"Sometimes you just need a place that never lets you down. Sure, it might not blow you away, but it will always deliver, just like Celine at her Vegas show. Every. Single. Night. Glaze is always good in a pinch for healthy bowls and salads that actually taste good. Adding salmon won’t set your credit score back, and for that we are grateful." - Taylor Abrams

Google
Love this place for good flavor, fast, and hits my macros ;) the grass fed steak is the best!!!

Google
Bowls were tasty! If rice, meat and a bit of greens is your thing - that place is amazing! (I would love more variety on the veggies side) Staff were friendly and attentive!

Alex Jewett

Google
Our family comes here multiple times a week for the King Ora Salmon, chicken, and veggies. Healthy and very tasty. The service is also great - last time I visited I forgot to order my salmon gluten free and they remade it for me even though it was my error!

Burton Lewis Jr.

Google
Looking for a quick bite but stumbled into something that offered a little more — and in a very good way. The food was delicious and filling. The atmosphere felt cozy and looked picturesque with a ton of daylight coming in. The seating could be a little more comfortable and the service is the order and listen out for your name to pick up. This place feels like it's more for lunch and casual dining.

Google
I love coming here! The food is excellent and the customer service is the sweetest. They’re always helpful to me and my son. My fave lunch spot.

Yoshie Otomo

Google
I have ordered from here in person and through delivery service. The food is consistently delicious and neatly packed, with good portions. The establishment itself is clean and the staff are friendly. Would highly recommend!

Amanda Reddick

Google
The food was super fresh and delicious. I’ve ordered a steak and teriyaki chicken bowl. Both were great over rice.

Brock Zych

Google
I ordered takeout at the store and had my food within 10 minutes! The food was also a good portion and their teriyaki sauce was pretty good. Next time I'll get the extra spicy, if you like spice I'd recommend going up a level!

Joyce K.

Yelp
Love this spot for a quick and balanced work lunch in Williamsburg. The menu is pretty straightforward - you pick a protein (my favs are chicken breast and either salmon option), a base (rice or salad), a dressing for the side salad (my fav is sesame), and a teriyaki sauce for the protein. Overall feels very healthy / good amount of protein and their sauces are bomb! They have some small sides and canned drinks too. Service is quick and friendly, and there's a fair amount of comfortable seating.

Yelp
I am so frustrated with this place that I felt compelled to warn others. Glaze Teriyaki has the absolute worst service when it comes to basic customer requests. Every single time I place an order for takeout, I specifically ask for utensils (because, you know, it's a takeout meal and you're not exactly going to be eating it with your hands). And every single time, without fail, they fail to include utensils. I don't know if they just don't read orders, or if they assume people are somehow supposed to eat sticky teriyaki rice and chicken without a fork or spoon, but it's completely unacceptable. This has happened multiple times, and I've even called them to ask for utensils and it still doesn't happen. You'd think after the third or fourth time, they would get the hint. The food isn't bad, but I'm done putting up with this constant inconvenience. There are plenty of other places that can get the basics right.

