Godunk Thai was a genuinely impressive dining experience. The space has a warm, cinematic atmosphere, dim lighting, cozy seating, and a calm energy that makes the meal feel intentional rather than rushed.
We ordered a range of dishes, and everything showed strong character and depth of flavor. The Had Yai fried chicken was beautifully executed! The skin was crispy and juicy inside, and the top was covered with fragrant fried shallots. The Kra Prow beef delivered bold, authentic Thai flavors with aromatic basil, garlic, and chilies. The dry suki was rich and satisfying, with glass noodles soaking up the savory sauce perfectly alongside shrimp and pork belly.
The Hunglay pork was another highlight! It was tender, slow-braised, and deeply flavorful with a slightly sweet, spiced profile. The Choo Chee prawn brought a creamy, aromatic curry element that balanced the meal nicely. Even the puff tofu was excellent, light, crispy, and great for dipping.
Flavors were layered, portions generous, and everything paired perfectly with a cold beer. Godunk feels like a thoughtful interpretation of Thai street food with real depth and care.
Would absolutely return.
