As someone who regularly makes homemade noodles and Gnocchi, this spot is fantastic. Gnocchi on Ninth is dedicated entirely to handmade gnocchi, offering delicious meals at an incredibly reasonable $10 price point. Their gnocchi Alla Vodka is a fresh, tomato-forward sauce, complemented by visible bits of rosemary and basil. The texture of the gnocchi hits that perfect balance of soft yet satisfyingly chewy. That isn't easy to do, and they make it seem effortless.
Not only is it delicious, the portions are generous, and the potato is filling making it easy to share. My wife and I split a single order and were both perfectly full. Service is quick, making it a great choice for a fast lunch or early dinner. Though primarily a to-go setup, there's a single outdoor table for those who want to sit down.
This is a solid option for anyone looking for high-quality, affordable gnocchi. It's worth checking out if you have any inkling of hunger at all.
This is a setup I've only ever seen in Venice, and I am so happy to see it here in NYC.