Yelp
Got groceries at Whole Foods one block away. Was about to walk to the L train when I saw the logo of "Glaze Teriyaki" right across the street. So, I decided to stop by for lunch. It's a decently small space but there're 7 tables with benches and stools. 3 long tables and 4 short, round tables in total. If you're lucky enough, you might be able to find a wall outlet next to where you're sitting. Been to the Union Square location before, didn't have a good experience there. However, I thought I should give this chained eatery another chance before saying no altogether. Glad I had gone to a different Glaze Teriyaki location instead because I've liked the Williamsburg spot way better than the Union Square one. Ordered the hidden fjord salmon (protein), white rice (w/ side of mixed greens) as the base, carrot ginger (salad dressing), and regular teriyaki sauce. They've different proteins from chicken thigh, filet mignon, ora king salmon, pork ribs to organic tofu. Menu is simple and straightforward. Sometimes, a great meal is just rice or mixed greens with the protein. You would place a food order when going in, order with cash or card, and wait for your food to come out. The utensils (forks, knifes, and spoons, & chopsticks) and napkins are all placed in the front counter. Whether you're vegan/vegetarian or a 24/7 carnivore, you're bound to find something you would like. I chose to eat here instead of taking it to go because I felt like the portion wise tended to be bigger compared to people's takeout orders. Additionally, it looked more appetizing as a whole in the rounded dish for eating it here anyway. Salmon was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Nothing was overcooked and didn't taste like piece of rubber. Mixed leafy greens were crisp and fresh with a refreshing dose of carrot ginger dressing. As for the white rice, it could've been cooked a little firmer because some parts were mushier in the middle but still very tasty. The regular teriyaki sauce tasted just fine and just enough savory sweetness with the salmon. Didn't pick the spicy or extra spicy version as I couldn't really eat spicy stuff in general. I like how there's a DIY sauce station on the side for customers to pour more teriyaki sauce in their bowl if necessary. Interior design is clean, comfy and simplistic: white tiles, light brown wooden wall, and white marble tables. There're tall plants and small plants by the entrance/exit, as well as potted plants on the side. Makes you feel like you're eating lunch in the backyard under the warm sun. Clean single restroom stall in the back. Everything was neatly stacked and organized on the shelves. Very fast service from super friendly staff. They greeted me with a smile and that made me feel welcoming. I can totally see myself keep coming back to this place for lunch or dinner whenever I'm in Williamsburg. P.S. Any main/protein can be prepared as gluten free (GF) upon request!!! - Until next time!!! -

Yelp
Great place for a quick meal. They don't skimp on the portions. For 14$ you get a choice of two proteins I chose salmon and chicken breast with brown rice and salad. Everything tasted very fresh chicken was cooked perfectly , salmon was slightly over. Overall I enjoy going here for quick meals and will be back. Spicy teriyaki sauces here really have a kick!

Deanna P.

Yelp
Tasty food with good portions if you're in the mood for a quick bite. Everything was made fast and fresh, and we enjoyed the chicken teriyaki. We got a side of cucumbers which were fresh, but we wished they had a bit more flavor like some sesame oil or soy sauce or something.

Anne R.

Yelp
What do you get when you combine a chipotle ordering concept with teriyaki stir-fry? That's Glaze. Choose your protein, your rice, your additions, and your sauce. No worries if you aren't sure about sauce when you dine in-house because there's a sauce bar that lets you try them all. If the 4-6oz portion of protein isn't filling enough, the cup of rice and any extra veggies certainly will be. The menu specifies gluten-free as nothing contains wheat, but if you're celiac, those sauces may have soy, so ask ahead. The service was friendly and fast, though I could also tell a bit under pressure from management; so there's that. The indoor dining atmosphere was clean and modern and fresh and comfortable for a couple or four friends to sit together at small tables with bowls.

Sara W.

Yelp
Not bad, but was really average. About $13 for a bowl of rice with chicken thighs, and the chicken to rice ratio was not perfect with there being more rice than chicken. The salad was a nice side too. Service was a bit slow but it was lunch time, so to be expected. Ambiance is also minimalist and trendy, good for a quick bite.

Gabby G.

Yelp
Delicious and filling bowls! Lots of protein choices. You can customize how spicy you want your teriyaki sauce and what salad dressing you want. The place itself is bright and welcoming with plenty of indoor seating that's suitable for solo diners or small groups. Grass fed beef bowl was yummy, excited to try more!

Ellie S.

Yelp
UPDATE: they remodeled the Williamsburg location, still great vibes and service + a self-serve kiosk if you're in a rush and/or antisocial. Food comes quick, the spicy sauce is less spicy now after the changes they made a few months ago so I may have to venture to the super spicy sauce to see if I can handle it I need some veggies, will be back!

Alejandra N.

Yelp
i love this place! very basic and healthy and sometimes EXACTLY what i'm craving to feel reset. i'm a huge fan of the lemon honey dressing for the salad and the hot sauce here is TO DIE for. i always the spiciest option and ask for additional to last me some other meals - the flavor is so addicting! very simple, reliable, and satisfying

Katey G.

