but the crust is truly disgusting. Not cooked (even though we asked for extra crispy). And they can't get you out fast enough. Don't bother using the bathroom. Floors are sticky with piss and dirtier than a gas station. They do have one decent beer. Avoid. Avoid.

We waited 3 hours for a table at Sorbillo, and it was worth it! We were in Naples 2 days and had to stop by and give it a try. The service wasn't very efficient, there was one waiter waiting over ten tables running back and forth. our food took a while but by the time it came we were so ready for it. We tried 4 different kinds and all of them were amazing! It was a much bigger restaurant than it looks like from the outside, it's definitely a hole in the wall.

Good pizza above average and good price. Like can be very long. Will I recommend to wait so long ? Maybe not. Service was extremely friendly.

At first I was unsure about all the hype...thought this many reviews and reference on every travel guide must've made this place touristy. But the pizza crust and flavors did all the talking and proved me wrong. So soft, fresh and doughy- definitely was in pizza heaven (and I'm not even a fan of Margherita pizza- their specialty). We got to the restaurant around 6:20 pm and there was already a line. Note this pizza place is located on top of an incline, across the street from a drinks place. Cheers to the reviewer before me for recommending aperol spritzers from across the street while waiting in line. The service was great! Pizza came out pretty quickly and our server was very attentive. I gave 4 stars bc I wasn't a fan of the in and out concept. As a group was paying, the next folks standing in line outside were already ushered inside the restaurant to take their place. When you're this popular you have to do what you have to do ‍ Highly recommend paying this inexpensive pizza spot a visit if you're in Naples and have about an hour to two hours to spare to experience the ultimate pizza goodness

Dumbest hours of operation I have ever seen out of all the businesses i have seen in the entire world. Always a long wait.

Don't walk, RUN here!! Best pizza I've ever had and very sad to see they closed their shop in New York during Covid but oddly that one is not well recommended compared to this original. The pizza was absolutely divine and definitely get a pie with red sauce. So so good, and lines can get up to two hours around 8pm on a Friday night as witnessed passing by later. We went at 5pm and got seated promptly but the restaurant was already 80% full at that time. A must in Naples!!!

Great margarita pizza - made w/plenty of fresh buffalo motz cheese. Nice wine by the glass. Service friendly and fast. Highly recommend.

Some of the best pizza I have had in my life. This is a must stop in Naples. There is usually a line to get seated, but it is worth the wait. I suggest going for an earl dinner because it is less busy and you can grab a drink across the alleyway as you wait. I highly suggest trying their pesto pizza. It was the most delicious pesto I have had in my entire life and trip!
