"Godaillein French slang means feasting and making merry among good friends. So let's get to it and tuck into this invigorating, flavoursome cuisine! This eatery run by a group of pals gives pride of place to spices and fresh herbs, in dishes such as fried chicken with super-soft meat in a crispy golden crumb, alongside a ginger-lemon sauce; bouchot mussels are served with a coconut-green curry sauce and Thai herbs. The pleasant, slightly retro interior is complemented by a lovely bunch of fresh flowers on each table. A fine selection of natural and organic wines (including some orange wines)." - Michelin Inspector

The 15 Best New Restaurants In Paris

"One half of the partnership behind this modern bistro on Square Trousseau formerly worked at Septime, which means there was some built-in buzz when it opened. Stroll through the nearby Marché d’Aligre before making your way here for a leisurely, €30 three-course lunch. They also have an a la carte menu with appetizers like green curry mussels and smoked trout in a sesame and peanut sauce, and mains like a hefty hanger steak with marshmallow-sized fried gnocchi in a light, Frenchified BBQ sauce. The beautiful, high-ceilinged room, with brass sconces and distressed leather seats, is nice and inviting, and the service is, as the French say, top." - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta

Amazing spot. Serene terrace with excellent service. All the food hits it with big flavors and perfect technique. The selection of wine by the glass is deep - really allowing you to try a lot of different things.

The ambiance was nice and the appetizers and entrees were good. The staff seemed kind of stressed though. When it was time for dessert, instead of just giving us a menu, our server decided to describe them out loud. He literally just said “Basque cheesecake” for one of them. So when it came out, we were surprised to see it was totally different, some nutty chocolate cheesecake thing that we didn’t even finish. Its not that we hated it, but if you’re going to describe the desserts instead of showing us a menu, at least describe them accurately. Otherwise just bring the menu and let us read it ourselves.

I wished I loved this place but maybe cause am not French - I didn’t. This restaurant was recommended by several food blogs. The prime rib was the thing to get. I don’t eat a ton of meat but I love trying new things. However I really hated the prime rib. It tasted like ham mixed with beef and had a soggy chewy texture. It was a huge portion though. However spending $100 on this beef was upsetting. I maybe took 2 bites. The crispy rice was decent along with the potatoes. Overall maybe it’s just not the food for me. Service was nice.

Best meal during our trip to France. I had my doubts when I was looking at the menu because of the small number of dishes and they seemed unusual. But everything we had was terrific--flatbread appetizer, moules, fish and cheese plate. The service was warm and friendly. the restaurant is small but classy. Don't hesitate to reserve a table!

Leaving a review at the request of the restaurant. We had a really lovely meal here. They have great non alcoholic options on their drinks menu and the green curry mussels were to die for. Flavors here are truly top notch. Unfortunately the steak dish (which cost 95 euros and designed for sharing) had an absurd amount of sinew and - I would say maybe 10-15% of the steak and was a disappointing factor. Still would recommend this place as the flavors were amazing but it's a bit expensive for the quality served.

Fantastic and personable service with good wine recommendations. The food was lovely with thai flavours combined with French cooking techniques. A very welcome change from the usual bistro fare/flavours. This restaurant deserves its high rating.

Visiting after seeing in Michelin guide. Very much a neighborhood spot. We dined on one of their outdoor tables - it's on a very charming street. Food is outstanding. The menu is focused but with good diversity for all palates/restrictions. The croquette and veal were absolutely delicious. Our meal tasted elevated but with very classic/homey flavors - like grandmother's cooking. Wine is list also excellent - felt like a focus on smaller/clubby producers. Warm and friendly service.

Absolutely delicious food using Asian spices. Every dish perfectly prepared with complex and interesting flavors while the food was light and fresh. The small menu had a variety that would satisfy meat eaters, as well as vegetarians. It is as good as all the other reviewers say