Yelp
I've been such a big fan of Glaze for 8+ years since they first opened in Union Square. There's something about a simple teriyaki bowl that does it for me, and Glaze was always a trusty option. I order for delivery from this location thanks to Caviar. My favorite order is rice with salad and sesame dressing, steak with extra teriyaki on the side. You really can't go wrong with this order. Sometimes I treat myself and get a steak and salmon combo (although I usually find the fish isn't in the best shape). For a teriyaki bowl, look no further. Would love if they added some additional small plates beyond their current selection!

Alex L.

Yelp
I've past this spot a few times and finally decided to give it a go with a group of friends visiting the neighborhood. My steak and salmon combo plate was cooked pretty quick and was tasty too. Portion size was reasonable given the price. I did really appreciate the gluten free option. My friend who ordered this had his bowl take a little longer to make (I'm guessing the GF mains were being prepared ad hob) but still enjoyed his bowl. My only complaint was that I felt the staff were not really friendly. We were rushed the moment we stepped in to be ready to order and we had a couple odd comments from the chef..

Hailey S.

Yelp
This is an enjoyable quick stop restaurant chain, with locations in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. I love the healthy food options they offer, and the teriyaki sauce they use is delicious. My go-to is their chicken teriyaki bowl with rice and salad. It's a good portion size and always manages to satisfy both my hunger and my tastebuds. It's nothing fancy, but still hits the spot. Good place to stop for a quick bite or takeout. Hot tip: Any main can be made gluten-free upon request.

Kevin W.

Yelp
There was definitely enough food but the teriyaki sauce just seemed too salty for my taste. If it was only a bit salty, I would've been fine with it but the base of the sauce seemed like too much soy sauce. Probably would not order from this establishment again. Had mediocre expectations and didn't really deliver.

T T.

Yelp
Very surprised by the quality of the food! the chicken breast and steak is very tender! The sauce is right amount of sweet and saltiness. love they have brown rice as one of their choice! The portion is just right. After a good workout, this place is a good option to hit up!

Sam S.

Yelp
I'm glad that there is a place nearby where I live that claims it can make any of it's teriyaki bowls gluten-free. Sadly the staff were a bit rude in rushing us to order even though there were no other guests behind us in line. I was excited to be able to pick 2 different meats for my bowl. I will admit that mine did take probably 20 minutes more than everyone else's to prepare since I asked for it to be made gluten free, but I think that's a good thing to know they likely take the extra precautions even if it takes a bit more time. The bowl was flavorful and filling and at the reasonable price point I'd definitely come back some time.

Tiramisuzy F.

Yelp
Hits the spot and affordable. I got the gas fed steak. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Diane B.

Yelp
50/50, roll the dice! Sometimes perfectly acceptable. Sometimes it causes major stomach issues for me. I ate it yesterday and feel sick still today.

Angelika S.

Yelp
Usually, this is my go-to meal after a workout; quick, healthy(ish) and a good portion of protein, unlike places like Cava or Chipotle. BUT, I woke up this morning feeling deeply unwell from the chicken thigh bowl I had last night. I don't get crazy spicy for the sauce or anything, so I think, unfortunately, it's food poisoning.

Patrick F.

Yelp
How was the food? I'm not sure, to be honest. It took so long to arrive that it may already have reached the first stage of decay... But what I can say is that the rice was not the kind I had ordered and partially undercooked, at the "break-out-a-crown" level. The teriyaki sauce was unnecessarily tangy flavored, somewhat at odds with the notion of a teriyaki-specialized place. The "glaze" was lacking as well. The salad was warmer than the chicken and the dressing also not the one I ordered. In summary: probably not the kind of food for which you'd wanna pay and wait a couple of hours to arrive...

Micah P.

Yelp
Solid fast casual spot for a healthy quick meal. Quality has remained consistent throughout the years it's been here in North Williamsburg. Food is consistently tasty, filling and fresh. Prices are reasonable. I've never left a bad review. But the customer service could be improved. If there's an error with an order because of communication-- things like this happen. Acknowledge and fix it. It's not acceptable to go back and forth, telling i ordered white rice when I said brown (trying to be healthy over here). I was ready to leave. But they offered to fix it-- cool. But then whispering under your breath while I'm waiting. It was an uncomfortable visit. In short, great food; customer service is usually good. May just start going to Manhattan to fix my teriyaki cravings, because consumers rather not support rude businesses.

