The beef bowl was absolutely incredible. The meat was tender and juicy, with a slightly spicy sauce that made every bite perfect. The rice was cooked exactly right, firm and not overcooked, just the way it should be. The salad surprised me even more. It had fresh greens mixed with delicate herbs like parsley and mint, along with marinated onions and a few slices of pickled cucumbers that added even more brightness and flavor. I truly enjoyed it.

Here’s a picture of their orange chicken. I’m a fan of orange chicken, but I’ve never had it with actual orange slices before. If I’d seen a picture beforehand, I probably wouldn’t have ordered it. Soo here’s one for anyone else wondering what it looks like!

We heard Fareground had good food options, but I was skeptical we would be met with chain restaurants. Instead we were pleasantly surprised. We checked all the options and landed at Golden Boy, who greeted us with friendly suggestions and customizations. Thank our lucky stars! What a find! We split the pork belly bao, I got the shrimp bowl and a pineapple mint tea, hubby got the sumay (sp?) chicken and the lemonade. We were both so happy with our choices and agreed it was a much healthier, and yet great tasting option from our bbq experience yesterday. Austin is bringing the good food experiences but Golden Boy is a unique and special gem! Not to mention the indoor food court has AC which is appreciated! ;-) please come to Phoenix so I can have more!

Wow! Really great flavor combinations on the Baos, I had the beef and pork which had completely different flavor profiles and fresh flavors on a tender bun. Cucumber salad with Gochuhlgaru, herbs and peanuts was an excellent foil to the rich buns.

Absolutely delicious. I ate there twice during my visit and would definitely be a regular if I was a local. Their fried chicken bowl is delicious and service is friendly and fast. Lots of gluten and dairy free options.

Whenever I'm in Downtown Austin this is my go-to. The salmon bowl is incredible and just feels so healthy. The food here could easily rival that of any tier one sit-down restaurant. You can tell this is a chef driven menu, and Austin is lucky to have a lunch spot like this that is fast and to-go friendly. Please open one in Houston.

Food with a depth of good flavors happening. Service that was friendly AND engaging. This is great addition to the Fareground lineup. Really do appreciate the creativity and how the meal fit together. Well done.