Izais R.

Yelp
I first tried this place after hearing my significant other rave about great this place was and how much she looked forward to having it for lunch and she was not wrong. First bite in and I was addicted. I had a steak bowl with brown rice and spicy teriyaki sauce and fell in love. If this place was a little more south in Brooklyn I'd eat it every day

M P.

Yelp
Great quality fresh food in a flash at a reasonable price. I love the King Salmon with the Ginger Carrot Dressing.

Stella O.

Yelp
Healthy fantastic tasting dishes. My favorite is the combo salad. Filling and inexpensive. Always a great meal.

Brianna T.

Yelp
So good ordered takeout and will order again had the Salmon Teriyaki so filling and every bite was delicious

N C.

Yelp
Outstanding customer service. Quick in and out on take out orders and the teriyaki salmon and the chicken are phenomenal. Great spot

Judah H.

Yelp
After work date with a friend from Ukraine, and she really wanted to try this place, before our movie. I got the Chicken Teriyaki, with Spicy Sauce, Brown Rice, and the side of lettuce for a freaking $12.00us. Total waste as the Spicy Sauce was only like a half a ounce...,the the Chicken meat, I had to chew excessively longer than usual because of the style of cooking. The Brown Rice wasn't that good either, as it was apparently over buttery. My date has a Steak & Chicken dish, that she gave a 6.5 on a scale of 1 - 10. I probably won't return back again.

Jeniece R.

Yelp
Glaze is one of my favorite places to eat! There is a location near my job, and I was wandering through Brooklyn and my bf and I found this location and decided to stop in. The first thing I noticed was the decor in the restaurant was so much nicer than the location I normally go to. It looked very modern. I ordered the chicken breast with sesame dressing and spicy sauce and white rice which was delicious as always. Also, we mentioned that we were dining in and we got our food in real bowls which i thought was nice. They have free water as well. I really liked the vibe in this location.

Curryface P.

Yelp
Very unexpected that a place like this would have me sweating harder than halal guys' hot sauce. Incredible deal getting steak and chicken. Very high quality. A pretty healthy ish go to.

Julianne A.

Yelp
We've gotten glaze a couple of times for lunch delivery and it's delicious. I got the salmon and steak combo with rice and salad with carrot-ginger dressing. My husband for some reason ordered his without dressing, took one taste of my carrot-ginger and regretted it. He's lucky I gave him half of mine - just enough dressing for the both of us! The proteins have a delicious grilled flavor, are tender and pair perfectly with the tasty sauce.

Serge K.

Yelp
Wow! This food is amazing! My son brought some home today. We live far away and by the time the food got to me, did it cooled off to the point where no other meal would still be enjoyable. I'm having the steak with white rice and honey lemon seasoning. The dish looks simple enough. Some rice some steak and a salad on the side. This is salad dressing is bonkers! It's so good! I don't know what kind of steak this is, but it's soft and juicy like a skirt steak and this is after it's been cooling for an hour and a half as my son made his way home. If this stuff is this good when it's cold, I can't imagine how good it is when it's just prepared. And the price is extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. We didn't pay any more than we would have at your below average fast food chain and we got a fresh, delicious, exotic meal. Amazing! Can't wait to eat here again.

Paul J.

Yelp
We have been coming here since it opened but my last trip will truly be "my last trip" The portion sizes have gotten so significantly smaller that I had to complain. When I told the person behind the counter about my dissatisfaction I was told "the portion size can vary". That's it?? Ok I'm out for good, goodbye Glaze

Erj E.

Yelp
Horrible service! Watch out ! The combo is supposed to include two types of protein but if you ask for one type (and have it twice ) they'll charge you extra! On top Of it the service is slow and inefficient . ordering food over the phone is like getting a mortgage! It takes forever! The food is not tasty and definitely doesn't justify the price

Anthony W.

Yelp
This an update to this location. One of the employees didn't even greet me as I entered the shop. I stood there for a few mins completely ignored. As she only paid attention to the high influx of orders coming in from grubhub, doordash, Uber, etc I had to stand in front of the register to see if she would acknowledge me. She did, only to tell me to move aside. Only to ring up a customer behind me for pick up. I used to work in hospitality/retail such as Trader Joe's and acknowledging everyone that walks in is rule number 1. Always treat others the way you want to be treated. I could put her on blast. But these are hard times for some people and don't want to see her fired. Just in need of education on dealing with the public. I deliver food for extra cash. I'll seek a way to have this establishment black listed. Too many employees here give off a bad vibe. I guess they don't pay you guys well. For shame. This is not the Brooklyn way I LOVE teriyaki and I was very pleased to discover this place while on a deliver for my clients. So when I came upon this place for multiple pick up I was ignored. For over 5 mins (Had a bright colored motorcycle jacket and matching helmet.) Additionally, as a base line, when I go in shops in the same neighborhood including Bushwick I am greeted almost instantly (I am a stand in for an actual customer after all. Sadly to say I won't accept any more delivery pings from this shop as well as being an actual patron

Kimmy U.

Yelp
If you want fast food, I would definitely come here! After ordering my meal, I received it in minutes. It's one of those order and pay first at the cash register type of places. Super simple -- choose your base, protein, and salad dressing. The amount of food is just right to be full in my opinion. I chose brown rice, chicken thigh, and sesame dressing for my salad = $10.44 after tax. **LevelUp gives you $5 off for your first visit! #winning The whole meal was satisfying and the chicken wasn't dry at all. Standard teriyaki sauce that isn't tooo sweet.

Chris K.

Yelp
I teriyaki chicken. If you're a fan of healthy food at reasonable prices, then Glaze will hit the spot. I ordered the teriyaki chicken breast plate with brown rice and sesame dressing on the salad. The portions will definitely fill you up. It's great they give you both rice and salad at no extra cost- which is a nice win for lunch! The teriyaki chicken was soft and juicy with a nice char on the outside. Teriyaki sauce was pretty good and helped complement the chicken very well. This may be my favorite lunch spot in Williamsburg!

Fiora F.

Yelp
I was walking around Lexington for lunch and saw a people walking with a Glaze bag. I was curious on what they serve and found my way to the store. It smell really good as you immediately walk in. I order the bowl and selected salmon as my main and rice. It came with a side salad as well. It took them less than 5 minutes to prep. They also have additional sauces on the side near the pick up station. In addition, the space was relatively clean and spacious. The only thing that could have been better was the rice which was a bit soggy than expected but everything else was seasoned well. Super convenient and reasonably price for Manhattan.

George C.

Yelp
Missed their opening but dropped in a few weeks later to find a pretty quiet space on a weekday afternoon. The usual undercooked veggies Doused with sauce and decent gyoza on the side. Transaction Amount $10.34 Wok Vegetables $7.50 Combo 2 $2.00 Other* * tax or other one-off adjustments $0.84 Total Rewards -- $10.34

Jamel F.

Yelp
I had to write this after being a customer for two years !! This place has never let me down . The staff top notch!! Food top notch ! When I'm having a bad day sometimes I drive out of my way just to get some salmon ! I was in the hospitality industry for almost 20 years so I know and appreciate great service and a quality product! Once I became a manager found it extremely hard to find quality workers , every person they hire is pleasant which is so hard to find now a days ! I know the world don't know I try to show as much love as I can as far as a tip but the world need to know y'all Dope !!! I don't drink so I don't have a local pub but this is as close as I can get to a "CHEERS" environment! Lol Thank put some GLAZE ON IT !!

Eunice Y.

Yelp
They are finally open today! I have been waiting for them to open since I saw their sign last year!! I ordered salmon teriyaki (with spicy sauce) with Fried gyoza and cold soba noodle salad. Salmon teriyaki (4/5): salmon was well cooked. very moist inside. rice was cooked well as well (I ordered brown rice). Fried gyoza (4/5): very crispy!!! you have to pay $2 more for combo B which comes with gyoza or cucumber salad or veggies. I recommend getting combo B with Gyoza! Cold soba noodle salad (3/5): I liked it, but not loved it. The only thing that made me took 1 point off was it was bit oily. very flavorful though My friend ordered chicken teriyaki and she loved it!! Their staff are very friendly as well. You get to watch them preparing/cooking food. It's in my neighborhood and I feel like I will order my lunch here every day!!! They are offering a donation to animal shelter (so nice of them!!!) and get free food ONLY today!

Kevin V.

Yelp
This was my first time ordering from Glaze teriyaki. The food was ready promptly and freshly. I ordered some Pork dumplings and chicken breast with extra spicy sauce and brown rice. The brown rice was very good nice and sticky like Japanese rice should be. The dumplings were crispy and fresh and the pork inside the dumplings was delicious and very flavorful. The salad that comes with it with the Sesame dressing was pretty good to I'd probably try a different dressing for me next time. The extra spicy sauce was great. I'm always a big fan of things with good spice and the extra spicy sauce hit all the right spots for me. You could see the bits of chili that the sauce was made out of and the spice was perfect. As for the portion the portion was great for the price especially for a to go portion. It was perfect size for a lunch time meal and the fact that it's so close to my job makes it even better for me. I'd have to try it in the restaurant next time to see what else Glaze teriyaki has to offer.

Diana C.

Yelp
The salmon teriyaki is my go to, the tofu is grilled and has that charred taste to it. The chicken breast wasn't too dry this time, but the thigh is usually mostly salty... but it's still juicy. They do have free glasses in case you want water. They also have extra glaze on the side, and sriracha. You can pick chop sticks or forks, or use your hands... you wont be judged.

Ashley B.

Yelp
I've been dying to try this spot and today was the day. I ordered the salmon bowl with rice and salad with carrot ginger dressing and my boyfriend ordered the fried pork gyoza and the steak teriyaki bowl. I should have went with my gut and got the steak but I always go for salmon I don't know why lol . That steak was so tender and flavorful. Their teriyaki sauce itself is so good so anything convered in it would be amazing. I'm obsessed with carrot ginger dressing so the salad didn't disappoint. The dumplings were flavorful although I think we got chicken instead of pork. My only criticism would be the gyoza sauce needed a tad more acid it was too soy heavy and there was too much rice. Next time I might just get a salad with the protein it was that good and the skins of the dumplings were really good definitely homemade not too thick. I also wish there was an option even with an up charge to do a steak/salmon combo plate because it gives you the option to order a combo with all proteins, but that combo . Order then that I would totally recommend and will be ordering again.

Dylan P.

Yelp
Come here multiple times a week. My favorite food spot in Williamsburg. Highly recommend! -Faithful customer Dylan

Yelp
I'm not sure what happened from the opening of the Union Square location to this one in Williamsburg around the corner from the Apple Store, but this mini-chain has gone from the middle of the fast casual pack to the very top. The concept here is rather simple, as all good takeout places should be. It's teriyaki, which comes either as just veggies, tofu, salmon or chicken. The salmon is probably the best deal, a nice piece of fish. Everything comes with a well-dressed salad and white or brown rice. (The super health conscious can ditch the rice, but my friend wasn't sure this left here with more vegetables than everyone else). The space is minimalist and inviting, a series of small tables and a long shared counter in the middle. The food is well-presented, tasty and even comes with a series of La Croix. While it's not the cheapest teriyaki in the city, it is very satisfying, well considered meal to grab on the go.

James W.

Yelp
The cashier is extremely unprofessional. I was waiting in line to order and she treated me like I owe her something by the way her name is Jessica. All she said is don't have this sign and rude face. Not recommend

Jooie J.

Yelp
Even though I live around the restaurant I had never tried to enter the door because of the bad reviews. However, I found out they serve really good food. I liked the teriyaki sauce for its mild sweetness. Usually I don't quite like teriyaki for its inflated sweet and oily flavor. I thought glaze teriyaki was too low-valuated for everything. Ahh but one thing, I don't think they know how to use the ventilation. Other than that, it was fairly good experience.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
Good, quick food with healthy, vegan options. I got the grilled veggie and tofu combo with rice and a salad and I'll go back if I'm looking for a quick bite.

Oladis M.

Yelp
Customer service was great! Nice place and atmosphere! Food was done in no time! Perfect portion. I definitely recommend eating here. I loved how fried the gyoza were. They truly hold their definition of crispy!! Pork filling could have been better from other places I tried. But over all very good and satisfied!
